I like ideeli. The items are always sent out on time and the dates of shipment are clearly listed when ordering. Yes, sometimes orders take weeks but you can't complain because the dates of shipment for each item are listed under the price. It is up to the buyer if they want to wait that long. Ive found some great deals and some good quality pieces, everything has arrived new and in nice red wrapping paper. I had a few issues which were easily resolved by talking to a customer service rep. They're $9.95 monthly shipping charge is very fair if your a frequent shopper, however I wish they offered 2 shipping options, a one time $5.95 or monthly 9.95---that would be awesome! Also, sometimes they advertise red sales but the items I recognize from earlier in the month and at the same full price, I find this deceptive. But I do realize ideeli needs to make $, just dont advertise it as a red or closeout price when it is not.
We were so excited my husband was given this as a birthday gift…. The extra expenses have been ridiculous… extra $100 each to fly out from Brisbane… extra costs to sit together on flight… car hire for 3 days cause a very basic motel is not near city, beach, etc…. We were not honoured any of our three Friday and Saturday night options… had to fly out on a Thursday… taking away our income (haven't even gone and down $1060)… gosh I hope our bottom of the peeking order destination is worth it!
I ordered a nice dress for homecoming on July 29 and got it today, August 9th. The time it took to get here was great! However the box was badly beaten up and dented and the dress... first it was wayyyy darker than the picture on ideeli showed. Things were hanging by threads and the hanger was broken. Needless to say, I am returning it tomorrow and hoping to get store credit. I will use up my store credit if I get it and never go back to ideeli again.
I purchased a groupon for 1 Man-Pedi from a salon called Essentials of Eton Street Nail Studio Dec. 2/10. I called within a couple of weeks to make an appointment and was told they were booked for at least 2 MONTH and had to put my name on a wait list. I finally called them the beginning of March (after never hearing back) and made an appt. For March 16/11. The day of the appointment my cars battery dies. I called the salon and was told that I had forfeited the groupon due to the required 24 hour cancellation notice. I e-mailed the owner and was told "too bad". She offered to the man/pedi if I paid an extra $15 because she was only getting paid $15 by groupon.
I ordered a pair of shoes, and I paid for 2 days delivery. It was shipped on the 28th and on the tracking record, it will be delivered on the 1st -end of the day. Is this 2 days? Please true to your promise. If you can't deliver it on time, don't charge clients for speedy delivery.
FYI: this will not improve your sales. To the management, you need to look into matter, if you want business improve your system of delivery.
Tip for consumers:
Speedy delivery in a sense is not speedy.
I've never had a groupon that wasn't honored or shipped to me relatively quickly with good confirmation dialogue sent to me. Better than some other daily deal sites which have been horrendous to deal with *coughtipprcough*
Their customer service has deteriorated puchased a groupon 4 days ago that I cannot use and they refuse to honor a refund, have to do a claim with BBB and my bank. You cannot get a real person on the phone and the supervisor Trevor has a "welp youre out of luck" kind of attitude. Just stay away from this website and save yourself the headache
The worst company I have ever had dealing with.
Sold us a vowcher cancelled by the seller. We contacted the seller who advised they have told groupon to stop selling this vowcher as ther are over subscribed.
Woprdt customer service I have ever come across, completely ignorant of customer care, and oblivious to the fact that this was a cancellation by the seller and refused to give us a refund, pretty much saying that the credit was as good as we was going to get.
They then asked that we contact ther reseller and get them to confirm to groupon that they cancelled the vowcher, so that we could then email groupon to confirm this.
SO BEWARE, you may have to do all the donkey work to get a refund as Groupon do not want to confirm that their sellers a valid or are actually offering the product groupon are selling.
Never rely on Groupon's Customer Service. Cause they will never make a refund. They don't care if it was your mistake or not. Even if you have never redeemed you groupon. They don't care. They call it "CUSTOMER SUPPORT".
Iam a long standing good customer but having bought some palms realised they were not the ones advertised customer services told me to get in touch with the company who are in the netherlands tried but didnt suceed for over a month i have sent them many emails but to no avail been a long good standing customer.
If you don't return stuff which may be broken in the box - within 14 days - you are told to pound sand. No warranty - nothing. (FINE PRINT).
Sorry - but sometimes I don't get to using stuff the MINUTE I GET IT.
Aweful customer service. Shop elsewhere.
I had a problem with a Gropon purchase, and I tried to talk to customer service. It is only online, they were not able to help me, and I lost the money. I kept asking them to explain what they could do, and they went back to try to get me to deal with the local businesses, which were not able to assist me since it was a groupon. This is the second time that Groupon has not been able to assist me. I canceled the app, and I will never buy anything with Groupon. I did not save money; I actually lost the money and needed to buy the deal at a regular price since I promised my kids to go kayaking. Sad, but for last time.
On or around April 28th 2023, we purchased 3 groupons. Our credit card was charged on May 1st. We did not receive the groupons. We tried to contact Groupon on May 6th as we were planning on using the product the next day. We tried to contact the company via email on the website and also tried calling them on 3 different phone numbers. The phone numbers were useless and they have not responded to the email. Anyone have an idea how we can get a refund, as we never received an order number.
The restaurant honored my groupon, but groupon did not. I redeemed the groupon and the appointed time for a restaurant. The server tried to redeem the groupon from my phone, but it said it was already redeemed! It was $20 for $40. So, if it was already redeemed, I should just get the $40, right? WRONG! All I got was the purchase price back. It wasn't the restaurant's fault because they spent 15 mins at the table trying to redeem it. It was the faulty app groupon made that redeemed coupon 20 mins before I got to the restaurant. Groupon is all fun and savings before they mess up. Don't even try to deal with their customer service. If you spent hundreds on a groupon (like a Groupon Getaway), just go straight to you state's consumer protection agency. "Doesn't get any worse than this. Stay away!" It's just not worth the risk.
I have been a shopper with Hautelook for what feels like forever, however, i decided to try ideeli.com just for a change.
I ordered something online on the 8th of April, i received an shipment email on the 17th and the money subsequently debited from my account on the 18th. It is now the 28th, UPS say they delivered the package to a post office in the next county on the 22nd to be delivered to me via USPS as requested by ideeli. I still have not received the package. I emailed ideeli.com customer service twice to no response despite their 24 hour response promise, i then resorted to their online chat as no telephone number is listed. Customer representative Jessica informed me that as i have not received the package a claim would be made which will take a further 5 days, i just hope i get fully refunded and not given store credit. Considering the error is on their end i would like to be given the choice to shop there again instead of pushy store credit.
Hi Emma,
Thanks, again, for reaching out to us via Live Chat regarding your package. As you mentioned, we have opened up a UPS claim to investigate and locate your shipment. This investigation can take up to five business days to be completed, and we will e-mail you with an update as soon as possible.
I truly appreciate your patience as we work to resolve this, Emma, and can assure you that we will work to make this right. In addition, if you have any specific questions in the interim, please feel free to private message me and I'd be happy to further assist. Thanks again.

Well for this christmas I wanted to buy a keychain that says a name on it. And groupon said it was $5 so I bought it and guess what? It was a code! $5 dollars for a code? HELL NO! So I had to go to another online store to buy the keychain and input the promotional code. The keychain was $20 and the code took off the price but not the tax and shipping, in the end it was $7.65 when I went to checkout. But want to know how much I spent? Like 12 damn dollars! That's the last time I buy from groupon. To purchase a stupid code... A CODE!? Get out of here. "Save 90% off" What lies... I saved like 50% off! I WANT 90% NOT 50% YOU STUPID GROUPON WEBSITE! I do not recommend groupon at all!
I purchased thru Groupon a vacation package Tour of Bangkok, Hong Kong, and Dubai with Airfare for my family and 2 weeks after we purchased it we were informed by the Tour Operator that the travel dates have changed and they can not honor the dates we purchased the tour for.
I am trying to get my money back and keep going back and forth between the tour operator and Groupon. No one is seems to own the issue and willing to help!
Today i did my first order. At first i saw i got 20% off and free shipping when i added selected items to cart. After several time " continue shopping " and went ahead to check out, i couldn't see any offer, even 10% off. I tried shopping again and again. But i still got any offer, even 10% off. I felt confused. WHAT HAPPEND?

PATHETICCC... groupon is the worlds most F**kALL site. They are scamming people. Their distribution network is extremly pathetic. They never refund your money and take you for a ride with a stupid excuse "our servers were down" "our net wasnt working" "our office dog ate the computer wires" thats how lame they are... screw you groupon and your services... i hope someday a better company will buy you off for peanuts and take a $#*! on your agreement papers...
Tip for consumers:
DONT BUY FROM THIS SITE IF YOU HAVE'NT SEEN GOD....
I ordered a package on the 9th of December and it said that it would arrive on the 15th. It didn't arrive and I patiently waited checking my tracker and my emails only to find that once I contacted FedEx that the package was shipped back to the sender because they had difficulty finding my address. Not only did they not inform me that the package was returned to sender (complete b. S.) I contacted them and I can't receive the package before Christmas. One would think that a company as big as Groupon could handle package problems. I will not be purchasing products through Groupon any longer. -Thanks for ruining Christmas.
I had a problem with a merchant and it was not resolved. I booked an eyelash extension and when I arrived at "Narotique Spa" they did not follow my scheduled appointment time and I waited 20min without complaining. Then they said they could start the service but they would need to interrupt the service for 40 minutes to attend another client who was not from Groupon, had no scheduled appointment, but who they "needed" to attend to. I told them that was unacceptable after I had been waiting for 20 minutes. They told me to reschedule or ask Groupon for a refund.
I called Groupon and told them that I did everything that is in the Groupon policy but the Groupon attendant said that was not possible to refund my money back directly but that she could give me Groupon bucks. I don't want Groupon bucks because I don't want to buy anything else for Groupon if this is the businesses you are representing and how you treat your customers.

I've been to a number of restaurants with a friend who uses groupons, and they're NEVER worthwhile.
First, the day is almost always limited to Mon-Thu - that's not too bad, though, as that's at least made clear up front. However, it is also almost always the case that the menu offerings are restricted (in ways often not made clear) and that, when all is said and done, we'd have been better-to-much-better off, in terms of real value, NOT using the groupon.
IN PARTICULAR: Keep in mind that, since you've essentially paid beforehand, the restaurant has much the upper hand in terms of what it decides to dole out in the way of value. For example, we used a groupon for a 'tasting menu'. Although we paid $65 each, the portions were ridiculously small, and it was completely clear from the menu and from the people around us that we'd gotten a pretty lousy deal.
Tip for consumers:
don't use groupon for restaurants that are anything more than a cheap place to begin with.
Purchased A Getaway Deal, Day 1. Received Groupon almost immediately. Contacted the Deal Maker, and they asked for my number so they could return my call. All futher attempts to contact Deal Maker went straight to Voicemail. Day two same no return call. Day three contacted Groupon was informed this is normal since so many people buy the Deals and the Deal Maker becomes overwhelmed.
Was told they would contact Deal Maker and I would be contacted. Day four noyhing. Day five nothing, contacted Groupon again was told to give it another 48 hours. Day six Deal Maker called. Could not get dates I originally requested had to compromise and book a month later and only did so to not lose my original purchase since Groupon seemed reluctant to extend any refund.
WILL NEVER buy a getaway from again. BAD DEAL!
I purchased a gift certificate through Groupon. I did my research of the 3rd party and felt very comfortable with the purchase. When I entered my groupon code I then was made aware that it was only a discount card and not a gift certificate which I purchased. I attempted to contact Groupon via phone and they do accept phone calls. I then attempted to contact them via live chat agent and found that Groupon is never online. I filed a complaint with the Groupon and a Zander L responded. They would not refund me and they would not provide a contact # or a last name of who I was speaking with. Only Zander L which is the most made up name ever. Groupon will rip you off bottom line. I have filed a fraud charge with my bank and reported them to the BBB. I will never do business with them again.
On 12/15/16 I puchased 2 tactical flashlights from GroupOn. It is 12/20/16 my items still have not shipped and Group On posts a FedEx tracking # which is invalid and cannot be found at FedEX site. Reason it cannot be found is because GroupOn has not shipped the items. Custt Ser reps and supervisor lie and say that FedEX system is having glitches and not updated. Reps and supervisor have no authority to check when item will ship or expedite shipping. Honesty is not a priority at Group On.
Tip for consumers:
Cust rep and supervisor will not allow you to cancel the order until item has not been delivered within 7 business days. Simply call the credit card co and place item in dispute. Group On will have to show proof of shipping item which they cannot do.
I received a gift from a relative for Groupon. I could not redeem the gift by the code. I spent 3 days trying to resolve the issue. I was told the person that purchased the gift needed to contact. She had no success either. We asked for a phone number and I was told they don't presently have that. I asked for the CEO's address and they couldn't give me that. I googled the CEO phone number and address. The phone was constantly busy. I tried the chat and they were going to charge me a $1 which was refundable to solve the problem which I did not do. Who pays money to resolve an issue where I can't redeem the gift I was already given. Would not recommend that anything be purchased from Grou0pon.

They sold me a PowerBank that DOESN'T work for $15.
There are website that sell this same product for $5. You can go to www.alibaba.com and search for various items - including iphone cases, powerbank and many others. You will get to see the REAL PRICE of the product.
GroupOn buys bulk of items from China websites, including Alibaba, and resell them for 400% profit easily. But they don't check the quality of products, so you end up paying $hity product.
Ebay, China websites and Groupon says "14 day delivery" past.
Well, they put order after 1 week and deliver in 1 week, so there goes the 14 DAYS RETURN after PURCHASE!
Are you $#*!ing kidding me?
Groupon is the largest "daily deal" site, selling vouchers for discounted local experiences and services such as restaurants and spas, as well as travel packages, shopping, and a number of other items. Vouchers are purchased upfront and typically must be redeemed by a certain date, after which time Groupons expire. To businesses Groupon markets itself as a way to drive new customers. Groupon is a public company (NASDAQ: GRPN) and is based in Chicago, IL.
