For exactly 120 for a couples massage was not reflected on my account. I contacted groupon and gave them the order number in question as well as screenshots of my confirmation email. Instead of inquiring on the issue they refunded a second groupon voucher I bought for a movie ticket in the amount of 26.45 when I paid 29.45 and skipped out on paying my 3 additional dollars. When I contacted them a third time, my email was blocked. I would have been fine calling and explain this issue but there is no customer service number. Beware of the bs. Groupon is sketchy.
We were so excited my husband was given this as a birthday gift…. The extra expenses have been ridiculous… extra $100 each to fly out from Brisbane… extra costs to sit together on flight… car hire for 3 days cause a very basic motel is not near city, beach, etc…. We were not honoured any of our three Friday and Saturday night options… had to fly out on a Thursday… taking away our income (haven't even gone and down $1060)… gosh I hope our bottom of the peeking order destination is worth it!
I gave one star due to the absolute terrible Customer service. This is for purchasing Groupons for a local service. You can't request a refund or trade in voucher for Groupon bucks anymore. They make it near impossible to get help, and you can't reach anyone in person or by email. It's all done by chat, which does not resolve your issues. BEWARE of purchasing local deals!

I bought something as a Christmas gift. It was defective. An agent emailed me and said they would send a prepaid shipping label. I called and emailed for 2 weeks but did not receive a label. Then they emailed me and said it was past the return period, and I'd have to return the item myself. It was a heavy item and cost me $40 to return. Absolutely horrible costumer service. Groupon obviously only cares about $ and doesn't give a crap about customers. I will NEVER use Groupon again and highly recommend all consumers stay away from Groupon.

I've been back and forth with supposedly their customer service dpt to get a refund or even a credit for a service that I couldn't use; and the merchant wrote an e-mail per Groupon request stating that I never used their services; however they are still dragging their feet to provide me with a refund. It's so frustrating going back and forth with the same info as they don't seem to know what they are doing. Never again I'm using Groupon!
What a nightmare to deal with groupon customer service, seems like all of them working abroad and dont know what customer service is. My provide doesnt have much availability, cant reac h on line and the booking link is broken, so i tried for several days and now asking to refund my groupon and all they say it out of cancellation window. I used groupon service in UK for 7 years and never encounter such poor horrible service. Be aware, never will do it again.
You really need to do your research thoroughly before making a purchase. The merchant's operation hour is impossible to schedule appointment and I purchased within a week, did not open the voucher, still not getting a refund. Also, most merchants charge same price in their office without a Groupon. So it's kind of not worth it to purchase a Groupon.
This was a scam. I didn't save anything at all. Paid full price just gave 1/2 to Groupon for no reason and 1/2 to the merchant who actually did the work. Would not recommend and tried getting some type of refund from Groupon and of course not. What a joke!

I have been a long time Grouponer. But the last 18 months have led me to merchants that dont speak english during my massage which wasnt a massage and groupon would not refund me. Then I purchased a pedicure groupon. When I called to make an appointment, the merchant refused to book me saying she wont accept the groupon as she will only make $10. She is still on Groupon and I was given (unuasable) groupon credit. Groupon was not apologetic either. Now the last merchant wont answer the phone. Then the call transfers to another number and then a voicemail where the mailbox is full. They said they would contact me after 7 days. It has now been 10 days and Groupon still wont refund me even though they havent heard from the merchant. Shocker! I cant dispute because I purchased the Groupon more than 90 days ago. Needless to say I will not be using Groupon again as they clearly dont protect the buyer. Also I was told that the email and chat is the only communication form available as their offices are closed (from COVID.) What? Its 2024.
Groupon used to be great, but not so much anymore. Now you have to worry about being able to reach the seller or if it's even a legit location. Yes, it happened to me. I ordered a Groupon and was unable to reach the seller so I drove to the location, but I wasn't able to find that seller, what I did find was a bank. Definitely not what I want it. To make the situation even worse, Groupon makes it very difficult to refund your money. Also, the prices are not that much cheaper anymore. For example, Groupon is selling air tax for $118 but you can get them for $80. I found a lot of overpriced items on Groupon, so I came to the conclusion, just because it's on Groupon. You are not necessarily getting a great deal. Actually, just the opposite. So I came to the conclusion that Groupon does not offer great customer service, and does not screen the sellers like they should. I did remove my Groupon app and will not use them again.

I also did not buy the AirTags, because they were grossly overpriced. at one point I ordered some kind of beauty service and I was able to reach that lady via phone but she did not give me a location, her excuse was I need to schedule a date in order to receive the location. I’ve never heard of anything crazy like this. Horrible Groupon experiences.
Total Fraud! I hit the Subtotal button my iPhone on Groupon and they claimed I hit purchase. They charged me@$200 for Seattle hotel that I never used, I called hotel and they couldn't help me, said call Groupon but they have no phone#!

I purchased a Groupon as a Christmas gift for my daughter, when I went to print it out it was marked redeemed. I obviously had not redeemed it. I did some research and found out the company has done it to everyone the purchased this deal. Groupon has been alerted several times that it was a scam and did not shut it down. I reached out and they basically said they couldn't help I needed to get it fixed through the vendor. This vendor literally didn't exist. After much back and forth they finally agreed to refund me in Groupon bucks. I go to my account and they have refunded the replace deal I purchased and always have for Christmas.
I reach out and they say they'll escalate it.
I never hear back. They completely ignored my requests and don't respond. There's no other way to contact them.
This is why they'll failing.

I paid for 2 a day las vegas go city pass. It worked for the first day and the whole second day of the vacation was declined reading invalid error I am still not compensated for the malfunction of their app I have lost out on half of my vacation events due to them not taking care of this I paid $400 for 2 days for my two children and myself the customer Department said it will be seven full days before they can do anything putting me out of our entire planned events I'm very disgusted with Groupon and lack of customer care. I will not be using them ever again

Be careful ya'll... purchased a Groupon in November. I have called the merchant numerous times to try to schedule as required in fine print. They have only called me back one time out of the many times I have called. I cannot get an appointment as they keep telling me the doctor is in another state and not available. I asked Groupon for a refund or credit for this and they refuse to help.

I was charged twice for tickets I purchased. I even showed them proof on my credit card statement. Said sorry can't help you. At least give me four tickets since I payed for them. Beware of them. They'll give you the runaround till they figure you'll wear down.
I contacted Royal Agape Day Spa on 4 separate occasions over 1 weeks time to schedule an appointment for a Lymphatic massage after purchasing from Groupon. No return calls. This is the second time this has happened to me but with a different business. I contacted Groupon and have about 8 emails back and forth with them which has still not resulted in my money back. I provided proof of all my outreaches and no return calls. They continue to encourage me to reach out to the vendor, or they share they are escalating the matter but it seems like they are trying to avoid giving me my money back. I am highly upset and the level of avoidance from Groupon regarding this matter is outrageous. They have now minimized their credibility and will never receive any of my business again. It's really disappointing that I was the customer and ripped off and yet I am being held responsible. There's no way this company should be able to get away with this!
I purchased a tour on Groupon.com. Their booking system allowed me to purchase for 'today' but when I went to redeem, it was expired. I purchased in the morning and tours were available until late afternoon. I contacted them right away received prompt responses, but from a different person every time. After dealing with 10 different Groupon employees I've made no progress and accepted a Groupon credit, which is of little use because I'm from Canada. They said they could not transfer the credit to my Groupon.ca account. Their booking system is faulty and, based on their responses, I am not confident they will fix it. Beware.
Purchased tickets for a show that was not scheduled at the venue. Asked Groupon for a refund the day after, which they still have not provided. Will never use their services ever again. I know there were other people at the venue they did the same thing to; and I'm sure they did the same thing to them. FRAUD for sure!

Groupon had a hammam experienced listed from Crystal Palace Spa on Edgware Road- costing £240 for a 90 minute service for 2. The photos reflected the price and looked decent.
When I went the entire place smelt of sewage and it was a health and safely hazard. There was dirt everywhere, broken windows, unclean showers and dirty laundry on the floors. My service finished after 60 minutes not 90 as advertised
When contacting groupon for this misleading advert to get a full refund/compensation they refused. This multi billion dollar company neglects their customers and posts fraudulent services.

Valentines Day surprise was just that. I had ordered roses but got carnations instead. For $52 I had hoped a nicer flower group would be delivered. I'm very dissatisfied. Don't buy the inter floral Groupon deal!
The worst sight ever I was charged for 2 reservations for a hotel, I only needed 1 they won't give me my money back there's no 2nd reservation that shows at the property, you can't talk to a live person! Theses people are crazy no help from the hotel that I booked with! It says complimentary breakfast on the sight the hotel said they stopped that 7 months ago! This is just crazy now I'm out of 500+ dollars my bank, the hotel, or Groupon doesn't care! The hotel keeps charging fees on my credit card this is absolutely unacceptable on so many levels!

Paid for a oil change 60 bucks or so, Groupon instantly charged my credit card, but did not furnish me any kind of code to use. Contacted customer support, and the route Idiot said it would be about four hours before someone would get back to me. Whatever business you're dealing with, just go directly to them and ask for a discount, they'll be more than happy to give you one. Now, I'm having to dispute the charges on my credit card, because Groupon never gave me the coupon that I paid for.
I contacted customer support to get a refund for an unused Groupon that I purchased and was unable to use due to the fact that the merchant went out of business before I was able to claim the service. First of all, you cannot contact anyone via phone, so you're left with an online chat center located who knows where. After explaining the situation multiple times, they flat out refused to offer me a credit or a refund. In light of what happened, I basically feel that Groupon stole the money from me and kept it all for themselves without the defunct merchant or I reaping any benefit whatsoever. Terrible policy, poor customer service, and dishonest business practices all the way around.
I think it is terrible how these companies have gone 100% online. You cannot email, call, get a phone number or person on the phone. If you need a refund or any kind of assistance after your purchase you are screwed. I had purchased Catalina Flyer tickets to Catalina Island and after groupon purchase you are prompted to then go to that Catalina Flyer site and they were fully booked for over a week out?! So we obviously needed a refund. When people spend money on your company, they should be able to call and speak to an actual agent regarding their purchase. What a scam. Unfortunate. No more purchasing from Groupon, you have lost my service. What a nightmare!
Please do not buy the Microsoft Office being sold by Groupon! It's not a true software. When I contacted Microsoft, I was told the code that is given is for retail usage only. I tried to contact Groupon for a refund and told me it was a final purchase sale and that I need to see the fine print before purchasing. Why would you let this be sold on your website? Please those positive reviews on people that have purchased this are lies. You can't use this software. I will not do business with Groupon again. Groupon has presented me with some great deals over the years. Some of these deals have been wasted money (due to the fine print, not being able to schedule a good time with the vendor), while others have been very worthwhile.
I would caution anyone from adding their credit card to Groupon. There isn't a checkout page so as soon as you click the 'Buy" tickets/Groupon it'll charge your credit card. Groupon will then refuse to refund your order, even if you didn't intend to purchase the item or ticket. Be aware of this.
