For exactly 120 for a couples massage was not reflected on my account. I contacted groupon and gave them the order number in question as well as screenshots of my confirmation email. Instead of inquiring on the issue they refunded a second groupon voucher I bought for a movie ticket in the amount of 26.45 when I paid 29.45 and skipped out on paying my 3 additional dollars. When I contacted them a third time, my email was blocked. I would have been fine calling and explain this issue but there is no customer service number. Beware of the bs. Groupon is sketchy.
We were so excited my husband was given this as a birthday gift…. The extra expenses have been ridiculous… extra $100 each to fly out from Brisbane… extra costs to sit together on flight… car hire for 3 days cause a very basic motel is not near city, beach, etc…. We were not honoured any of our three Friday and Saturday night options… had to fly out on a Thursday… taking away our income (haven't even gone and down $1060)… gosh I hope our bottom of the peeking order destination is worth it!
I WILL NEVER USE GROUPON GOODS AGAIN. Never use groupon goods! They're return policy is terrible. If you don't return a product within 14 days, you can't return it. So if something you purchase is a gift and it isn't discovered until the gift is given, you're screwed. I've had two bad experiences with dysfunctional products.
Tip for consumers:
NEVER ORDER FROM THEM.
Please don't use groupon. I ordered 3 items for my new flat and two of those have been problematic. I was shocked when I opened the memory foam mattress for my lodger, as it was covered in black stains. I also ordered a double bed in a specific colour to match all the other furniture I bought, and was furious to see the bed was a completely different colour. I have contacted groupon, who say I can return products for a full refund. Needless to say that the bed and the mattress had to be used. There was no way I could have just gone to a shop to buy an alternative bed and get same day delivery. So had to keep the wrong bed and the black stained mattress. I was also on hold for 36mins to them to be be hung up on after I said I had a complaint.
Please don't go through the nightmare of having to keep substandard products like I did and groupon washing their hands of you once they have made their money.
I was completely devastated that my moving in day was ruined, and the severe lack of customer care I received.
I purchased a bra deal yesterday. This morning I got several emails back to back saying order confirmation for the same deal, showing it had been purchased three more times. I immediately hit cancel [in the two hour window it says you have] got error message. Tried to cancel through the app, again, error message. Tried calling, number isn't accepting customer calls at this time. I got on their live chat and the woman said let me look it up, she then gave me a copy and paste response that it was a third party retailer and they'd call me in 48 hours and HUNG UP ON ME! This was their system that created this error and there is no way to contact their third party. I was SHOCKED at the customer service, how rude, cold and uninformative. Their system took money from my account and then created a loop hole preventing me from getting any help. Having over $100 taken from my account during covid when we're all unemployed and struggling is SHOCKING. I will NEVER use Groupon again, you have failed your customers and clients. And I have filed a report with the better business bureau.
I love the customer service Groupon provides! I have not been always happy with the product but... they always helped and fixed the problem! That's why I will come back and do more shopping!:-)
Purchased groupon for On The Border. Food was terrible. Groupon would not exchange the second voucher that I haven't used. I will remove the APP as soon as I use up my remaining vouchers
Groupon is a true discount site of many different business. Best to check the site everyday. Never had any problems with other stores they represented, a good site to go to for good deals.
Some good deals but if it goes wrong - if the supplier doesn't deliver as promised - they're of no help. They say they will follow it up but they don't.
So - as usual - buyer beware!
I have ordered two electronics from Groupon. The first dvd just went out and the second one you have to put something on top of it for it to read the dvd. Never again!
I purchased a restaurant voucher from Groupon and the restaurant closed. I emailed them MANY times over 2 months and I still have not received a refund. They are currently "investigating" even though I have driven by the restaurant and called many times. The restaurant is CLEARLY CLOSED.
DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM GROUPON
Ordered many different things and have yet to have anything shipped to me! They just offer things and don't deliver only allow you to hang on. If it's a nice price it's not real
It really has some great coupons and amazing deals. They sell you the coupons of only a fraction of the price it would have been to go there alone! Amazing site, visit it now!.
To keep it short and simple...
Bought a product and sent it back the same day I received it for a refund. STILL waiting for my refund 27 days later.
Don't purchase from Groupon
I have tried time and time again to unsubscribe to their worthless emails and they still keep coming. I will be putting this out there everywhere until they do. Unethical creeps.
Besides restaurants being bad, discounts being mediocre, horrible communication to customers. They took my Groupon bucks before they expired. Oh I'm officially over Groupon!
Groupon deals are honoured by various business partners with appreciation and give a proper reception to the customer like the direct customer. Good deals.
Bring back the old ideeli! It was a pleasure to shop on that site. Now it's like a cheap thrift store experience. I will not be back to shop on Groupon.
So far 2/3 times it works the third time you loose your money. No guarantees so the site is like vega's. Its a gamble and like vega's the groupon always wins
I love the fact that Groupon will follow you to different states and cities. Groupon has a wide range of deals and discounts and the website is very easy to navigate.
Never buy from them. Bad customer services, paid but never received, ask refund but tell me send email only they even do have a phone number! Never buy again from groupon.
Ideeli has got to be the dumbest company ever, regarding customer service.
I have spent $15,000.00 since Jan (that's $5,000 a mth). They sent me a size 10 boot, instead of what I ordered a size 6.5. I sent them an email, they said return the item (even though it said non-refundable/ because it was the wrong size sent)
Greatly appreciated & what they should say since it was IDEELI's mistake.
FastForward:
I've returned the item (THEY HAVE IT NOW) and they won't credit me. So it's a $49 boot, I've spent $15,000 in under 4 months and they are arguing with me over the $49 credit.
Risk loosing a $15,000 customer over a $49 boot, you betcha. I returned the boot, and yes I will take my business else where this is ridiculous. It's about customer service, and I DID what I was suppose to do. IDEELI CAN"T/ OR WON'T.
Purchased a Brazilian blowout with a local salon. After 3 weeks of NO response from the salon, I asked Groupon for a refund. Their customer service reps went around and around with me numerous times asking me to continue to try and schedule the appointment. Their customer service reps have NO idea what the past conversation has been and act like robots! Groupon said no refunds after 3 days - HOW WOULD I KNOW IF THE SELLER IS GOING TO BE UNRESPONSIVE AND FLAKEY after just 3 days? This is on Groupon - they are selling contracts in the masses and don't care about the customer service that is left behind. I will be going back to livingsocial and other outlets. I am done buying from a site that once used to act like Nordstrom and now behaves like a used car dealership.
They took my money and ran. I spent over $200 and moved so they won't credit me. Even though I was emailed they would. Hung up on me 3 times. Never buy groupons! Worst company ever!
NEVER NEVER USE GROUPONS THEY ARE A BUNCH OF BULL! Be warned never use this site not a joke! I've placed an order over three weeks ago for an item the said 7 days to receive and still today nothing now it's like pulling teeth to get money back! I told them that is never refer them nor would I use them if it was the last place on earth to get water in a drought! I wish I'd of seen this site before I placed the order because I sat for over an hour and read all negitve reviews on GROUPONS never use them please you've been warned up front!
Tip for consumers:
DONT USE AT ALL THEY ARE LIARS BIG TIME GIVE YOU THE RUN AROUND JUST READ OTHER REVIEWS YOULL SEE!!!!!
If you are a business, Groupon is probably NOT for you. They are not upfront about the discounts they are REQUIRING you, the business to offer. If you do not (or cannot) offer a 50% discount, you cannot be a 'promoted deal', meaning that you are absolutely invisible to the public. There is NO listing of your offer on any portal of their website if it falls below 50%! They call this aspect a 'self promoted' deal- well thank you very much, but if I'm going to SELF promote, why would I pay Groupon 30% of that? (and 50% if one is pushed as the 'deal of the day').
When I called customer service, they were just plain old rude. I was told that anything less than 50% would not be good for their customers, so maybe I am not a good fit! The 50% off is a result of some board, which of course I could not talk to or escalate my concerns with.
Also, think of this: If they sell 100 of your offers, and only 70 are actually used- you are only getting re-imbursed for those 70. They are not paying you upfront for all of the services which they sold on YOUR behalf. This is a class action lawsuit waiting to happen. If they are selling your services, you should be paid for every single sale, regardless of whether or not it is cashed in.
Groupon is not upfront with its terms. Nowhere does it talk about the requirement of discount being 50% to be a promoted deal, UNTIL you go through the long process of creating an account profile and getting activated.
Horrible, awful experience with Group on for me. My wife, as part of a birthday gift, gave me a group on coupon so that I could tint my windows at a local shop. It was past the expiration date, but the Group on policy on the front of the print out is "the amount paid for this voucher with (store name) NEVER EXPIRES".
I figured it wasn't fair to get the $200 value, since it was past due. However, I fully expected the business or Group on to at least honor the $100 that was already charged on my wife's credit card months ago.
The business didn't honor a cent (who can blame them, there is nothing in it for them). They told me to call Group on & I'll either get the $100 back or at the very least, a credit towards another group on offer.
I called customer service, & I received neither; the woman also sounded like she just woke up & had the attitude of disgruntled office temp. I told her that I will NEVER use group on again, or anyone in my family, or circle of friends.
The sad thing is that group on's shtick is that you can get great deals while supporting local businesses as well. They don't mention that they have a cold, draconian customer service policy in a day & age when there is so much competition.
Good bye group on; I hardly knew you.
By the way, this is completely out of character for me; I'm not some angry internet troll & I am quite mild mannered. It takes a lot to tick me off; No other internet service has come close to drawing my ire like Group On has. They did a bang up job in that department.
Tip for consumers:
Unfortunately, there is no zero rating; if not, all of the "1's" would be zeros.
Groupon is the largest "daily deal" site, selling vouchers for discounted local experiences and services such as restaurants and spas, as well as travel packages, shopping, and a number of other items. Vouchers are purchased upfront and typically must be redeemed by a certain date, after which time Groupons expire. To businesses Groupon markets itself as a way to drive new customers. Groupon is a public company (NASDAQ: GRPN) and is based in Chicago, IL.
