I like ideeli. The items are always sent out on time and the dates of shipment are clearly listed when ordering. Yes, sometimes orders take weeks but you can't complain because the dates of shipment for each item are listed under the price. It is up to the buyer if they want to wait that long. Ive found some great deals and some good quality pieces, everything has arrived new and in nice red wrapping paper. I had a few issues which were easily resolved by talking to a customer service rep. They're $9.95 monthly shipping charge is very fair if your a frequent shopper, however I wish they offered 2 shipping options, a one time $5.95 or monthly 9.95---that would be awesome! Also, sometimes they advertise red sales but the items I recognize from earlier in the month and at the same full price, I find this deceptive. But I do realize ideeli needs to make $, just dont advertise it as a red or closeout price when it is not.
We were so excited my husband was given this as a birthday gift…. The extra expenses have been ridiculous… extra $100 each to fly out from Brisbane… extra costs to sit together on flight… car hire for 3 days cause a very basic motel is not near city, beach, etc…. We were not honoured any of our three Friday and Saturday night options… had to fly out on a Thursday… taking away our income (haven't even gone and down $1060)… gosh I hope our bottom of the peeking order destination is worth it!
CAVEAT EMPTOR!
I bought a tv from Groupon, and the thing stopped working within 5 months.
When I contacted them, they told me that it wasn't their problem and they use 3rd party vendors. Tough luck.
NO. That's NOT how it works! YOU! GROUPON represent these third party vendors and there should be some sort of recourse.
I will NEVER use Groupon again!
Caveat Emptor!
I received a gift from a relative for Groupon. I could not redeem the gift by the code. I spent 3 days trying to resolve the issue. I was told the person that purchased the gift needed to contact. She had no success either. We asked for a phone number and I was told they don't presently have that. I asked for the CEO's address and they couldn't give me that. I googled the CEO phone number and address. The phone was constantly busy. I tried the chat and they were going to charge me a $1 which was refundable to solve the problem which I did not do. Who pays money to resolve an issue where I can't redeem the gift I was already given. Would not recommend that anything be purchased from Grou0pon.

ANGRY!
I put in an order, then get an email saying they cancelled it because they thought it was fraud. The email said "If you believe this order was incorrectly identified as fraud or you have any questions please reply to this note or email us at *******@ideeli.com." but gave no phone number. I replied to the email, saying it was incorrect and stupid me, I placed another order, even changing the credit card I used. THEN I get ANOTHER email saying my order was identified as fraud, and was cancelled. Ok, so I am glad that they are weary of fraud, but RESPOND TO THE EMAILS I SEND BACK! Horrid customer service! These items I ordered are limited time offers (if you know the site, this is old news) so I'm so disappointed and upset. Needless to say, I will not be spending any more time or money on this site.
The office canceled my appointment 3 times and then Groupon had the nerve to tell me I cannot get a my refund back, I have to get it in Groupon box. These people think I pick my money up from the street. Both of these companies need to be reported to consumer affairs. BE WARNED!
I"m glad I read down the BAAAAD reviews. Now that I know Groupon owns this company, I am cancelling Groupon.
There is no Jason Faria. He's either a robot signer or one of a hundred people in an Indian call center who have a list of answers they apply to random complaints.
Hi Amanda,
Thanks for contacting us through SiteJabber. Once your return was received by us and processed for store credit, we're always happy to remove the credit and apply it back to your credit card or PayPal. Since the item was already shipped out with the return label, the change could not be made while the return was in transit. The returns team at our fulfillment center isn't able to change the refund method but our CS team is always happy to help after the credit is processed.
I'm happy to help you receive the refunded amount back to your PayPal, while waiving the $8.95 processing fee for all non-store credit refunds, if it has not already been done. I apologize that the process wasn't better explained to you and will be happy to speak with the agents involved. Please let me know if I can help you resolve this issue and I'm very sorry that it happened. I hope this was already resolved and if it was not, please send me a message with the information. I look forward to ensuring this was resolved.
Best,

WITHOUT PRJUDICE and in my opinion:
I have just been told, we should have followed up on an order sooner and as such, they would not give a refund. I have then noticed the history of this company and I noticed they have defaulted on agreements on numerous occasions and kept the money. I have contacted the supplier and they confirmed they did not get the money that Groupon kept it.
There is a pattern forming where they non-supply and then keep the monies.
I have taken legal advice.
Tip for consumers:
DO NOT TRUST GROUPON.

I have ordered a product through groupon called the Magic Decanter which is a red wine airator thing to apparently make red wine taste better.
I ordered it over a month ago now and I still haven't received it. I've contacted the Magic Decanter company and no response. I've emailed Groupon twice and no response, I've phoned numerous times and NO ONE ANSWERS!
Their customer service is APPALLING.
How do i go about getting my money back and reporting these two outrageous, money grabbing companies that need to be shut down?
If anyone can help or has had a similar experience, please let me know.
Had good experiences. Until I had a PROBLEM! I have purchased and returned from this site many times in the past without issue - if item didn't fit etc wasn't the sites problem BUT now that I spent a $150 on an item that didn't arrive as described and with missing parts I have tried to reach customer service to NO AVAIL. I was promised an initial response in 24 hours hours but stated they usually respond in less than 4,,, well over 30 + hours for mine and then there their answer was. Send pics of the defective item ---- ok fair... I did SO 2 DAYS AGO still NO response. I am giving them 24 hours before I dispute charge with credit card... what a waste of my time! I shop a lot of sample sites and I have had NO or little issue with their customer service on bad or defective items or returns. First and as far as I'm willing shop LAST bad experience I want with this site!
Hi Rachel,
Thanks for sharing your feedback with us here on SiteJabber. I apologize for this issue and will be happy to help resolve it. It's possible that the agent you were working with may have been out of the office for the weekend when you responded. I apologize if that is the case but we do only have an initial response time but updated incidents are typically handled by the same agent who started working with you.
I'd love to help you resolve this issue and see if we can get a replacement sent to you or issue a refund if it is no longer available. Please provide me with your order number and, if you have it, the incident number in which the photos were sent, and I'll make sure to provide a resolution for you. From time to time if the photos were sent in a large file, the agent may not have received it due to the size of the attachment but I'll be glad to look into this and find out what happened.
I'm very sorry for this delay and look forward to helping you resolve this issue.

Biggest "bait and switch" I have seen in a long time. I googled a nearby light show I wanted to take my 84 year old, in a wheelchair, mom to. Groupon showed you could buy a groupon discount for it. I bought it and less than five minutes later tried to book it. The groupon is for a show over 60 miles away. I "chatted" to get a refund and groupon refused. My mom cannot be n a car for a 90 minute drive to go anywhere. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM GROUPON!
Tip for consumers:
Do not buy from Groupon. They cheat you.

While I am usually thrilled with my groupon purchases, this one is really disappointing! :( The Groupon advertises: 4-person dinner or lunch experience package: four dosa, four glasses of house wine, four desserts - Bawarchi Dosa.
Each diner receives the following: * One dosa (up to $9.99 value) * One glass of house wine (up to $5.99 value) * One dessert (up to $4.99 value)
When we got there the manager told us that there are no desserts on the menu that are $4.99 and that we have to pay the difference if we want to order any dessert. He also said we need to pay tax on all the items we order and that for 4 people the tax would not be less than $20.
I did not use the groupon and tried reaching out to groupon to resolve the issue. Their response was, they cannot do anything about it and I need to contact the merchant to resolve the issue.
Tip for consumers:
Call merchants and verify deals before you purchase the groupon!
Absolute nightmare! I joined as a friend sent me an invite and I wanted a wet carpet cleaner which they had on offer. It's a very longwinded process, where once I waited for the allotted time slot to buy the voucher, the codes then wouldn't work on the shop website, it said invalid, then it came up with error messages, then it said your product will be shipped in next 2 weeks, so I didn't know where I stood. Then I had to ring the shop once and Groupon twice - I ended up canceling the order and canceling my registration. I think you should be able to buy with groupon- i. E -they deal with the shop, instead of you collecting voucher, then having to go onto a shop site- as Groupon and the shop were blaming each other and I was getting nowhere.
Groupon is a scam. They sell vouchers, the businesses don't honour the vouchers then when you email Groupon they don't respond.
I bought a voucher for Woolton Picture House but when I tried to use it the cinema wouldn't honour the voucher. There is no small print with restrictions on the voucher. It clearly states the voucher can be used 7 days a week. It clearly states 'just choose a film, a friend and a date to go'. When I tried to see Harry Potter I was told I couldn't use the voucher to see that particular film.
I bought a voucher for a haircut. When I called to schedule the appointment, I was told that the business has asked Groupon to stop selling vouchers and that they had closed the business due to covid. I chatted with groupin and was told my money would not be refunded but i would be issued groupon bucks. This would be ok in other scenarios but not this one as groupon clearly was selling unauthorized vouchers and the business is closed for good due to a worldwide pandemic. Totally unfair
They sent me a email that had local deals list, one being half off at Donatos. On the screen that is show they list the name of the company, the discount and big green buy button. I thought great and bought it and thought great until they sent the voucher. It turns out the voucher was only good at one location 80miles away, and they call this local. This was the first time I had used and did not relize there is a bunch of fine print that you have scroll down below the green buy button. I sent a notice to cancell the deal right away (within a half hour) and they said that I missed the window to get refund. Their web page stated you had one day to cancell, but all they would do is give me groupon bucks, no cash back. I will never use them again.
I always had the best experience with groupon. I purchased the 2 groupons and wasn't able to use them before their expiration and neither was able to extend them. I contacted the customer support and was refunded the balance right away. It says a lot about customer support. Kelvin was very kind and professional and helped me get refund in no time. As a customer we want the best and groupon is the best
I moved to a new town and got a guopon for a hair cut, suppose to be a 60.00 value for 20.00 trust me it was a 20.00 haircut. More like a good attemp at a good hair cut then the real thing. I won't do it again
At the dawn of this service it was really good - actions, sales, big discounts and perfect service everywhere you buy the coupon for. The more I use it the more I see that staff is not that happy to see and take thhe coupons. Maby this is my personal observance but I do not feel like ordering groupons anymore.
Customer support is atrocious... if you have previous communication... they claim that they can't see it... they make you go over the whole issue again from the beginning... today customer support was from
South Africa... when they offer you Groupon Bucks as refund don't assume that they will apply them to your account?... I had to go back to them numerous times... I anything goes wrong... they throw you under the bus to fight it out with the vendor who probably knows that there will be no consequences either way... they should look to Amazon who has amazing customer service... For customer service I give Amazon 97 out of 100... I give Groupon 3 out of 100. Get off their site as fast as you can and block their promotions in case you get temped!
THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER... EVER. VERY UNSYMPATHETIC BUSINESS!
NO RETURNS. Don't go near them. You will lose all your money. NO RETURNS UNLESS FAULTY. My son bought me a 2-tier dish rack. It was absolute rubbish. Flimsy, rust-prone structure. Refunded him and BINNED it. Remember you will NOT get your money if you merely don't like the goods.
Groupon bought out Ideel - formerly Ideeli. Their quality is poor and they offer nowhere near the type or quality of vendors that Ideel(i) had. I used to be able to find merchandise from vendors I had never heard of and everything came packaged beautifully, on time, and at a great price for the quality and designer. Some deals on Groupon are good, but they offer the same ones all the time for local activities; however, I had one Groupon that the tour company stated that theu haven't used Groupon in more than a year. I also used 2 Groupons for flower deliveries (ProFlowers) to 2 people and they didn't apply the 2nd Groupon when I purchased them. I ended up losing the credit since I couldn't use out it in the time frame allowed and no one else I knew could use it. Extremely disappointed. The flowers delivered by ProFlowers were beautiful, but still disappointed in that they didn't credit my account for the difference. I do not have a poroof of purchase because
Tip for consumers:
Make sure if you purchase Groupons that the vendor still accepts them and that they apply the full Groupon accordingly.

I ordered 2 flower Groupons - purchased 2 of the same thing. The order was for 2 different addresses. Only 1 Groupon was applied. They credited one back to me but only to my Groupon account and I wasn’t able to use the credit and it expired. I specifically said when I ordered I had 2 Groupons, but they didn’t apply it correctly. They should have been able to apply the Groupon portion they didn’t credit me to the merchant or to the card IO used for the remainder of the order, but instead issued a credit to my Groupon account and it expired.
I ordered something on the 30th of August and today is the 19th of September and the item has not been shipped out. All they do is offer a refund. They don't know why it hasn't been shipped and don't know when it will be shipped.
Tip for consumers:
If you really need it think about it before you order.
I like group buyng sites in general and I feel that Groupon continues to be the best of the best. Whenever a Groupon business has disappointed me, tried to upsell me, or has not been responsive, Groupon quickly (most of the time under 5 minutes) refunded my money and appologized for the mistake. Most of the deals are great although some businesses are starting to catch on to the model and inflating prices in order to be able to offer a 50% or more discount to buyers. I've had issues with Living Social, Tippr, Kudzu, and other sites and Groupon's service is definitely the best of any of the sites I use.
I have tried call and email you Have nos
No customer support you've been horrible for the past year you are vendors literally don't come to work and one of the companies who did come to work he dammit all my furniture and ask for another $260 which I had to give him just to get out I was scared of him please refund all my monies
I bought two watches on Dec 18th, 2013. I received emails telling me they didn't forget my order and they were processing the order two weeks later. But today is Jan. 27,2014 and I didn't receive the order. So I went to check my order status, and found the status is still in process and so I clicked on the "tracking order", a noticed showed up saying the order doesn't exist because it has been canceled. Nobody emailed me about this canceling and I was forgotten by Groupon.
I bought a 1.5 CT Princess Cut engagement ring from Groupon and boy was it horrible. I paid $1,200 with a MSRP of $11k. Was so excited waiting for it but as soon as I opened the box, my heart sunk into my gut. I couldn't ask my girlfriend to marry me with this ring. I took it to multiple jewelers and none of them would buy it from me. Not even for $500! I tried to get a refund but they had a no refund policy. I will not buy anything from Groupon again!
Groupon is the largest "daily deal" site, selling vouchers for discounted local experiences and services such as restaurants and spas, as well as travel packages, shopping, and a number of other items. Vouchers are purchased upfront and typically must be redeemed by a certain date, after which time Groupons expire. To businesses Groupon markets itself as a way to drive new customers. Groupon is a public company (NASDAQ: GRPN) and is based in Chicago, IL.
Hi Brandi,
Thanks for giving us your feedback here on SiteJabber. As a matter of security, we sometimes require verbal confirmation of your order information, if your order is flagged for review by our Loss Prevention team. For this reason, we require you to include up-to-date and accurate contact information on each order when you check out. Since order 77377398 was your first order with us, our Loss Prevention team tried to reach you. We attempted to call you on Monday, June 23rd to confirm your first order. At that time, a voicemail was left asking you to reply back to us within 24 hours. Due to the limited-time nature of our business, we needed to hear from you in that timeframe and since we did not, we could not pass this order to our Fulfillment Center.
I have checked our e-mail and phone records from June 23rd through the 25th, and we have received no correspondence from you regarding the cancellation of that order.
On June 25th, you created a second order, and again our Loss Prevention team reached out to you for confirmation. At that time, the voice mailbox on the phone number you provided was full, meaning we could not leave a message. Instead, we called back the next day, June 26th, and again your mailbox was full so we couldn't reach you. Due to the fact that we couldn't speak with you, we were unable to accept the order a second time.
When you wrote into us that same day, you did not write us from the e-mail address associated with your account, nor did you include the order number you were referring to. Without the e-mail address or Order Number, it was impossible for our customer service team to investigate the issue on your behalf and your request was incorrectly escalated. An agent absolutely should have replied back asking you to provide your account information, and I apologize for the fact that this did not happen.
I understand that this has not been the best first experience for you, but I wanted to be sure you are aware of the steps that were taken on our end before either order was cancelled, as well as the effort made by our Loss Prevention team put into confirming your orders before resorting to cancellation. Please let me know if you have any further questions and I'll be happy to assist you.
Best,
