Purchased a Groupon and because its for a different state where I live, Groupon would not give me a refund or credit. Basically, they said that I am out of luck.

On the Groupon website they have a video and make a big deal about customer's being happy and how they'll issue refunds and this is actually not true. I've contacted them 4 times regarding one groupon with a vendor and the really bad problems and they ignored my problems and yet sent me a survey about my satisfaction with their response. I was not happy with their non-response. And then I discovered that this is actually a problem that a lot of people are experiencing. I won't purchase another Groupon due to their flat out lies and poor service.
I have purchased from Groupon in the past and I can honestly say I have recieved everything as described and I had one refund with no problems. And every email responded to promptly... There's very fine print you MUST read and decide on the spot if the purchase is suitable for you. All of these purchases are time-sensitive and people do not read thoroughly. And a small inventory of stuff are kind of one the cheap-y side-the drawback of buying online is the same everywhere... READ thoroughly!
Recently bought a flat iron from ideeli.com right away I noticed it was fake, its pretty obvious. We sent it to the company and they confirmed that it was a counterfeit. Ideeli customer service is non existent. I rather the service at the dmv on a busy day.
I have bought a lot of stuff off of groupon over the past few years and they have good discounts on all things. You need to find what your looking for and sometimes you can also use a Promo code which can get you extra savings. If you have a problem with a merchant and want your money back than just contact customer service and they will help you. I have never had a problem getting my money back.
Ideeli what a scam... they charge you $9.95 to ship and then if you want to return to your card they charge you a return service fee of $7.95. I bought 2 pairs of shoes and returned them (shoes were below par of what they were described as), but was out $17.80 for nothing. Live Chat was like texting to an automated system. After cancelling my membership (exclusive ha ha) they did refund the $7.95. Received a call from Customer Service on my voice mail, as the caller said "we are reaching out to you to see why you cancelled your membership (caller referred to me with another customer name) WOW do they have customer service issues. I agree with another review Ross has better deals... plus you can return no problem and no charge.

For being such a highly recommend place for "good deals" They don't take any responsibility for the fake deals they allow people to post. I also tried emailing them dozens of times & have not got a response & it's been almost a month. They have the $#*!iest customer service I've ever experienced. Read their terms of sale they are scammers & need to get their $#*! together. I hope they get shut down within this year of 2017! $#*! you to the owners of this $#*!!
I used to like it but these days most deals are like "never was $50, now $30". Tried some massage a few times, but couldn't get the deal completed and had to cancel and get a refund.
So maybe it's still good for someone, just not for me.
Bought an item which never arrived. I email them regularly but they just keep saying they are "investigating". The tracking information shows that the item never made it beyond the first day. They are impossible to deal with and they do not care about the customer at all.
I will never in my life use Groupon again! There were 2 purchases made in my name that i did not make. Groupon has a dumb $#*! policy that they will refund your money if you tell them by the next day. Well i did not notice this until 2 days later. I contacted them and they said sorry our policy states we will refund you up to the next day after purchase. I had a few words for them so they said we will file a complaint for you, alot of good that did not even 3 hrs later and i get an email that they didn't find anything wrong and will not be refunding my money. What a crappy company. I called my bank and it is being handled but i am done with Groupon. Beware people, Groupon is only worried about making money and not making their customers happy!
For the 2nd time in several months, I've gotten this email from them well over a month from when I had ordered the products:

If using their iPhone app, it is very easy to make accidental purchases. On top of this their customer service is awful and refuses to help. I even has a customer service rep hang up on me as I was right and they needed to refund my money.
I've been happy so far with Groupon until...
I ordered 4 sonic electric toothbrushes and only received 3. Complained to Groupon and they said it showed that they were delivered. I only received 3 emails saying they were shipped not 4. Groupon site says they were delivered. I said maybe they were but one was delivered to the wrong house? They said sorry but we cant send you another one but we will give you a $10 Groupon coupon. Good that'll do me since I paid $40 for it.

Unreasonable. My friends and I tried to buy tickets for a dinner cruise at the same time. I was the only one able to get our first choice timeslot which became unavailable immediately for my friends. Even though later spots were available GroupON refused to change my ticket time or give a refund because there was 'no cooling off period' on the ticket. They said I could transfer to friend or family member - Saturday night dinner for one anybody?
Used to care about their customers u til they became big. Now they treat you poorly. Refunds are always a hassle if you change your mind or don't use a Groupon. Providers at times are very hard to reach and or treat you differently than a normal customer.
Just told by Christopher E. At Groupon customer support that he can't honor the purchase I made 14-days-ago of a pair of Ray Ban sunglasses. I made the buy with a 50% coupon sent to me for Groupon Goods. The purchase was complete. No need to do anything else, they would be sent in two weeks at the latest. Now they are giving me back my money, but I need to wait 10 days for that to clear. And nothing about losing the 50% discount. He said it COULD have been due to inventory shortfall. But they still have plenty of Ray Bans for sale. They could have just explained the situation and honored the price they gave me for the glasses and sent me a replacement pair. I have lost trust in their business, and will not buy any Groupon Goods again. Buyers beware!
Bought a Groupon for a haircut at the beginning of April but neither I nor Groupon was able to reach the merchant and they offered me a refund after many calls back and forth trying to escalate the issue. The refund came one day and was taken back away from my account on the same day. I've been in contact with Groupon for months after this purchase trying to get my refund back and they still haven't done so. Not sure how many phone calls (back before they got rid of customer service on the phone), chats, and e-mails I've done these past few months to try and get a simple refund.
My account was compromised and purchases were made that I did not do... I called customer. Service expecting some kind of action since my debit card got compromised... but NOOOO... they kept saying I made the order and when I receive it is can just return it if I don't want it... it was the most $#*!ed service I've ever experienced... it was like talking to a wall... I had to call my bank, cancel my card and file a fraud claim against them... they are horrible and just care about money!
They are horrible. You cannot trust them. I bought a ticket to see a show and two hours before the show they sent me an email stating that the deal had been canceled.
That action was despicable. Never again. I hope they go out of business. The Groupon concept is good as long as they can deliver, but they don't.
90% of the time I have a problem with redeeming, getting reimbursed for an unused "now deal" (which clearing states in the terms that they do), or the merchant tries to charge me "additional" fees when I go to use it. Totally not worth the headache. Customer service is rude and gives you the run around. They make everything seem so easy on the website but if you have a problem, be prepared to be treated like you're the bad guy or trying to pull a fast one on them. Buy a groupon if you have a lot of time to waste or you're a glutten for punishment.
Answer: Yes, Groupon is legit. You need to read the fine print before ordering live event tickets- -they will not refund your money even if it's there fault. I only buy tickets for activities that don't expire or you can use the purchase price towards a non-Groupon service the vendor offers. Hope this helps.

Answer: The one I took by Holly and Hugo at least were I would research the company before buying. Also about twice a year they put all their courses for $5! I got mine completed it and it helped boost my resume and I was able to get a vet assistant job pretty quickly compared to before where I only got a call back from about one place which didn't lead anywhere. :) hope I could help!

They will lie, they literally told me customer service reps were out sick, thus no answer to my emails for about 2 weeks. But, don't loose hope, the DAY I posted a review on this site, they answered AND gave me a 25.00 credit for my trouble. So write a review on Site Jabber with all the details and a bet a manager will answer promptly. As this is their way, I NEVER ordered from the site again after at least 3 years of orders. Good Luck and don't leave a sordid detail out of your complaint.
