For exactly 120 for a couples massage was not reflected on my account. I contacted groupon and gave them the order number in question as well as screenshots of my confirmation email. Instead of inquiring on the issue they refunded a second groupon voucher I bought for a movie ticket in the amount of 26.45 when I paid 29.45 and skipped out on paying my 3 additional dollars. When I contacted them a third time, my email was blocked. I would have been fine calling and explain this issue but there is no customer service number. Beware of the bs. Groupon is sketchy.

We were so excited my husband was given this as a birthday gift…. The extra expenses have been ridiculous… extra $100 each to fly out from Brisbane… extra costs to sit together on flight… car hire for 3 days cause a very basic motel is not near city, beach, etc…. We were not honoured any of our three Friday and Saturday night options… had to fly out on a Thursday… taking away our income (haven't even gone and down $1060)… gosh I hope our bottom of the peeking order destination is worth it!

I know what the motto supposed to be for Groupon site- TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE.
Every time I purchase something from them, I am disappointed!
Spa procedure from advertised $45 becoming $ 120, botox- from $ 129 to $ 400 (without later touch up, because of Groupon discount), etc
My latest purchase was face cream- Diamond 24K, bla-bla-bla MSRP price- $500!, on Groupon- $ 39.90. Got it yesterday. OMG! It does not cost even $5! Poor package with unclear printing on it, broken lid, some old-look and smell consistence inside
And not-returnable, because of DISCOUNT!
NEVER AGAIN!

Ordered the wrong phone Apple IPHONE 6S instead of 6S Plus for my Son. Realized this 48 hours before product shipped, contacted Groupon, they said they could not stop the shipment. Received the Phone followed explicit directions to return Phone (did not even open box). They WILL NOT REFUND YOU YOUR MONEY, BECAUSE YOU USED PAYPAL?! WTF? Only get a credit. Since this was my first, it will definitely be my last Groupon order EVER!

I had a girlfriend find a spa through Groupon and following her lead I bought one too. What a waste.
The spa was amazing and the service even better.
I like it and have been back twice now. The working there liked me enough to provided me with information about Groupon and there practices. OMG nauseating when I heard about just how much Groupon takes from the business and how the spa doesn't feel any supported despite a 60% take on their services. The Groupon allows anyone to purchase and story's of some of the people's behavior is just sad especially when busines doesn't even make money from it. After hearing this I was apalled how big business Groupon takes advantage of small businesses. I will never use coupon again and encourage you not to use Groupon as it lessen the value of the businesse. Even in a pandemic small businesses are going out of business Groupon takes total advantage.
Small businesses the heart of of country is being lost to corporations like Groupon. When I call customer service no one answered. I was given through a automated message an email. Another company with no humans only email. Which did get a return response for nearly a week.
Soon I'll be getting my nail done at Amazon. Stop supporting business like these. Support minority leaders..

I love it! Here's why - it has some really genuine designer stuff, that i won't even look at otherwise, at insanely low prices - thats the bottom line.

But of-course, since nothing comes free, you have to pay for this in other ways
- it charges $10 for shipping, which, in my view, is insane
- it takes ages to reach you. But, the shipping dates are specified next to the product in your cart. And, till date, i have almost always received items before the estimated dates. There was a delay once. But i didn't mind it because ideeli gave me a $10 credit for that.
- Some of the products cannot be returned - again, this is clearly noted next to the product description
- You have only 7 days (from shipping date) to return the item - so you never buy something unless you are sure you'll keep it
-Unless you decide to pay for the membership, lost of cool stuff gets sold out before you get to it
- Your cart is not saved for more than 10 min. Hence, if you thought you could save the cart, fill it up, and then order (and save some shipping costs), it does not work

Despite all this, i have been able to get some really good stuff from there so i am going to go back. Also, in the last year, i have shopped there atleast once a month if not more. With experience, i have gotton better at using the site.

Hi Shruti: It's great to hear from you, thanks for the feedback. We recently changed the shipping policy so now it's a $10 flat fee on all of your orders throughout the day - whether you checkout one or twenty times, the shipping is always $10. Hopefully, that will free up the ten-minute timer checkout stress for you. We're so glad you've enjoyed shopping with us so far, and we welcome all questions and feedback you may have in the future; thanks for being an ideeli member!

Me and my friends booked a hotel in New York City for a weekend in April before the Covid-19 pandemic. After NY announced a state of emergency/stay-at-home order, we contacted Groupon to let them know we will be cancelling our hotel reservation. They let us know that we needed to contact the merchant (hotel) to see if they will honor the refund which they were happy to honor given NY's current state. After informing Groupon that the hotel was ok with refunding us, they then asked us to instead move our dates. After many back and forth emails with Groupon, they went back on their original word and refused to give any type of refund or credit because we had exceeded the window in which this could be processed' after 3 weeks of communication with their customer service team. Their only solution was to move our dates knowing that we are completely unsure of when it will be safe to travel to New York in the foreseeable future.
It was completely disappointing that Groupon was unwilling to work with their customers during an already confusing and difficult time. Even after the hotel was willing to work with us and agreed to provide a refund, Groupon was contradictory in their word. The inconsistency in the customer service was not only confusing but extremely frustrating.
It is very likely that I will never be using Groupon again and especially to book any hotels.

I understand the type of business ideeli is in - limited supply, long shipping windows, restrictive return policy. Get it. My order actually shipped much earlier than stated so kudos for that. Unfortunately I received the wrong dress. I am in the distribution business so I understand a lot about orders and mispulls/shorts. That being said - since this was my first order from ideeli, I've received a 100% service failure. In my business 100% service failure equals permanent loss of business.

I logged in this morning and chatted with a customer service rep who was accommodating but in my opinion you could tell they handle issues like mine all the time and this wasn't something new. (Jason - incident #*******-000138).

The return UPS label was emailed immediately (kudos again) but I still want my dress and I want ideeli to make this right. I'm eligible for a full credit card refund but I hope I receive my product. The quality assurance process is lacking and needs to be redone. I personally have a 98% operational service level with my customers and I expect nothing less from the companies I buy from. We'll see how this ends...

I am rating this site a 1 because it deceiving in it's "deals". I was all excited because I did get two really great deals from the site. So I went and purchased a few other activities advertised as half off. After I purchased I noticed on other sites the original price was actually ten dollars cheaper than my so called "half off price" I reached out to Groupon. They could not do anything about it. It was not like the advertised price was a few dollars off, it literally was complete false advertising. The original price for our seats were 39.50. We were sold our tickets at 49:50 with the information that that was half the price they were selling else where. I was unable to check at the time we purchased because they were presale tickets and you did not know you exact seat until you received your voucher. Customer service was awful. There was no help and then to top it off, I was never sent the 3 digital album downloads promised with the tickets. WORSE site ever. I had two other issues that were unresolved as well.

Tip for consumers:
do not use it. if you do check that the deal is actually a deal.

I came across this website to write a bad review for another bad hair website and wanted to add some of the fav websites I love. After reading all these bad reviews, I need to thank everyone because I learned a great deal. I'm sorry for those who experienced some bad moments, but it gives me great insight to be more careful in the future to fine prints or doing my research. To be honest, I love this website. Been using it for almost a year now (only restuarants though) and had no problems.
I also understand many of the reviewers are business owners and are stressed with all the added costs.

I did come across reading a really good idea where the consumers can have a choice to call the business directly and ask for the same discount. So say, for eg. I'm suppose to pay $10 to groupon and get a $20 certificate. The business owner can also give us the same deal. The owner will lose less since they don't need to shell out 50% of the $10 = $5 to groupon as advertising cost.

Just my second thought. Again, I really like using this website, whether I want to buy or not, just having to read all the new discounts everymorning, makes me happy. =)

As for consumers, please always read the fine prints! It really cuts down on some of the misunderstandings.

Verified purchase

I searched the Groupon website for tickets to Seattle's Space Needle and chose tickets for six people. When I attempted to purchase and entered my cc info and selected "order" the website stalled. I waited and waited and finally hit the back button and tried entering the info again. It seemed to go through but I found that I had purchased six tickets to the One World Observatory in New York! I did not search for New York and had no intention of going there. I assumed this would not be a problem and that Groupon would refund my purchase. I went through the process again - this time successfully. I asked Groupon to reverse the One World tickets but they refused. Finally, a supervisor said if I got permission from One World to refund the money they would do so. In the meantime, I went back to the successful Space Needle tickets and canceled them all as I did not want to deal with Groupon. Groupon refunded the purchase for all six.
I asked One World in writing if my money could be refunded and they responded with a very nice letter giving Groupon permission to refund the purchase. Groupon went back on their statement the charge would be reversed and refused to do so.
I filed a credit card chargeback. Groupon told Capital One that ticket sales are final and no refunds are provided. Obviously this was not true as the charge for the successful Space Needle tickets, which had the same "All sales are final" language was reversed. It simply is not right to keep money for something purchased by a consumer which they had no intention of buying or no way to use.

Just did a live chat with Berginisa N and she was of ZERO help and she hung up on me! I can't believe how misleading Groupon is and they totally will not help you if you request a refund. DO NOT PURCHASE GROUPON and expect any customer service for refunds, they will totally shoot you down like Berginisa just did to me! Will not EVER deal with Groupon anymore and will advise "BUYER BE VERY AWARE!"

I thought Groupon was a great site when I first saw it, and by rights, if it did what it said it would do, it would be fantastic. The customer gets a very reduced price when things go right.
Unfortunastely there are a number of things that seem to make this outcome very unusual rather than usual.
First, companies cheat a little and up their prices on a particular service before going to Groupon.
Secondly, and more often in my experience, the companies do not give the same treatment to Groupon users as they do to their regular customers.
For instance, a recent voucher I bought through Groupon for a stay at the Northern Serviced Apartments in Manchester. Sounded great and I bought it so I could take my wife out shopping and to eat in Manchester and then surprise her with having a lovely apartment for the night too.
Unfortunately, now I am trying to book an apartment and the hotel says email enquiries only and then don't reply to emails. So it might be a week before I know if a room is available and that will be too late.
SAD!
I know that this is not Groupons fault, but thing like this have happened in more than 50% of the coupons I have purchased through Groupon. They have taken a good idea and are slowly ruining it!
I am beginning to hate them! Probably better to go through the usual discount sites... bookings.com, laterooms etc
Seriously disappointed!

I have purchased items on Groupon and at times when I wanted to cancel the item for whatever reason the pathway to cancelling the item, also kept having a Big "VIEW VOUCHER" even after wanting to cancel the item. You have to click and give your reasons why, which is fine, but you have to meticulously ensure you don't click on the biggest thing on the screen which is "VIEW VOUCHER." And if you click on it by accident the product is yours, especially if it's after 3 days where you waited 4 days because of a long weekend for the merchant to respond.

I purchaed 3 shirts from them (three seperate orders, each with a $4.99 shipping cost), to be sent regular delivery. They sent them via courier and i had a COD of over $13.00 to pay before the goods would be released. So I had to pay to get the merchandise. My next step was to send this info (with pics of the invoice, packing slips, and receipt) to customer service to ask for a refund of the extra shipping charges.

Well, their responses are brutally slow and all they're doing is passing this off on the carrier. They're telling me to contact DHL to ask about the charges. I understand the charges. I do not understand why a "ships only within Canada" shipment is being sent to me via expedited courier when I only chose and pis for regular delivery. If they chose to increase the level of delivery service without my permission, they should pay for the increase in costs. I paid $4.99 per shirt for delivery, then another $13 for the expedited delivery. What a joke. Trying to pass this off on the courier when they're the ones who need to explain their decision making is just terrible customer service.

Groupon Goods is an absolutely terrible service. I purchased a mattress pad claiming to be memory foam, the ad for which included a photo of a memory foam mattress pad. What I received was not memory foam. It was just a thick foam mattress pad. I paid over $100 for memory foam and got run of the mill foam. I contacted Groupon and they gave me a $15 credit. I told them this did not address the false advertising, so they suggested I return the item. This still did not address the false advertising. Now they say they will "forward" the complaint to the Goods team.

Also, I decided to give Goods another shot and purchased a back car seat cover for dogs. I opened the package and the seat cover has numerous small holes, dirt spots, and dirt smudges. I sent them another complaint and a request to return the item.

If it seems to good to be true, it definitely is with Groupon Goods. Avoid them at all cost! Their products are untrustworthy, cheap, and falsely advertised. Save yourself a world of pain and go somewhere else. I've bought better quality products at the dollar store! And that is not an exaggeration.

I just found out that Ideeli has been acquired by Groupon. I had over $200 in store credit at Ideeli and called Groupon customer service today to inquire about it. Customer service said that they would escalate the situation and do some research and that it would take up to 72 hours for them to get back to me. I asked if there was a way to reach their Ideeli department directly and was told that I couldn't do that. I felt like I was given the run-around, but will give them the benefit of a doubt and wait for 72 hours to see if they respond.

I also tried to email *******@groupon.com like a previous reviewer on this site suggested and got the following error message:

Delivery to the following recipient failed permanently:

*******@groupon.com

Technical details of permanent failure:
The account *******@yahoo.com is disabled.

I just wanted to post this to help anyone else who is trying to access their Ideeli (Ideel.com) store credit. If you have any success reaching a resolution from Groupon customer service, please share your experience. Thanks!

I've been a member of this site for over 2 years now and have spent thousands of dollars, but no more. I will never make another purchase at this site. In the beginning I liked the prices and choices, but now after receiving crappy quality clothing marked as brand names and horrible customer service, I am done with this site! I bought a pair of Amrita Singh earrings for my sister for Christmas, they fell apart as she opened the package. So embarrassing! I bought a dress to wear at a wedding in one occasion, as I sitting down at the table I could hear the material ripping, again very embarrassing. I was sent the wrong size in one occasion, and turns out I have to pay for shipping when it's their fault. Then, I've had at least two friends who have purchased from the site and I was given the credit to then have the credit taken away from me because of "fraud suspicion". I've had two orders canceled where I attempted to use the credits. But if I put in a new order without using the credit, it is surprisingly not fraud. Unbelievable! I'm so sick of this company, and its horrible merchandise and customer service!

Just had Father's day celebration at House of Seafood. The food is not bad. BUT, they charge $60 per kg for their crab when the market price is only $30-$40 per kg for popular restaurants. The service personnel when took order says crab is 1.2 kg to 1.4kg.

OK $60 per kg, let see! When the crab came to the table it looks less then 1kg. We took 2 crabs in two flavours and the bill for Crab came up to $170 just for under weight crab. Please don't also fall for their Groupon tricks, at $60 per kg after Groupon discount is $30 per kg, then they don't weigh the crab and over charge you. Come to SQUARE ONE OR WORST! DON't FALL FOR THEIR CHEAP TRICKS!
