For exactly 120 for a couples massage was not reflected on my account. I contacted groupon and gave them the order number in question as well as screenshots of my confirmation email. Instead of inquiring on the issue they refunded a second groupon voucher I bought for a movie ticket in the amount of 26.45 when I paid 29.45 and skipped out on paying my 3 additional dollars. When I contacted them a third time, my email was blocked. I would have been fine calling and explain this issue but there is no customer service number. Beware of the bs. Groupon is sketchy.
We were so excited my husband was given this as a birthday gift…. The extra expenses have been ridiculous… extra $100 each to fly out from Brisbane… extra costs to sit together on flight… car hire for 3 days cause a very basic motel is not near city, beach, etc…. We were not honoured any of our three Friday and Saturday night options… had to fly out on a Thursday… taking away our income (haven't even gone and down $1060)… gosh I hope our bottom of the peeking order destination is worth it!
Some really great deals, some moderate, some just a plain rip off. Promo codes have 1017 rules to follow and sometimes just don't work, with the reason as elusive as the discount.
I will not be buying anymore Groupons. Groupon does not check out the companies they post deals for. I bought an air duct cleaning coupon for $49.00. After numerous attempts I was able to schedule an appointment. The company "Fresh Air United Builders" aka "Fresh Air Duct Services" aka "United Air Cleaners" came to my house. They went into my garage. Ran a house to my furnace and turned it on. I can't see that they actually did anything. They did not clean any of the ducts in my house. Then tried to sell me a 5 year warranty package costing $699 plus two filters with an additional charge of $100 each, or, a 10 year warranty package for $1,600.00 which included the two filters and a UV light. Annual cleanings were included in the cost of both packages. Thankfully I Googled the company and saw that everything they did was a scam. Had I bought either of their packages I would had the pleasure of the company vanishing. Also, they really don't clean anything with their hose. It's just on to make it sound like they are doing something. There are complaints all over about this company going back many years. Why does Groupon continue to help this company rip people off? I am only out $49 so it could be worse, however, I have Groupon to thank for being ripped off at all. Like I said, I will never by anything from Groupon again!
PROCEED WITH CAUTION! No response to emails or telephone. A big NIL on customer service. 6 weeks - 4 emails - 20 unanswered telephone calls and STILL waiting for a response to a simple but important query
Bought a groupon and had trouble redeeming it. Groupon would not give me my money back! Don't buy from them, they don't stand behind their sales. After you buy it, they don't care what happens.
I would rate this company a 0. The Customer Service sucks. I requested a refund and it has been very difficult to get. I never used the voucher and this should not be that hard.
Be very wary of Groupon! I looked up their site out of curiosity and did give an email address thinking that might be all they required (crazy I know). The next page wanted full information and so at that point I left the website without joining. I started receiving daily emails. I didn't mind since the email address I gave them was one I use strictly for this sort of thing. A few weeks later I started to also receive their daily emails on my main email address. I have kept this address private for years and only use it for personal friends. I unsubscribed on my main address and the very next morning had several junk/ad emails. That has never happened before on this particular address--coincidence? My belief is that they not only tracted down my personal information and additional email address even though I did not sign up but also retaliated by selling my info when I "unsubscribed". By the way, I never did open any of their emails since they appeared to be big savings on pretty useless stuff.
I orderd a product from groupon and never got it. I prolly won't ever get it they just email me and appologize that I never and would not help me in anyway to find out what happen to it. So I basically paid for something and got screwed. Just like groupon stole my money. They emailed me and basically said sorry about your bad luck, tough $#*! buddy. So I highly recomend people to never order things to be shipped by groupon. Stay away! They will prolly rob your $#*!. Oh and forgot to mention when they finally said it was shipped it was 3 day past the 12 day dead line of which they promise the package to arive, so it was just horrible experience all over. I will never use groupon ever again and I hope all of you out there will do the same. Boycot groupon they will probably steal your hard earned money!
Tip for consumers:
Do NOT order shipping items you probably won't receive it!
I ordered a set of bamboo sheets on Groupon. The composition was supposed to be 1800 thread count with 40% bamboo and 60% microfiber. They sent a set of sheets named "1800" that were 100% polyester. I've contacted them over and over and I get no response. It's coming on 3 weeks. The lackeys that send you the canned responses have no authority to approve or process a return. Unfortunately Groupon has gone down the drain. It's my last time using them. This "we can't answer your call for the health and safety of our employees" crap is just that, crap. This is how they disregard your request for refund.
They had the audacity to tell me they would add $5.00 "Groupon bucks" to my account after I told them I was done with them. You can see that on my proof of purchase.
When they send the wrong product, they should automatically refund you, rather than say only the merchant can issue the refund. Don't fall for their tactics. The last time I had an issue they told me they could only give me a credit, they couldn't refund my credit card due to COVID.
Class action anyone?
Tip for consumers:
Don't use Groupon. Period.
Products used:
I did not even open it. The product they sent was the wrong product. I'm not sure how many people see the "1800" on the front and fall for it, but I'm not one.
Returns I put Not Applicable because even though there's a 30 day return policy, they won't authorize it.
After purchasing a product off groupon and waiting for a whole month for it to arrive, I finally decided to give them a call.
Prior to calling, I'd used their tracking number to check the status of the delivery and it stayed constant on the 'shipped' status a good two weeks before this call. After speaking to a clueless customer service assistant who kindly suggested I wait another 7 days to see if it arrives, I asked to speak to a supervisor. The supervisor was busy (as they always are) and since they do not do outbound calls, she said she will escalate the matter and get the supervisor to email me the same day.
After waiting for the email for 2 days, I called them back, and was told that the matter is with the relevant department and that supervisor will email me soon. I refused to cut the call until I had spoken to the supervisor (who was busy again), the customer service assistant said since the supervisor was busy it maybe a while, I said I was ready to wait. After waiting 25 minutes, they simply disconnected the call. It has been 3 days since, still no email or communication what so ever. Still haven't received the products we bought off groupon and paid the delivery charges for.
I have since cancelled my groupon account and have resigned myself the to the fact that I'm never likely to get the product that I have paid for.
What in the world is going on with this imposter website? I mean where are the top of the line products? I have been shopping with IDEELI for years and now I have to go shop online elsewhere.
I purchased the $50 Groupon for $25 for the Gap. I felt so privileged to have gotten it as other people I know could not get through the busy site to try to get their hands on one. I went to the Gap and found 2 items to purchase for around $55.00. Both of the items were on sale. When I got to the register the items rang up for the expected amount of around $55.00 plus tax. I presented my Groupon. When the cashier applied the Groupon to my purchase the prices on the sale items I was buying automatically adjusted back to regular price. I asked her why. She told me because the Groupon was not valid with promotional items and that I was already saving 50% by using the Groupon. I personally think this is ridiculous! If I go to Kohl's with Kohl's cash or a discount coupon and I am buying a sale item I can still use the Kohl's cash or coupon toward my purchase. In fact, I think this applies to just about any store; even on line. Is this Gap's policy or Groupon's? Whoever's it is I think it is a bunch of Bull! I will never buy another Groupon or shop at Gap as a result of this experience.
Back in June I had ordered a Melon and Avocado slicer. I received the Avocado slicer, but I never got the Melon slicer. I tried to contact the so-called customer service and boy was it a joke. First of all, I was practically accused of lying by Raja N., the first rep who I chatted with. The fact that she even had to mention that there was a previous shipment that I had not received, rubbed me the wrong way! I basically went on to tell her that there is no reason to lie, it's not like it's a pair of designer shoes that I am trying to get for free. She ridiculed me and said, yep you're right, they are not shoes. After all the back and forth, I asked her if there is anyway to have the situation escalated (only because of her condescending tone), she basically changed the subject. I ended the chat at that point and initiated a new one, only to find out that this person Prasanthanan M. Was already in on the situation and ridiculed me when I tried to complain about my previous chat. He basically said "I am sorry for the inconvenience caused as I do understand the situation. Anyone who stands in your shoes will feel the same." I hate to say it, but until Groupon has live customer service I will not be ordering from them anymore!
I tried some massage coupon, which turned out to be a stupid shop, and both times I go there, they said they don't have the person who has to do the massage, there is no way to get a refund.
Ordered 12 Bottles of Torla Tinto Rioja Crianza Wine for £48.99 With Free Delivery (55% Off) they said delivered in 7 working days, now 9 days since i ordered, the email address for sender of wine is no good, got onto groupon they said they will look into it.
I am still waiting
DO NOT BUY
This is the worst shopping experience ever! I finally got the things I ordered, but I can't tell what size they are vs what I ordered (NO info on the packing slip, except the quantity and item description). They are two of the UGLIEST things I've ever seen (definitely not as described/pictured) and now, apparently, I am only allowed TO RETURN FOR STORE CREDIT ONLY. Who has that barberic shopping rule anymore? And why didn't I see that on the website, because I sure wouldn't have made the purchases in the first place!
I ordered a groupon for first choice home services... DON'T DO IT. I have set up 2 appointment they have never showed up. When I call them they have no IDE what happened I complained on groupon and 1st home services I went so far as calling the CEO his number was listed on the web site he was rude said he would call and check on it. And I have had no response. I have requested a full refund from groupon. But have no response so far. Do not get service from FROM 1ST CHOICE HOME SERVICES... SCAM
I have been buying groupons for about 2 years. I have not had much trouble with redeeming them. Yes for the most part every thing goes smooth. A couple of places I have gone to eat were not up to my standards and I should have call groupon to the carpet for the experiences but choose not to do so. I recently tried to use a groupon for a sushi restaurant in my area which all signs indicates gone out of business. I called numerous times I have driven by there a few times to find that there is card board all around the window. I went to the business next door and was told they have not seen anyone in three weeks. I informed groupon and they are looking into it almost two weeks now. I asked for a refund and they offered me groupon bucks. I have went back and forth with one of their csr which seems to think I am going to settle for groupon bucks. The guarantee is not an actual guarantee that they post stating if you are not satisfied with your experience groupon will make it right. How can I make a judgement and I can't have the experience. Only if you are not asking for your money back... Beware.
I had a terrible experience with GroupOn. In November 2018, I reserved a hotel through GroupOn (anticipating attending a graduation in May 2019). This week (April 2019), I decided to call the hotel to confirm my reservation, and they had no record of the reservation. Subsequently, I reached out to GroupOn via live chat. The representative assured me that they would contact the hotel to confirm the reservation, and I had no need to worry. The next day, I called the hotel again. There was still no record of a reservation. I reached out to GroupOn via live chat again. I asked for a refund, and was denied. The representative assured me that they would contact the hotel. However, I came to know that the hotel was now booked because of the upcoming graduation. How was the representative so sure that I would have a room? They asked me to be patient, and they would "escalate" this with their priority team. Nevertheless, I cannot have a refund. So now I paid $199.98 for empty promises? I am extremely disappointed in their services, especially after being asked to be patient. I planned this trip in November (5 months ago). While writing this review, they finally issued a refund. Now I have no where to stay despite "booking" this hotel last year. They are very disorganized, and I advise that you be careful while planning vacations, trips, dates, etc. through use of GroupOn.
While they advertise some unique items, they also are overpriced. If you shop around, chances are you will find a better deal in a number of other places.
Decent site, but flat $10 shipping fee, and an order placed on September 1st and I JUST received an email stating SOME of my items have shipped on Sept 15th WTF? I have never heard of anything this SLOW without advance notification. Will I ever see what I've ordered?
I placed an order a few days ago, I got a phone call stating that I needed to call to confirm my order. I was a bit skeptical to call because I already from the site before and had never needed to call to confirm an order. So instead I emailed customer service and advised that I will be emailing to confirm my order rather than call the unfamiliar number back. I received a reply back that my order looked good and there was nothing wrong with it - it was still processing. Then just tonight I received an email from Ideel stating that per their loss prevention investigation my order had to be cancelled?!?! Really!? I did nothing wrong, but did use the 35% promo that was sent to me via email. I am pretty positive that my order was cancelled because I used the discount that was given to me by none other than Ideel. Ideel is a scam that uses bait and switch to lure customers into thinking they are receiving a good deal. Ideel you've just lost a customer! Shame on you and your deceptive practices!
AWFULL company, I paid for the deal then could not get through to make a booking as the phone ALWAYS went to VM at the spa i booked and they never returned the calls or the email. TRIED to ring Groupon but was NEVER able to get through. Sent and email demanding my money back and got a response three days later. In a very Rude email they refunded the money not even an apology fro the trouble RUBBISH company DO NOT USE
I am a small business owner and had the misfortune of advertising with GROUPON. I was scamed/conned by many buyers and the refund policy of GROPON only helps them accomplish it. They actuallyh told me that their refund policy is a LOOP HOLE that helps them to ensure that they are not held liable for any unpleasnt user experiences. As a business owner, I would stay away from this site. They admit that I was scammed by two people and then I caught a third attempting to do the same. They do not care. They even screwed me with their refund policy and sided with the person who scammed my business. Now that person is going all over review sites and is falsely reporting what happened to make my business look bad.
I have been shopping with them for over 6 months. Great deals and good value. Customer service slow but efficient. I prefer them to all others because of the incredible deals I have been able to get.

I am disgusted with the poor customer service, the long shipping times and the lost packages from Ideeli.com. Every order takes one month or longer to receive (ridiculous! - I pay the same amount as other customers but have to have my shipment delivered by UPS ground then transfered to USPS package services which ships my item to me via BOAT, wth?) At least offer the option of sending via faster shipping with higher cost-geez. But the worst thing is that after waiting a month, they lose my packageS - yes 2 of them, from the same order?! One was delivered to an address in another state and the other package was marked "moved left no forwarding address" I have lived in the house for over 4 years. Unbelievable. So I chat for about 20 minutes with the customer agent who barely speaks or spells proper English and request that all of my orders not yet shipped be cancelled and any credit due should be refunded to my credit card. She tells me only $48 can be returned to my card out of $500+ What?! She says that unless it is the fault of Ideeli that they will only issue refunds in form of credit. I told her that this entire mess was because of Ideeli and aske that they issue me a refund not only for the order that is over one month old, sent in two shipments (why?) and BOTH lost but also for all of the orders not yet shipped which I do not want to wait over a month for. She said she could not.
To date, I got $10 credit for my inconvenience. I plan to open a BBB claim and file a case with the Federal Trade Commission and Consumer Protection Agency.
IDEELI is terrible.
Hi Shoppingsmy T.,
I'm just as upset as you are to hear of this experience. Can you send me a private message with your user id so I can investigate the incidents you've referenced? Please rest assured that I will work to get to the bottom of this and make it right in any way I can.
To help you understand our shipping policy: for most packages, we use a combination of UPS and USPS services. Since the final delivery is handled by your local postal service, your order can now be delivered 6 days a week, including Saturdays. I will definitely share your feedback with our Internal teams so we can continue to enhance our shipping policies.
I look forward to hearing from you and to being of help.

Groupon is the largest "daily deal" site, selling vouchers for discounted local experiences and services such as restaurants and spas, as well as travel packages, shopping, and a number of other items. Vouchers are purchased upfront and typically must be redeemed by a certain date, after which time Groupons expire. To businesses Groupon markets itself as a way to drive new customers. Groupon is a public company (NASDAQ: GRPN) and is based in Chicago, IL.
Hi Kim: Thanks for the feedback. We feature an estimated shipping window on event pages, and order confirmation to give customers a preliminary timeline for shipments; however, if either shipment has fallen outside of that timeframe please email us at support@ideeli.com. We get our apparel directly from the manufacturers in order to give our customers the best price possible, so while items may get ordered together they get delivered from the manufacturers on different dates. Our shipping rate is now a flat $9.95 all day, regardless of how many items you order; because of that, the shipping price isn't dependent on speed of shipment. Thanks again for the feedback, and feel free to reach out to us at support@ideeli.com if you have any delays with your order, or if you have any questions.
