Very disappointed!

Purchased two pair of mens chino shorts. I have never seen a more cheaply made product! The material is flimsy. The pockets are so shallow that if you put change in there and sat down, the change would fall out. The back pockets are so shallow that when you put your wallet in, you can't button it….your wallet will fall out. And, try calling them for a return….good luck! I'm done with Groupon!

I was pretty furious to find out that Ideeli did not use my return credits to pay for a new order. Really really disappointing; I really thought Ideeli would treat me better than this. I see this as an easy way for them to get more money out of me and then tie me to the site with the return credits I still have. What a disgrace.

In fact, per our standard policy, store credits are actually automatically applied to your order at checkout. Groupon offer some nice deals, but if anything goes wrong with the event you pay for then you are stuck. They won't offer you any refund of any kind, they will blame the company with whom you had your experience, will take for ever to respond, and will simply deflect you with nonsense. For instance, if the groupon is purchased as a gift then they will deny any need to act as your are not the account holder. In addition, as the groupon voucher is purchased from Groupon - you cannot obtain any refund etc from the company (spa, hotel, whatever) that caused you the initial problem. So, in conclusion, Groupon are a very low quality company offering cheap buyer beware deals. I would not go anywhere near ever again.

Scandulous company
February 4, 2016

Ordered a New York double duvet before xmas as a present for a relative travelling there for her 40th this year. When I received it they had sent a Route 66 duvet, immediately sent it back through their collect service. Four weeks on and there was no reply so I contacted their customer service, unfortunately as my wife has lost the return slip there is no refund.
In summary
Wrong item sent
Managed to lose return
Refused a refund
How much worse could they be?

Beware of Groupon
August 10, 2021

I would not recommend Groupon to my worst enemy. It's impossible to reach them and try to resolve a problem. I have tried to email them numerous times and their mail box is always full. The chats are a joke and don't address the issue at hand even though I spelled it out to them. I have blocked them and will never use them again.

Groupon is a crooked site stay away from them. U pay for something and if you don't make the trip you can't get the money used towards another groupon which makes no sense. They like to say the sale is final and you can't get a refund but they should at least let the money be used towards another groupon. Crooks and i will never ever use them again.

I have had 2 vouchers from this site and the first one the company had sold out so got money back for the voucher, the 2nd one is not responding to my enquires and i'm now stuck with trying to get my money back "again"! I won't be using them again. Shame because a good idea but badly executed!

I ordered several items from Ideeli. Casual items seem to be the best (considering quality/price). Designers' items – not impressed with their cuts/quality, but this is the fault of designers. One time my order was canceled – I wrote an e-mail to Ideeli's customer support and received an apologetic response + some amount in credit as a gift (nice!). I bought a dress using that credit (considering the price of the dress + my credit = the total price was almost non-existent). I did not like the dress, but it was a designer's fault – a poor cut. I am completely satisfied with Ideeli's customer service. But! If I worked for Ideeli as a buyer, I would choose different brands…Of course, I do not know what kind of deals Ideeli has with designers and how easy it is to obtain discounts.

I've bought several items from Groupon with no issues... Tickets to the museum which were redeemed seamlessly, some games and dvds from groupon goods that arrived as expected with no issues, a restaurant voucher that was redeemed with not issues and an oil change package. I love Groupon! I even have the app on my phone. No complaints here

Groupon has the WORST customer service ever. We made a vacation reservation and paid. They did not make reservation and gave me $35 in groupon bucks back with a 10day hold on my money. What the hell. I spent 120$ more booking with the vacation location because it was a big deal. Never ever again will I use them

Don't fall for the "free returns" stated on the website. Items are only eligible for free returns if you choose store credit instead of a refund. I paid $9.95 for shipping on an order so subsequent orders during the month shipped free. I returned a pair of jeans, which qualified for free shipping, and was charged $8.95 for shipping back the returned item. If I had chosen store credit the return would have been free. So I essentially paid 200% of the shipping charges I had been expecting. I hope the $8.95 is worth a lot to ideel.com because that is the last money they'll ever see from me.

Groupon Sucks
July 23, 2018

I am so mad that Groupon is very misleading about the product pricing and wont let you get a refund. It claims that they will but the one time I use it they claimed it was a sales final item although I couldnt find where it said that. The customer service person was not at all helpful. The item said it was going to be $49.00 so how did I end up spending $115.00 more dollars for the item? False advertisement. Please dont waste your time or money using this service! This company is horrible. Once I bought it I couldnt do anything more about it so I had to buy the item or just be out the $50.00. I really hope it comes out to be worth the extra money!

I have been using www.groupon.com for over 2 years now. I absolutely love if you are a coupon clipper person this site is for you. Groupon is better savings than a coupon and it covers you for whatever area you are in from restaurants to adventures to hotel stays you always come out a winner but only if your into savings.

Ideeli sucks

Ideeli sucks. Bottom line. I had to contact customer service several times about an item that I was charged for, but never received. After several weeks I contacted them again about a refund. 2 weeks later received refund for the item only - no shipping not even tax. I will not buy from them again. It's just too hard to get good customer service.

Very bad bad experience! I bought the mascara on special deal and never receive it! After 15 days delay I emailed them once and had the email back to wait as they dispatched it, I did not receive so after another 7 days I emailed them and there is no answer back for any of my emails. Never going to use Groupon again.

Tried Groupon for the first time as they sent an email message with a $10 discount offer. After I made a purchase I saw their transaction did not include the $10. I sent an email to their customer service and was told it should have applied but I would need to make another purchase if I want the discount (by tomorrow).

I bought my mother the "$15 on Ebay for $7" Groupon deal. It doesn't work for her, and the completely unhelpful people at Groupon just told her to contact Ebay to deal with the problem. I'm very displeased with the situation, particularly Groupon's complete unwillingness to take responsibility for its share of the issue, and will not be using Groupon in the future.

I started using this site last summer. I have bought some really unusual things I would not have seen before. I received a couple of items that were very cheap and broke or just not good quality. I just threw away and try to pay better attention. Some things take a long time to get but so far a good site.

Products here are really authentic but the only problem I've encountered is that up to now, they never replied to my e-mails. I made a lot of returns, some products are too small or big for me so I made returns for it. Some of their products are also similar to Hautelook. I just hope they will improved their customer service.

I've been a fan of Bob's books for a while, and we use his training program for our retail staff to great success. This recent book is no different in its importance to me as a business owner. It's a concise read and is spot-on important for business owners and consumers to understand - Groupon is bad news for both customers and for businesses.
