For exactly 120 for a couples massage was not reflected on my account. I contacted groupon and gave them the order number in question as well as screenshots of my confirmation email. Instead of inquiring on the issue they refunded a second groupon voucher I bought for a movie ticket in the amount of 26.45 when I paid 29.45 and skipped out on paying my 3 additional dollars. When I contacted them a third time, my email was blocked. I would have been fine calling and explain this issue but there is no customer service number. Beware of the bs. Groupon is sketchy.
We were so excited my husband was given this as a birthday gift…. The extra expenses have been ridiculous… extra $100 each to fly out from Brisbane… extra costs to sit together on flight… car hire for 3 days cause a very basic motel is not near city, beach, etc…. We were not honoured any of our three Friday and Saturday night options… had to fly out on a Thursday… taking away our income (haven't even gone and down $1060)… gosh I hope our bottom of the peeking order destination is worth it!
They sold me a Groupon to a Brazilian Steak house in the Woodlands, Tx that closed down before I could use it. There customer service said. All sales are final and my loss not theirs. They are still selling that Groupon and that company does not exist. I am thinking thats a little on the illegal side.
Purchased a deal from Groupon, when we went to use it we found out that we needed to pay an additional $272 to use *******@159 voucher. When called customer service they said there was nothing they could (would) do about it and I could not get a refund or credit Trevor, the supervisor was of no help!
I TRIED ordering something, could not download promo code. Tried several times. Two other people also tried to help download. Without success. So I phoned customer service. All you get is a recording.not everyone is computer savvy. If you could actually talk to someone, it would be of great help. Got so frustrated I cancelled the order.
I bought my first groupon last week, specs for less in NYC, sounded to good to be true (49 for 205 worth of eye-ware) but i figured i will keep a open mind. The fine print was that you have to buy in their store not on their website, i checked their website and their prices were reasonable. I went to their shop in NYC and none of the eyeglasses had any prices, when i asked for the prices, the clerk asked me if i had a groupon, when i said yes, she quoted me 3 times the price they charged on their website (everyone sells it online ranging $80-$120) they wanted $300. I said don't tread on me, scam someone else, contacted groupon, had my money back next day
Groupon should really be more careful who they feature
I purchased an Oil Change voucher for the Elite Certified Auto Services Goodyear in La Habra, CA. When I tried to make an appointment with the service center, they said I had to come in at 7am to use my Groupon voucher, and that they stop taking walk ins at 10am. I said I work in the mornings and can't make it at their requested times. So I contacted Groupon to explain the ridiculously short window of service provided by Elite Goodyear La Habra, and requested a refund. They would not provide a refund even though I was unable to use the voucher. When I contacted PayPal to file a dispute, they provide an 800 that was supposedly for contacting Groupon. But when you try to call, it's actually the phone number for Medical Alert Bracelet. So Groupon provides PayPal and Capital One and various other outlets with false information, leading frustrated customers on a wild goose chase. I would rather pay full price anywhere, than have to deal with Groupon and it's lazy vendors! Will not ever use Groupon again. I suggest you all do the same, unless you like getting your money stolen by them.
Well, prior to today, I have used the site with good success. Today, in the infinite wisdom of "someone", they decided to offer AMC Theater Coupons.

See, there was only 1000 coupons available for Phoenix. A little math will tell you that 1000 coupons for a city of 5 million, doesn't go very far. Do the math. ******* divided by 5,000,000 equals I had a. 02 percent of getting one.
That of course if you were only one, but it allowed you to purchase two!
So overall, AMC and Groupon allowed a. 04 percent chance to see a movie for $4.
Beware... Sometimes it's a WAIST of time!
I like to buy designer apparel with great discount! So, I decided to try ideeli.com, I've heard about it lot from my friend. I bought 4 items there and I payed the whole amount of money. But next day the returned me some money, less than a half of the sum, as they had sent only two items, and two was in a wait list. But when they charged us, everything was in stock. We had been waiting for a month and finally the sent those two items and they charged me not that sum, which they had returned me, but the whole sum again. I wrote the support team and they promised to help me in 24 hours. It has been already 2 days nobody answers me. It"s awful!
I have used Groupon for so many things! Concert tickets. Sporting even tickets. Party deals. Toys. Groupon has saved me lots of money and I love checking out new offers! Great way to save money but still enjoy the things you love!
I ordered a dress online from Ideeli and then I read the reviews here. They really had me scared and regretting my decision! However, my order ended up shipping 5 days sooner than it was scheduled to, and it arrived very soon after. Nothing was wrong with it, and it was the correct size. They even shipped it with a hanger, but I will say I don't feel the dress was packed tightly enough (I could feel it moving around in the box). I don't doubt that all these people had really unpleasant experiences with Ideeli, but mine was actually exactly what I would expect from a site such as this. I had no problems at all.

I was ripped off by Groupon. I was in DC for one day, a Tuesday. I could not walk. I bought a trolley tour for best solution to see as much as possible. The trolley never came. I called the trolley company to find out that they only operated Fri-Sun. I checked the ad and it did not state that. After a week of useless emails I was told they could do nothing. They kept my $60 and told me too bad.
It was ok ordering from them, BUT... i placed my order with a gift card and they insisted on me giving credit card info--or i couldnt order from. That really upset me especially when my item came well under my gift card balance. I will not order from them again because of it. The bracelet i ordered came fine and in good time--I just don't like the fact they force u to give them your credit card info. I think its wrong.
We bought 2 massages and was instructed to call the owner. Very hard to reach. When we finally talked to her, I was not convinced that she would provide the massages. Scheduled us 1 month in advance with the promise to email confirmation. Never got it, nor a phone call. Still working to get my massages. (and I have additional stress to be addressed!)
I have never seen a fraud like this type of Groupon deal. You buy fidget spinner from Target 2 for $5 and Groupon get together with fraud people and they sell this coupon for $6 and you go to their website and they make you pay another $10 to engrave on it and charge you $10 for postal on each which total $20 postage. Then they will use one postage stamp and post the 2 items they already charged you $10 each. Total of ($20.00). Tell me which fraud greater than these. I contacted Groupon multiple times and they refused to act, which made me believe collaboration to defraud the public. Stay clear. When my items arrived they were not assembled. All the parts were separate.
This company has totally uninterested people in their company working for them, They had an excellent deal for I believe one day, for San Francisco coffee which I took advantage of. When I advised my don, he said it gad all changed. When, I looked at the new deal, it made no sense because the coffee was now more expensive that most places. I called once and they assured me the amount of coffee was the same. I called once again, and then they told me that it gave only 1/4 of the amount. When I spoke to a supervisor, she was totally disinterested and said why did I care since i received the good deal. She just didn't get it that I was trying to point out that maybe someone higher up had to look at it if they wanted to sell it.

If you buy a groupon - you better pray that you don't have a problem or need assistance of any kind. Groupon customer service is located in the Philippines and staffed by employees who are not empowered and not trained in any way to assist you. After 7 calls and over 3 hours of waiting on hold - my problem is still not resolved. They are either incapable or unwilling to assist in any way.
Their terms and conditions are also vague and not spelled out at all. If you buys tickets to a show - you will not be able to select your seats directly from the venue. You will be basically on standby and will receive tickets available 2 days before the show. It does not indicate this information on your groupon purchase. Groupon has changed. They are no longer a good company to work with.
This used to be a great place to shop, but not anymore. No customer service whatsoever. I ordered something back on November 1st and have yet to receive it, but have been charged for it. Tried to reach out to them thee times via email and twice via online chat. No response. Very disappointing!
Wanted to buy some stuff for the Holidays, Groupon, Great idea... not so. I had zero issues with my merchandise, however shortly thereafter, the calls started. They gave my information to timeshare company, and would call at least twice a day, And change numbers from where they call from. I am done with Groupon.

Bring Back Ideel! The post by S. K. is my sentiments exactly. Who in the world thought this would work? Groupon sells low quality goods, nothing at all like Ideel. I ordered from Ideel almost every day, I will never order from Groupon again. So disappointing!

At time you come across very unique services and products at either reasonable price or high price which seems worth because of uniqueness of product.
Negative
There is probability that you find the product shown in groupon in local market as much lesser price and you feel cheated. It happens less but happens.
This is the most crooked company I've ever had the displeasure of dealing with. They refuse to refund my money even though they were refunded by the tour operator. All they want to do is steal your money and write endless emails until you get tired. Not worth the trouble. Do anything to avoid
So disappointed in this site. First I had to ring in each transaction separate because you can't combine your total with promo code even if it from the same groupon. Only takes off one coupon. So I was planning on buying 6 seven peaks pass of all passes. Yeah had to have 6 separate transactions. Oh wait! You can only use that promo code 4 times. So went over to Value Pak and what do you know, I can use the 1 promo code for all 6 so only one transaction. And it was even cheaper! So now I come back to cancel my 4 transactions that I just did but only 3 show up. So thinking I just did 3... no it showed up a few days later but now its past the 3 days widow to cancel your transaction so "they understand but can't do anything about it" They literally told me I could give it as a gift. What the! Oh and never talked to anyone in person only on the computer! I will never be back! I'll never recommend! So bugged!
Sometimes you can get a good deal, others not so much. If you're buying local deals read the fine print, not the print that's on the screen before you buy, but the print on the voucher after you have already paid for it. If there are distance, time or day limitations you don't know until after purchase. Read it immediately. Apparently there's also limitations with Groupon for you to exchange it or get a refund (48-72 hours). After that, you'll be told to give away whatever you bought because they won't help you and God knows we all have extra money lying around to give away. I mean that's why we are using Groupon, right? SMH so if there are restrictions, like distance, that isn't you from using the voucher for the services you bought it for, you are completely out of luck. Your only option is a dispute through your CC company.
Try to contact them to switch dates, but both phone numbers are disconnected, I tried getting my money back but my credit card company said that Groupon sent them proof that I redeemed my coupon for my dinner cruise which is a lie and against the law! First time using Groupon, and will be the last! I give them zero stars!
I order from this site all the time. I am surprised by reviews about bad customer service. I had questions about an order and e-mailed customer service. The issue was resolved in less than two hours and I received a coupon for my trouble. I love the products, and the prices are awesome. I refer friends all the time and they also tell me how much they love it. I find great stuff for reasonable prices... even bought a $1000 watch for $140 bucks! Nothing to complain about here! When you place an order, we issue a temporary authorization hold on your card for the amount of your purchase. This hold is placed to verify that your card has not been reported as lost or stolen, and that the card is valid. The hold will drop off of your card within 3 to 5 business days and your card won't be charged until your order ships. Since two of the four items from your order shipped out before the hold was dropped, the two items that didn't ship were not charged to you since we cannot charge for items that shipped so the authorized amount for those two items would have been dropped from your card since the items that shipped were charged.
