For exactly 120 for a couples massage was not reflected on my account. I contacted groupon and gave them the order number in question as well as screenshots of my confirmation email. Instead of inquiring on the issue they refunded a second groupon voucher I bought for a movie ticket in the amount of 26.45 when I paid 29.45 and skipped out on paying my 3 additional dollars. When I contacted them a third time, my email was blocked. I would have been fine calling and explain this issue but there is no customer service number. Beware of the bs. Groupon is sketchy.
We were so excited my husband was given this as a birthday gift…. The extra expenses have been ridiculous… extra $100 each to fly out from Brisbane… extra costs to sit together on flight… car hire for 3 days cause a very basic motel is not near city, beach, etc…. We were not honoured any of our three Friday and Saturday night options… had to fly out on a Thursday… taking away our income (haven't even gone and down $1060)… gosh I hope our bottom of the peeking order destination is worth it!
Customer support is the worst I have ever dealt with. They dont call back and no way to contact them. That is very suspicious. I think they are going out of business. Live chat is a rip off. They are from overseas. How do they know whats going on and what their inventory is like. Terrible site.
When it started, Groupon had a great customer service. You could reach them instantly by phone, by chat, or by email. Now, they have none. You try to contact them and you send a message with no address, no confirmation of receipt, no answer…..
I ordered two items from Ideeli.com which were supposedly shipped on 02/21. I checked the UPS tracking number and UPS has no record of the item being shipped. After emailing ideeli (there's no phone number) I was sent a canned response which was equivalent to no response at all. Basically, I was told to check the shipping policy, wait ten days more, and then put in a claim with ideeli. Then the items would be shipped. This just doesn't make any sense. They have my money, and I have no hope of getting the items any time soon. This site has good stuff and good prices, but their shipping procedures and customer service has a lot to be desired. I have made several purchases from the site in the last six months and this is the third such problem with shipping. I have never encountered anything like it on other websites (ebay, overstock, ect.). Three strikes and they are out. Apparently they do not care whether I remain a customer or not.
The refund and cancellation for services no clearly mentioned. Groupon refuse to issue / process refund,
Purchase is good through 90 days and refund can be done within 24 hours of purchase - inbred color Groupon must list exception and refund and returns. Sales Marketing Falsification

I purchase a pair of boots from Groupon, great deal, Groupon said over 700 pairs available. About a week after the purchase Groupon says oops sorry, we overestimated available inventory and no boots for you, ma'am. Took 10 days to process my refund but you'd better believe they had my money the day I placed the order. They had my money for three weeks knowing the order could not be filled. SHADY. Never again.
Don't buy from here unless you don't mind being charged for something only to never receive it. I love the $10 shipping charge - what exactly does that pay for if they never ship it?
I ordered something from ideeli, then three weeks later ordered a few things from Gilt.com. Both the Gilt.com things are here and wonderful. The ideeli stuff is nowhere to be found.
Also, I almost bought a pair of jeans off ideeli yesterday then found the exact same thing on overstock.com only CHEAPER and $1 shipping. LAME.
Never use them! Take your money for a hotel that's fully booked and now I've got nothing too show for 315 pound refusing to give a refund or even help us even after the hotel has emailed them saying they cannot book us in
Purchased a massage deal for my mom as nice Mothers Day gift. The deal was with Massage Advantage, but every time she called they said they were fully booked. The Fine Print said "by appointment only". Groupon refused to refund me for that reason.
I tried to cancel my reservations through groupon before they made the actual reservations but to my surprise there is no human help for frustrated customers! I finally spoke to a lady on the live chat and she reassured me I would get my refund instantaneously after cancelling and I still haven't received my money or the email confirming my cancellation. I will say that this was my first time using groupon and it will also be my last! They don't make it very easy to get the money back!
If you are thinking about buying a so called Groupon deal don't! Instead contact the business directly and they will more than likely sell you the deal directly. You will also get better service this way... no lame middle man. Just some free advice...
I purchased an offer through Groupon for 1-800 Basket. The offer was $20 for $40 in goods. In trying to use the offer, Both items I selected had no delivery charge. However when I went to the payment page, one of the items suddenly had $14.99 in delivery/shipping charges. This is an unfair business practice. Any benefit they might have received from my purchase is gone because I won't use them or you again.
I ordered 2 separate times from Ideel and received my first item without problems. My second item was a Sue Wong dress on 7/3/15 that was to be delivered at last date on 7/15 at which time it is still pending shipment. I emailed and got excuse that it was not their fault but I give them credit that they did respond quickly in customer service. Later on 7/14 I check my on line banking and find that on 7/12 and 7/14 they charged me double for this item. I emailed them again and received email that they had received my complaint. The 24 hr response is almost over and they have not responded or taken one of the charges off. Is this some type of scam and how can I get this taken off if they refuse? Has anyone else been double charged for items? Be careful when you order items from this company!
Horrific customer service, no empathy, total scam and will never purchase anything from them again.
There 14 day refund policy is a complete scam because if you were to even call in 1 day after purchasing they purposely book you in after the 14 days to not give you a refund.
Its website says: 'If your experience using your Groupon ever lets you down, well return the purchase price of your Groupon, either as cash or as a Groupon UK credit. Simple as that.'... Complete LIE!
I have found some really great deals on Groupon. My favorite ones have been those to try new restaurants in the area that offer a 2 for 1 deal. My problem is that I will by the deal and then for some reason not be able to use it right away. The old adage "out of sight, out of mind" definitely applies to me. The good thing about Groupon is that even if I miss the expiration date of the deal, the money I spent buying the deal is still usable at that restaurant. If anything, I wish Groupon would send more reminders of when you are getting close to expiration dates.
Purchased some tickets to take my family to a jumping house. I read all the fine print in groupon and the vendors website as well as calling the vendor to make sure both my daughters could jump since they are young. Because is groupon I only have so many days to use my offer. The day I decide to take my girls, the place charged me $80 because the groupon ticket did not included jumping for toddlers. Nowhere in neither website this is mentioned nor when I called them and told them my daughters ages. I tried to get a refund from groupon since in the end I ended up paying almost $200 when without groupon it would had been $50. Groupon was no help at all and refused to give me a refund. They suck!
Groupon pretty much sucks. Their deals are not great and often have large strings attached, example, one deal was for a restaurant and only lasts 3 months, pretty restrictive if you only visit the town occasionally, and another required you do dine-in instead of take-out, yet another did not have nearly enough supply of the dufflebags being sold to meet the demand - is this overstock.com crap? My largest gripe is that when I wanted a refund after finding that the restaurant coupon was dine-in only, I only had 7 days to ask for refund, and after searching the site I found no way to do it automatically (apparently there is a way to do it yourself but the site is so confusing) I eventually emailed Groupon and did not hear back for about 7 days. They gave me a groupon credit instead of a credit card refund which is BS. So now I am stuck trying to find a decent groupon to spend the money, after I find it I am never coming back to this awful site. Stockholders sell.
I purchased tickets to a local event, but I had a family emergency and could no longer attend. I tried gifting the passes to several people who were not interested. I finally wrote in asking for a credit. First they flat out denied me, but I asked them to reconsider given the circumstance I'm facing and they politely obliged to return my monies in the form of a groupon credit which is what I wanted anyway.
Groupon clearly doesn't vet the companies that they feature deals for. And when lousy companies have deals that invariably go poorly, Groupon doesn't provide resolution past insultingly minor refunds in the form of credits. It seems that Groupon now exclusively works with companies that don't provide good services or products with no intention to preserve the integrity of their tool. I will absolutely never use them again.
Tip for consumers:
Don't use this site at all, just use Google and read reviews.

HORRIBLE company... stay away. My product never arrived and no one would give me a straight answer as to when I would receive my product. I had to email and call multiple times with no luck getting a response. The worse part of it all was they were so rude to me on the phone. I will NEVER shop there again... living social is ten times better
I've now figured out most local service providers would prefer you call them and purchase directly from them instead just using the convenience of groupon. Because groupon charges them such large fees. It makes the whole process longer and inconvenient.
I ordered sheets from groupon back in November. I still have not received them and they will refuse to contact me back. I have sent countless emails and called several times. The most annoying part is the tracking says it has been delivered. I just want my money back and a response from customer service letting me know something. I feel robbed and I don't appreciate that.
Ordered some dresses, they were too small. Sent back, was issued a credit to my account. I knew I would probably not order anything else since their clothes run so small. I emailed them, they said they don't do refunds, only credit to the account. 2 years later, my credit in my account "magically" disappeared. Contacted them regarding this, and was told since another company bought them out I was out of luck. Tried to dispute on my credit card side, but unfortunately since I had closed that credit card account, they could not do anything about it. So I'm out $69. Not a lot, but not exactly small change. STAY AWAY...
I`m saying this applicable for all the sites of such type. These coupons helped many times however there are many cases when the businesses did not know about the coupons and you get a waste of money. Still situationally good.
I spend way too much time (and probably money) on this site. They have great deals on discounts at restaurants and on products. This is one of my go to sites when I need something different for someone. Love it!
There is no customer service like literally it does not exist. I got the wrong size of product and tried to send them back. No response from groupon or the merchant. They no longer care about the customer. Very disappointed.
Groupon is the largest "daily deal" site, selling vouchers for discounted local experiences and services such as restaurants and spas, as well as travel packages, shopping, and a number of other items. Vouchers are purchased upfront and typically must be redeemed by a certain date, after which time Groupons expire. To businesses Groupon markets itself as a way to drive new customers. Groupon is a public company (NASDAQ: GRPN) and is based in Chicago, IL.
Hi Alli: I apologize for any confusion. Please let us know the order number so we can look into this immediately. You can reach us at support@ideeli.com, or orders@ideeli.com right away. Thank you so much for getting in touch with us, and being an ideeli member.
