For exactly 120 for a couples massage was not reflected on my account. I contacted groupon and gave them the order number in question as well as screenshots of my confirmation email. Instead of inquiring on the issue they refunded a second groupon voucher I bought for a movie ticket in the amount of 26.45 when I paid 29.45 and skipped out on paying my 3 additional dollars. When I contacted them a third time, my email was blocked. I would have been fine calling and explain this issue but there is no customer service number. Beware of the bs. Groupon is sketchy.
We were so excited my husband was given this as a birthday gift…. The extra expenses have been ridiculous… extra $100 each to fly out from Brisbane… extra costs to sit together on flight… car hire for 3 days cause a very basic motel is not near city, beach, etc…. We were not honoured any of our three Friday and Saturday night options… had to fly out on a Thursday… taking away our income (haven't even gone and down $1060)… gosh I hope our bottom of the peeking order destination is worth it!
I bought a quad bike for my son for Christmas through groupon.es and a company called import3000.es. On christmas day he received it as a present, and I filled it with petrol. The tank leaked all over the drive, my son cried for ages, and told me it was hi worst Christmas ever. I took it to a motorcycIe repair shop a few days later whom told me the bike was broken and I would need to buy a new tank and pay for fitting it. I got in touch with Groupon to get a refund, which they refused stating that they would not consider a refund as the bike was purchased from their partner, and that they were a middleman, although I paid Groupon for the bike. They gave me details of their partner whom would not reply to my emails or phone calls. After numerous emails to Groupon, their customer service representative Nadne told me baically to go away as I was wasting their time continuously writing to get my money back, which would never happen. The bike now stands in the garage and I feel totally ripped off as Groupon will not get involved at all, I will never use them again, awfull, absolutely awful.
Bought a restaurant coupon and did not notice the fine print that said a 10% charge would be added to the whole bill BEFORE the coupon discount given. WTF?
Please be carefull better pay more money and other web because aI buy 3 times diferents products and the res are freking fase. Omg I cant beleive that... I never ever buy nothing more in groupons
I was always a fan of Groupon for over 5 years because its deals are quite interesting and I was wondering why many people complained about it until problems started to happen to me last year. It is a tricky bait. My $55.50 Groupon Bucks and an $50 unused Restaurant Voucher were gone. Three Groupon supervisors I spoke to on the phone agreed that I should be refunded properly should the company decides to deactivate my accounts without informing me. However, upon their escalations to the tech team per their promises, the same response emails I received were the same, short and no explanation of the missing Bucks: "Upon reviewing your account, we encountered a violation of our Terms of Service and closed the account. This decision cannot be appealed."
Here is a sample scenario: if you have more than 1 account (to understand this, if you had 1 in the past several years and another one now, OR you have only 1 and your wife has 1, these are considered "more than 1 account"), Groupon will someday (soon or later, until it happens to you) close all your accounts and therefore all of your Groupon Bucks (which is Groupon Giftcard that you purchased from your pocket, so it is your money) plus any unused Groupon Vouchers will be gone. It means the company will take all of your money without informing you until you discover it by yourself. Search google for it and you will know. I came to realize that the company does not seem to keep customers' last Groupon Bucks balance when they deactivate consumers' accounts and therefore the only way to say is to forget the topic of the missing Groupon Bucks and instead only say there is a violation.
You are already warned!
So i ordered a pair of swarvowski zirconia earrings from their "goods" section on Jan. 28th for $20. After deal ended, they were guaranteed to ship within 7-10 days. Good. In time for Valentines day right? Wrong. Its now Feb. 17th. Still no earrings. After 3rd time calling and them telling me "if its not there by the end of the day call us tomorrow". So finally i said enough, i want my money back. The women gave me a full refund to my acct, credited me $20 in "groupon bucks' and told me the earrings were on them. Whenever they decided to actually arrive. Let me just say --->EVERY PERSON I DEALT WITH AT GROUPON was extremely polite and accommodating. I never got a stitch of impatience or attitude with them. They are very pleasant to deal with their customer service is AWESOME. I know it is the merchants fault for the shipping problem. This women went to every extent to explain why it happened and must of apoligized ******* times. SUPER NICE! Thanks groupon... i WILL be dealing with you again!
I wish I could give 0 stars. I work the night shift so I usually shop online. I've shopped at Ruelala, Gilt, Hautelook and I understand that the 9.95 shipping fee is the price I pay for convenience. But this site is unreasonable.
I ordered something to give to a friend of mine for her birthday. I ordered it 3 weeks before the party since I figured that would buy me enough time and the last day of the "estimated date of delivery" window was 2 days before the party so I thought I was in good shape. A week later, the tracking number they gave me still didn't work so I used the live chat and they said sometimes it's not updated so give it some time and they weren't able to track it without the tracking number. While waiting, I ended up buying something else since I had the free shipping for 30 days and that package came quickly, a week after ordering it while I still didn't have tracking info for my first order. 2 days before the party, I finally get a working tracking saying it just left their place 3 weeks after I made the order. So I was livid, since that was supposed to be a present for a party happening in 2 days... It gets worse. My order finally gets to New Jersey, to a different city (which is normal) but then the next day, it goes back to Maryland... Then back to North Carolina? You would think there was something wrong with the address I gave but they had gotten it right one time already! Why make the mistake now so I spoke to someone again and she gives me $10 credit for my inconvenience? Are you serious, what am I gonna do with that? I had to buy another present, then the stress that it brings is ridiculous.
Worst is, my sister ordered something with my account because of the free shipping and the same thing happened. It went to New Jersey then was sent back to Maryland. As we speak, I am on a live chat with them and it's just so unreasonable. I don't understand how a company could thrive while messing up this much. They should just have free shipping then it would be worth the wait. I might as well order from Asia, it will come sooner than theirs.
Ridiculous! I would say IT IS NOT WORTH IT! The things they sell are the same as Ruelala and Hautelook, just wait til they put out the sales.
I purchased a voucher from groupon for 6 treatments of IPL costing approx £129. However after my first treatment, the beauticians were clearly RIPPING ME OFF by placing restrictions on the treatment areas just so i would buy extra treatments for those areas they should be doing with the voucher i purchased. After my 1 AND ONLY TREATMENT i contacted groupon and requested a refund of my voucher. They told me to contact the beauticians to request refund although i had tried that by emailing and leaving them messages, which they did not respond to. Groupon agreed to contact the beauticians on my behalf and over a week later told me i could not get a refund as this had to be approved by the beauticians! Groupon offered me £10 voucher instead! I was INSULTED, OFFENDED, and DISMAYED by GROUPON'S decision. They expected the beauticians to agree they were ripping me off, for me to get a refund, which is LUDICROUS and ABSURD. Groupon are quite happy to take your money and to affiliate themselves with businesses that are UNSCRUPULOUS, AND UNPROFESSIONAL. Poor service costs me £129.00 but costs groupon only £10!
DO NOT BUY VOUCHERS FROM GROUPON. THEY USE CROOKED, DECEITFUL DODGY BUSINESS LEAVING CUSTOMERS AT THEIR MERCY.
I've ordered many times from GROUPON and it's been disappointment after disappointment, and not to mention RIP OFF.
Ordered some BEBE sunglasses, they sent me the wrong color.
Ordered lawn care services, the Company did not show up on the last appointment, not fulfilling the GROUPON and what I paid. GROUPON did NOTHING about it. Once the voucher is redeeemed, it's out of there hands. So basically you can order a service and if it's a con, rip off or crappy business who does not follow through, or provide crappy service, you're out of luck and out of the money you spent.
Recently we purchased the GROUPON for a full house air duct cleaning, from Air Duct Cleaning Services, out of Modesto, CA. http://www.aductcleaning.com/ DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. Needless to say, it was a complete and total rip off. They did not clean our ducts and were only in our home for maybe 30 minutes. Did not have a tall enough ladder to service all of our vents. Left my home a mess, and tried to convince us that our furnace needed cleaner which would cost an additional $200, which was cheap, regularly $400.
I have cancelled my GROUPON account. And will never do business through this site again.
You get what you pay for. And there is a reason why crappy businesses do business through GROUPON.
Received my ferragamo wallet and it was very different from what was pictured on the site. I did the live chat to tell them my merchandise was different. Got Tricia, she was the most unhelpful rep I've had the displeasure of live chatting with. She told me to review my order and come back later. I wanted my wallet issue taken care of first because on the site I bought it as as a final sale. No where during the entire conversation I had with her she told me Ideeli would take the return. Just kept telling me to go back and review my order and then come back to talk to them. What the... I firmly asked to speak with her supervisor and for her give me time frame of call back. She didn't, she just hung up on me. Some lady supervisor called me, didn't bother telling me her name, she told me she wasn't sure what was going with the order and told me hold while she got caught up. (Really? How unprofessional. At least know what's going on before you call) I told the story myself, then she started schooling me about when I should speak... yeah right lady. I'm calling because I'm dissatisfied with a $400 wallet. Do you think I care about the other merchandise right now? In the end, I read her the transcript of my conversation with Tricia and even she admitted her rep had made a mistake. I asked her, what are you going to do about my wallet. She nonchalantly replied, sorry we probably don't' have any of those available so only a return. The way the supervisor handled that conversation was atrocious. Honestly, I knew I was shopping at a bargain site and probably should have stopped me right there and then. I'm not expecting nordstrom or bloomingdale's level of service here but at least try to address the point the customer is trying to make and don't assume we can read your mind. Also train your managers and reps better. I could hear her groaning, sighing, and expressing her frustration at me because I was making legitimate points about what was wrong with her rep's way of handling my transaction. I wash my hands of this site. I thought with ideeli getting someone from bloomingdale's to head their business they would improve; sadly that doesn't seem to be the case. STAY AWAY!
Hi Jessica,
Thanks for your feedback here on SiteJabber. I'm really sorry to hear about these issues you've had with our Customer Service team and had the supervisor of our evening team reach out to you about this interaction and the wrong item you received. She let me know that she was able to reach you over the phone and listened to everything that happened and gifted you with 1st row membership, a $25 gift voucher and a 20% off code to make up for the used on this order. You should have also received a free return label to return the other items you were wanting to return.
You should have received an email from the supervisor you spoke with in regards to the phone call and so that you were able to contact her directly if you need any further information. I deeply apologize for the experience and sincerely thank you for allowing us to help resolve this issue. Please let me know if there is anything else I can assist with and I'll be happy help. Thanks so much for being a part of ideeli.

My mother has been a member if Ideeli for years and they just put out a promo for a free $10. After using the code and still paying money i referred close to a hundred family members and friends to the site. Almost 20 of us have received emails saying that they are canceling our orders due to fraud…. I have read their entire terms and conditions and NOTHING that any of us have done was fraudulent. Whats funny is the friends and family that made larger purchases weren't cancelled and their orders are on track but the family members and friends that were able to get items for free with the code or nearly free have not only had their orders cancelled, but have also had their accounts closed with them. They will not get back in tough other than an automated response saying that the order was canceled due to fraud. Even finnier, is they will replay with an automated response that doesn't even answer your questions, but the ones that madre large purchases and have tried to cancel because they are disgusted aren't even getting a response. Which means that ideeli wants to keep their money and make them pay to return. One of the worst sites possible and will stick with the ones we know from now one. BEWARE to all! DO NOT USE THIS SITE!
Hi Brooke,
We appreciate that you took the time to give us your feedback here on SiteJabber. I'm sorry to hear about this issue. If any of the new ideeli accounts had like information, they are in violation of our terms & conditions for membership since one member cannot have more than one account. You can view our terms & conditions here: http://www.ideeli.com/pages/terms_and_conditions. If you or your family and friends do not have any additional ideeli accounts and believe this account was closed in error, please let me know.
I'm sorry if our team hasn't yet responded to any emails sent. They are working to respond to each member individually and it does take time for our agents to get back to you when you write in, typically not more than 24 hours.
I'd very much like to look into these issues for you and find out why the orders were canceled. Please send me a private message with the order numbers and I will look into it and get back to you. Thanks so much for being a part of ideeli and I look forward to hearing from you.

Sure Groupon may have some good deals (after they rip off the merchant that is providing that deal), but once in a while, they make mistakes in the terms of the deal, and then try to cover it up later by changing the terms even after people have purchased it.
I've had this happen to a recent deal that I purchased. The terms were changed on the Groupon AFTER I had purchased it. It is obvious what had happened just from reading the Question and Answer page for the deal, where most of the concern is the term that was changed. Other customers on the same page had comments such as: "Hi! I bought this groupon maybe 2 hours ago, and I'm pretty sure the guidelines didn't include the "sun-thurs visits only" until now when i checked the site again. Why is there a sudden change in requirements that wasn't in place when I bought the groupon initially? And it looks like the question above me asked about the Fri/Sat usage and someone from Groupon replied that it is valid for fri/sat visits (and didnt comment about the $20 surcharge)... ".
Reading some of the other reviews of Groupon, it's not the first time that it has happened:
http://www.missmouthy.com/2011/03/09/groupon-buyers-beware/
http://www.hellopeter.com/take2takealot/complaints/changing-the-fine-print-on-a-groupon-offer-*******
http://www.retaildoc.com/blog/groupon-worst-marketing-business/
In the end, I sent an email to Groupon's customer service and they will probably refund it, but changing the terms on a deal hoping that people won't notice their original mistake is just plain shady. Shame on Groupon!
HORRIBLE SITE, HORRIBLE "DEALS", HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. AND THE BUSINESSES ON THERE ARE GARBAGE ABOUT TO GO OUT OF BUSINESS OR SELLING "REFURBISHED" USED GARABAGE
Even though they claim Groupon Bucks never expire, I lost $20 and they didnt want to give them back. No more Groupon deceiving for me.
Tip for consumers:
Dont buy deals that promise Groupon Bucks back.
Products used:
Things-to-do
Groupon is a scam... Do not buy anything expensive from them. Do not buy concert tickets! Make sure you read fine print!
Tip for consumers:
READ FINE PRINT. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING EXPENSIVE.
Products used:
Concert tickets. Haven't even gotten then yet.
Do not want to be sent emails by sitejabber but can't seem to get away from this please delete this review and my email from your records
This company is totally scam!
It list the goods are brand new.
But actually it is used. Many dirty on it. Make me feel sick!
Be careful.
This is not a good website. I thought they gave the cheapest price but turn out their price is higher than ebay for the same exact item.
I order jeans from there website you wont believe my sister and there friends love it so much. I also recommend to everyone shop from ideeli only.

I purchased an airfryer through this mob, when i paid it said something went wrong, and i got no reciept information (as it did not offer paypal for this particular item, i reluctantly used my debit card) what a mistake that turned out to be. I went and checked in my order section and there was nothing in there, so i assumed the deal didnt go through. As i could not be positive the transaction failed, i decided to check my bank, there was nothing in there either, so i assumed it had failed. The next day i checked them all again and nothing on groupon, and no more of the offers either, checked my bank and $97 pending for China Post, somewhere in Beijing. 2 days later the money had gone out of my account, so i checked groupon again (nothing), checked with the bank and they couldnt give me anymore info accept cancel your card, i contacted Groupon and they said they needed a copy of my bank statement proving payment, i sent them this, then contacted them again and got a different person who said i needed to send them a copy of my receipt, which i never received. They then told me they couldnt help me, and cut the conversation. I told them they must have a record of people selling things through their site, they said sorry cant help until you send your receipt. I gave them the details i had, they said we cant help you, and cut the conversation. So in a nutshell, people do not trust this mob, i will never purchase outside of Ebay again, needless to say i lost my $97
GROUPON IS A RIPOFF! BEWARE!
Fraud un professional sold me an expired tickets for royal candian circus they promised to refund me I lost $78 for nothing
They have terrible customer service, you can't get anyone on the phone. I ordered 2 sweaters and they were never delivered. Terrible!

Used promo code to get deal. Then soon after words the business went out of business. Groupon would do nothing to compensate.
Have order a couple of times from Groupon and have been very happy as you always good a lot for your money.
Why would anyone pay full price for anything after knowing about Groupon. I love Groupon and I don't leave home without it!
Not always the cheapest but bargains to be had and unique offers by email daily. Used many times and not yet disappointed.
Groupon is the largest "daily deal" site, selling vouchers for discounted local experiences and services such as restaurants and spas, as well as travel packages, shopping, and a number of other items. Vouchers are purchased upfront and typically must be redeemed by a certain date, after which time Groupons expire. To businesses Groupon markets itself as a way to drive new customers. Groupon is a public company (NASDAQ: GRPN) and is based in Chicago, IL.
Hi Kimberly,
We appreciate that you provided your feedback here on SiteJabber. I'm so sorry that two of your packages were mis-routed by the post office and ended up somewhere in Maryland, with the first of them being returned to our fulfillment center and later reshipped. It seems that there may be a routing issue of some kind since it was shipped with the correct address and the post office shows the correct zip code and both packages originally made it to New Jersey but then were routed to Maryland.
One of the supervisors in our customer service department, Jessica, spoke with you on the phone in regards to this and is working to resolve everything that has happened. She has refunded you the $9.95 shipping charge from your first order with us since you've had so many shipping issue. She also issued you a refund for the newest missing package from order 74708466 that went to Maryland after it had been in NJ. Both refunds should post to the credit card used within 3 to 5 business days. If this package arrives back to our fulfillment center, as discussed, we will have it reshipped to you even though this refund was already done. Jessica is also checking with the USPS and our fulfillment center to find out why the routing happened this way and to help ensure this doesn't happen again and will make sure to follow up with you next week and let you know what she's found out. Please feel free to contact her at the number she gave you when you spoke today, as that is her direct line.
If you need any further assistance, please feel free to reach out to Jessica or let me know and I'll be happy to help. Thanks for being a part of ideeli.
