You should always check to see what the real price of the items are before buying a Groupon. Lot of their stuff is just regular price but with some gimmick added on. Other than that, usually they have good deals. I still buy from them often.
I wish I could do a 0 cause this transaction isn't even worth a 1...I purchased Mcafee as I have so many times before with no problems as well as other items but for some reason it gives me a redemption code that can only be used in the UK and Ireland, yet I live in USA. I purchased on the 11/12/2024 and I have tried since November 13th, 2024, to get help but nothing. Use caution if ordering anything from them I guess customers aren't important once they get your money. I will no longer order $#*! from them!
I first found out about it after i got an offer from amazon local and when i mentioned it to someone else, they said to try group on. Then i got totally hooked, bad part, one place completely stopped taking them and expiration date was months away- they refunded me for that-
However, i have been having an excruciating time with at least 3 other group on deals, and groupon's response, that i can still use it even if the promotional value expires, that the actual amount paid does not expire, what good does the do me when they're not calling me back at all! AT this point i'm more at a lost- i should have stuck with amazon local, they have less deals, but i have not had a problem with them at all.

This site is awesome! I can't believe people have only been rating it 1 star but they claim to "love" it. The site is great and it boggles my mind that people don't take the time to read the "fine print" anymore, it would save people a lot of headache. It's not that hard people! If you don't like the deal then don't purchase it. Anyway, this site has definitely saved me a lot of money from restaurants, spa treatments, event tickets, etc... I always check groupon for the best deals. Sometimes it's great, sometimes it's not but it still always worth a look.

Every order with every credit card i have had has been cancelled by the site. It always tells me pending authorization, and to add a new card. When i do add yet another new card, the same thing constantly happens. I gave up after my third attempt at buying something failed. This site is ridiculously bad, stay away!

I order from groupon all the time and after a horrible experience with another company I wanted to write a positive review. I had a package stolen from my doorstep and groupon customer service gave me a refund. Their customer service has always been great. I did order something that they happened to have too much demand for but promptly gave me a refund for it as well. Ya bummer I didn't get what i ordered but im not out any money from it. I will continue to use groupon. Im on there daily and the app works great as well makes ordering easy.

Only two so so experiences. One, I didn't get a gift certificate in a timely manner and I was told to call the restaurant for it. Two, the hair dryer I bought did not have the features groupon claimed. Other than that, all my shopping has been pretty decent on there.

I used to purchase a lot from Ideeli. I recently got an order that I wanted to return most items -- poor quality and had a chemical smell. I'm still waiting for them to respond to two emails. Live chat doesn't even exist! Hard to believe a company could go so quickly from great to horrible. I do NOT recommend anyone to shop here! Now I'm out of nearly $100! Shame on Ideeli!

Really? Someone was actually able to have a verbal conversation with customer service? How does that happen? I just know that on more than one occasion, when I have had an issue, I will contact customer service. The rep may respond, but it is never with a clear resolution. When I write back for clarification or try for definitive (and hopefully) resolution, I do not hear back from them. Yeah, I am going to have to move on... It's all good when there are NO glitches. But successful resolution, based on my experience- and apparently others, is not a real possibility.

I am a business owner - a sole proprietor massage therapist - about to run a groupon deal. I have had nothing but good experiences so far with them. They contacted me quickly, have been very responsive and helpful, and are getting my deal up and running in record time. I suppose it's easier for a merchant offering a service over one who sells physical goods - I'm not losing a dime by running this deal, rather just making less money for my time but in return I'm getting exposure I need and know I will take care of my clients and encourage them to continue returning. It's probably not for everyone, but I'm really looking forward to the new clients this deal will bring my way.

I bought something for $44.60 using PayPal. Never received product and seen there was charge for $44.60, $18.60, $25.87, and $48. Their Live Chat is not open Mon-Friday and no return call or emails from multiple attempts. This is a fraudulent company obviously!

I wish I had read reviews of Groupon before buying my Fitbit tracker. It only lasted 6 1/2 months before dying. Fitbit does not recognize Groupon as an authorized vendor of their products, therefore the factory warranty is null and void. Groupon states that the buyer has only 30 days to return a defective product. I tried to talk to a supervisor, but have not been successful. I'm out the cost of the tracker, as well as the 2 hour run around I got while trying to resolve this issue with both Fitbit and Groupon. Truly a Buyer Beware company!

One month ago bought tickets for a Circus today in London and when me, my two small kids and husband got to the address given by Groupon there was nothing! We wandered around until contacted Groupon customer service who confirmed the wrong address then made me call ticket line who informed me that the show was happening in another location a while ago! Wasted money, time, we cancelled another activity because this one was booked. Disappointment and no answer from Groupon. I want my money back!

Received a wrinkled, literally balled up suit, not as depicted on website. Then signed on and account had been replaced with new account (my email with a "1" at the end) with no order history. Such a waste of time and money. Lucky me. I get two wait 48 hours for a return label. Then trek to post office to return something that is not at all what I ordered and then wait for a refund less whatever ridiculous deductions they have the nerve to charge. Not the convenience I am looking for when online shopping.

Last two Groupon purchases have been a bust! Latest was for audio/video transfer to DVD. Redemption Codes didn't work. Groupon's advice was to contact the company. Companies advice was to try to access website again in a day or two. A week later coupons still don't work. Probably will have to cancel my credit card purchase.
Previous Groupon was for detailing cars. Sketchy company didn't answer phone. Turned out it was a folding chair with a sign in a parking building in an industrial area. After a bunch of us complained, Groupon refunded our money.
Inescapable conclusion is that Groupon does not investigate to see if there is an actual business before it sells coupons.

May 14,2015. I made a hotel reservation and never received an email confirming the transaction. I sent several emails to Groupon customer support (they make it very difficult to even get any support by getting you lost in a Q & A maze)and all I received was a reply that someone would contact me. It is now the next day and still no contact from Groupon. This is the first and last time that use Groupon for Hotel reservations. The price does not make up for the lack of support and aggravation. Terrible service! Stay Away!

There are other comparable sites in our area but none have proven to be managed and executed as well as Groupon. Each offer displays in detail what to expect and includes the merchant's web site and/or telephone number so that you can research the deal before you buy.
After using several other sites with similar offers, we have always returned to Groupon. Groupon has become our number one source for fantastic deals especially when you can apply their promo codes in addition to the merchant's price. Groupon is the BEST!

Whatever I have shopped, always arrived well packed and I can always track it. I delivered a few items and never had issues, they let you know when the article arrived at their offices and the refund have been than very fast. They items that are not refundable are clearly marked so it's up to the consumer to read carefully. The brands are genuine but some items are of better quality than others, you just need to make your own research. They have beautiful items at very faster prices. I recommend also house items. Wait for the free shipping days, they came regularly.

Had one shopping experience without any problems and one with major issues. Customer service took 6 days to respond the first time and then several days more over the course of multiple emails to finally answer my question... or so I thought. After taking some time to cool down before I contacted customer service again they finally resolved my problem. Just really disappointed that they claim to respond to customer's questions within 24 hours and failed to do so at every turn. Will use my credit and then I'm never shopping their site again.

I had been receiving their offers for some tme now and decided to try out one of the offers. I did this 2 days ago and have not heard anything about my purchase. I sent them an email and told them if I don't hear within 24 hours I am assuming that this is a scam and I plan to contact my bank and stop payment. I have not heard a word so as soon as I finish typing this then that is exactly what I will be doing. Never again will I send money to any business on the web. In my minds eye, they have ruined it for many legit businesses.

This is the worst merchant on the internet today. I have received from ideeli in the past month, one previously worn (and damaged) bracelet and two necklaces that I did not order and do not even remotely resemble what I did order.
The fine folks at ideeli customer service (there are rocks in my front yard with higher intelligence) promised me a full refund - purchase price plus shipping - back to my debit card. I have this agreement in writing.
Today, I get an email from customer service that my purchase price - less shipping - is now available to use as STORE CREDIT.
Hey ideeli, no offense, but I don't want to shop on your website ever again. So I'm going to need you to go ahead and refund the entire amount back to my debit card as you originally promised...
I will post again once I have resolution. Until then, caveat emptor! Or shop with someone else.

Here are the facts. They charged my credit card $10 for the coupon that we purchased. The credit card company listed their account from Chicago, IL. I live in California. Less than two weeks later, 3 fraudulent charges were made at greater chicago area Macy's for over $700. This is the first time that my credit card has been stolen. I'll let you be the judge of this website.

We booked a holiday with Groupon, a 6-day trip to Italy. Their agent, Weekender Breaks pretty much ripped us off making flight bookings that didn't connect with the holiday rail travel. We then had substantial additional costs to change the flights, paying for their incompetence.
The rail travel also turned out to be pretty much of a con, they booked us on a 1-way ticket only. So there were further hidden costs for us to get back home again.
There were also many other issues and all in all, it was a very bad experience.
We can only recommend people to keep away from Groupon and their lousy holiday companies like Weekender Breaks.

After purchasing one leather journal and trying to get it monogrammed, which was impossible I am now responsible for over $100 plus excessive shipping costs. I have spent hours trying to find a phone number to discuss this with Groupon but there is no number. I have sent two texts but there has been no answer. I bought a Christmas gift for a friend. Ordered 12/1; delivered 12/8. Upon unwrapping on 12/25, the person already had another one so I wanted to return. NO DICE. Can't return after 14 days. Everything with order was OK; but I ams tuck with a non-item for me. Won't use for gifts ever again.

Love this site for any and everything! Recommend to everyone! Great deals on EVERYTHING!. Read fine print for expiration dates of each groupon. If something seems "too good to be true" there is always a Q&A or a phone you can call to ask about a product. I have yet to have an issue with a products authenticity. But just ask if you are in question.
