I purchased 3 concert tickets in February, for a concert in September. I paid In full, with a Credit Card.
Groupon Cancelled the event on May 26. I DID NOT CANCEL THIS!
GROUPON DID!
They would NOT refund my money, only issuing "Groupon Credits" to only be used ONLY on Groupon!
Groupon has proven to be VERY unreliable. I never know what, or IF I will receive what I think I am ordering. For this reason, I NO LONGER want to do ANY business with Groupon.
I want my money refunded to my credit card, so I can use it to do business with a reputable company instead of Groupon.
I ordered concert tickets through Groupon back in January. It was announced on Friday that the concert was cancelled. Instead of refunding back to the card used to purchase the ticket THEY GAVE ME A GROUPON CREDIT! They will not refund to your original form of payment. STAY FAR AWAY FROM GROUPON!
I bought Concert tickets w/Groupon's extraordinary event policy that says if an event is canceled you automatically get a refund, or if rescheduled you can request a refund. BUT it turns out YOU CAN ONLY GET A GROUPON CREDIT. They will not refund to your original form of payment. Policy says nothing about Groupon Bucks, even customer service acknowledged it. The concerts were canceled due to COVID-19, so it's even more unacceptable, beyond the already misleading policy. Horrible customer service.
Read everything. Make sure you are buying the item directly through groupon. You will be disappointed if you buy a "groupon voucher". The point of the voucher is to get you to the store. When you attempt to use the voucher you will get hit with hidden charges. I bought 3 vouchers and got burned all 3 times. Read the reviews. Don't buy vouchers.
There were several instances that I received trash from this site and was left to jump through hoops for a refund, which 90 percent of the time I never got. They have no customer support even though they keep 50 percent of the asking price. Some one who provided services to me through Groupon said they only receive 50 percent of the asking price and because of this businesses will not treat you equally as other customers. Groupon if for business who are struggling because of bad customer service, or because they want to sell you the trash that no one wanted because of defects or lack in quality. This site is a money pit. Do not take your chances on spending 1 cent on this garbage site. I read the reviews and I ignored them, do not make the same mistake as I did.
Looked like a great deal - ordered (24) solar lites - Arrived on time and each lite after being charged worked great.
Packaged well - no problems at all.
Purchased a HP Laptop, despite the reviews, which were poor. Item was defective, I contacted them to ask how to return for a refund. This was a very difficult process, had to argue to receive a return label. Once they received the return, they stated that refunds can only go to "Groupon Bucks", I repeatedly asked for a refund back to my credit card, to no avail. When spending this kind of money, it should be expected to receive a refund if the item was defective and returned.
PrinterPix and Printerpix USA are fraudulent companies and Groupon will not stand behind the product that they sell. I recently bought a Groupon for a 50 x 60 inch personalized Sherpa blanket. They charged me for this using the Groupon I had purchased for $18.95. Then they charged me the correct shipping for it of $25.99! What I received was a hand towel sized thin piece of material with skewed images on it. It was 20 x 30 inches. Complete garbage. I attempted to call customer support 3 times only to be hung up on 5 minutes into each call, never reaching a customer service agent. I tried instant chat. That did not work, so I sent them an email 2 weeks ago, and still have not had a reply.
I then contacted Groupon to see if they could help me, only to be told it is the "merchant's sole responsibility to fulfill the order." The problem I have with Groupon is that they don't stand behind their products they sell and they are STILL selling the same Groupon after finding out that Printer pix is a scam company with a BBB rating of a D and so many complaints that they will not recommend them.
Groupon did finally give me a $7.00 credit, but the Groupon I supposedly used was $18.99. I had purchased 2 different Groupons from them and traded my second one in at a fraction of what I paid for it. Beware of Groupon deals and the websites like Printerpix and Printerpix USA that they offer Groupons for. It's a scam company who will not send you what you ordered or try to rectify the situation.
When Groupon deals go through as expected, it's great. Saving money is always awesome, while supporting local businesses. But when there is an issue, dealing with Groupon customer support is the absolute worse, and I'd rather gouge my eyes out with a dull plastic fork than deal with the "Customer Support" team. Had a concert cancelled and it's within their own terms of service that the purchaser *me* will be refunded if the event is cancelled by the merchant, and now they want to issue me $70 in GROUPONBUCKS and not refund it to my original method of payment; which is NOT what's outlined within their own terms of use and their Extraordinary Event Policy*. I am BEYOND infuriated with Groupon, and feel bad for the thousands of others who are going to have to deal with this same situation because of a cancelled event. No I don't want nor need $70 in GROUPON bucks. If it was $20 or something I'd deal with it, but $70 worth of GROUPON money is ridiculous and unacceptable. I'm not asking for a refund because I can't go to this show, this show was CANCELLED due to COVID19. How about you stop trying to scam people and follow your OWN TERMS of service/use and refund people accordingly. I can't wait to see some class action lawsuits against Groupon, because you deserve it for trying to scam and rip people off!
I order two high chairs off this site. Once I got my confirmation email there was no expected delivery date. So I wait and check for a fews days just to realize that my order wasnt even processed after 5 days. I couldnt reach no customer service and they refused to give me my money back in the supposed "self service" tool. The deals really arent that great to wait a whole month to recieve your products.
I bought something from Groupon Marketplace on 4/25/20. As of today it has not shipped, so I tried to cancel the order. I have emailed the vendor through Groupon's website ten times. The vendor condescendingly answers "don't worry about it." Groupon customer service says it's up to the vendor. This is a $20 order. Why would Groupon want to lose a customer over $20? I cannot answer that. The customer service is AWFUL!
Looks like a deal and if it works it's a discount... if it doesn't get getting restitution from Groupon WONT HAPPEN!
There is no direct communication. Customer service is chat or emails. Answers are more. Pre written. They do not give refunds on credit card paid but offer Groupon bucks! They took double the amount from my debit card (charged twice) and won't refund the money.
It's a nightmare. I wound up purchasing the item regular price. I paid extra but worth less aggrevation. This business should be put out if business. Also When. U do get a voucher code and they to use it... only valid with certain terms which does not make the deal a deal.
Despite websites stating clearly that events have been canceled due to Covid-19 and that refunds will be issued from the point of sale, the customer service refused. The Extraordinary Event Policy means nothing, the buyer takes all the risk for scams or problems. The customer service is crap, this company is scummy. 0/10 DO NOT RECOMMEND.
I reached out to them to request a refund for an over $200 purchase that I have been unable to use since November. I attempted to redeem my purchase 5 times each time the merchant cancelled on me. Now due to COVID 19 with everything shut down I cannot use it indefinitely and I waited before requesting a refund to have to avoid even making the request. Now. They will not refund me because you only have 3 days to cancel. So instead of getting nearly $300 back to my account for this time they have given me a credit that at this point is useless since nothing is open. I will never purchase through Groupon again. You're better going directly to the merchant. At least there you have a chance of getting your money back when you don't actually receive the service you paid for.
Most of the sellers send a different item than what you ordered. Happened several times to me. Groupon will only refund a small portion of what you paid in the form of Groupon bucks meaning you then need to buy something else. I'm convinced that most of the positive reviews for clothing items from China are fake. Read all reviews. Groupon does not remove unethical sellers. I have also had problems redeeming Groupons for services and not been able to get my money back. The restaurant Groupons and attraction Groupons work well if it's somewhere you would go anyway. Otherwise do not buy! You are likely to be ripped off!
Liars and thieves. My package never reached the carrier, but Groupon said it was in transit. Then they show on the site they refunded my money. I checked with my bank and there was no refund. They will not offer a cash refund even though that was their policy. So now I'm out $228 with no product or even store credit to show for it.
I purchased a Sam's Membership and they never followed through on their promise of $35.00 eGifts and a free gift. After chatting 6 times with their customer service who could not understand or didn't want to help me, I gave up. I had to repeat things over and over, I was consistently asked the same question after I had just responded with the information they were requesting. Unable to speak to anyone over the phone and unable to resolve my issue. Extremely frustrated, at a loss for the words to express my displeasure with GROUPON. They are not worth my time or aggravation! Will never purchase again from them.
The rep did her job but it was very difficult to even get to speak with someone in the first place. Trying to find contact information for Groupon should be a lot easier. I do not feel I should have had to call in to get the status of a refund for an event that was canceled and not rescheduled. If I hadn't been able to find contact information, my canceled event would have been ignored totally. And then when I was told they could only refund with Groupon Bucks is unacceptable. I paid cash for the tickets and would expect to get a cash refund. I used to think Groupon was an upstanding company helping small business, but now I feel like they are only out to make money and scam people. I feel Groupon should be more understanding and helpful in this unprecedent time. Most companies are standing up and going above and beyond for customer satisfaction, Groupon is not one of those companies. I guess I'll be using Living Social more for my purchases going forward.
Essentially they stole $290 from me. I was waiting weeks for them to send an item. I got an email confirmation of my order and that was it. Two weeks go by, I reach out to Groupon wanting to know the status of my order and come to find out, they didn't even have it in stock, nor did they have the decency to cancel it as they were unable to fulfill the order and I was "passed their period of canceling an item" (because I was waiting for it to ship.) they were going to issue me $290 in store credit. Gee how generous! Not. Groupon has lost my business forever and I'm letting everyone I know to avoid using Groupon unless they're okay with being ripped off.
I purchased two coloring kits through Groupon from Qualtry. The vendor informed me after six weeks of my order placement that they cannot fulfill the order because they are out of stock. The vendor graciously refunded the shipping fees and canceled my order promptly without any problem. However, Groupon will not refund my $48.95 by crediting to my visa. Instead Groupon refunded me in Groupon Bucks. I paid in real money ($) and am entitle to get my money refunded in real money. Can I take Groupon Bucks to Walmart or any other toy store to buy stuff for my kids. Groupon always gives you hard time in refunding money because they keep hold on buyers' money so that buyer will end up buying another crap from Groupon.
I have given 1 star rating because there is no lower than 1 star. In fact, my actual rating for Groupon's Cusoter Care model is negative 10 (-10 star).
This is a lesson learned for me dealing with Groupon in these days of Financial hardship due to Covid 19. While other businesses are sympathetic and understand their customer's problem, Groupon company is looking for itself by making profit while dealing with unscrupulous sellers. I will not buy again from Groupon.
Answer: Yes, Groupon is legit. You need to read the fine print before ordering live event tickets- -they will not refund your money even if it's there fault. I only buy tickets for activities that don't expire or you can use the purchase price towards a non-Groupon service the vendor offers. Hope this helps.
Answer: Yes, report it but using social media is a very effective way to get a companies attention. Spread the word, Groupon does not honor returns!
Answer: I usually call the merchants I am interested in before buying the coupons, and ask them if the groupon coupons work, and how much more I have to pay. You could do the same, contact the merchants you are interested in and ask them how groupon works for them?
Answer: Groupon usually sends a tracking # via email If not do as the other people suggested, check My Groupons
Answer: I wish I could say why, but a solution might be to contact Call Curtis, or your local News station that helps with consumer issues. They always seem to get fast resolutions, because companies hate BAD TV PUBLICITY.
Answer: I personally do not trust groupon. The question previous to yours printed on this site should answer your question as to its reliaiblity
Answer: The one I took by Holly and Hugo at least were I would research the company before buying. Also about twice a year they put all their courses for $5! I got mine completed it and it helped boost my resume and I was able to get a vet assistant job pretty quickly compared to before where I only got a call back from about one place which didn't lead anywhere. :) hope I could help!
Answer: Well, it's not Ideeli anymore... it's been Ideel for about a year now I think. Yes, there is a customer support phone number. I've had nothing but good experiences from Ideel in all regards - product satisfaction, price, shipping, etc. - but I've never had to contact customer service so I don't know what you'll get, but they're phone number is (888) 835-1719.
Answer: They are the absolute worst about answering customer service complaints. They will lie, they literally told me customer service reps were out sick, thus no answer to my emails for about 2 weeks. But, don't loose hope, the DAY I posted a review on this site, they answered AND gave me a 25.00 credit for my trouble. So write a review on Site Jabber with all the details and a bet a manager will answer promptly. As this is their way, I NEVER ordered from the site again after at least 3 years of orders. Good Luck and don't leave a sordid detail out of your complaint.
Groupon is the largest "daily deal" site, selling vouchers for discounted local experiences and services such as restaurants and spas, as well as travel packages, shopping, and a number of other items. Vouchers are purchased upfront and typically must be redeemed by a certain date, after which time Groupons expire. To businesses Groupon markets itself as a way to drive new customers. Groupon is a public company (NASDAQ: GRPN) and is based in Chicago, IL.
