I ordered some headphones on Groupon. They we're charged on my credit card so I assume the order went through. After 4 days, didn't received any shipping confirmation email so I email their customer service. They told me they never received my order. Each time I received an email, it was from a different person. It's very confusing. They asked me lots of question about the product, my account, etc. Never they asked me if I would prefer tonne reimbursed. I will never purchase from them again!
I purchased a cell phone case on Groupon.com on 2/21/14. It's now 3/1/14 and my case is STILL at a warehouse somewhere? It said it would ship on 7 business days--I'm now on my 11th business day. It has said for a few days now that it is in pre-shipment, which just seems like a hoax to get me to not call customer service.
I work in online marketing, I know how detrimental negative reviews can be and I try REALLY hard not to leave any because of that... but this is getting insane. I'm being patient and they are testing my patience with this.
I really have a bad experienced with Groupon Everytime I used it. I have purchased an order of 300$. I didn't got to use it or redeem it. Some order got redeem but I've Never even used it. They will let you trade in, only with a certain time frame. If you pass the time frame, they won't let you trade-in. It's says "it's refunded" but Where did my money go? Well, I don't have it in my Groupon's account, not even a $1 back. OMG!
Contact us link does not even help you at all. It's hard to contact them. Their response takes forever.
I ordered three items for a total of $144.90, two of the three were not what I ordered, completely the wrong items. Not to good so far. I kept one Marrakesh Dress and returned the other two items with a note explaining the error. I was refunded $54.95. That pretty much sums it up. My $40 dress cost me $90 after all the miscellaneous charges, it was totally their mistake. Don't believe the "Free return" business, it will cost you.
For photobook Groupon from Dinkleboo, there is a charge of taxes on original photobook price plus Canada Border Services Agency handling fee for Canadian shoppers. These are not mentioned at all in the Fine Print. So beware. Even though you only pay $29.99 for a photobook, the customs form will state the full price of $174.99, which is not fair to consumers when you have to pay taxes.
Generally have good experiences here, I buy somewhat often from here. Recently had a negative experience - I bought a wool winter coat. Waited about a month for it to be delivered, shipping times always take forever! When I got it I tried it on, it fit great, decided I wanted to keep it, so I cut the tags off and hung it up.
First time I wore it, the buttons popped off. So I sewed them back on and continued to wear it. Two weeks later, more buttons pop off.
I understand the occasional mishap, but there's no reason a $130 coat should be so flimsy and falling apart when it's brand new.
Contacted customer service to see if it was possible to return due to poor quality. Was given a $15 voucher to buy my own buttons! WTF?
Now I look like a bum wearing a coat with mismatched buttons that is supposedly designer and of the highest quality...
I will think twice about purchasing anything from them from now on.

I purchased 3 dresses from them for my bridesmaids, unfortunately they were the absolute wrong color. Returned them and only got credit for 2! Now I'm out over $100 and they refuse to get back to me on the issue. I have called/emailed/live chatted and keep saying someone will get back to me! BS!

Used my Groupon coupon at Old Navy yesterday. I had purchased
$20 worth of goods for $10. When I used it at the register, it only gave me a $10 credit. Because it was actually what I had spent, I didn't argue about it, but I'm totally disappointed with my Groupon experience. Never Again.
Groupon doesn't bother to check out the business before running the ads. They only care about numbers. And if a company sells a lot of vouchers it doesn't matter to them what it looks like or how it's ran. They have created a bunch of cheap people who are looking for a discount knowing they are not going to come back. I compare groupon to foodstamps because that's how customers are treated. When they call to to redeem their voucher and once the merchant hears " I have a voucher from groupon" they are treated like welfare recipients. Can't wait for the day when all of these cheap deal sites goes out of business.
Wish I could leave a negative star rating. This site is the worst! You can find the same deals by googling most of what they offer on the site and not have to wait weeks for your order to be fulfilled. Customer service is a joke and trying to find a way to ask a question and get a legit response is an effort in futility. Buyer beware.
I was a regular shopper in the Ideeli website. I am surprised to see what Google has done since the took over this business. The selection is greatly reduced and the presentation is not nearly as attractive. This would be a hard sell business for Google. I won't be visiting this site any longer.
I purchased a gateway with Groupon. I git a booking confirmation. I went to the hotel and I was told that they have cancelled my booking because there were not more spaces for Groupon. They didn't honoured my Groupon. After 17 mails I got a refund in a bank account that was not active. In every single e mail I told then not to make the refund in that account but they did without notifying me. Now I have no Groupon or money back. They customers service representative just copy and paid random answers. Such a shame!
I bought a futon bed with groupon. The futon itself was fine but I changed my mind and wanted to return it. I am now trying to return it since 6 weeks! The courier service has a different address and won't let me change it. This needs to happen through Groupon who just do not do it.

I got a Groupon for a spa treatment. Prior to getting it I checked the business schedule it said they are open from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. When I called to book, the said they only take appointments after 3pm. This conflicts with my work schedule. I tried getting a refund and was told I'm past the cooling off period and can't get my money back.
The refund policy on Groupon states that a customer will get a refund if they have a valid groupon but the business is no longer in business. I have been waiting for weeks and still no refund. Groupon customer service keeps saying they are working on it and thanks me and asks if there is anything else they can do. They are stalling, I expect that this is their policy and they hope customer fatigue kicks in and I just give up. I will never buy another Groupon. In general it is for businesses that need help. A good business does not need Groupon so these deals are often for places you would not normally go to because the quality or service is not what you demand.
Groupon started off as a site with great deals. Now the deals are not nearly as good (I think because companies have figured out and it is not a good deal on their end). For instance, I once saw a coupon for a dinner for two for $59 that was $1 off the regular price for $60. I think I would rather spend the extra $1 for the freedom to go when I want to go and have an expiration on my Groupon. There are some good finds from time to time... but now it often goes to my spam folder...
I will never use groupon again! First I was not able to book the massage I paid for, the massage center simply refuse to give me the service. I have now been chasing a refund for a month and a half. I have called three time and email. They have confirmed in writing the refund will be processed but 3 weeks later I'm still chasing this. NEVER AGAIN!
They make it extremely hard to get any customer service from them. They should be more concered abut the customer than the money they make from customers. I had purchased a groupon for a company, and the company took forever to get in touch with, and we finally got in touch to make a appointment. Once we finally made it, for weeks out, they were a no call no show so we never go the services we payed for. After this experience I have been trying to get in touch with Groupon but they have no way to get in touch with them. The "chat now" group wont respond to messages and the response time for an email is 3 days. 3 Days? Thats absurd. Great company indeed (Sarcasm)
I love how they offer designer items at a discount. However, their customer service is nonexistent and they don't adhere to the shipping schedules promised on their website. I ordered a $200 handbag which did not ship until a month after my credit card was charged, despite their FAQ, which says "[w]e may take up to 10 business days from the close of a sale to ship... Please don't contact us to find out what your tracking number is until at least ten (10) days after a sale ends." No one responded to my repeated emails, and the customer service phone number goes straight to a machine. I finally got the bag, but it was the end of the season, I already purchased another bag at a retail store, I was really frustrated with ideeli.com, and I had almost filed a complaint with the BBB.

I have purchased things such as movie tickets and attractions on groupon and have never been disappointed. It is definitely a savings and the "fine print" is minimal and listed right next to whatever you are about to purchase. I would recommend to all.
Answer: Yes, Groupon is legit. You need to read the fine print before ordering live event tickets- -they will not refund your money even if it's there fault. I only buy tickets for activities that don't expire or you can use the purchase price towards a non-Groupon service the vendor offers. Hope this helps.

They will lie, they literally told me customer service reps were out sick, thus no answer to my emails for about 2 weeks. But, don't loose hope, the DAY I posted a review on this site, they answered AND gave me a 25.00 credit for my trouble. So write a review on Site Jabber with all the details and a bet a manager will answer promptly. As this is their way, I NEVER ordered from the site again after at least 3 years of orders.
