For exactly 120 for a couples massage was not reflected on my account. I contacted groupon and gave them the order number in question as well as screenshots of my confirmation email. Instead of inquiring on the issue they refunded a second groupon voucher I bought for a movie ticket in the amount of 26.45 when I paid 29.45 and skipped out on paying my 3 additional dollars. When I contacted them a third time, my email was blocked. I would have been fine calling and explain this issue but there is no customer service number. Beware of the bs. Groupon is sketchy.
We were so excited my husband was given this as a birthday gift…. The extra expenses have been ridiculous… extra $100 each to fly out from Brisbane… extra costs to sit together on flight… car hire for 3 days cause a very basic motel is not near city, beach, etc…. We were not honoured any of our three Friday and Saturday night options… had to fly out on a Thursday… taking away our income (haven't even gone and down $1060)… gosh I hope our bottom of the peeking order destination is worth it!
I purchased several items, including everything for my wife on our anniversary and other weekend entertainment (spas, dinner, after diner entertainment, home services, etc.). After spending over $400 for items, we tried to use the merchandise and services purchased. My account was deleted by Groupon, they did not have any record of my purchases, and refused to research or provide refunds. Even a partial refund could have been ok. On one occasion, we went to use our "tickets" for an outdoor activity and discovered that the company did not have any records of our purchase. We did try to use our items several times before the expiration date without success. We called customer service several times and on each call Groupon stated that we did not have an account even after we provided all information, including credit card receipts and confirmation from Groupon. Groupon insisted that we NEVER used their services, regardless of the confirmation emails received from Groupon. Groupon only stated that we did not have an account and if we did purchase, we did not use by the expiration date. They are making money by stealing from their customers.
Group on is Horrible and Shady, Don't work with them if you are a business. They won't return calls or create a campaign that is mutually beneficial. Horrible customer service. Shady fine print
Do your research on any company that you may consider purchasing a Groupon with. Some of the companies have horrible customer service and Groupon is unable to support any issues that may occur.
This is the worst possible service EVER, if I could give it less then -100 I would! Very unhelpful customer service, you wait on the phone hours and then they hang up, deals are a scam. They hold your refund then give excuses. If you're the type to do research and take advice before buying something from a site then take mine DO NOT BUY FROM THIS SITE!

There is no way to reach them except for chat and emails which is slow, cumbersome and ineffective. I've been promised hat a manager will follow-up multiple times, only to get no correspondence.
Support asks impractical questions such as last purchase and amount--all information within their portal that they closed all of access to. Support claims the deactivation was due to fraud, but if that is a legitimate basis why not notify the consumer for their protection, or return the money they received/took from my account transactions/purchases if they feel they were fraudulently placed?
I have had Groupon for years and they made the arbitrary decision irresponsibility to close my account. Thus is theft, and taking great advantage of unknowing customers. This is poor service, seemingly a deliberate act of dedperatio by a declining comoany. And a Deceptive practice. Groupon needs to be investigated to uncover the scope of this and to see who authorized this practice. A class action suit may slso be warranted to compensate victims.

I bought 2 ultimate date nights and they sold me a used code. It took 2 houors to finally talk to someone who then told me they cannot resole it they ha to email someone else about it. It was great to browse the website after receiving emails about their "sales." A lot of the clothing seemed a little expensive when you consider that a lot of it is not returnable, despite not being able to try it on. Then there was an offer for a two-month membership in a wine club, that would yield 6 bottles of wine for $79, so I decided to try it. Turned out, that club didn't deliver to MA, where I live. I contacted them and they said I needed to get the refund from Ideeli.
Upon my first request, about two months ago, I got an apology and a promise of a refund within 5 days. No refund was ever posted to my account. I have wasted much precious time sending more messages to their customer service, including two "live chats," with no result. The last "chat" received a response that I would be contacted again within 24 hours, only that was over a week ago.
No company should be allowed to (1) misrepresent an item as for sale if one cannot receive it in the state from which it is ordered. The original ad should have listed the states where the company will deliver, and (2) ignore a reasonable request for a refund. It's not that I didn't like the wine, it's that I never received any! I wouldn't buy anything from this company!
I have used this site to add a little excitement to life, so far it has saved me money skydiving, buying gifts for family and friends and has helped make amazing savings possible.

I went to buy a getaway and had it in my cart and then proceeded to push the purchase button I got an SOLD OUT ERROR. How could it be sold out, when its already in my cart?
So I called customer service and the first lady I talked to was rude, then I spoke with a manager named Lindsey and she was even worse making a joke out of my situation.

I tried changing my email address on the Groupon website, and it wouldn't allow me to. Somehow I get Groupon emails to all three of my addresses, so when I wanted to change to one of the other two addresses. I started a live chat with "Jackson B", who would not listen to my issue, did not read my responses and so kept asking me questions I had already answered, and would not check in (let me know he was working on it). 1) WHY can't I email a complaint or issue directly to Groupon? There is not email address available to customers (but there is for press and vendors), and 2) WHY is their chat help so SUCKY?
They flat out lie and false advertise - it's all about getting your money. For this past Christmas we ordered 3 items on the mobile site. We were supposed to get "free shipping for orders over $34.99" but they split the order into three separate orders and charged shipping for each one. When I saw the charges and questioned them they said the mobile site/app doesn't support the shopping cart yet so I cannot "bundle" the 3 orders into one an had to pay shipping for each. They also advertised shipping in 2 days. That's a lie. Sent me tracking info in two days but all it kept saying was "en route" for the DHL number and USPS tracking number simply stated Not Found. When I asked about that, I was assured my items were on the way. 11 days later they show up in a location just 1 hour from where they were being shipped. I think they mark it shipped to avoid having you cancel the order.
I intend to file a complaint with the states attorney, I already reported to BBB but they don't seem too interested in doing anything about it.

I purchased an office chair from Overstock at great price. It is underwhelming and putting it together was an exercise in patience. The holes for the screws were not aligning very cheap material.
Groupon honestly has the most incompetent and unhelpful customer service I have ever dealt with and I have probably bought things online at least 500+ times. I ordered something and after 5 days had not received any tracking information so I reached out to support and received a generic "email us again in a few days" response. 3 days later, no update, so I email again. Another generic "we will forward this to our support team" copy and paste email. I thought I was in contact with the support team? Anyway... I email them back and reach out on twitter because no one is responding. Next day I get another great copy and paste email basically saying "we are trying to figure out what's going on." FIVE DAYS LATER, now 2 weeks since I placed the order (keep in mind that the fine print said the purchase was supposed to be delivered within 7 days), I receive another email from customer service saying that there is "good news" and they have found my order and then some copy and paste nonsense about how I can find the tracking information (as if I hadn't been checking it every day) and how I can return my order if I am unsatisfied due to the delay... Of course I'm not going to return it after I had to go through hell to get it. No mention of the (at least partial) refund I asked for too. I am definitely planning to file with Better Business Bureau. 2 weeks to get tracking info when the purchase itself was supposed to arrive within 7 days? And I still don't have it? Unbelievable.
Bought a solar like that I installed when I finally got time which was about 4 months later. It worked for 3 weeks and died. They won't even replace it because it was more than 14 days! Bullcrap!
What a load of cr*p, I have only used groupon to buy 3 purchases. One was a Sage course that I half completed and on day I logged in to finish the rest of the course only to find out that I had to start it all again hours of work lost! The 2nd ourchase was a steam mop and that had to be returned due to it being faulty. 3rd purchase was some super soakers 3 weeks after purchasing them I get an email from groupon advising me that they have cancelled the order due to their error. So groupon have refunded what I have paid them but now I have to chase the company that is selling them for my p&p. I rang groupon and they're advising me that they have not sent such an email WTF?!?!?
Seriously I agree with the comments below, they look like really good deals because of the % of saving but realistically you are not really saving anything. They're cheaper deals if you surf the internet. If you are going to purchase anything from groupon then do your research first!

The return policy of the site is awful! I bought the item (in its description was mentioned - unreturnable) BUT! They have sent me a wrong size. Customer service representative told me to sent it back by their prepaid shipping label. Thanks God I did not have problem with it! HOWEVER! The site DOES NOT SEND YOUR MONEY BACK TO YOUR CREDIT CARD! THEY PUT IT ON THEIR CREDIT for your further purchases! Unbelievable! I never got this kind of experience with this site before. Now I will think twice to buy something from them!

I purchased 2 groupons for pretty pricey facials at a luxurious hotel for a vacation. The "facials" were horrible which consisted of someone rubbing their coughed up hands on my face and neck with no product for about 45 minutes... therefore, I asked the hotel if I could get a refund and they were 100% on board. Groupon refuses to refund me after they had the hotel authorize in writing that they agree to the refund and made me go through many obstacles to get them everything they requested... I have bought stuff on Groupon for years, and their service which used to be great has 100% deteriorated. Well, there is no service. Their "customer service" seems to be in another country with people who hardly speak English and just repeat the same lines over and over again without caring about anything, and typing while they talk to you. And the "supervisors" do the same on the phone or email. It's horrible. It is fraud - they sell you something you don't receive... and they don't care. Since my complaint, they added this language to their spa vouchers "Merchant is solely responsible to purchasers for the care and quality of the advertised goods and services." I suppose it's their way to get away with this moving forward. But my voucher was before they added this language. Basically if you buy a Groupon now, you're buying at your own risk as customer service is pretty much non-existent. And the risk is not worth the potential savings. If you call the companies Groupon works with directly they will often honor the same Groupon rate. It's much better to deal directly with the companies.
I purchased an item in groupon wich i never received. They advice me to pay again and told me that they would process the refund for the first purchase and it wouldnt take more than 10 business days. So i did it. This time i got the item, but never got the refund. I contacted them in several ocations and they blamed it on the bank, it was the same account that they previously withdraw the money from. So they had all the info and i provided it again, i had no success in getting the money back. They stole me $164. I submitted a formal complaint in a goverment website. Dont recomend to purchase from this website at all. Be really careful!
Bought from ideeli several times - the stuff is nice online, but the quality isn't great for the price. Got a plain cotton shirt for 19 dollars + 10 dollars shipping, to find out after a few washes that it shrank to a baby tee and lint/pills all over, now it looks like a rag, and i only wore it about 3x. And is there a reason why the shipping is 10 dollars flat fee? Compared to Jcrew and other retailers, I would not shop on ideeli.com any longer. Only had to buy something from there is because I bought a bunch of stuff, which wasn't what i expected so I had to return it (and paid extra return shiping) and had a running credit. Bleech..

I have worked with Groupon on a few purchases, and was never impressed by their customer service. Any goods purchased always take longer than the anticipated time. My most recent purchase was not even noticed as shipped until over 2 WEEKS after I played my order, and now I have to wait an additional week to two weeks to receive it. If you experience any problems with vendors, good luck trying to get any semblance of REAL customer service. I purchased a restaurant Groupon that was marked as "Best of 2012" and the restaurant went out of business before I could even redeem the Groupon! On the restaurant's site, it even directs us to contact the discount site to be issued a refund and when I contacted Groupon about it, I get a one sentence reply that they will not be issuing a refund. No explanation. No regard for their reputation as a company that sells a product that they can't even guarantee the customer that they can use. There's a reason Groupon business has decreased, and I will gladly be taking my business to Groupon's competitors.
