You should always check to see what the real price of the items are before buying a Groupon. Lot of their stuff is just regular price but with some gimmick added on. Other than that, usually they have good deals. I still buy from them often.
Theatre voucher failed to appear. After about two hours of online chat we were told the problem would be investigated which would likely take 48-72 hours. The show started in 2 hours. Attached picture shows order still processing an hour after the show began. Utterly incompetent and useless.
I tried to cancel an order shortly after I placed it and there was no way. Almost impossible to get in touch with them.

Signed up for their new Groupon+ Dining Cashback program, made purchases and received confirmation they were recorded, however, the company hasn't paid a dime in cashback. Two weeks now I've gone back and forth with their outsourced scriptreading bots and copy and paste morons and still no resolution. They haven't a clue. They actively prevent customer from contacting actual company reps. There's no phone number to call. Just endless copied and pasted BS. Even BBB and Social Media complaints have gone unresponded to

Wow, so unprofessional... Groupon lied to my bank about me receiving the product I bought but asked for a refund without receiving anything. They lie their way to not refund anything. Do NOT buy anything on here. I've had this problem for weeks and still can't retrieve a refund, absolute waste of people.

Groupon has turned into a big business that no longer cares about their customers! Add onto it, the horrible post-sale customer service where all I heard was that the sale is final and sorry for the inconvenience.
I bought a voucher for a Spartan Race, which had a title of "Valid for Any Race in 2023" and I can not use it for our team. In the fine print at the very, very, very bottom of the page, it says it is only good for the "Open" start times. So, not for a "Any" race, as the title states and mentioned nowhere in the highlights below it. Shady sales tactics!
I rarely use Groupon because of reasons like this one, I should have stuck to not using them for this purchase!

Purchased a Groupon for a service, $1,782 and when I showed up to office the merchant said they hate Groupon and charged me an extra $716 to complete procedure. I sent many emails to Groupon, first off, they do not comprehend the English language completely. It took many, maybe 8 emails before I begged that someone who understands English to step in. The answer was oh well, you redeemed the Groupon so get the money from the merchant. I asked about the price guarantee and I received the same blanket answer a few more times. All of the answers were the same. Go to the merchant and try to settle the issue. Obviously the merchant simply said Groupon pricing is not correct. Be careful when you use Groupon, call the merchant if its a service to make sure they honor the Groupon price. I did receive the service, but sad I paid more than I originally thought I was going too. Groupon is of NO HELP!

It is astonishing Groupon is in business. I made the mistake of buying a Groupon, and the merchant was appalling. Groupon sent me a review link that didn't work—that can happen, but their response to the matter has been astonishing. Trying to deal with their "customer service" is like banging your head against the wall. I purchased tickets to the Field Museum in January 2023 from Groupon. I selected the All Access pass from the drop-down menu, which their site says includes general admission plus exhibits and a 3D movie. I received the Basic Admission pass when they delivered the actual tickets; however I paid the price of the All Access pass for those tickets. The only way to communicate with their customer service team is via live chat or email. After days of going back and forth, they refuse to acknowledge any of the screenshots of what their site promises vs what they delivered. They simply say I purchased the Basic Admission, which I clearly did not based on the choices on their site. You cannot talk to a real person, the don't acknowledge any evidence you provide, and they just tell you all sales are final. I would never do business with them again after this experience. A complete bait and switch scam with no customer service.

I went o to Las Vegas and paid for a burlesque show. The show was cancelled and I did not get a notification. When asking the venue for a refund, they said I needed to contact Groupon who sold the ticket. Upon contact, they refused to refund me for 1. Not cancelling the payment within 24 hours of purchasing (because I can foresee the future) and 2. They told me to read the fine print. I did and it said nothing about refunding a cancelled show except they will notify the buyer of the cancellation. Which they did not.
They are still refusing to refund me my money.

I bought a Brio luggage set through Groupon.com in April, 2017 and during my first trip in June, 2017 the handle of the luggage broke. Groupon sent me to deal with Brio. Brio would not accept return nor store credit and offer to send the replacement handle (same flimsy handle) which I have to install it myself. I went back to Groupon requesting help for store credit and was denied with the explanation that they only have 14 days return policy although the item was broken. Groupon supervisor, Trevor, insisted that there is nothing they could do and told me that Brio replacement part is fair. He offered $20 Groupon credit as if that would resolve my problem. I declined the coupon and would not purchase physical items from Groupon again.

After buying a groupon for a dog collar I noticed it was not working. I contacted groupon and the company. Both are telling me its not their problem. Groupon has now informed me they will not refund the money even though they know the code isnt working. Save your money and just order from the company itself. Bad customer service

After purchasing a Groupon, scheduling an appointment through their link and confirming through text messages they sent to me (2x). I was told "tough luck". Now the very cryptic request on how to obtain a refund. Has finally replied stating that they have "escalated it" and I'll hear back in a week. So to sum it up…. They have no problem stealing your money and wasting your time and gas…. And I'm left at the mercy of them "investigating" to see if I'm eligible for a refund. DO NOT BUY! I'm surprised by all the negative reviews for Ideel. I have purchased probably at least a dozen times, and I've had no issues with authenticity, quality or returns. It seems to me a lot of reviewers have misunderstood the policies. Also, customer service has been quite good in my experience.

One deal for an Indian meal for 4 was okay. Other deals I've tried have failed miserably. Don't commit any more than you can afford to loose, for me that's about 25 gbp and I did. Trying to get a refund has proven impossible, what a con!
My advice is to stay well clear.

I like ideeli. The items are always sent out on time and the dates of shipment are clearly listed when ordering. Yes, sometimes orders take weeks but you can't complain because the dates of shipment for each item are listed under the price. It is up to the buyer if they want to wait that long. Ive found some great deals and some good quality pieces, everything has arrived new and in nice red wrapping paper. I had a few issues which were easily resolved by talking to a customer service rep. They're $9.95 monthly shipping charge is very fair if your a frequent shopper, however I wish they offered 2 shipping options, a one time $5.95 or monthly 9.95---that would be awesome! Also, sometimes they advertise red sales but the items I recognize from earlier in the month and at the same full price, I find this deceptive. But I do realize ideeli needs to make $, just dont advertise it as a red or closeout price when it is not.

Just received a pair of boots ordered for my wife. The shoes had definitely been worn before. The leather was scuffed and the soles dirty. Selling used items as new is absolutely unacceptable. Am tempted to contact NY Consumer

At first glance this website seems a dream come true and I guess if I had read the reviews before ordering something from this website I would just have decided not to... Well I've learned my lesson and never again...
1. Order 2 dresses in early May did not received it till late June
2. Dresses were way to big than advertised
3. I cannot exchange the items to a smaller size
4. I cannot get a refund store credit only
5. Brand names...? Quality Low the only high quality are the price tags
6. Paid for shipping & handling...(endless is Free shipping, arrives within 2-3 business days and we can receive a full refund for any item)
Yes I would not recommend this site to anyone unless you don't mind the above...

Honestly? There are bound to be mishaps with businesses - many, I'm sure, post these deals without proper resources to actually fulfill orders. But when sh-t happens, Groupon is actually really dependable where it concerns prompt replies and refunds.
I've had several experiences where vendors will cancel last minute or not honor a coupon. And the incidence rate is much lower than sh-t sites like KGB Deals, Lifebooker Loot, and the like.
For me, two thumbs up.

Groupon customer service sucks big time, they will always deflect issues to merchants or delivery agents. Even when a request to cancel an order within 5 min of ordering when I found that I need to pay for delivery charges, they claim it cannot be done.
There are some good deals but buy at own risk and you can forget about getting any decent service from them.

Groupon charges advertisers so much that in the end it's not worth it. Customers buying certificates pay up front only to find out offer is very limited or has expired. I would avoid Groupon and look for other savings from local vendors.
