For exactly 120 for a couples massage was not reflected on my account. I contacted groupon and gave them the order number in question as well as screenshots of my confirmation email. Instead of inquiring on the issue they refunded a second groupon voucher I bought for a movie ticket in the amount of 26.45 when I paid 29.45 and skipped out on paying my 3 additional dollars. When I contacted them a third time, my email was blocked. I would have been fine calling and explain this issue but there is no customer service number. Beware of the bs. Groupon is sketchy.
We were so excited my husband was given this as a birthday gift…. The extra expenses have been ridiculous… extra $100 each to fly out from Brisbane… extra costs to sit together on flight… car hire for 3 days cause a very basic motel is not near city, beach, etc…. We were not honoured any of our three Friday and Saturday night options… had to fly out on a Thursday… taking away our income (haven't even gone and down $1060)… gosh I hope our bottom of the peeking order destination is worth it!
Hit or miss. Hit means wonderful discounts at restaurants. Miss is when your Groupon expires or the company goes out of business... you call customer service to find "You are number 17" please hold and hold and hold. This is routine and I assume how they make their money no matter what they claim is the refund option.
I have to say, I've enjoyed my hits, but those misses are infuriating! 30 seconds ago I removed my credit card to prevent me from that "can't resist the deal" click. My next step is to "unsubscribe" but I'm a bargain lover going through withdrawal.
Have been a loyal customer for years, but clearly something has changed with this company, I will not buy anything from them going forward. Purchased a groupon for a gift for my daughter for Xmas, she did not want it, so I attempted to process a credit or refund. Did 3 online customer service chats and also called. Was told that they will only refund after 3 days of purchase. Really? At Christmas? Most people purchase at least a couple of weeks in advance. This place has gone to the place where companies go who do not care when you tell them you are cancelling your account, horrible customer service, just like robots...
Tried to order 5 sets of Sony wireless headphones. All were displayed as separately shipped packages with the same tracking number (assumed multi-package shipping). The following week, one package arrived. After checking Groupon, I noticed that all were listed as delivered. After several unsuccessful attempts to contact Groupon (poor online chat experiences, failed call backs), I was able to reach them via e-mail. A few e-mails later, I found out that not only did they never ship the other four headphones, they refused to complete the order. They are supposed to send a refund some time in the next two weeks.
The product that did arrive was in good condition and as described, but we were counting on having all of them.
Worst company I've ever dealt with in my life. Even companies don't want to deal with them. They treat neither the customers nor their companies well. They take your money easily enough but try getting it back when a deal can't be redeemed is an impossibility. Looks like most of their responses are automated because they're irrelevant to your question. You have no choice but to take Groupon bucks which makes you use them again
I found the Groupon site user friendly, Bought a smart watch from groupon arrived on time all is good except that it didn't work, Also really like the concert venue offerings as we enjoy seeing live music. Come across some really amazing deals as the costs to go to these events keep going up.
I've purchased many things over the years with overall satisfaction until recent. The last Year has been filled with false ads, fake product, awful to no customer service, horrible, unscrupulous merchants, etc... Buyers beware & Proceed with Caution!
Yes the items hip a little slow, and no they don't stock anything themselves, based on your order they have it shipped form the actual manufacturer / designer. For that reason I can understand that every once in awhile an item I purchased might actually have run out and they need to cancel it ( they should send you a notice though when that happens its ridiculous not to)... in regards to customer service they answered my request to return an item within a few hours and even made an exception to take back something which was non-returnable due to the fact it was defective... I got my prepaid UPS return sticker by email the same day
So far the items i ordered were all exactly as pictured / advertised and I don't think they are dishonest at all... you just need to have proper expectations. This is like a clearance our outlet site. Not an actual store at the mall
Here is the problem I have with Ideeli...
*First you pay a monthly membership fee.
*Then you are given only 15 minutes to make up your mind if you want to buy an item.
*But most all you pay $9.95 for shipping and anything I have ever order from this web site takes 10 days before if reaches your door step.
It's a rip off folks. Don't be fooled!

What's really going on here? Don't understand...
I'm shocked to see so many negative reviews here. I have placed at least 20 orders from ideeli so far. Yes, sometimes the item was shipped longer than I expected, sometimes the item arrived not perfectly, however their reps were very very helpful. Every time when I contacted them, they were patient and was willing to help.
Well, from my own experiences, if you have a really urgent problem with your order, always try to contact their online reps, they are the most effective ones.
Anyways, I vote for ideeli, rather than gilt, rue la la, hautelook...

I've had amazing discounts on restaurants, facials, and massages. Groupon has also encouraged me to try restaurants that I would not have otherwise tried and at a discounted price.
Pro: great discounts!
Con: must read the fine print.
I have spent thousands of dollars on Ideeli over the years. It was my to-go-to place for a bad day at work. I would be glues to my desk at 11:00 AM, I mean don't call me. Recently I have noticed that the quality of there clothes have deteriorated. They have some good sales every once in awhile but it's mostly terrible. Where are they getting these ugly clothes from? Did they change their buyer? It has gotten so bad, I've gone from checking everyday to deleting the App from my phone. If I want ugly clothes I will go to Sears... On the other hand I have never had a terrible experience with shipping. It's always right on time. If you could just get good stuff, maybe I will be back...

Groupon is good for buying vouchers to local restaurants, services etc. But if you are going to buy a product from them, it's best to use eBay or Amazon, because most of these products come from China anyways.
No customer support useless crappy products, false advertising and refunds denied. I order a pair of leggings from Angelina's soft leggings... was sent 2... more like panty hose, luckily it had a built in skirt! Also spent 28 & on a phone tripod that is just the stand no cradle or anything else as advertised... no returns or refunds and it's useless. They have the same item on Amazon for 15 $ w the actual accessories.
Tip for consumers:
Don’t go to Amazon or Ebay or any other business.

Some items excellent, some terrible. We bought a garden table which broke the first day we had it. Very difficult and costly to return, could have sent photos of the (now, useless) table, but Groupon not really interested, so no refund. I keep telling them we are nowhere near the city they keep sending me vouchers for (restaurants etc), and what our nearest city actually IS, but despite promising to look into it, they haven't.Don't think I'll be using Groupon again.
I agree totally with the posted reviews. Something horrible has happened to this company. STAY AWAY! My first clue was a couple of months ago. 20% was promoted, but somehow I was charged full price. I reached someone in a third world country who refused any help. When the item arrived, it was the wrong color, and back it went. They did issue a complimentary shipping label. When the item was reduced a few weeks later, against my own intuition, I ordered it again. ALAS! They sent the wrong thing again. Again they issued a complimentary label, but charged an $8.95 return fee. Now, of course, live chat no longer exists, and it has been over a week since I emailed them. I will contact my credit card company. I urge everyone to dispute bogus charges by these crooks, no matter how large or small.
Groupon used to be good,now,when you buy anything at all,you cannot get anyone to help. They are from another country & do not understand anything at all. I want my $$$ back for defective earrings,no one helps. Awful

I've purchased quite a good number of vouchers and products. I do not have any problem with the voucher system but I believe they should not sell goods anymore.The first good I purchased was a shower head almost a year ago and it completely fell apart yesterday. The chrome (plastic) holder snapped and it has also been leaking everywhere. I never even received the second one. I waited two months until I asked for a refund and at that point they still had no idea where it was. Amazingly I've ordered a few other things that arrived okay. If their tracking still says it's not shipped after two weeks I email them and they send it out after my email, I've learned from my second order that you have to follow up.

I've used groupon way too many times. Want to grab a bite to eat? Need new workout tops? How about an oversized photo of your niece? Groupon has it all! Literally... I use them weekly, and have never had an issue. Love them!
Just be careful and read the fine print! Sometimes there are exclusions or limits on what the company making the offer is willing to do. However, Groupon itself is great. I've never had a problem with them.
I have to say... out of all the various online/deal/voucher sites... the pioneer Groupon.com rules. Their customer service always reply to you as promised (within 24 hours). I have successfully received 3 refunds due to various vendor reasons (ie: had a terrible experience but purchased more than one voucher, business closed down temporarily, etc.)... you have to be detailed in your complaint and patient in getting your refund. 98% (come on groupon.com isn't perfect) of their vendors are reputable and respect you and the voucher when presented. Simple expectations that Groupon.com executes successfully but sadly not the way of the world these days. Great job Groupon :)
I just bought wrong horror night tickets (hollywood california, instead of orlando florida) 6 days before the event... and they said that they can't refund my money, and not even to switch to the right park. (Even though they are the "same" park of attraction).
Please don't try to buy anything from here, its not fair for people to lose $168 just because of an error, and something that can be fix soo easily. So sad for universal studios to make deals with this 3rd partie company good for nothing. (Probably won't renew my family year-pass with them anymore)

I bought a 90 minute massage and facial from Groupon for $132 in August, 2023. The "business" is Kebeauty and they have 17 5 star reviews on Groupon. After calling the massage parlor several times and leaving several voicemails, none of my calls were returned. I reached out to Groupon to request a refund, because the Groupon is due to expire shortly. Groupon let me know that they were able to reach the business and the business has been too busy to schedule me. I am still unable to reach the massage parlor to schedule and can't review the Kebeauty Massage parlor until the Groupon is used. I wasted $132 on this scam and am hoping no one else falls into a similar trap. Buyer beware!

Groupon is hit or miss. Sometimes you get a deal and the business is responsive. But there is also scam which customers are not protected against. One of my latest purchases - the business simply was not responding.The Groupon replied they do not issue refund after 3 days - like seriously? (note i tried scheduling appointment on the day of purchase!).
Anyways, if you have this problem, make sure you file with YOUR BANK. Your bank will compensate and if there re multiple complaints from different customers they WILL HUNT them down. So take an action!
