For exactly 120 for a couples massage was not reflected on my account. I contacted groupon and gave them the order number in question as well as screenshots of my confirmation email. Instead of inquiring on the issue they refunded a second groupon voucher I bought for a movie ticket in the amount of 26.45 when I paid 29.45 and skipped out on paying my 3 additional dollars. When I contacted them a third time, my email was blocked. I would have been fine calling and explain this issue but there is no customer service number. Beware of the bs. Groupon is sketchy.

We were so excited my husband was given this as a birthday gift…. The extra expenses have been ridiculous… extra $100 each to fly out from Brisbane… extra costs to sit together on flight… car hire for 3 days cause a very basic motel is not near city, beach, etc…. We were not honoured any of our three Friday and Saturday night options… had to fly out on a Thursday… taking away our income (haven't even gone and down $1060)… gosh I hope our bottom of the peeking order destination is worth it!

Hi there, wish there was a way to where we couldn't give a star. They don't deserve one. I recently had a horrible experience with Groupon. I lost 120 on concert tickets. There was no ticket purchase with the venue and when I tried contacting Groupon I couldn't. Their customer service number goes to a America's hottest talk line and their email comes back as no longer available. When I finally got in contact with someone, I was given the run around and was told there was nothing they could do.

I've been trying to get a voucher reestablished or Groupon Bucks for almost 6 weeks now. They have lied to me, not even checked my previous emails sent & are just an excruciating pain to deal with. They also don't automatically place the amount paid for an expired Groupon in Groupon Bucks anymore.

This website used to be far better. They have become so worse. Their website is mostly unresponsive, app doesn't work well, orders placed get cancelled automatically and on top of it, there is no customer support. Those who connect via chat try to close the conversations asap unresolved. Not sure why they are in such hurry.

No excuse for such a large company to have such terrible customer service. They are rigid and inflexible, basically saying 'to bad for you' and disconnecting me. This was a very small purchase, but it is the principle. Glad I did not make a larger purchase, lesson learned - stay away from this predatory company.

They answer real quick for sales. But not for refunds or issues. They have so many fine prints its almost impossible to catch some bs sometimes. Or its tricky and you can misunderstand a lot of it. Point blank they played me and now are giving me the run around. Never again

I'd give 0 to Groupon. I bought universal tickets in LA and spent $470 but the entrance I found out I had to buy some 3 day pass which would come to some $800+. Anyway I wanted to get the money refunded and if not refunded they could have given it as a credit for future use. When I called Groupon about either refunding or giving credits they just deleted my Groupon account with out my permission!
Who does this? Who deletes customer account b'cos they are asking for refunds!

I got 2 Groupon virtual gift cards for my birthday and they won't register on Groupon even though I received the gidt cards via email from Groupon and they are basically like oh well. They are a scam and my friend who sent this to me is out $50

Avoid Groupon like the plague

I am so tired of seeing a great deal and clicking on it only to find out it's 3 times the cost.
Trying to book with great lodge and Great lodge does this as well as Groupon. So we went elsewhere with a site that stayed true to their advertising. Plus easier to book. Not impressed with Groupon

The customer service is accessible by only emailing. They let you know they will contact you within "4" Days, after sending them a "contact email". If there is an issue with your credit card, such as an expired or frozen card and the sale declines, they inform you to update the credit card and they will rebill your card within 24 hours. This is not accurate. Groupon does not rebill. By the time customer service emails you back, the deal is over. They never apologize and skirt questions to shuffle you off. In my case I had to email twice and get a 2nd customer service rep that finally understood what I was talking about. My failed Groupon prevents me from repurchasing. After the 2nd customer service rep addressed my issue. She did attempt at fixing it. I can try to repurchase when the Groupon drops back down in price. Hopefully it will work. The Groupon I wanted to purchase was over $700. GROUPON! Your customers wants a customer serve phone number or chat available. I love Groupon but I am "often" let down by Groupon. I realize that I caused my own error by having a frozen credit card on file. That's on me. However Groupon did a poor job by not backing up their rebill policy. I wonder how much $ Groupon is losing just on the rebill issue. Please do better Groupon!

I purchased 4 Groupons for bowling at Strike 10 in Deer Park, NY and when I got there 1.5 hours later I was told I couldn't use them that weekend. I contacted Groupon and requested a refund and they gave me a ton of BS and very nice language told me to screw myself. I went and read reviews of this bowling alley and of course horrible reviews and match my experience. Groupon should be vetting these lousy merchants better and when there is a problem like this they should be actually handling it instead of patronizing me throughout the entire conversation. Terrible customer service, stay away from using Groupon, the aggravation is not worth the discount.

I purchased Apple AirPods. The item description says they are noise cancelling. They are not. I immediately requested to return them for a refund. For over a week all I get is a runaround from Groupon and the seller (6AVE). I will never buy anything from these crooks again!

I purchased an air duct cleaning from Elliott's Air Care. According to the site, they service are within 110 miles Newark, DE. I'm located less than 90 miles from there. When I called to make an appointment, I was told that my area is not serviced. It's virtually impossible to get a refund on your credit card. Now I'm stuck with useless Groupon bucks.

Scam, scam, scam. Purchased Groupon and found out after that I would be signed up for a monthly withdrawal of approximately 450.00
Contacted both companies to resolve issue and them told I did not contact Groupon in time.

Don't do it or you will have expense lesson to learn.

I never got to use my Groupon. The merchant's site denied my Groupon and a Groupon representative was able to replicate the error. I went to visit the merchant's shop in person, and they said they could not help me. The merchant told me to contact Groupon for a refund. Groupon had to conduct an investigation. I explained I would no longer be in the same city and would like a refund. Even still, I received a reply to go to try the Groupon again. I cannot try the Groupon again. Because I'm no longer in the same city. I've requested a refund multiple times. Groupon is ignoring my email. And the support option on the site has been dysfunctional for weeks. This is unreal. What a scam.

I'm so tired of this site. They denied me a refund over a year ago for a service I stupidly used to pay hundreds for on their site. Instead, they issued me a credit I have been struggling to use for YEARS. I will ensure I'm done within the next month and close my account for good. What a headache.

I bought supposedly discounted tickets in Chicago just to find out that their prices to go to the museums and other attractions were cheaper if you did it online. I think is a scam that they are not able to apply the prices or give you a discount based on the prices online. They are making money because just like me you think you are getting great deals when in reality you are not. So my advice is don't trust them unless is a restaurant where you buy $50 and you get $75 worth of food.

I ordered a few items and only once I added payment information did I see shipping costs. I wasn't going to pay more for shipping than the items themselves so I tried to cancel my order but I got a "this page is undergoing maintenance" error, which, conveniently only went away after the items were shipped. I contacted customer service 3 times and was told that they couldn't help me but they had escalated my complaint and I would receive a response within 24 hours. Three days later, I have finally received a response, but have been told that nothing can be done because all of the items have already shipped. I wish I had looked here to see that others are having issues too. Won't order again!

Tip for consumers:
Groupon's cancellation page was "undergoing maintenance" until the items were shipped, now I can't return them or will have to pay for return postage.

I still haven't received my items. I have tried cancelling because the shipping cost is more than the items but customer service and the vendor didn't respond to my request until after the items were shipped.

Don't use Groupon!
They eat our money for no reason!
During the Thanksgiving holidays, I went to Groupon and got movie tickets to Regal Cinemas in November. The code could not scanned at the theater, so I informed Groupon customer service that evening. A couple of weeks later, they replied and asked me to provide a copy of the tickets. I provided my bank record. Since then, they have never given me any reply so far!

My credit card was charged while I live in Virginia and the charge was from North Carolina to a company I'm not aware of. Someone had to have stolen my credit card information to make this purchase. Groupon was very insensitive about refunding my money. You only email and there's no person that you can speak to which I believe is very unprofessional. This is very frustrating because I know my information was taking without my permission but they fail to refund me stating that my time to be refunded has expired. The purchase was done February the 9th 2024 and today is February 13th 2024. It doesn't make sense. Will never purchase from them again.

I went online and got Groupon Sam's Club Membership. Then I saw the automatic renewal every year and decided to cancel within 10 minutes. There was no customer service to help and the phone number that I got from my Capital One card was no good. I got no answer and recording said it was a restricted number. Plus there is no address or manager for Groupon. Is everybody foreign? So my Capital One let me dispute charge and remove charge. THEN, 2 months later Groupon put the charge back on my account and Capital One refuses to help. Since it is a renewable charge, they can take out of my card every year. I don't even have a Groupon Sams card, since I said I didn't want it. So, I am out of $60, and God knows how much more trouble I'm going to have to deal with. I wish I had researched Groupon before now. It looks like a bunch of bad reviews.
