As a small business owner, Groupon definitely takes advantage of their reach. I highly advise against part entering with them because the support is horrible and 50% of your earnings before all of their "promos" is absolutely ridiculous. I literally ended up loosing money by allowing customers to book via Groupon.
If you are business owner please stay away from this company unless you want to cheap out your business and work for free. I wish i had never signed up for this sorry excuse for a business. It is a scam plain and simply. They also hold on to your payment and take out an extra 20% off so basically cheapen your business.

I purchased tickets. Went to use them only had codes for two of the three didn't get to go to the event. And glcant get anywhere to get a refund
I ordered a bowling package and I could not find any fine print on the purchase I was looking to see what the limitations were and nothing showed so I purchased it, after I purchased and it popped up that it's not valid until 24 hours after purchase and I can't get a refund I've tried calling they send you to the app I've gone in the chat and nobody responds this is terrible I will never buy from Groupon again
Multiple times I have spent alot of money on Groupon for a savings I can never get because of the restrictions that prevent me from getting the benefit by the restaurant, Marmalade specifically. I've wasted alot of money for nothing.
I had a girlfriend find a spa through Groupon and following her lead I bought one too. What a waste.

OMG nauseating when I heard about just how much Groupon takes from the business and how the spa doesn't feel any supported despite a 60% take on their services. The Groupon allows anyone to purchase and story's of some of the people's behavior is just sad especially when busines doesn't even make money from it. I had some booking date issues with a recent Groupon order that was through no fault of Groupon. As the error completely was due to my oversite. With this being said. Groupon still refunded me the entire cost and was super helpful and accommodating. My situation was resolved and refunded within 5 minutes. I will always look to book with Groupon moving forward.
I have heard pros and cons when it comes to small businesses using Groupon merchant. You could do it yourself and not have the headache I experienced for over a month. I was told that beauty month was coming up with the month and I should start. I had a conversation with the sales representative which assured me my campaign would be up in time for beauty week. I was very clear on precise on what I wanted. I sent in photos and all the information that was asked from me and to sign all the 3 contracts. I told the "sales" representative that when she sent me the prof that it had no photos I sent in plus pricing was wrong in services. She apologized and corrected the mistakes ( I gave a menu of my prices so I was confused on how that was possible, but slight over sight no big deal). It then the woman ( won't reveal name) once again assured me after numerous times of me telling her I had not heard from editing team this was not what we avrees too the photos and description were not correct and it looked horrible. I told her " how is this to link to my schedule and payments?" Once again oh that's the editing team... I'll try them again... NOTHiNG ITs a sham no wonder why so many professionals told me not to do it and if I were to do it myself... Actually I did do everything metaled and they still dropped the ball. I have receipts and records of conversations requesting to speak to a manager so I will I time to let them be in breech of contract. I have been professional and understanding but I urge you not to use them!
We purchased hot air balloon rides in Vegas for a friends birthday. The vendor kept putting us off and rescheduling rides three times, unfortunately past the expiration date of the groupon. I texted groupon multimple times asking for a refund with proof of the texts sent by the vendor. Groupon does not honor cash refunds only "groupon bucks" since the groupon was past expiration. HOw this happened due to the vendor promising rides and canceling the night before three consecutive times. With numerous texts, as groupn does not allow voice conversations we were told repeatedly our case had been closed and no cash refund would be allotted. At over $700. It is a big price for no benefit.
I would encourage you not to work with groupon rather call the vendor and hopefully get a better deal from them directly. Groupon has come across as a very poor system of customer care and they have lost my business. I have not been please wiht their vendors in the past but kept having hope that a groupn vendor would be promising. This event has proven to me that groupon will not be in my future due to poor customer service and for working with poor quality vendors.
Call centers are mostly from India deciding on a situation they don't understand when I complain at the wrong boarding location of the boat tour. In Chicago.
Shipping takes way to long and the shipping and tax charges are to much. It's ok for things that just require a voucher but I will not order anything else that has to be mailed.
Groupon is a serious embarrassment for America. In addition to offering the worst customer service imaginable, their policy provides no refunds, no control of your own money in the account wallet, and even takes your money without your consent.
My personal experience with their services resulted in a loss of $1000. Fraud!
I wish groupon cared about their customers as much as money. It's almost like the find pleasure in stealing from customers! I will never use groupon again for as long as I live. If they just updated their refund policy and "fine print" then they would likely have a loyal customer base, but obviously the owner didn't get past 3rd grade and doesn't know a thing about business.
I can't even justify giving them a 1 star after the scams they have pulled on me. Of close to 70 purchases i have made on their site, I have only been able to redeem less than 1/2 of them because I can never reach the merchants to schedule the service. Most the merchants don't even have a human answering their phones and leaving messages never returned. So the services are not delivered yet Groupon is paid and won't even refund the money when you complain or cancel the service. Yet to add insult to injury Groupon continues to promote these services, taking peoples money, not delivering the services and won't give refunds. WHAT A SCAM!
Companies like this usually end up in a class action suit. The word is getting out with alot of people very upset with this scam, their rating is dropping like a rock and their time is limited so think twice before you purchase from them.
Went on groupon to purchase a visit for my family and i then groupon charged me 3 separate times for the same exact purchase then told me they could not refund because of AMF Lanes policy so I decided to go out with the family anyway when I arrived to AMF and spoke with some man at the front counter and explained what happened he was very short with his answers and a little rude and sed I could not use what I just purchased and it had nothing to do with AMF Lanes it was groupon so back and forth with the blame game they played the game all night and I was livied once I calmed down I decided to just pay for us to play $66.00 for 5 of us for 1 game that would probably last 30 or 45 min SMFH highway $#*!ing robbery not to mention I'm a local and been in the area for 17 years I'm so fed up of companies over pricing because of the pandemic i will definitely be talking to alot of my friends that bowl and to the community in the area about finding another place to spend are money there will be more post like this one zero stars -5 stars
I have had bad luck with clothing and services. The dress I received had a hole in it, and the shirt I got was literally sewn together wrong. How does that get through quality check? As far as the services, oftentimes it is impossible to reach anyone to make an appointment. Other times you get an attitude, like, oh, you are cheap because you are using Groupon. My pedicure lady showed up 25 minutes late. Now, I can't even write a review. I have reached out to customer service to find out why, but no response. Ugh! I'm done. Good deals are only good when you actually get them.

Groupon changes the prices once you login to an account. Plus if you have the selects membership then the remove the previously discounted prices. Additionally if you are unable to redeem a purchase they make in nearly impossible to get a refund and the Customer service is poor.
Answer: Yes, Groupon is legit. You need to read the fine print before ordering live event tickets- -they will not refund your money even if it's there fault. I only buy tickets for activities that don't expire or you can use the purchase price towards a non-Groupon service the vendor offers. Hope this helps.

They will lie, they literally told me customer service reps were out sick, thus no answer to my emails for about 2 weeks. So write a review on Site Jabber with all the details and a bet a manager will answer promptly. As this is their way, I NEVER ordered from the site again after at least 3 years of orders.
