For exactly 120 for a couples massage was not reflected on my account. I contacted groupon and gave them the order number in question as well as screenshots of my confirmation email. Instead of inquiring on the issue they refunded a second groupon voucher I bought for a movie ticket in the amount of 26.45 when I paid 29.45 and skipped out on paying my 3 additional dollars. When I contacted them a third time, my email was blocked. I would have been fine calling and explain this issue but there is no customer service number. Beware of the bs. Groupon is sketchy.
We were so excited my husband was given this as a birthday gift…. The extra expenses have been ridiculous… extra $100 each to fly out from Brisbane… extra costs to sit together on flight… car hire for 3 days cause a very basic motel is not near city, beach, etc…. We were not honoured any of our three Friday and Saturday night options… had to fly out on a Thursday… taking away our income (haven't even gone and down $1060)… gosh I hope our bottom of the peeking order destination is worth it!
What an absolute nightmare of a company. We ordered a king size bed bundle with mattress and bedding. Firstly the mattress didnt turn up to then find a piece missing. The support central rail was missing. Had to then ring groupon and all they could say was 14 days and you will then get a refund. Would never deal with this company again.

I bought my husband a detail package on Groupon for his birthday and we ended up selling the car and getting a new one so we no longer needed the Groupon! I contacted them to see if they could just give me a voucher to buy another Groupon not cash and they refused! No flexibility at all! I will never use them again
Worst customer service ever! They sold me a product that was wrongly advertised, it was then a HUGE muck around to get my money back! The whole process involved them making 6 mistakes - I've never had such a bad experience as a customer and would never trust this company again. I have only bought products off Groupon because friends have warned me that the entertainment or food Groupons can often be scams or just don't work. Everything I have bought (a dog seat cover, a number sign for our home, wine, air filters) has been up to par. I am careful and read it carefully. I did cancel an order and in fact returned something with absolutely no problem at all. I have read the bad reviews but myself personally have never had these problems. I have gotten some great deals and been pleased thus far. Customer service has always been kind to me just through EM's. I have been happy with Groupon.
I've ordered several items and quite a few restaurant coupons. I've had no problems with the restaurant Groupons, but a few issues with purchases & quality. One purchase never arrived, even though it was supposedly shipped - but customer service was very helpful and a refund was issued immediately. My main problem is their return policy. I didn't realize it until I was going to return a sheet set (after the first washing the pillow cases are pilling so badly they feel scratchy on my skin), but you have two weeks to return an item, unused in it's original packaging. How are you supposed to know if a product stands up through washing unless you use it? I won't purchase an item like that in the future.
Looks like a deal and if it works it's a discount... if it doesn't get getting restitution from Groupon WONT HAPPEN!
There is no direct communication. Customer service is chat or emails. Answers are more. Pre written. They do not give refunds on credit card paid but offer Groupon bucks! They took double the amount from my debit card (charged twice) and won't refund the money.
It's a nightmare. I wound up purchasing the item regular price. I paid extra but worth less aggrevation. This business should be put out if business. Also When. U do get a voucher code and they to use it... only valid with certain terms which does not make the deal a deal.
What happened? I have been a customer of Ideeli's for years! I go to log-in and Groupon keeps signing me in? No warnings, No emails, No announcements? Not Cool!
Tried to call and got the WORST customer service EVER!

Crooks seriously some of their stuff may work when trying to redeem but most won't and then most recent issue with them is false advertising and an unwillingness of them to make it right us insanity they are literally robbing people left and right with a restaurant.com deal and not fixing any of it just stay away from them they are disgusting have zero customer service help that's actually helpful and no number to call that's your first red flag
Look at this fraudulent crap and when asking them to fix it this was the response I received four days later! See pictures please
Also they went back into my account and charged me for another of the same thing the next day without my approval and they refuse to freaking fix that too! Save time and money and sanity and don't ever use the crooked site groupon again!

I just got back from vacation and several places were either closed or seats were sold out for shows. Groupon says "oh well". One customer service rep even told me that the only way they would even consider a refund is if the merchant called and told them they would not honor it. What? Yeah right like the merchants are going to take their time and do that.
It just is not worth the horrible way that you are treated by Groupon. I have found it really is not worth it because the savings are not that much and can often be found online and you do not have to worry about a "no refund policy"
Worst decision our business has ever done is Groupon. They do not support your business, they do not promote nor do anything but cut into profits by more than 80%! We watched as thousands of dollars went out the door. When we realized how bad we were in with them we immediately canceled our account with Groupon after waiting on the phone for hours, along with back and forth e-mails. We are about 8 months into it and still they will not cancel our accounts and invoice us. I promise if you are a vendor stay away!
My original review was way before Groupon went public. They had their IPO in 2011. Their laughable $26 initial price is now $3. They own thousands to Quebec businesses, delaying payments months and months. They take (nearly) half of the coupon prices they sell, yet, they were bleeding deep red 9 out of 11 years since their IPO. There is no improvement in sight.
Any merchant who is approached by Groupon should run from them.
Anyone who considers buying Groupon coupons must be prepared to receive no product/service in return.

Groupon, like other group discount sites, are pushing businesses to feature money-loosing deals, taking 50% of what you pay from business and convincing business-owners that people once visited the business will continue to do so over and over again paying full price. Life shows the opposite.
If you bought an incredible deal from Groupon, you must know that the business, you about to visit, looses money on that deal. To recuperate, the business will use all kind of strategies - from up-selling at higher-than-usual prices to cheating or closing the doors on you. So, be prepared. If you think you are strong enough to not submit to sales pressure, you also must be prepared to receive low-quality service in return (you know, when business will realize you cannot be milked, they get rid of you by giving you $#*!ty service).
My advice is instead of buying coupons from Groupon, call the company they advertise and tell them you want the deal but like to pay directly. You will need to pay, may be 1 cent more, (in order for business not to violate Groupon agreement), but you're guaranteed a happier experience.
I don't understand how this website can have such bad reviews? I'm from Southern California & I ordered my ray bans September 22nd and received them today which is September 26! Less than a week! The process of buying the voucher was smooth enough. They are happy to take you money but if things go wrong with the service/product provider then don't expect a reply. I had something go wrong with my voucher and contacted Groupon about getting a refund. They didnt reply to my first email and also didn't bother to reply my second. At the very least they should respond!
I would not suggest this site as there is absolutely no after sales support. I've used others sites who have responded and refunded me when things went wrong. I won't name the site in case people think that I'm working for that company. This post is meant to warn people of Groupon but not the voucher concept.
I have been using groupon for several years and have found the quality of product and service has gone down a lot. Several items i have bought are of very poor quality especially masks. I would not recommend buying them from groupon. I also bought a voucher for papa john's pizza which the vendor refused to redeem as groupon was not paying them. When i complained to groupon they offered me groupon credit instead of crediting my card as requested. I am still waiting to receive refund.
Groupon is holding my money forcing me to take a credit in groupon bucks for a hotel stay that was canceled because of the hotel being closed. My Groupon stated if the reservation was canceled 7 days in advance (4/26/2020) I would be refunded. Now they are stating that no longer applies? They have turned their phone systems off forcing you to chat online. This is the worst experience ever. I'm highly disappointed in this million dollar company. I've tried to handle this with a customer service rep but I didn't get anywhere. Anybody else having the same issue?
Ideel makes you pay for your returns unless you do store credit, which is a way to rook you into buying more. In the days of internet shopping, paying to return items that don't fit is ABSURD. The company is owned by Groupon, and groupon has it together so why don't they get on the same system.
Clothes often feel cheaper than designer clothes--not sure why.
Overall, I wouldn't recommend it unless you know your size very well.
Signed up not long ago, when refered by my daughter. Just used it for the first time. It's great! I have future vacation locations added so I can get deals to use later!
It's fun to see what is offered each day, although it may not be anything I want, but every so often I get a great deal.
Also, I had a little trouble and they got back to me quickly with an answer! Worth a look.
I ordered 2 pairs of 9.99 shoes that they said were regular price 69.99. Believe me they are worth less that what I paid. Horrible shoes. Cheap. Will never order from ideal.com again. My first and last purchase. Did not bother returning them. Sent both pairs to goodwill. Unbelievable cheap shoes. I can't give less than 1 star because I would give no stars at all. Do not get sucked into what there regular prices says they are because really those aren't the regular prices. Just a markup to make their 9.99 shoes look good. Terrible shoes. They are the pink and red ones that look like Valentino flat shoes. Do not get. You will be terribly upset with the product.
Like other people on here I miss ideeli.com! I have saved lots of money but I did ALL of my shopping on idelli. The beautiful shoes and dresses oh my. Now as summer approaches I have no where to buy one of a kind, individual style items! Everything in malls and specialty stores are generic and cookie cutter. This by far was a poor decision. Some of the items promoted aren't entirely top quality and occasionally, advertised locations go out of business. When notified of a problem, Groupon does respond in a timely manner, although they sometimes expect you to resolve the issue with the vendor rather than work on it themselves.
Groupon can be great for finding a new hair stylist or other service provider, but when you have difficulties with a service provider, Groupon is a pain in the arse. The following has happened more than once, so that now I am "gun shy" about "pulling the trigger" at Groupon. When you call a service provider several times and don't get a response, Groupon will then steal much more of your valuable time (not to mention your patience). They will pull stunts like give you a credit in "Groupon bucks" -- until you finally just complain to your credit card company. The time you waste is not worth it IMO. I bristle just thinking about dealing with their 3rd world moronic "customer service" reps.

I purchased a 1 hour massage as a gift for my daughter. When she tried to redeem the coupon at Massage addiction in Meridian Idaho, noone will answer the phone and they never return calls. When I tried to resolve the issue with Groupon, all I got was a run around, the issue was never resolved. I have closed my account with Groupon and would advise to stay away as I don't believe that the company can be trusted.
These 3 guys and their older manager dance to all types of music change costumes no stripping located on Pine St downtown Dayton Oregon District. Old building freezing on the inside pretty run down. Drinks are high priced I ordered wine and was served a half of a glass at a time 4 oz glass with 2ozs of wine for $5.00 a glass. The dancers seem to be bisexual and 1 of them have very bad acne. Don't buy 50 shades of men and Groupon doesn't and won't refund the money for the voucher.
I bought a Groupon, for 6 sessions but only got 1. Why? Because Neo Aesthetics cancelled my appointment because they can't maintain staffing, couldn't accommodate my schedule, are rude and unprofessional. I left several messages for the owner and no one has bothered to call me back. On top of everything Groupon refuses to refund my money claiming that the Groupon was "redeemed" even though I paid for 6 sessions and only got 1! Now I'm forced to have my credit card company fight it out with Groupon to get my money back. I say, don't waste your money or time, you end up paying more in the long run.
I have bought quite a few groupon coupons so far, more in the beginning when they first started than recently, because there is just so much more competition and I actually find more useful and relevant deals nowadays on other sites like livingsocial and kbgdeals. That said, once in while there are still great deals that let's me try out different things that I would not have like Online language courses, Ballet tickets and retail stores. I have not had a problem so far and when there were any 'scams' that occured, Groupon has been swift to refund my money. I would definitely continue buying from them unless something dramatic happens. I think it is a great site!
