For exactly 120 for a couples massage was not reflected on my account. I contacted groupon and gave them the order number in question as well as screenshots of my confirmation email. Instead of inquiring on the issue they refunded a second groupon voucher I bought for a movie ticket in the amount of 26.45 when I paid 29.45 and skipped out on paying my 3 additional dollars. When I contacted them a third time, my email was blocked. I would have been fine calling and explain this issue but there is no customer service number. Beware of the bs. Groupon is sketchy.
We were so excited my husband was given this as a birthday gift…. The extra expenses have been ridiculous… extra $100 each to fly out from Brisbane… extra costs to sit together on flight… car hire for 3 days cause a very basic motel is not near city, beach, etc…. We were not honoured any of our three Friday and Saturday night options… had to fly out on a Thursday… taking away our income (haven't even gone and down $1060)… gosh I hope our bottom of the peeking order destination is worth it!
Nothing much to say but this sight is legitimate and your guaranteed good products and speedy delivery within a week. Only downside is some product are on and off the next day.
Groupon has a ridiculous policy of sales thresholds for merchants. Once a threshold is met in a 30 day period, the merchant's account gets put on suspension so that groupon can "review" the account and the if they so choose take the account off of hold. For merchants that have a good number of sales this suspension period can happen more than once a month - so the products are blocked during this time resulting in Zero product sales for the merchants and likely search engine indexing is affected negatively. So groupon in their non- business like manner punishes merchants who's sales are strong by suspending the accounts for a review. Pretty asinine. Have the people who created that ridiculous policy ever owned a business or are they wet behind the ears, snotty nose lads with no comprehension of actually doing business in the real world? I Hope Lou Dobbs or Stuart Varney pick up on this screwball groupon policy and report it worldwide to make potential vendors on groupon aware and be for warned that when their sales due well, your products will be blocked so groupon can "review" your booth.
I tried this once and found the service I bought was actually just a come on to get me to sign up for other services
Maybe it works for some people sometimes
Awesome site with so many sales on great restaurants, vacations, good and much, much more. Anything you could think of could be found at an affordable price and is delivered as described.
I ordered a t-shirt on the 30th of November giving it plenty of time to be delivered for Christmas, its now January 1st and the item still hasn't been delivered, can't get in touch with them over the phone due to constant busy lines and being put on hold so being forced to deal with a man over email that keeps stating delivery dates which never seem to arrive, I wouldn't recommend ordering from them unless you just want to throw your money away
Very good deals, I am following this website all the time, and it is really nice to see that there is actually website who is giving what they offer, no scam! Thanks
I love this site, has so many deals its fabulous... dining out, custom wallets, fun adventures, I even have my kids scouring for fun things to do on a budget. Great site.
I have read several posts stating that Groupon is selling scam items etc. WELL as a business owner that did a run with Groupon let me tell you - IT IS WORSE THAN THAT! They are running specials and collecting money for items and goods they DON'T EVEN HAVE TO SELL YOU! They did this with my product line! I did a small run in August 2013. At best they could have only had 2 extra bottles. In December I was contacted by a consumer saying they had purchased but then Groupon cancelled the order -? I filled the order for her but had no idea what it was all about. More recently I logged into my merchant dashboard to discover that they had offered the special again this April selling 131 units - all refunded after 30 - 60 days. THEY HAD NO CONTRACT AND NO AUTHORIZATION TO DO THIS - NOR DID THEY HAVE THE PRODUCT ON HAND TO SELL. This is out and out fraud and you can be I will be pursing this matter legally. DO NOT DEAL WITH GROUPON!
I invited my sister to Groupon and she made two purchases right away. Groupon rejected the invitation so I didn't automatically get the $10 reward. I contacted customer service and they initially refused to give me the reward because we share a name. The customer service guy didn't believe that we are two people, but he did eventually give me the reward after many emails back and forth. He was rude throughout our exchanges, and gave me a sour view of Groupon's customer service process. He never apologized for wasting my time with all the emails, when I had done nothing wrong as a customer.
We won't be using Groupon anymore after the hassle they gave us as new customers. What happened to their policy to trust the customer? "We never want to be at war with our customers, so we're taking it in the other direction. More freedom for our customers. More trust." from http://www.groupon.com/blog/cities/the-groupon-promise/. The deals are good, but now I don't trust Groupon's shady money-saving tactics.
They will CANCEL offers and never tell you they've been cancelled, hoping you'll never try to redeem. But if you DO try to redeem the offer you spent your MONEY on, and find out it's been CANCELLED, GROUPON will NOT give you your money back, instead they'll give you precious Groupon BUCKS which are almost as good as actual money, you can certainly take Groupon bucks to the grocery store and buy FOOD with it, oh wait, nope. GROUPON IS USELESS and a SCAM business, they bank on bad offers so they can keep your actual money and return it with their own useless e-currency. DO NOT BUY FROM GROUPON! Oh, ps, they called me "unprofessional" for saying they were wasting my time (true) and asking stupid questions that should already be in the order (true).
We found this company is deceitful and a scam. The promotion was to carpet clean three rooms and a hallway for 59.00. We paid for the group on and then scheduled the cleaning. When scheduling we responded to them that we have no pet issues; just dirt spots in high traffic areas. Before the person would clean out carpets he brought in his black light and found spots along the baseboard. We know our cat does not urinate in the house so he decided my daughter's dog must have done it (even though he says it could have been other proteins, and my daughter's dog does not raise her leg nor in urinate in houses). He refused to clean our carpet, though he had our money, unless we paid an additional 90 dollars to "treat" these spots. There were no visible spots, no smells, and no need to hunt with his backlight when we said there are no issues. When I complained to the office in Denver, the secretary was rude and the manager never called me back. They think they are honest and justified with their practices since there is a statement in the fine print. They will either keep your money and not clean your carpet as advertised or you have to pay this ridiculous extra fee for a service not needed.
Well I just got a package today from Amazon. I want to properly thank Cynthia Northup for the items that she purchased from our wishlist. I want able to find Cynthia Northup in any groups that I posted in. So if Cynthia Northup sees this post, I want to properly thank you for your donation.
Always a great bargain and tremendous bang for your buck! Customer service is exceptional and they are a pleasure to do business with. I highly recommend.
I cannot believe how bad the Groupon service has been and I can't believe they still have customers!? I have been trying for 3 WEEKS to get a deal featured on Groupon and despite how many emails, calls, live chats, Facebook comments, whatever I have left with them, THEY HAVE NEVER GOT BACK TO ME. I am offering them business and they've totally left me in the dark and are ignoring everything I send. I have called numerous times and had numerous emails ignored or just replied with an automated message that has no relevance to my initial email!? Terrible service, never looking at Groupon again.
Not trusted, selling cobones that are not accepted by merchants, and their customer service is useless, not helpful at all, a complete rip off, be aware.
I bought wine and if they charged my credit card and I never received my wines I have tried to recover my money back and it always sends me to other pages I have wasted a lot of time in groupon very bad application I do not recommend it
Used their site while visiting Hawaii islands. Gave me a golf course on another island when it said it was near me. Tried to get a refund and refused after we paid and discovered wrong island.
Tip for consumers:
Double check everything and all small print

Ideeli sold me a voucher for custom artwork that did not work and they are refusing to refund me. "You have requested for a refund yesterday, December 28,2011. Unfortunately, our accounting team refused to honor the request. As per their advise, you have the entire year to use the voucher but only decided to use recently. We will contact canvaspress.com for you and arrange a week or two extension for you voucher but a refund will no longer be an option." DID THEY NOT UNDERSTAND THAT AN EXTRA 2 WEEKS MEANS NOTHING IF THE VOUCHER DOESN'T WORK! Nothing but the run-around from their inept customer service department...
I was charged twice for the same item, contacted customer service-spoke to Karen and was told I would receive my refund. After not receiving it I reached out again to customer service, never received a call within 24 or 48 hours and instead was sent an email stating I had not contacted within 2 hours of purchase and would not receive a refund. All a lie since I had in fact contacted within 2 minutes of being charged twice for the same order. I have spent hundreds with Groupon but that ends today. I will delete the app and share my experience with ANYONE THAT IS WILLING TO LISTEN!
I bought a Groupon for Chicago Line Cruises last Thursday as a gift for a friend to use this Monday with her friends from Sweeden who go back home on Tuesday.
My friend received the email with the voucher but no Order Code. I immediately contact Groupon.com and their poor Overseas Customer service kept telling me that the problem would be solved in 48 hours. 48-hours later I still have no code and they keep telling me they are on it and do not understand I need the code in the next hour otherwise I cannot use it. I feel Groupon is irresponsible and borderline thieves as they charged my credit card on Thursday and I have no merchandise or service voucher for my money. Their practices ARE UNACCEPTABLE
I have one word for ideeli.com... APpALLING... ApPaLLING... APPaLLiNG, APpalLING... APPAlling,... ApPAlling...(sombody stop me)... appaLLING... APPALLing... A,,,, P... P... A,,,, L,,,, L... i... N... G...! Ahaaa that feels better.
I am not a picky fellow by any means. I am patient. I ordered a pyle hd smart projector. Thought it would be fun or a dream come true to watch movies on a big screen. Little did I know that it would be a nightmare. Groupon has the worst customer service I've ever experienced in my life. I've worked for all kinds of companies big and small and groupon is worse then any phone service provider and that says a lot. I ordered it on may 18. No answer. Limbo. I wait. Everytime I would message it was someone else answering who didn't even remotely know the situation. June 6th no action taken I message again. One of their employees rakes it upon themselves to cancel my order and refund me. I never was asked or approved this... told me to wait 10 days for refund... 10 additional days on top of the 20? To not get what I ordered? I then called support. Which sounded like some guy in his living room with his family. Explained situation he would put me on hold without telling me I was on hold which left me to repeat and repeat not to mention his English was awful. Groupon shame on you
I have ordered a pair of curtains the 18th of October, they have been dispached the 19thof October, but today I still need to receive the item. Groupon itself can't find the tracking number, neither the shipping company. I have called already 4 times, and I have asked to simply have a refund, the answer has been no, they have to follow the escalation process, this means 5 working days after the item has been dispached, 10 working days after the first 5 working day, and finally after this, and just if I call them, they will process my refund that will take others 7 working days! Great service, professional people, amazing business.
I have several issues with the seat and not all of them are their fault.
1. I have purchased several groupon vouchers that I did not end up using, I
Thought I had plenty of time when as time went buy I forgot about them and
Since they expired there was no refund.
2. All the spa treatments I purchased were bogus, they raised prices and gave
You less of a treatment if you had a GO.
3. Many times I have had excessively long waiting periods to get appointments,
If I had paid for the treatments I could get in within a few weeks.
4. Many of the vendors have shown a lack of appreciation for GO customers.
Id rather get a negotiate my own discount then buy a GO so i can get proper service. I had a vendor tell me that with GO they only get. 25 for very $1.00 because. 50 goes to GO and the rest is their cost. What business can survive long like that, no wonder some are a little snappy.
On a positive note buying vouchers that can be manipulated because everyone gets the same thing no matter what they pay (restaurants, haircuts tours etc...)are good deals assuming you use them.
Groupon is the largest "daily deal" site, selling vouchers for discounted local experiences and services such as restaurants and spas, as well as travel packages, shopping, and a number of other items. Vouchers are purchased upfront and typically must be redeemed by a certain date, after which time Groupons expire. To businesses Groupon markets itself as a way to drive new customers. Groupon is a public company (NASDAQ: GRPN) and is based in Chicago, IL.
