I bought a Groupon for a massage. The owner of the company never responded to my calls. I asked Groupon to return my money and was told I could only receive site credit bec it had been 3 days since I made the purchase. I'm disputing the charge with my bank and filing a complaint with the BBB. I will not use this site again and don't recommend it to others.
First off I booked a room thru Groupon to save only to arrive at my confirmed paid hotel to find out Groupon is not accepted there. Which rise a red flag of why did Groupon take my money if they knew there no longer with the property. So the hotel GM stated I would have to be refunded by Groupon cause one they have no reservation in their system and two they don't accept Groupon. So I contact Groupon via email cause they have no C's number. The state I have to get a letter in writing from the hotel stating I didn't stay there. Wait, wtf do I have to get a letter when y'all know I didn't stay there cause y'all not affiliated with them no mo as of 8 months ago. Smh you mfs contact them not me smh. I drove 5hrs to be disappointed I refuse to do any other $#*! when y'all knew. So refund me money ASAP
I had a problem with a Gropon purchase, and I tried to talk to customer service. It is only online, they were not able to help me, and I lost the money. I kept asking them to explain what they could do, and they went back to try to get me to deal with the local businesses, which were not able to assist me since it was a groupon. This is the second time that Groupon has not been able to assist me. I canceled the app, and I will never buy anything with Groupon. I did not save money; I actually lost the money and needed to buy the deal at a regular price since I promised my kids to go kayaking. Sad, but for last time.
I purchased a Groupon for a restaurant. It was listed as a restaurant. It was listed as one of those like modern places where you can get special, cocktails, and food. I went there and it was a nasty dive bar full of drunks watching sports. I contacted Groupon to try to get a refund and they have been rude. They will not give you your money back or credit you cannot get a refund or credit. If you buy a Groupon, the Groupon is yours they give you three days to even get Groupon bucks and then they offered me 24 hours to use the Groupon bucks. It's not worth it. False advertising? Certainly seem like it to me. And then there was nothing I could do they would not help me at all and I contacted five different ways. I have never spending another penny in Groupon.
I purchased an escape room experience but could not use the voucher as I could never contact them to book and the web site never had any booking slots. Groupon are so unhelpful just keeps repeating I can have a voucher. I want a refund. Customer service is appalling vouchers are not worth having
I bought a Groupon for an interior car vac service but the vendor closed shop any time it even sprinkled so I couldn't use it. Groupon refused to refund the cost or even let me trade it in. They wanted me to cash it in with the vendor and then I would have to pay the difference - which means I would be paying full price. What a rip-off!

Initially they are having issues with their website, I saw a coach sunglasses for 5$ and ordered 2 pair. But after a day they cancelled both the orders and gave me refund. But how disappointing, because of there website issues they could not deliver there order.
Purchased a voucher to be redeemed for an architecture tour for four. When we tried to redeem our voucher, we were told by the boat company that no seats were available for the week we are in Chicago...and yet, they are taking full-price tourists. The deal is no deal at all since we could not even return our voucher for a credit. Groupon accepts no responsibility. SHAME SHAME... SCAM SCAM...
WHen would they allow us to redeem... in the winter?
I would put 0 stars if I could! Don't use this app! They will take your money and refuse to refund you! I a session of sculpsure and the clinic during the screening didn't feel I was a good candidate and wouldn't get the results. They recommended getting a refund, since the voucher wasn't redeemed. They took for ever to respond to say they wouldn't be refunding me!
Groupon sold me a city pass twice due to their broken website. They are not refunding saying all sales are final! What a joke of a company and what a joke of support people.
I will not trust my money with these folks again. They are a big company that acts like a bunch of scammers.
Groupon use to be such a great experience. You could try new restaurants and experiences, try out a new salon. It was fun. I even used it in the past for my resume.
It's been a few years and a couple months ago I decided to buy a resume deal. Well. Okay. It was bad. I mean the person doing my resume didn't even proof it. Spelling errors. Duplicate info. Just bad. I figured 'just a bad apple.' So I tried another resume service the site reccomend. This was worse… it was the most basic cookie cutter resume which gutted my resume and wouldn't have gotten me a job at McDonalds.
Both times I ate the money and just reviewed the services.
Maybe I should have figured it out then, but I needed my hair cut. I had had great hair experiences in the past so figured I'd try Groupon again. I got back from the salon about two hours ago in tears. My hairs is choppy, cut so short in places it sticks out like a poker and is an absalote mess. I don't even have enough hair left that I could beg another salon to fix it.
I figured I'd reach out to Groupon. I've only ever had to once in the past and I knew they use to have the Groupon Gaurentee. However no phone number. I get into chat with someone who clearly doesn't speak English as their first language… so no US support any longer as well… and I explain the situation. I even sent photos.
They offered me $7 in Groupon bucks.
The resumes… no one will ever see. However I have three interviews next week for very well paying jobs and I look like one of those toddlers who take scissors to their hair when mom is in the other room. It's that bad.
I'm livid. The agent said they would get back to me later.
This isn't okay. Frankly I've lost all trust for Groupon and whatever they use to be is clearly dead. They no longer back up customers if something really bad happens like what happened today. It feels like they just don't care. It's but at your own risk and screw you if it turns out badly.
I just got back into support chat and had them delete my account.
Don't use or trust Groupon
I purchased one Maita'i Catamaran TradeWind Sailing Trip for Two assuming the expiration was from one year from the purchase date. However, upon receiving an email, I was notified it was 90 days from the purchase date. Note: I have screen shot of final purchase with no indication of an expiration date anywhere. Only when I received an email was there any indication of an expiration date. I mentioned this to Groupon customer service representative and they told me I needed to read the fine print. AGAIN... the fine print did not show up until AFTER purchase and after I received a confirmation email. Why so much ambiguity? We're simply not going to be in Hawaii during this time and the voucher is essentially worthless. Further, Groupon Customer Service seemed to give me an attitude as if I didn't know what I was talking about. I have screenshot to prove. This was purchased through an advertisement. Will provide screenshot of purchase to credit card company. It is also worth noting. I cannot write a negative review on their site. Everything on their site has so called "positive" reviews. Googling other review sites speaks volumes for this company.
Purchased a service that the merchant is refusing to provide claiming the listing should not have not been listed in the first place. Groupon is refusing a refund. Too bad I cant give negative stars.
You can call customer service anymore. You must email only and wait! Really? Won't be using Groupon anymore!
Purchased two groupons which would not go through using PayPal as a payment method. Tried again using a different payment method, which correctly went through. But - someone after the fact, the Groupon website then pushed the initial order through leaving me with four of the same groupon. I did not realize the initial transaction was pushed through until after the 3-day window and Groupon refuses to refund. This was a glitch on the Groupon website that they are not taking accountability for. Beware when using their site. I would NOT recommend using Groupon.
I placed an order through Groupon, and when I received the confirmation email it said to go to "my stuff" to find a voucher to complete my purchase with the vendor. There were no vouchers, now 8 days later. You can't call, because their cs number says they are out of the office due to covid. All I can do is email or live chat. Live chat cs told me that there is a "technical issue" with my voucher and they can't access it. I asked for a refund, to which I was denied. I was then told that someone will be in touch with me within a week. This will be the last time I EVER use Groupon.
I purchased three tickets for the Hornblower City Cruise in San Diego while on vacation in July. Just as I was about to board, I saw an email from Groupon the day of the cruise stating my Paypal transaction failed and did not go through. So I checked my bank account and the payment had not been processed so I purchased an additional three tickets. When I got to the booth a City Cruise staff member told me the original ticket purchase went through and she could see where I purchased three additional tickets. I asked if she could cancel the additional ticket purchase from her end but she said I would have to cancel through Groupon but she would show in the system that the additional tickets were not used. I reached out to Groupon customer service on several occasions to have my monies refunded for the additional tickets with no success. The live chat said I can't get a refund and the email won't submit to allow me to show proof of documentation. I would not have purchased the additional tickets if it had not been for the boagus email I received and all I wanted is a refund for the additional tickets I purchased. I tried to block the payment through PayPal with not luck, the funds had been withdrawn. So I reported them to the Better Business Bureau. They want to provide Groupon bucks but I don't plan on using the app again. So buy with caution!
Very disappointed, purchased the services, then don't need it anymore, no refund, no exchange even not allowed to trade in for something else.
They recently changed the return policy without inform customers, all sales are final
Will never buy from Groupon again

Answer: Yes, Groupon is legit. You need to read the fine print before ordering live event tickets- -they will not refund your money even if it's there fault. I only buy tickets for activities that don't expire or you can use the purchase price towards a non-Groupon service the vendor offers. Hope this helps.
Answer: Yes, report it but using social media is a very effective way to get a companies attention. Spread the word, Groupon does not honor returns!
Answer: I usually call the merchants I am interested in before buying the coupons, and ask them if the groupon coupons work, and how much more I have to pay. You could do the same, contact the merchants you are interested in and ask them how groupon works for them?
Answer: Groupon usually sends a tracking # via email If not do as the other people suggested, check My Groupons
Answer: I wish I could say why, but a solution might be to contact Call Curtis, or your local News station that helps with consumer issues. They always seem to get fast resolutions, because companies hate BAD TV PUBLICITY.
Answer: I personally do not trust groupon. The question previous to yours printed on this site should answer your question as to its reliaiblity
Answer: The one I took by Holly and Hugo at least were I would research the company before buying. Also about twice a year they put all their courses for $5! I got mine completed it and it helped boost my resume and I was able to get a vet assistant job pretty quickly compared to before where I only got a call back from about one place which didn't lead anywhere. :) hope I could help!
Answer: Well, it's not Ideeli anymore... it's been Ideel for about a year now I think. Yes, there is a customer support phone number. I've had nothing but good experiences from Ideel in all regards - product satisfaction, price, shipping, etc. - but I've never had to contact customer service so I don't know what you'll get, but they're phone number is (888) 835-1719.
Answer: They are the absolute worst about answering customer service complaints. They will lie, they literally told me customer service reps were out sick, thus no answer to my emails for about 2 weeks. But, don't loose hope, the DAY I posted a review on this site, they answered AND gave me a 25.00 credit for my trouble. So write a review on Site Jabber with all the details and a bet a manager will answer promptly. As this is their way, I NEVER ordered from the site again after at least 3 years of orders. Good Luck and don't leave a sordid detail out of your complaint.
