For exactly 120 for a couples massage was not reflected on my account. I contacted groupon and gave them the order number in question as well as screenshots of my confirmation email. Instead of inquiring on the issue they refunded a second groupon voucher I bought for a movie ticket in the amount of 26.45 when I paid 29.45 and skipped out on paying my 3 additional dollars. When I contacted them a third time, my email was blocked. I would have been fine calling and explain this issue but there is no customer service number. Beware of the bs. Groupon is sketchy.
We were so excited my husband was given this as a birthday gift…. The extra expenses have been ridiculous… extra $100 each to fly out from Brisbane… extra costs to sit together on flight… car hire for 3 days cause a very basic motel is not near city, beach, etc…. We were not honoured any of our three Friday and Saturday night options… had to fly out on a Thursday… taking away our income (haven't even gone and down $1060)… gosh I hope our bottom of the peeking order destination is worth it!
We had Sunflower Carpet Cleaning & floor care clean our carpet. They did a great job. I would highly recommend their professional attitude and care. Our carpet looks great.
After not receiving my order after 3 weeks I contacted customer service. They only offer email and live chat as a way to reach someone. I live chatted with someone only to have him inform me that he could not locate my package and would have to email a supervisor. I told him I wanted to speak with an actual person so he gave me a phone number to do so. I called that number for 2 days only to get a voicemail every time! In the voicemail they state that they will return your call by end of business day. Yea... no one ever called me back. So I emailed for another 2 days. No one ever returned my emails. So then I live chatted with someone yet again. This time the lady told me that my package was lost and there was an investigation. I told her I wanted my money back, only to have her avoid my demand. Only after getting angry did she tell me she would not refund my money until the investigation was complete almost 2 weeks later. Like it was my fault that they lost my package! So bottom line is ideel has the absolute worst customer service I have ever experienced, and I had to dispute the charges with my bank! Buyer beware! If you ever have to contact ideel customer service you're in for a very frustrating experience!
Groupons sound great but the discounts are taken off of inflated pries. Take any business and call them to find out what the original price was for the item or service you are interested in. I have not yet found a place that charges the prices that Groupon claims to be the 'original price' With the Groupon 'discount' the price of that item is either slightly cheaper or the same as what you can get in the store or business.
I have also noticed that many businesses treat you diffidently if you come in with a Groupon. You are automatically labeled about being cheap and the service level drops dramatically. I noticed that sometimes I get smaller portions and tend to wait longer for my food at restaurants. Most service providers don't return calls, don't show up to appointments or give you a half done jobs just to try to up sell you other features to complete the job that was promised.
So, if you want to buy a Groupon for the 'potential' savings, use at your own risk. I stopped buying them for fear that someone might spit in my food knowing that I have used a groupon.
My realtor referred me to this site to get a great deal from a local painter. I completed the application and paid the $210.00.
Then I tried to call the vendor but the telephone number was "not in use". The vendor never contacted me. I had to make mulitple complaints to Groupon to get my money back. Here is the rep's consdescending last e-mail:

They promise they will get back to you in 24 hours if you email. A lie. Sent email to be patient. Now I have sent several emails with their ticket number and they have still to reply to my email. I have tried their chat system and they never reply to it either so I am supposed to sit and wait all day for some to come and chat! Once I use the Groupons I have already purchased, I will NEVER PURCHASE ANOTHER GROUPON. Any savings is not worth the aggravation, since they no longer have a telephone for customer service.
Tip for consumers:
Don't use Groupon because if something goes wrong the customer service routes they tell you use is the worst.

I'd like to personally thank Ideel(i) for the horrible business decision to allow Groupon to purchase the company. Since the acquisition I have saved so much money. My mail-person would also like to thank you, they no longer have to lug box after box to my doorstep now that I no longer shop (or even browse) Groupon for Ideel(i) items. It's not the same, but I'M RICH now! A little shabbier looking, but RICH!
This would actually make for a great B-school or Marketing case study. Professors should use this as an example of considerations for M&A activities. Who would have thought brand loyalists would so quickly flee after what should have been a behind the scenes change of ownership?
Funny thing is I LOVED both Groupon and Ideel(i)... I mean LOVED! I haven't made a Groupon or Ideel(i) purchase in over 8 months (or 245 days as us daily deal lovers speak).

I am very disappointed with Groupon, I ordered a Groupon voucher for a getaway, however, we were unable to use it, we were not worried as the voucher said: You can always us this Groupon voucher for the amount paid, which NEVER EXPIRES. I called Groupon hoping to book a trip and use the amount the voucher was worth but I was told it was only good at the original hotel, at whatever the price the hotel charged. I have to say that I am very upset by the way Groupon advertises itself. I will never order from them again, nor will I ever recommend them.
I had booked a cracker purchase deal for my son as I was not in town for Diwali. The site promised delivery from Oct end to Nov 1st. To my dismay there was not delivery till Nov 1st. On calling on Nov 2nd - Diwali in Bangalore- I am told that the refund was made on Oct 31 and that the order was cancelled. I was not informed of this and on Diwali day now, I would have to request one of my friends to go out and purchase some crackers for my son, who is heartbroken as there were no crackers for him in the morning when other children were bursting crackers.

HUGE complaint with Groupon today. I ordered a camera via Groupon on Aug. 31st (the deal is still available) and got an email confirming that it was "on it's way" on Sept. 2cd. I still have no camera as of today and when I went to check tracking, a label had been created by the seller, but no package was ever provided to be shipped with the label. After waiting for 35 minutes to speak to a representative at Groupon, I was told that they have no way of contacting the seller, that the only thing I can do is wait to see if the seller gets the product to their warehouse, and that the Groupon Goods team may be able to figure out if the item ever reached their warehouse for shipping, but they would most likely tell me that they don't know as well. Why would you facilitate the sale of goods, if you have no way to contact the seller or guarantee the products? This business model makes no sense at all to me. This is the worst customer service I have ever dealt with and I purchase items online through third party sellers probably twice a week without any problems. Any by the way Groupon, I understand how it works, but thank you for telling me 600 times how you conduct business without any authority over the goods and services you are offering for vendors and letting me know that there is absolutely nothing you can do to help resolve an order issue that you facilitated. I am furious and will NEVER, NEVER purchase a Groupon again. I seriously suggest any consumer to think again before trusting Groupon for product fulfillment. So disappointed.

I thought i did purchased something worth my penny. I purchased 3.5hrs spa that includes back massage and facial. When i came to my appointment they introduced me to some of their facial things and made me paid something which I thought was just a top-up to what I originally purchased. I was surprised when the facial was done after 1Hr Im told that that was all... They told me that I had converted my GROUPON VOUCHER to that facial thing and that was it. But they never ever used the word "CONVERT nor CHANGE" while they introduced the facial stuff. Left confused and still with aching back that really needs back massage.
Was introduced to this site by my oldest son, was a little skeptical... two years later I am a believer and I definitely take advantage of this site and the deals!
I have had pretty good luck with Groupon. Some of the items were not the quality as described but the price was cheap enough, I kept the items. Overall, I like the products I have ordered from them.
I ordered 5 items I try to track them they say it's been delivered and I didn't receive anything I e-mailed them and I got a notification saying I can't email them because my messages have been blocked
I purchsed a groupon last year and was very excited to use it. I live in Boston, so it is not hard to get up there, however from the beginning this has been a horrendous experience! First, when I went to book a date, all the dates were sold out! Then when I contacted groupon asking for a groupon credit, they said no, even though there was no way I could use it, as it is seasonal and closes in March. I fought with Groupon, and then tried to book again in November directly with Hotel Du Glace for the current season, now that they have opened back up. However, as they said my groupon is expired, they will only accept the amount I paid( about $279) the catch however is the ONLY option is not cash value, maybe to buy gifts etc. but a 1 night stay which can ONLY Be booked at a M-Thurs rate of $398. The catch is it is only double occupancy, and if I go alone, it is still $398. SO there is NO way to use this groupon without spending even more for a deplorable customer service experience with both Groupon and Hotel Du Glace. I strongly caution against using either company.
With all the "deal seeker" services out there, Groupon is probably a better choice. It's easy to make a purchase and with their phone app, it's easy to redeem. However, I just noticed they changed their policy which I am not so keen on.
You used to be able to purchase and GROUPON would always honor the value you purchased it for after it expires. This makes it simple for the customer because if you forgot to use it, the $$ just goes back into your Groupon account.
This way, you can buy the Groupons you liked, and didn't have to always worry about what was expiring... because you never would waste your money.
I don't know when this changed but I just got a notification from an expired Groupon that the value is now being honored by the MERCHANT. This poses a little problem for me given that I also used to buy Groupons while I am on vacation to search for restaurant deals. In this instance, I purchased a meal at a restaurant and didn't end up going as our plans got too full. And now, I just wasted the money because I don't live where the merchant now holds the value of my voucher.
I don't like this change. Groupon - if you read this... go back to your old policy. Because now your customers will buy less from you!
I bought a star boat cruise for my bf in December 2015 and the provider of the service continually cancelled the trip due to the weather conditions. He cancelled it 3x to the point of the groupon being expired. On the third time he cancelled (on April 2nd) he informed us that we could reschedule again for the 4th time in October 2016! So I explained the situation to Groupon and all they said was "It is not our policy to refund expired groupons." Every single email I sent them was the same response. I called them even and explained too and they would not refund me.
If the person who owned the boat wouldn't have cancelled the cruise so much, I would've been able to use my groupon in the allotted time. So this is a case in which they shouldve refunded me.
But NOW they have forced me to charge them back through my bank and I will get my money:)
Groupon SUCKS and I will NEVER use them again.
They lost a great customer and many referrals that I have given over the years.

I bought three dresses on Ideeli more than a month ago and decided to return all three of them because none of them fit. After a few days, I received an email saying that they received two items and issued me refund for those two items. I was very confused because I sent back all three items in one single package but they said they only received two. So I contacted customer service and the representative told me that they DID receive that third item and will be issuing the ADDITIONAL refund within 7-10 days. Then more than a week passed and I didn't hear anything back from them. So I contacted customer service again and this time they told me they never received the third item. After that we had more than 10 email conversations back and forth discussing how the customer service can tell the customer that they received it at first and then tell the customer that they never received it. All I got was the same answer (that sounds like a copied and pasted one) where they said sorry blah blah blah and we will talk to UPS about this issue. So what am I supposed to do? Just wait here and let them say whatever they want to say? If Ideeli was the party that lost my item, I have no right to complain/get my refund back but to let them take the money away from me? I have wasted so much time and energy on this. And I swear I will never purchase on Ideeli EVER AGAIN!

I have had it with this site. I would give negative stars if that was an option. I have tried to look over some of the order delays, and poor customers service issues as a "trade off" for the discounts. IT'S NOT WORTH IT. Any money I save shopping here is not worth the pure aggravation and frustration with their incompetence. I have received incorrect items on numerous occasions. Even if I have managed to get a refund, once an items is gone from the site, it's gone and there's nothing you can do about it. The last straw was when I ordered some items for Christmas, paid for the expedited shipping to make sure it arrived on time, and WITHOUT EXPLANATION, the order was canceled. I had no idea until I logged into the website to track the delivery. Despite receiving an email to confirm that my order was being "processed", it was then canceled without explanation. There's nothing wrong with my credit card or my account. Needless to say, I'm super angry AND do not have time to order something from another site. Stay away from this shady website with questionable ethics, and horrible treatment of customers. They do not give a s**t about you as a customer.

I attempted to purchase a refurbished laptop from groupon. They sent me several emails saying that the transaction didn't process and the purchase did not go thru. Based on this, i made other purchases. THREE DAYS after the attempted purchase, i checked my bank account to find that the charge HAD been put thru and that it was overdrafting my bank account. I spent another THREE DAYS trying to get my money back and my bank refusing to file a dispute over the charge! DO NOT BUY FROM GROUPON!
They sell me a voucher for 185 $ tablet android and the voucher code dosent work and the store say i need to see with groupon. Groupon Never return my email
