For exactly 120 for a couples massage was not reflected on my account. I contacted groupon and gave them the order number in question as well as screenshots of my confirmation email. Instead of inquiring on the issue they refunded a second groupon voucher I bought for a movie ticket in the amount of 26.45 when I paid 29.45 and skipped out on paying my 3 additional dollars. When I contacted them a third time, my email was blocked. I would have been fine calling and explain this issue but there is no customer service number. Beware of the bs. Groupon is sketchy.
We were so excited my husband was given this as a birthday gift…. The extra expenses have been ridiculous… extra $100 each to fly out from Brisbane… extra costs to sit together on flight… car hire for 3 days cause a very basic motel is not near city, beach, etc…. We were not honoured any of our three Friday and Saturday night options… had to fly out on a Thursday… taking away our income (haven't even gone and down $1060)… gosh I hope our bottom of the peeking order destination is worth it!
My credit card did the refund. Groupon only wanted to give me groupon bucks though this vendor was not available. My advise: before buying, research the vendor, make appointments ahead etc. Always pay with credit card or paypal. Complain to Groupon about their refund policy and don't use Groupon until they clean up their act, have a US phone number and US customer service!
Beware and don't use them because after 3 days they do not want to refund even though they sell items that don't exist. Pay with paypal and/or bank card and do a dispute. I will stop using Groupon. If more of you do, they will change.
For the most part I've been satisfied with my purchases. That being said, I have had a few unpleasant purchases as well! Most recently I purchased a Bamboo shoe rack. Was so excited when it arrived, that is until I opened it! Clearly this item was previously purchased and returned damaged and missing instructions as well as hardware needed to put it together! It was a non returnable item! I can see why! My advice is be careful of what you purchase especially non returnable items!
They really have amazing deals! I never buy anything expensive On the site just incase. I always research the place for the deal first which I recommend everyone to do because I have come across some places with horrid reviews. If you do your research and read all the details you can make an educated decision on whether you want that deal or not.
Groupon used to be good but somewhere down the line it just went downhill. I can not stress how much customer service sucks there. You can get some good deals, but you also risk getting the wrong product shipped to you and not getting a refund. Just getting Groupon bucks. I've stopped using them all together. I may revisit in another year or so and see if they got it together.
My Uncle purchased a gift for me from Groupon. When I went to redeem the redemption code was not working. I tried for months thinking I was doing something wrong. When I contacted them they gave me the run around. I went on Twitter to try to get their help and someone finally started to help. Then when my Uncle contacted them for the new redemption code(because they told me due to security purposes he had to reach out since he bought) all of a sudden no help. He was given the run around again and no help. We are so disappointed, Will NEVER use them again. Please beware.
There is only one reason i don't like about this company. They literally do kill businesses. I am never a big fan of big stores. I always will prefer smaller businesses. And as far as i can see, groupon does kill them. Not to mention the looks of those employees when you present a groupon coupon.
I purchased a Groupon because I was promised I would be able to return it should I choose to later.
Now I am told this is not possible only 3 days after. That little detail was hidden deep in the website, away from anyone deciding to make a purchase.
This practice is unethical and 100% unacceptable.
Groupon takes about 4 weeks to ship... and if you cancel the order they also take about two weeks to refund your money... I cancelled my order 10 minutes after the purchase and that's how long they took (twice)... you can find the same items on ebay for penny's more and get it delivered way faster.
I have been reaching out to Groupon for over a month now and they have flat out refused to help me. I'm extremely upset with Groupon. I purchased a dolphin cruise to use when me and my daughter went on vacation to Florida. After contacting the dolphin cruise - the company told me they would not be doing any cruises the week we were in Florida. Groupon list 2 different numbers for customer service and both numbers were disconnected. I sent email and was told they no longer had a customer service I could reach by phone.After many many attempts at voice chat and explaining my situation - I was told they came to a decision that they would not refund me or give me Groupon bucks because to much time had gone by. 75 dollars was wasted on something that was out of my control. I'll never use Groupon again.Worse customer service I've ever seen- so very disappointed in this company.
Groupon offers discount, could be a good thing except with Restaurants. Cheap is NO GOOD! Cheap for no good reason is especially bad.
I was skeptical about Groupon when my partner wanted to try out with restaurants. As soon as he brought up about that we must present the groupon as soon as we walk in the restaurant or even when we make the reservation. I sensed something fishy.
Restaurants want to boost volume at a lower price, that is understandable. But do they want to loose solid money for these discounted volume? This is questionable.
We found our answers and proves during our restaurants visits. How the restaurants remain consistent profit? They cut corners... which correspond to their need to know that the suckers (discounted eaters) are coming when you present your coupon.
There is no better explanation or any other reasons that Groupon holders must show it up front (before they are served).
You do the math.
I've been a member of Groupon since they launched, and other than a few interesting offers here and there, it's pretty forgettable. The offers were so much the same that I stopped reading it altogether, so maybe it's changed in the past year? It was a great idea to start, but has declined to 'meh' status since then. Most of the offers they had were no better than the offers you could get on the advertising companies' own websites, so... what's the point?
Purchased the ticket to a Skyzone, after being treated horrible before even it was our turn to get in, we refused to give them business and decided to return the ticket to get our money back, Groupon customer service refused to refund our money. They apologized for the bad experience, however because of their policy they don't refund the money. Never ever using this website again!
I ordered 2 pairs of shoes from Ideel.com and discovered that they had charged my credit card 3 times! Fortunately I am very diligent with checking my card balances and was able to have my bank stop the charges before Ideel got paid more than the cost of the purchase. I did contract customer service (live chat was the only option listed) and they apologized profusely via chat but said it was a "technical glitch". The shoes arrived and they were perfect! I love them and overall I am happy with my purchase but I feel very uncomfortable ordering anything else from Ideel.com. I really wish that there was a customer service phone number listed on their site as it feels very impersonal to have such a big issue and not have a human being to speak to.

When you place an order, we issue a temporary authorization hold on your card for the amount of your purchase. This hold is placed to verify that your card has not been reported as lost or stolen, and that the card is valid. The hold will drop off of your card within 3 to 5 business days and your card won't be charged until your order ships. In this case, the system authorized your card since our fulfillment center was attempting to ship the items. They made two attempts before actually shipping it out, and had to reauthorize due to the authorization holds being void after 48 hours. I do apologize that this wasn't explained to you previously.

This is the worst thing that ever happen to ideel.
I have been ordering for years. Now Customer service has no idea what is happening. I have been waiting for delivery on items since November orders screwed up. No phone number to speak to a human. I will never order from Groupon again.
If you ordered something off of Groupon it generally takes a looming time for it to arrive. Like very long. But its actually pretty cool to use when you are going on a trip and you need a good deal, or a cheap spa day. It does come in handy for those things.
I check this website periodically for great deals on restaurants and free trial offers for streaming services such as Tidal. I love the savings I have accumulated over the months. Check website and app for full range of discounts offered. Four stars because they regularly email me with information I can careless about.
I have purchase spa offer from groupon but when i tried taking appointment that parlor lady started shouting and using abusing language don't buy anything from groupon my many friends have very bad experience about it. They provide poor service. Now i am waiting for my refund. Let's see when i get it.
So... I bought a vibrator. One of the selling points was "arrives in discrete packaging." This was important, as I have to get my mail from a doorman in my apartment building. Groupon's version of "discrete" = a bag, which any idiot could clearly see/feel that the bag contained a sex toy.
I should add that my doorman was very eager to tell my I'd received a package. Now I can't show my face to this creep ever again. Oh wait, he's my door guy, so I have to see him every time I enter or leave my apartment.
Really bad service. Ordered a product, best part of £100. Wrong model sent out. Cannot do anything about this mistake. Offered to send the complaint to another department which takes 10 days. Or can process collection of item which takes another 14 days before they even process my refund. Very very bad business
Bought a Sue Wong dress as my first purchase. There were two areas where the beading was undone. I felt like they either packaged the dress knowing it was defected or they didn't handle it gently. When I received the package, the clear plastic was torn in areas and wrapped with packaging tape. I was worried about buying from this site with all the negative reviews, It turns out you're taking a 50/50 chance. The dress was the only size two they had in stock, so I'll keep it and take it to a seamstress to repair the beading. Now I have to spend more money to repair an issue I was not aware of...:(

I have been purchasing item from Ideel for many years, lately their customer service is horrible. I purchase 3 items, they only sent 2 and did not have the cutesy to tell me why the other one was not sent, I sent them a email, they send the item would be shipped between May 5-9 so far nothing has been shipped, When ever you place an order the item is always delayed, it is as if you have to send them email to remind them, lousy service

Often times, our sales will have shipping dates in the future and it's entirely possible if your'e shopping across sales to have multiple expected shipping dates. We will send your items from your order out as they are available. Theoretically, an order with 3 items could result in 3 separate shipments. I have sent several requests to stop receiving Groupon email offers, and they keep coming. Any company that you need to add to your span blocker to stop receiving emails is not a reputable company. Their subscriber numbers are clearly inflated. They did a great service to Google by not selling, in two years they will be begging to be purchased for a tenth the price.
Charge my credit for $19.50 (Ice Cream) and won't return our money. Groupon sent me an email stating that they found unusual activity was on my account. However, Groupon still will not return our money.
Beware of the 'subject to availability clause'. If they get booked out, and its past the 1 week period where you get your refund, they can only issue a partial refund. If you try calling, there are extremely long wait times and you need to email them early if you didn't book until later in the valid period. Technically you should be able to book at any time during the period in which it is valid... there were no warnings to tell you to book early in case you missed out. And you've paid and given 'consideration' under contract law so why should consumers still be subject to 'booking early'? I thought a place was guaranteed.
Great deals are as promised but their delivery promise is totally false. The products take at least a month after the order date for receiving. So, if you want the product fast Groupon is not the place to get it... however if you are patient with the very long delivery and the lack of response to customer inquire then order away.
