For exactly 120 for a couples massage was not reflected on my account. I contacted groupon and gave them the order number in question as well as screenshots of my confirmation email. Instead of inquiring on the issue they refunded a second groupon voucher I bought for a movie ticket in the amount of 26.45 when I paid 29.45 and skipped out on paying my 3 additional dollars. When I contacted them a third time, my email was blocked. I would have been fine calling and explain this issue but there is no customer service number. Beware of the bs. Groupon is sketchy.
We were so excited my husband was given this as a birthday gift…. The extra expenses have been ridiculous… extra $100 each to fly out from Brisbane… extra costs to sit together on flight… car hire for 3 days cause a very basic motel is not near city, beach, etc…. We were not honoured any of our three Friday and Saturday night options… had to fly out on a Thursday… taking away our income (haven't even gone and down $1060)… gosh I hope our bottom of the peeking order destination is worth it!
This is the worst merchant on the internet today. I have received from ideeli in the past month, one previously worn (and damaged) bracelet and two necklaces that I did not order and do not even remotely resemble what I did order.
The fine folks at ideeli customer service (there are rocks in my front yard with higher intelligence) promised me a full refund - purchase price plus shipping - back to my debit card. I have this agreement in writing.
Today, I get an email from customer service that my purchase price - less shipping - is now available to use as STORE CREDIT.
Hey ideeli, no offense, but I don't want to shop on your website ever again. So I'm going to need you to go ahead and refund the entire amount back to my debit card as you originally promised...
I will post again once I have resolution. Until then, caveat emptor! Or shop with someone else.
Love this site for any and everything! Recommend to everyone! Great deals on EVERYTHING!. Read fine print for expiration dates of each groupon. If something seems "too good to be true" there is always a Q&A or a phone you can call to ask about a product. I have yet to have an issue with a products authenticity. But just ask if you are in question.
I bought a Christmas gift for a friend. Ordered 12/1; delivered 12/8. Upon unwrapping on 12/25, the person already had another one so I wanted to return. NO DICE. Can't return after 14 days. Everything with order was OK; but I ams tuck with a non-item for me. Won't use for gifts ever again.
Absolutely do not buy a Groupon. If services are not received, their customer service will make excuses as to why they cannot refund or credit you. I spent $75.00 and cannot get my services or money back... AVOID!
I bought IPL treatment to Alla salon, tried to phone and SMS many times, their respond was that machine broken and takes few weeks to fix. After month negotiation i came to the conclusion that this is scam. I contacted groupon to refund my $ 70.00 back. They refused on offered trade in to groupon account when i tried to trade for new deal its appear the $70 was not deposited to the account. The customer service has no phone contact only through e-mails which they don't respond anyways... I will not buy any more from groupon
Can't tell you how many I've bought with 100% satisfaction. They even keep on my back with emails when one is about to expire shortly. Refunded two when the restaurants went out of business before we could use them. Just got back from a vacation 2 weeks ago where we bought the hotel room with a groupon. They answer emails in a timely fashion as well. Just make sure you can use it before it expires.
I cannot cancel an order, or use "Live Chat" to contact a rep. It only gives me an error page saying "Illegal Parameter"?
Emailed and am waiting for reply. After reading all the negative posts on here, I am worried that I will be billed for this item, and will not be able to reach anyone. Ugh.

Not worth the trouble. Prices appear to be good deals but I have always ended up paying more than I planned to (once shipping/tax etc. are included) and it has always been a HUGE HASSLE to actually get my merchandise! I've had to contact customer service for assistance every single time. Don't do it. Not worth it.
We are clients of Groupon and have been for a few years. They are a great partner of our marketing group! We have found that the service charge for advertising deals and getting our name out there is so much more cost effective with Groupon than any other format. Yes you might make less profit, BUT everybody is looking for a deal these days, so Groupon is there first stop.
Again, we are very impressed by them and the effort they put in to help you create the best package for your company!
What a nightmare. Good luck returning anything. I initiated a return immediately after purchase and have been trying DAILY ever since for them to send me a return sticker from UPS. The first few days, I received their stock email, about waiting 1-2 business days for the label to arrive. We emailed back and forth six times, always with the same response from them, and the label never appearing. Now, they don't even respond to my email. I'm beyond angry. I just want to never deal with them again.

Would not recommend Groupon. The items from deals I have purchased have taken a long time to arrive. It was painfully difficult to chase them up. Emails were not responded to and if I tried to telephone it was 40 minutes hanging on on 2 occasions without ever getting through. Goods you think are local are not. I purchased watches for Christmas gifts that ended up being sent from Hong Kong, were damaged in the post and I had to return them overseas at my expense for a refund (that excluded my $15 return post cost) that took months to arrive. Also, they can send you 2 or 3 emails in a day sometimes which is annoying and clogs up your emails even more. You unsubscribe and then someone signs you up without your consent because they get a cash bonus and you are back on the merry-go-round. Save your money & time. Big thumbs down from me and it is great to be rid of the temptations of stuff you don't need!
I was using them for a while and had no major problems but after they refused to help me with a purchase from a deal where what was advertised was not delivered and were very rude about it, I refuse to ever give them my money again. It just takes one really bad experience to ruin years worth of business.
I placed an order at the beginning of March 2015. It is now April 1! (I have not received any notification/emails since placing my order, btw.) I was however, charged for my order, which was reflected on my bank account as of yesterday. Ideel policy states that you will NOT be charged for your order until it ships... WRONG! I have contacted customer service through email and am awaiting response. My suggestion, save yourself the hassle, time and headache of having to track/follow up on your orders.

As you noted, we do not bill your credit card until your order has shipped. If you have been billed for your order, it means the package is probably in transit. You would have been notified by e-mail as soon as we had a tracking number for the package, and the e-mail would have been itemized for the item or items that were shipped and billed. If you have not received an order confirmation e-mail from when you placed the order, nor a shipping confirmation e-mail when the order shipped the other day, this could indicate a problem with our e-mail communication.
If you could message me back with your order number, or your e-mail address, I’d be more than happy to look into what went wrong with those notifications. If my customer service team has not already resolved the issue for you, I will look into it personally.

I wish I could give 0 stars. I just purchased tickets to Blue Man Group and no where in the fine print does it state age limitations. They won't refund my money. This used to be one of my favorite companies. I wonder what has happened. Lately, it seems as if everyone you talk to has a "I'm sorry, but there's nothing I can do" attitude. What a change! They lost a customer today.
In addition, they say you can only cancel the purchase on the day of the purchase, but I sent an e-mail and they were too busy to get back to me. Or maybe that's the way they do it so you can't get a refund. In any event, Goodbye Groupon. I'm no longer a fan!
I haven't bought a Groupon in 2 years. Why? Because of their customer service. It's probably a reflection of how they had to grow so quickly but I had 2 businesses not fulfill their Groupon promise and Groupon's customer success team said, "Not our fault." Well, I disagree. But... you can still find some great deals, just BEWARE. 3 stars.
I put 4 stars but it's really about average for me. I did find some great deals on a few trips, some restaurant coupons, and movie stuff. I admit, that in my early uses of the site I got bit by my own oversight and not reading the fine print about how/when to use.
I have been caught with a few I didn't use for a variety of reasons and one time was an instance I had to reach out to Groupon. Customer service took a while to respond but I do say that they took care of my groupon and credited because the vendor was awful.
I feel a lot of times Groupon doesn't offer the right things when I need them nor do they seem to always choose the best vendors to hold the groupon for. Can't totally put that on them but I will to some degree.
All in all its' been a cool concept with some good success for me, and some failures but I would recommend giving it a try. Just be sure to be smart about things and read the full details of how you have to use the Groupon and if there are any restrictions.
If. They don't fix their customer service interaction in a timely manner their business model will tank. I see more bad reviews than I see good. This review is for customer service and not being able to cancel my same day purchase. WOW! They really don't want to be in contact with people. Their home website don't even have an area where you cant contact them directly, takes you in circles.
I have not received my stuff its still in process mode....so I tried cancelling since it has not been shipped, no tracking number, noting...I was told that I could not get a refunded the way I paid, through my credit card. So they offered me only two options, Groupon bucks or they would order the product again free of charge?? HELLO, what the heck!!...She stated once it was shipped they could not refund payment, I asked for the tracking number and she could not give me one because there is not one YET!!! so why cant I get my money back!!! through so many back and forth chats, there is literally no options. So guess I will wait to see if I ever get my items. Once done, I am closing this Groupon BS account!! BEWARE of their deceptive practices
Horrible customer service. Bought an airport parking voucher. Make you view it in order to make a reservation. Once I clicked through to Peachy Parking, the actual cost was over $10 less on their site. GroupOn CS says - "too bad so sad!" you viewed it so it is not refundable.
At times I think this is a great site, but often it turn into an overtly consumer driven push to buy junk that you don't need. That said, if you are already looking to buy a product or service and the right deal hits at the same time, it's fantastic.
Awesome experience with Carrie. I came in with a picture of how I wanted my hair cut and man she just copied it perfectly! She also gave me some advice on how I could make my hair healthier and tips on brushes to use and techniques that most stylist will not give out. Wonderful person too she genuinely wants to make you happy when you leave. Great Groupon price and excellent customer service.
A small business killer. Groupon lies in order to attract businesses to offer deals that are 50% off. The clients that purchase these deeply discounted coupons are far from the ideal clients small businesses want to attract. They are basement bargain hunters only and will not come back (even if the service or products are excellent) unless the business offers another groupon, they rarely tip on the full price, and are just basically bottom feeders. Groupon may be great for the customer but it is horrible for the business, which is losing money just by offering the deal.
I wish groupon cared about their customers as much as money. It's almost like the find pleasure in stealing from customers! I will never use groupon again for as long as I live. If they just updated their refund policy and "fine print" then they would likely have a loyal customer base, but obviously the owner didn't get past 3rd grade and doesn't know a thing about business.
I was terrified after I made my first purchase from Ideeli and then read this site. I was like what in the world did I get myself into.
Well:
(1) It states on their website next to every purchase made that the item will not schedule to ship for approximately 3-4 weeks after purchase.
(2) It states you will be charged upon receipt of the order placement and shipment is scheduled to depart their warehouse.
(3) Shipping states to allow another 7-10 business days
They far exceeded those expectations. I received my order 7 business days after ordering it! The item was perfect; in its original packaging.
I am not stating this site is perfect. I am sure it has its fair share of issues. However, I do think that people do not read what the site says and then get angry because they don't receive their product for 2 months (which according to their site is all they promise, no more no less).

Bought a groupon good as a gift for my grandchild's birthday present who lives in another state. Groupon forwarded my billing address to the shipper instead of the the shipping address I provided. The service rep told me it happens do to their system but it's my fault because I didn't catch the error sooner and now they can't fix it, even though it hasn't shipped. All they are willing to do is refund my money after they receive the item back.
