For exactly 120 for a couples massage was not reflected on my account. I contacted groupon and gave them the order number in question as well as screenshots of my confirmation email. Instead of inquiring on the issue they refunded a second groupon voucher I bought for a movie ticket in the amount of 26.45 when I paid 29.45 and skipped out on paying my 3 additional dollars. When I contacted them a third time, my email was blocked. I would have been fine calling and explain this issue but there is no customer service number. Beware of the bs. Groupon is sketchy.
We were so excited my husband was given this as a birthday gift…. The extra expenses have been ridiculous… extra $100 each to fly out from Brisbane… extra costs to sit together on flight… car hire for 3 days cause a very basic motel is not near city, beach, etc…. We were not honoured any of our three Friday and Saturday night options… had to fly out on a Thursday… taking away our income (haven't even gone and down $1060)… gosh I hope our bottom of the peeking order destination is worth it!
I love groupon deals. I am always seaching for a great deal, and even though there is some fine print to each deal, it ALWAYS saves you money. As long as you CAN READ, then this site is GREAT. I hate when people complain about the groupon stipulations after they have already purchased a deal from them. They list everything clearly and they are not trying to scam anyone. PLEASE USE THIS SITE, if you want a good deal. Some of their deals and emails are repeatitive, but honestly they want you to save money and they want to make money. Enough said. Read BEFORE you buy! DUH!
On September 24,2014 I bought 2 groupons for carpet cleaning. As soon as I purchased them I called to make appointments to have the carpets cleaned. I could not get an appointment until February 2015. I was having a big party in early November and needed the carpets cleaned before the party. I explained my situation to the cleaning company and that I needed to cancel my order. She told me I would have to call Groupon. I called the phone # I had for them and got a recording that said there was a 45 minute wait. I decided that was too long and I would call later. The next AM I called again and the wait time was 55 minutes. I hung up and looked on their web site for another phone # or an email I could contact them on. No luck. I called American Express, explained the situation and asked them to not pay Groupon. They said OK and contacted Groupon. Groupon said I did not contact them to cancel so I had to pay.
Do they really expect people to wait on the phone for 45 to 55 minutes for anything!
I hired someone else to clean the carpets (not through Groupon). They don't need to be cleaned again but I have to pay for the Groupon Coupons so I called the business today and their earliest appointment is May 20,2015. I will use this coupon so as to not waste my money but I will never use Groupon again for anything.
Kim Barker Seattle, WA.
I had to pay for them so today I made an appointment and the earliest they can come out is May 20,2015.
Tip for consumers:
Don't buy carpet cleaning coupons unless you can wait for 4+ months.
Don't buy anything you may want to cancel.
Icky experience: Groupon for Dairy Queen at Tyrone Sq, St Petersburg, FL.
This DQ was located inside a shopping mall (1 location only so mgmt/owner had to initiate this groupon offer). Groupon offer was to pay $11 in advance for 4 $5 coupons for DQ food. When we arrived at DQ we were 3 adults, 1 child. I had accessed the DQ menu link on the Groupon offer, so we were set to have light lunch, drinks & small desserts. This DQ does NOT have most DQ menu items shown on the Groupon link: no burgers, no fries, no $5 lunches including small dessert, no kids menu. We ordered from their very limited menu (total $21.36) and the owner told me I owed $16.36 - we would have to present 3 more of the Groupon vouchers to have $5 each credit. It would have been easy for him to simply ask if we'd like to use up all of our $5 per person (they come in $20 increments) but he told us it was only 1 per person per visit. It was getting embarrassing with my family. I was pretty floored but he then explained that I could present 3 more certificates (iPhone) to redeem. The food was honestly awful: there is nowhere to eat nearby except a playground for tiny kids offered by the mall. Surprise!... lunch in Pre-School (although the kids were really cute). I think this is an awful example of a good Groupon offer gone bad and this location shouldn't be included in the Groupon program. I haven't had an experience like this before: where I live Dairy Queen is awesome and I thought it was cool to see them with a coupon here. Not so much, never again. Big DQ/Groupon branding error.
Tip for consumers:
I've never worried much about the fine print because it's been fair before. In this case, you should.
I received a notification in the middle of the night saying my credit card was charged by GROUPON and right away I emailed them to tell them that the transaction was not authorized by me to cancel the transaction. I spoke to three representatives. They told me that they were going to escalate it. But, they lied to me, and the transaction was not canceled. I tried to google their number I received three numbers when I tried to call it says please check the number and dial again. They like to save your credit card number without your consent make sure you delete it. THE WORST COMPANY EVER JUST LOOK AT THEIR REVIEWS!

Groupon's idiotic handling of my order and non-existent "customer service" are the last straw. I ordered these batteries, I get a tracking number. Tracking shows that it DELIVERED last Saturday in ORLANDO, FL but I live in Oklahoma City OK and nothing in my account says otherwise, nor has it EVER. I contact Groupon. They can't tell me the exact address where my order delivered or why they would have been shipped to some random address 1300 miles away, but they'll do me a favor and give me some "Groupon bucks" in my account to spend on something else on their site along with a warning that "mixups like this happen from time to time but we won't be able to issue refunds like this in the future". Excuse me? 1) Your error, not mine. 2) YOU DIDN'T DELIVER to me, or anywhere close, nor can you even tell me exactly where or why you would have shipped my order where tracking says it went. 2) You didn't issue a refund, you gave me "funny money"... to buy more from a company that can't successfully deliver what I did purchase from you. Now they have altered my account for this item to show "cancelled" which is false and just proves they can manipulate tracking info at will; my review on your site hasn't been approved so it'll never show up for others to see... which explains why only 3 reviews actually show up of the 18 it shows have been submitted on this item. I will be dumping Groupon and filing a claim with my credit card, who you can bet will do a lot better job of dealing with their customer service failures than Groupon's customer service clowns. What a freaking joke.
Can't imagine whose IDEA this was because this is not IDEEL! Hate the new format, the lack of quality clothes, the GROUPONING of our beloved site. I purchased a bunch from Ideel, won't do this site again.
WE WANT IDEEL BACK!
I have two things to report in this review: I recently looked at a golf deal on Groupon. When you reviewed the deal, it appeared that the golf deal was a good deal. After I purchased the deal, you realize that you must rent a golf cart and the cost of the golf carts are higher than normal. This is not clearly revealed in the golf deal. I was wanting to use the coupon and walk the courses. After purchasing and finding out that you have to rent a cart with the coupon deal, I called Groupon and told them that the fact that a golf cart must be rented and the cart is higher than normal price was not clear on the advertisement of the Groupon offer and I told them that I preferred them to refund my money but they wouldn't. The guy I talked to was tactful but unreasonable. He said "they had offered that golf deal for years and "everybody" knew that the golf cart was mandatory.". He would not even try to make me happy with a refund. He basically said I should have paid closer attention. The problem is, this is one of those "small print" things. The next thing I would say is I bought a couple of items from Groupon that seemed to be a good deal One of those was a pair of headphones. The picture of the product looked pretty decent. When I got the headphones, they were the cheapest made piece of crap I could have imagined. I'll never buy any offer on Groupon again.
Purchased two POGO Passes for San Antonio on Groupon. Seemed like a great deal but was unable to redeem them. I contacted Groupon on a Thursday and was told that "there was nothing they could do" finally I was transferred to a manager and was promised I would receive an email within 24 hours. I received nothing. I have spoke to someone every day since then and received no help. On Monday I spoke to someone and asked for a refund and was told I could not get a refund, and that she would escalate my issue and I would hear from someone in less than 24 hours. I never heard from anyone. I spoke with someone today and was told that since my issue was escalated they cannot issue a refund. I was then told that I cannot get a refund because the fine print says I can't, even though the issue is obviously a technically issue with Groupon. I am only in San Antonio for another week and live 2000 miles away. So, if I would have waited for the escalation I wouldn't be able to use the product because of the two week wait for them to fix the issue. I voiced this to them and they did not seem to care. Finally after arguing my order was refunded. This is not the first time something like this has happened. I will never order from Groupon again. Also, anyone looking to purchase these passes can purchase directly from the POGO pass website for the same price by using a coupon code. Or it's $10 originally which is worth it to not have to deal with Groupon.
In reading other reviews from prior, it seems there were issues with Groupon, the businesses and consumers. As of today (6/2014), my experience thus far as been stellar. I've purchased mostly services from home cleaning, massage, hair, makeup, nails and more. All of the services I've received have been honored as listed with no issues. My new favorite cosmetologist who does my hair was found through Groupon. She also offers the same price every time I come back with or without the Groupon. In discussion, she loves the Groupon offer because it brought lots of new customers to her and almost a 100% good experience. No issues with offering services she couldn't fulfill or not receiving enough profit. Perhaps these were issues from the past and have been resolved? Regardless, every business I have purchased a Groupon from has provided the service as listed and the experience has been 100% positive. I love the deals and the businesses seem to enjoy the increased traffic. Definitely read the fine print for details and mention the Groupon if booking by phone or type it in if possible while scheduling. Well worth it!
I've bought a lot of goods on Groupon. And several spa type deals. If you do a quick Google search for a particular item you'll usually find just as good if not a better deal elsewhere, at least for the goods. I've never had any issues with their other deals, and those are pretty good.
I bought a Samsung tv on Groupon that I waited 3 weeks to get. Qhwn it finally arrived, the screen was shattered. And the deal was gone. Though it said free returns when i tried to print the return label it wouldn't let me. Contacted customer service and they sent me a return label. Returned and refunded with no issue.
Ordered a refurbished backwards compatible ps3, stopped working on day 2. Returned and refunded with no issue.
Ordered a refurbished router, but the power cord with it didn't work. Ended up using my own cord from something else and it works fine.
In March I ordered a juice cleanse on Groupon from Vertex BSI. It still has not arrived and the company is not responding to me or the Groupon customer service. Groupon seems to be making an effort to reach out to the business, but nothing has happened yet. Hoping to get a refund and they need to cancel that promotion.
Last month, I ordered a pair of shoes and paid the crazy $9.95 shipping charge, which gives you shipping for 30 days after the purchase. The shoes arrived after about 3 weeks and I loved them. During the 30 days I kept my eye out for something else I might like and found another pair of shoes that I wanted to buy. I tried to buy them and immediately they were on hold, then no longer available. So, I added my name to the wait list. Shortly after my 30 days of free shipping expired, I received notification that they were available. Interesting... I decided not to buy them because I'd have to pay another $9.95 in shipping on a $19.99 pair of shoes. The next day they sent me a coupon for $10 off, so I ordered the shoes. When they were arrived, they were a wreck! One shoe had several rhinestones missing and the other was very clearly manufactured incorrectly. I sent an email to customer service which included a photo of the defects. Their response, sorry, throw away the shoes and here's your $9.99 back. Result for me? I paid a net of $9.95 and got NOTHING. So, I now believe their way of making money is actually through the shipping, not through the trash they "sell." I have never run into an online retailer that expects you to pay shipping on defective merchandise. I've made my last purchase. I will be unsubscribing and never looking back. BUYER BEWARE!
I purchased a Groupon, went to the store to use it, and the store said the Groupon was not valid. Apparently Groupon had some sort of "system problem" which was indicating that the Groupon had already been used. It had definitely not been used. I made my purchase at the store anyway, fully expecting Groupon to give me back the value of the Groupon. Wrong. Groupon Customer Service did not resolve my issue. I ended up having to file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau/BBB. Groupon then agreed in their response to the BBB complaint to issue me a refund. Weeks later, I still do not have the refund. I called Groupon about the refund and was promised that someone will return my call in 2 days. A week later I am still waiting for that return phone call. I had to file another complaint with the BBB just to get the refund that Groupon promised to give me in their written response to my first complaint! Considering all the time I am spending I certainly am not saving any money using their "service". When everything goes well, Groupon is not a bad deal. When something goes wrong, good luck. Any company can provide great customer service when things are going well. A true customer focused organization should be able to make a customer feel good even when things are not going as planned. Groupon certainly fails in this respect.
I placed an order on May 15th for a simple workout pants and jumper. The order was never shipped because they said they had an issue with inventory, so they gave me a $10 credit to my account. I figured this was just a once in a blue moon mishap. So I decided to order something from their site again on Nov. 20. They said the item would be delivered no later than Dec. 2nd. Here I am writing today and the order is still pending. DO NOT believe their crap about them not being able to ship because of them being a flash sale site. I just placed orders from both MyHabit and Gilt last week, and both orders were shipped out the following day. They also have the same amazing sales. Gilt had 40% of their entire site for Cyber Monday. This is the first time I am ever writing a review on anything. I NEVER write reviews, but I felt compelled to write this review because of how strongly I feel about the situation. Please save yourself the hassle and never order from this website. I have never had issues with ordering online except for now. Also, I have tried emailing them multiple times and messaging them on facebook and am still waiting on a reply. JUST DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS SITE!
Tip for consumers:
Just DO NOT order from them!
Much like this site, they make you register to view stuff. Unlike this site, they make it hard to unsubscribe. They seem to want to create a huge customer base/ mailing list - maybe to make themselves look beter as a company when marketing to vendors, like they reach more people. So whenever you want to view the site, you have to "sign up" with an email address. I must have signed up 20 times already. Fortunately only one was a real address cause unsub is a pain to locate. Just wanted to see what they're all about. The stuff is superfluous crap that I'd not really want to buy, or resort/entertainment deals with a lot of fine print. Prices are jacked up too, so that it looks like you're getting 50% off, when it's more like 20. But if you like wining and dining and massages and things, and don't care for word of mouth or doing your own bargain hunting, this could work for you.
It is nice in a catalog sort of way, like to get ideas on what to buy. But I'm going to leave it at that and shop outside of the site.
PS When signing up, *******@your.mom and all variations thereof are already taken.
I PURCHASED TWO VOUCHERS FOR FACIAL SALOON (JAZIBEAH BY SANA) I TRIED CALLING THE SALON FOR A WEEK BUT NO ONE IS ANSWERING AND WENT TO CHECK THE PLACE BUT IT WAS CLOSED. THE VOUCHER WILL EXPIRE ON SEPTEMBER. I WANTED TO HAVE A REFUND BUT THE CUSTOMER SERVICE FOR GROUPON IS NOT WORKING. I HAVE BEEN CALLING THEIR NUMBER BUT IT SEEMS THAT IT IS NOT WORKING
Groupon asked for my review of the customer service I received this is my response to Groupon and futher explains my nightmare with finally receiving my refund. This is my exact response to their survey:
After ten different persons responding to my one request for return of my funds for a service that I could not receive by the salon owner I finally received my refund. Instead of one person responding to my request I kept getting a different response from different people as if Groupon has no coordination amongst its customer service reps. I was told I had not followed the rule to request within 3 days, which I had done. Groupon's lack of coordination and delay in responding to its customers immediately led to this nightmare! I have used and purchased many items and one major service from a vendor who charged me twice for the same service, after I was in her office and ready for the procedure. I will NEVER use GROUPON again! Your customer service is horrible, and if I had not refused to accept your denial for my refund, and contacted the FTC I would have had to accept your Groupon Credit, which I did not want. It is GROUPON's deceptive way of not losing money. A customer should never be forced to accept credit for a service that they have paid for and cannot receive because of the vendor not the customer. I am not sure how you have managed to stay in business with these types of policies and your poor customer service. One thing is for sure I will not be helping you stay in business.
Tip for consumers:
Buyer be beware!

I received a full refund after refusal to accept their deceptive policies after following their rules and contacting FTC and filing a report.
I purchased a massage for a friend of mine. The masseuse wouldn't respond to scheduling requests despite weeks of effort. So, I tried to change the Groupon to something else. Changing it to Groupon Bucks was easy enough except that the new Groupon became stuck in "processing". Forever.
Then began the endless around-and-around circle with Customer Service as they are either unable or unwilling to change the status of an order. A simple request of "I bought this with your own currency, release it please" was apparently impossible for any of the rank-and-file CSRs and any sort of attempt to escalate just got me a new CSR.
This merry-go-round is currently at 3 months with no end or resolution or escalation in sight.
Don't use Groupon for anything unless you're absolutely sure you can use it because exchanges and returns are basically impossible and/or useless.
Either their CSR system is hopeless overworked or outdated (or both) because CSRs seem only able to give the same "I'm sorry this is so frustrating" platitudes without working on any actual resolution. The one glimmer of resolution was basically a thinly veiled attempt to make me purchase the Groupon again when it was actually an exchange/return. I'm inclined to gives the CSRs themselves the benifit of a doubt because they can only work with what they have. But the Customer Service options available are clearly unable to resolve common issues like exchanges and/or system issues.

Tried to use a massage Groupon but the vendor was unresponsive to scheduling requests and basically never answered her phone or returned any messages. Exchanged for Product of same general value and the new Groupon was stuck in "processing" and CS was unable/unwilling to complete the exchange.
Please don't listen to all of these badmouther reviewers in this site. They are all complaining about the shipment being really slow and such, when in a matter of fact, when you buy items from ideeli, they exactly tell you when the expected shipment date is. Some of them are 2-3 weeks, some are shorter, but some are just about 1 week or less. And Ideeli stands for their promise. On the expected shipment date, they ship it promptly and for my items, they were delivered to me within 2 days since the shipment date. How come you all say that Ideeli is the worst company and such?! You are getting crazy discount for a very expensive item, I would wait for 3 weeks, since they tell me about it. It's not like they didn't say anything about it before you made your order. You want it fast? Just go to Sax Fifth or Neimann then! Buy at regular price!
My experience with Ideeli was awesome. I ordered 2 L. A.M. B watches for gifts and they were perfect! Great quality, authentic like promised, with crazy discounts! Shipment was prompt like mentioned on my order, couldn't be better. 5/5 stars!
Hi Andrew,
Thank you so much for your support! I'm so glad you've had an awesome experience, and that you enjoy your L. A.M. B. watches.
As you mentioned, we try to be as clear as possible about expected ship dates by listing the shipping windows on each and every sale item, as well as in the order confirmation. I'm happy that you've made note of this information and find it to be helpful.
Thank you for being a part of ideeli!

I needed to return two items to ideeli. Before I shipped them out, I called ideeli customer service to see whether I can ship them both using one shipping label. The lady who answered the phone said yes, so I did. After a week, I got an email saying that they have received my ITEM (singular). I logged into my ideeli account and also saw that only one item was received by ideeli warehouse.
I used ideeli online chat to talk to a customer service rep who just couldn't seem to understand my point. After 10 minutes of chatting, I had to repeat for the 10th time that I shipped both one single shipping label, and she finally got it. I asked whether she could check the warehouse, she told me she has no access to it.
I decided to call their customer service. No one answered. I called again and left a message. The customer service voice recording said that they'll reply to all messages within the same business day. It's almost 24 hours, still haven't heard back from them.
After I called the customer service, I decided to use the chat again just in case the first rep was not properly trained. I was told by this new rep that multiple returns that used one single shipping label takes more time to process. Really? Why? Shouldn't the warehouse staff scan both items upon receiving them? This just doesn't make sense.
I never thought the return process of ideeli would be such a hassle. I shipped my returns using one single label to save THEM money! In the end, I'm the one who's suffering……….!
Hi Tiffany,
My sincere apologies for any frustration. I am happy to help get to the bottom of this. Can you please email me the order and return information so I can look up this record?
For future reference, please remember that our items have a corresponding UPS return label to be used when shipping back to us.
In order to process your returns as quickly and efficiently as possible, we recommend that you send each return in a separate package with its corresponding label. If you choose to send multiple returns back in one box we suggest that you include all corresponding labels and reference the order numbers for each
Item inside the package.

The seller was a con and groupon does NOT back what's sold on their site. I got a fitness groupon stating that I can take 30 "fitness" classes at several specific locations near me. I showed up for the class that I registered for via the sellers site and they had no idea that groupon had them listed, but offered to give me a free "tryout" class... that's not 30 classes and the other location said that they are NOT affiliated with seller
"MetaBody Yoga & Fitness Pass" but they also offered free try outs. Apparently I bought a few classes through groupon that are actually free tryouts and NONE of them were willing to cover ANY of the groupon's ( MetaBody Yoga & Fitness Pass) 30 classes and of course they have no phone contact available!
Groupon works as long as you don't need any customer service. I had an issue with one of my Groupons and I had to do back and forth emails to a bunch of random customer service representatives. The agents were never the same and usually said contradictory things or gave some random response that had nothing to do with my email. They didn't understand my concerns or my questions. I had to ultra simplify my wording in the hopes that my email would translate into their language well. These are the names of the agents who emailed me:
Duddela Venkata
Rupanagudi Nazeer Babu
Chaithra C P
Abhisek Kumar Singh
It would have been nice to speak to someone over the phone. I'm guessing they don't have a customer service number because their agents don't speak English.
I bought something a while back no problem. Today I purchased the Google Express offer. What a nightmare! They claim free shipping if you use the free trial offer, BEWARE. After you purchase there's no option to select or unselect the shipping offer. If you don't cancel they'll charge you $10 a month or $95 per year after a few months. I tried to call every number Groupon had and guess what?... the first number is a never ending recording of 25 - 30 offers then it ends. The next number says they're not using that number anymore and they refer you back to the number that has all those offers, a LOOP. Soooo I contacted Paypal and started a dispute, they gave me the number to contact Groupon which happens to be the SAME number that has all those offers. Basically you can not call and speak to anyone. If you feel adventurous you could pretend to be a seller wanting to use their service, I'm sure someone will pick up that line but they'll simply refer you back to the loop number. If you feel the need to use Groupon I highly recommend you do NOT use a bank card! Paypal or credit card only. BEWARE
IF YOU USE THEM 1 TIME, THEY SAVE YOUR CREDIT CARD NUMBER. I WAS SEARCHING THEIR WESITE AND 4 HRS LATER AND UNATHORIZED RESERVATION WAS MADE AND THEY DEDUCTED 550 FROM MY CHECKING AOCCOUNT. THE CUSTOMER SERVICE "MANAGER" YELLED INTO THE PHONE "i CANT HEAR YOU" AND DISCONNECTED THE CALL, i WASNT YELLING
I love Groupon. I have done so well with getaways, dinners, family outings, salon treatments. I have had nothing but excellent experiences with my Groupons. My one gripe is when receiving med spa services, some places stipulate tipping on the full amount of service (not the Groupon price). I'm sorry, I just don't agree. Some of these Medical spa treatments like I-Lipo or Lipo-Ex are way over priced and extremely brief services with little to almost no work for the technician administering these services. Many require getting laser paddles strapped on to the body and the timer set on the machine and the technician leaves the room. I was a bit resentful of the somewhat demanding note posted on the wall of one med spa office. I use Groupon because I would not otherwise be able to afford these over priced med spa services and to have to add a $75 tip for a 20 minute treatment is just ridiculous and defeats the purpose. It also makes me wonder what sort of service I will get on my second treatment because I gave a tip based on what I paid for the Groupon.
Two years ago Groupon sent out a special deal for Christmas that gave me free money to spend in the future as bonus for any upcoming deals.
Last year I got a similar deal and sent my answer in good time before expiration date; this time Groupon did not even bother to confirm receiving my Email. First after calling them by telephone to get a confirmation from the office clerk that my Email - probably - was received did not help as the operator told me that all of the tickets with free money were gone and unavailable, but the 45th operator told me that I was number 43 of 900 available deals. No body of the operators that I spoke to could help me further and my personal conclusion is that no Christmas present for 2014 was to be received from Groupon.
Apart from this Groupon does not always have the BEST deal for the buck; quite effortlessly I have received the same or lower price at several deals that were announced online through groupon only by showing the price when eating at restaurant to the waiter.
Tip for consumers:
Before using any of the coupons try to check with the local store for better price
Groupon is the largest "daily deal" site, selling vouchers for discounted local experiences and services such as restaurants and spas, as well as travel packages, shopping, and a number of other items. Vouchers are purchased upfront and typically must be redeemed by a certain date, after which time Groupons expire. To businesses Groupon markets itself as a way to drive new customers. Groupon is a public company (NASDAQ: GRPN) and is based in Chicago, IL.
Hi Teresa,
Thank you for sharing your feedback on SiteJabber. We're so sorry you had a poor experience with our site. We apologize as well that an item arrived to you damaged; quality control is important to us, so when item arrives in less than perfect condition, that concerns us. Since we're a flash sale site, our inventory is limited and items tend to sell out quickly, which is why you were unable to order the shoes the first time around. It's likely that you were taken off the waitlist a few days to a week later due to added inventory from returns. I would like to look into this further, unfortunately, I do not have enough information to look you up in our system. Can you please private message me your order number and user id, as well as any other relevant information so I can get to the bottom of this right away? Thanks very much and I look forward to hearing from you.
Best,
