“Sketchy”

For exactly 120 for a couples massage was not reflected on my account. I contacted groupon and gave them the order number in question as well as screenshots of my confirmation email. Instead of inquiring on the issue they refunded a second groupon voucher I bought for a movie ticket in the amount of 26.45 when I paid 29.45 and skipped out on paying my 3 additional dollars. When I contacted them a third time, my email was blocked. I would have been fine calling and explain this issue but there is no customer service number. Beware of the bs. Groupon is sketchy.

We were so excited my husband was given this as a birthday gift…. The extra expenses have been ridiculous… extra $100 each to fly out from Brisbane… extra costs to sit together on flight… car hire for 3 days cause a very basic motel is not near city, beach, etc…. We were not honoured any of our three Friday and Saturday night options… had to fly out on a Thursday… taking away our income (haven't even gone and down $1060)… gosh I hope our bottom of the peeking order destination is worth it!

Purchased Groupon dining offer for 2. Paid $49, value, $178.90. Used 7/11/15. Included: Wine tasting for 2; 3 whites, 3 reds. Value: $35, per person. Wines were mediocre and pourings, skimpy. Appetizer for 2: Each serving consisted of: 1 piece salami, 1 piece pepperoni, 1 piece rolled ham, 2 pieces of cheese, 4 olives, 1 mini hot pepper & 1 piece of toasted bread. Terrible! Value: $26, per person? Value: In reality, $3! 2 Entrees: skirt steak with spinach. Steak was barely chewable. Spinach was burnt & tasted like "dirt!" In lieu of 2nd entree, chose 2 appetizers. Roasted egg plant; mozzarella cheese was not edible, neither was egg plant, which was floating in a red sauce that had the consistency of tomato soup. Stuffed portabello mushroom looked awful & tasted worse! Value: $21.95 each! Server had an attitude, decor was dated, sparse and worn. The WORST dining experience... EVER!

Tip for consumers:
My tip..........DON'T frequent 1742 Wine Bar, 1742 Second Avenue in NYC. Money would be better spent at McDonalds!! $49 can buy lotsa Burgers and fries!!!!

Booked a sailboat for Offshore Adventure through Groupon I do not often write negative reviews but my experience with this company has been AWFUL! My boyfriend had booked a sailboat for 6 people back in May, and the day of the outing, we received a phone call saying that due to weather, our trip was being cancelled. It DID NOT rain a single drop that day, however it was during a Blackhhawks playoff game, so we were weary... Anyways, upon asking to reschedule, we were told there were no available dates until September and we could not be refunded... We rescheduled for today, September 21st. This morning we received a phone call, again, saying that due to thunderstorms, our trip had been cancelled for a second time. Once again, it DID NOT rain! When we called and asked for a refund they said they do not refund based on weather cancellations and we explained how the weather has been fine both times and they still said no. Now the only date they gave us was for a Tuesday in October... we cannot do this as I am in class. They said if not, we can reschedule for NEXT YEAR! This is by far, the most god awful costumer service we have ever experienced... honestly HORRIBLE! They are refusing to refund us, despite the fact that both times, they have cancelled, not us! I know that they will just continue to claim it was the weather but at this point, any company with morals and decency would offer us a refund

Tip for consumers:
DO NOT BUY get aways, outings, boat tours or anything that is not tangible! If these are cancelled for some reason, you will never see your money again1

Twice, I have been 'double charged' and I've canceled one of the 'orders' I didn't make and twice I have been charged and the item has been shipped anyway. The First time, I accepted "GROUPON BUCKS" as a 'refund', and only because my business also has a Groupon Offer for sale. Because it was Christmas time and I figured I'd use it, and conceded the in-store credit.

This time, Customer Service has blown me off completely and is ignoring my messages after I threatened to report fraud with my credit card company. No mention of a refund has been offered.

PrinterPix and Printerpix USA are fraudulent companies and Groupon will not stand behind the product that they sell. I recently bought a Groupon for a 50 x 60 inch personalized Sherpa blanket. They charged me for this using the Groupon I had purchased for $18.95. Then they charged me the correct shipping for it of $25.99! What I received was a hand towel sized thin piece of material with skewed images on it. It was 20 x 30 inches. Complete garbage. I attempted to call customer support 3 times only to be hung up on 5 minutes into each call, never reaching a customer service agent. I tried instant chat. That did not work, so I sent them an email 2 weeks ago, and still have not had a reply.

I then contacted Groupon to see if they could help me, only to be told it is the "merchant's sole responsibility to fulfill the order." The problem I have with Groupon is that they don't stand behind their products they sell and they are STILL selling the same Groupon after finding out that Printer pix is a scam company with a BBB rating of a D and so many complaints that they will not recommend them.
Groupon did finally give me a $7.00 credit, but the Groupon I supposedly used was $18.99. I had purchased 2 different Groupons from them and traded my second one in at a fraction of what I paid for it. Beware of Groupon deals and the websites like Printerpix and Printerpix USA that they offer Groupons for. It's a scam company who will not send you what you ordered or try to rectify the situation.

Tip for consumers:
Groupon will not stand behind their Groupons when you encounter a problem with the merchant. They say that it is the soul responsibility of the merchant to fulfill the order. So you lose not only your money on Groupon, but the Shipping on the order as well, which cc can be quite steep. Check rating on merchants before buying from them.

Products used:
The Shutterfly book and the AMF Bowling. The Printerpix Groupon was a complete and utter scam.

Groupon will rob you of hours of your life if you have a problem. I bought Nutra System but the coupon I purchased was expired after purchase. I called Groupon and was told there was a 2 HOUR WAIT TO TALK TO A REPRESENTATIVE. I actually hung on for 2 hours to be told that the coupon was active and to reactivate. The coupon was not active so I called my credit card company to report not receiving goods paid for. After several months, the credit card company said Groupon had activated the coupon. After several more attempts I gave up and paid the bill. DID NOT WANT TO BE ON HOLD FOR 2 MORE HOURS. TERRIBLE SERVICE! AND A SCAM!

I purchased a set of paintball tickets from Groupon UK from a company called Ministry Of Paintball.

The deal looked really good, they were selling the tickets for £3 for 2 people to go and play paintball at any of there 100 sites around the country.

When it came to booking myself and friends in I learnt I would have had to pay around another £170 to book my day for 15 friends...

There was no mention of this on Groupon, whatsoever... and I did actually get a refund from Groupon, looks like loads of people were like me p**sed off.

What annoyed me even more was the fact that this company had scammed people before using Groupon, and had already had complaints, and yet Groupon were still hosting their deals... here's 2 articles. http://new.ukpba.org.uk/industry-news/view/ministry-of-paintball-scam.html

http://www.free-press-release.com/news-groupon-forced-to-refund-2-026-vouchers-after-ministry-of-paintball-scam*******525.html

Kid makes you wonder if they actually give 2 hoots, if they carry on hosting deals for companies that are constantly scamming people.

I'm going to go ahead and echo the remarks about the customer service being absolutely awful at ideeli. If you choose to shop there, you are taking a big risk. It's great if everything with your order goes fine, but if something goes wrong, be prepared for a giant nightmare.

I have had to return half of the items that ideeli has sent me because I am continuously sent the wrong items. In fact, I have actually been sent the EXACT SAME wrong item TWICE. Ideeli will try to charge you for shipping for their error, and they will try to only give you store credit. When it's the company that makes the error, you'd imagine they'd be bending over backwards to apologize and keep you as their customer. NOT SO with ideeli.

For me, it's gotten to the point where it's just not worth the risk anymore. There are plenty of other websites just like this one that I can use and I don't have to worry about getting screwed over yet again. And, as an additional bonus, I will actually get the items I ordered!

DON'T TAKE THE RISK. IT IS NOT WORTH IT.

Hi Chelsea,

I'm extremely sorry to hear this, and do understand your frustration. I can assure you that if a return is a result of our error or defective product, you will receive a refund of the full cost of the item and shipping charges. As such, I'd like to personally look into the incident(s) you've referenced and see if anything out of the ordinary occurred. I encourage you to send me the order details via private message. I'll look into it right away!

I have purchased several items on behalf of my family members from Ideeli a few years ago. Back then, they had great customer service and I didn't have any issues with Ideeli.

Recently, I decided to purchase something for myself. I saw a flatware set which was at a good value and I bought the item. Since I was already buying this flatware set, I decided to buy other items to make use of the one-time shipping.

I should have known better that the sale was too good to be true. After they shipped the items that weren't really on sale, they sent me an email saying that my order was cancelled because they don't have the item. However, the next day, my item was back on sale again! SURPRISE!

I reordered the items and of course, it is on infinite delay until further notice. It takes forever to connect to the chat, and when I did connect to the chat, the customer service representative kept telling me to cancel the order (instead of actually helping me). I could just feel their laughter as they repeat, "We don't have any information. Do you want to cancel your order?"

Now I don't even know if I'm ever getting my stuff.

TLDR: They lure you in with good sales hoping that you'll buy other things which are non-refundable. Then they cancel the item which they use to lure you in and ship the rest of the crappy items. You end up paying for shipping and buying things which aren't really a good deal.

Tip for consumers:
Don't expect to actually get anything from them! They entice you with good deals so that you'll buy several items from them, then remove the item which was ACTUALLY a good deal.

Bought the mattress groupon (pay $75 for a $300 voucher). I read all the fine print and felt that I understood (did not apply to online orders, delivery charges). I went into the store and chose my mattress set that was listed at $699 and on sale for $399. The employee advised me that the mattress was not in the store but he could have it delivered to me or I could arrange to pick it up the next day... or I could go to the other store to pick it up. I told him we had the truck and wanted it then and I wouldn't mind going to the other store to get it. Great, he said and offered to do the paperwork and call them to let them know I would be on my way. I handed him my groupon and he then told me that he would take the $300 off the pre-sale price and my cost would be $399 plus tax. He further advised me that although it does not say on the groupon that it does not apply to sale prices, they do not honor the voucher off sale prices. That being said, if I had walked out with that mattress, I would have paid an extra $75 than had I not bought the stupid groupon. I told the employee that they were running a complete scam and he said "I only work here". Will never buy a groupon again.

My problem with Groupon is that they manipulate the list pricing to exaggerate your supposed saving to make the deal look better than it really is. Take one of their latest listings for a refurbished 10'' Motorola HD Xoom Tablet with a list price as $600. Unfortunately for any potential buyer, the actual list price for a NEW 10'' Motorola HD Xoom Tablet, on Motorola's site, is $499 for a NEW tablet. The list price for a refurbished tablet, on Motorola's site, is only $279! So THE ACTUAL SAVINGS is only $20. I sent an Email to them exposing this and they replied with this,
"Sorry for any confusion. It is never our intention to mislead anyone about the value of a Groupon.
The value and discount percentage listed on each deal reflect the regular full price for that product or service. If the business offers other temporary discounts or decides to change their standard pricing after their deal is featured, the relative savings and value might change.
Unfortunately, we cannot foresee or control these changes. That said, we work very hard to make sure that the deals we feature are the best in town."
I responded to their response to point out again that the problem is that the list price posted isn't for the same refurbished product that they are offering a discount for, it's for a new product; but they don't seem to have a problem with that.

I took a trip to California and purchased a hotel room via Groupon. Upon arriving and having some issues with logging into my account, I found out that not only had it been flagged and deactivated, but the hotel reservation had been cancelled without any form of notification to me. On top of that, the hotel I had reserved at was completely booked with no rooms available. As I tried to figure out where I would be staying (I was already in California), I first spoke with a customer service representative whom said there was nothing that could be done. She then put me on the phone with her supervisor who was extremely careless and completely uncooperative. After wasting well over an hour on the phone, her response was that she could send me a list of the other hotels available on Groupon for the days needed, and that I could try finding another place to stay. But to make up for having no place to go, helping me by creating a list I could easily search myself, and after asking several times how she could help me, she offered $30 in Groupon Bucks. I spent well over $900 (it was refunded, but still without informing me) and I was offered $30 in Groupon Bucks I am very disappointed in my experience. I hope this is not a reflection of Groupons customer service and I hope I will be contacted to rectify the situation. Next time I am travelling, I certainly wont be using Groupon!

Groupon customer service is completely powerless. I received an email inviting me to join their select membership today. It was a one day offer, where they would give you 50% off one item if you joined for six months. So I joined, and was not able to get the 50% off no matter what I did. So I decided to contact customer service. I don't know what the heck is going on, But you can't call Groupon, you have to wait for them to call you back, and he can take hours. When someone does finally call, They tell you your problem is fixed, when it is not. I emailed twice, I chatted with someone three times, And I made two phone calls where I had to wait for someone to call me back. The second call kept me on the phone so long the call finally dropped. I received an email from one of these customer service reps telling me that because I had already use the 50% off coupon I couldn't use it again! But I never used it because it never worked! So I finally got a hold of someone on the chat and demanded that they cancel my membership since they did not fulfill the agreement of the membership, and they wasted half my day trying to get this fixed. I am a very long time customer of the Groupon. I've spent a lot of money with that site, but I've now erased the app from my phone, and unsubscribed from all of their emails. I can't believe they treat long-term customers this way. I cannot recommend Groupon any longer

I thought this site was awesome, UNTIL, I had to return an oder. Finally had to callmy credit card company and disput the charge. Thank goodnes I am an excellent credit card customer and Mastercard values its customers not like ideeli. I ordered two dresses, didnt like them, got a return label, sent them back. Got an email stating one dress was credited. After many many LIVE CHATs ( because there is no phone number) I still cant get a credit. They say only one item was in the box. No one wil cal and i gt a canned response every live chat. Never agaain. WARNING! If a site does not have a live customer suuport number where you can place orders and talkto a human do not use them. And do not order anything that you ar enot certain you will keep!

Contrary to what some people have written I've had no problems with Groupon thus far. I purchased two Groupons for 1/2 off and didn't use them for several months. Groupon even emailed me twice to remind me to use them.

So last week we took a friend to The Wine Cellar of Eustis (Florida) with one of the Groupons and we had a great time, first class service, awesome food & drinks and even had great conversation with the owner of the place who was tending bar at the time. He was very receptive and pleasant and his waitress was well informed of the Groupon certificate and how it worked. We could not have asked for better service and the owner even sent over a complimentary spinach/artichoke dip w/ crackers for us to try.

So in the end it was a win-win, as we will most definitely go back there and the owner now has 3 of us to spread the good news to our friends and neighbors. And for you skeptics... this is not a new business, nor is it a dump. By the time we left the place was full of regular visitors who were there to eat, drink & hear the live music with rave reviews.

I purchased a hotel room on Groupon for the Ramada in Glenwood springs. When I looked up the Ramada to find directions I found out that the business was permanently closed. I drove over to the hotel and it was no longer in business and was taken over by another hotel. I was not able to redeem the Groupon so I immediately contacted Groupon customer support and explained the situation. I send pictures of the hotel that was now there, pictures of the website saying it was permanently closed and pictures of the Groupon they advertised for the Ramada. It took them forever to get back to me and when they did they told me that there was nothing they could do. They also told me that if I contacted them sooner they could have done something but I have proof that I contacted them immediately. They told me for weeks that they were working on the issue and would get back to me but I constantly had to contact them. They are very rude and do not care about their customers at all. Do not trust Groupon getaways.
