I received a Guitar Fetish Tele Thinline body the other day and was surprised and very impressed with the quality, especially for $69. It was double boxed and inner box was bubble wrap, body was damage free and in beautiful condition. It was sanded smooth but of course before finishing it will be grain filled and sanded. There were some kerf marks from band saw on sides where saw turned around curves nothing that a bit of sanding won't remove. The pics are before any finishing work. I had read a lot of negative comments and reviews on line especially about customer service, not the case for me I sent an email about shipping date and was answered in a few hours. Body arrived in a few days. I have only ordered a roller bridge from them before so was apprehensive about what I would get but it is all good.
Ordered relic tuners, bridge and string guides. The tuners didn't fit the sleeves they sent so I spent an hour modifying. The bridge and string guides were brand new, zero sign of any relicing. If my last order is any indication, I'll get an oh well, tough luck reply or no reply at all. These guys used to be top notch quality control and service. Not so any more.
Be aware at time of order the promotional discount codes do not auto-populate and the cart prices are not reduced to sale. After placing an order I realized the code as missing and immediately emailed a courteous request to apply the Final12 and Final25 discounts. That was on 1/4/2019 as the promotions ended on 1/5/2019. In response, I received robo-responses that alluded to being too busy with orders and to give Guitar Fetish a couple of days to respond. After not hearing from them as promised I sent similar requests to *******@guitarfetish.com and *******@guitarfetish.com. And again in response I received robo-messages saying we are busy and eventually denied on or around 1/11/2019 because my request was sent too late and after the goods were delivered. Asking to escalate I have yet to hear from a decision maker in authority. Think twice before ordering anything from Guitar Fetish. There are other companies out there.
The address crashed during a purchase so when I clicked refresh the address info section autofilled a wrong address but order was placed already. Within one second I quickly emailed their orders department telling them about this issue thinking it was no problem as they stated that they take 3-10 business days to ship. To my horror I woke up to an email that completely disregarded my issue and that they have shipped my order anyway with the wrong address. I have since never heard back from them despite sending them multiple emails.
Tip for consumers:
If anything requires speaking with their customer service team you might as well speak to a puppy about your issues because your outcome will be exactly the same but at least you’re in a good mood after interacting with said puppy
Company cant handle its order load but does take your money and makes you wait till they can ship without telling the customer about delays in their inability to move the orders they take. Contact cs and be told it will be shipped any day now and it doesn't happen.
Tip for consumers:
Sorry but buy parts made by the manufacturer or be stuck paying double shipping to return the product

Have order pick ups that stopped working, new pots that are scratchy, parts they claim fit strats and gibson but don't
I made orders from this site several times. The pickups are good for the price. But, at the last order, they sent pickups with paint damage and rust, I think they are used. Although, the description did not say anything about it and these are not pickups from GuitarFetish "aged" series. Support ignores my letters and has not responded for the two weeks.
Do not buy anything from the outfit... They Lie about products. They have no support or service. We spent 2 months trying to get some pickups to work. Since they will not take phone calls for support or service, you are stuck with what ever trained monkey that writes you. Over the last 6 months, they lied about having products..."2-weeks from now"... They lie even when it is easier to tell the truth...
Slick guitar was delivered in horrible condition. It cost $75 to fix neck issues best could be done. Then within 6 months the body on this guitar split!
Guitar Fetish said they would gladly replace if I ship back to them. The cost of shipping this is $100. This is stupid to spend another $100 on this Not So Fine Piece. Their policy of return within 30 days is unreasonable as it is obvious this type of defect would not reveal itself within 30 days, although this happened within 9 months!
1. Slick Gutars seem to be crap!
2. The US distributor will leave you with this crap!
I've bought pickups, bodies, switch gear, bridges and parts, screws, plates, and have never run into any significant issues. The electronic stuff works and I've created some very playable guitars. I source guitar necks elsewhere.

Wow!
Such bad reviews about this company.
I've only bought their Brass Strat Bridge Blocks and they fit my Strats just fine.
They even noticibly improved the sound.
They've shipped them out to me in a timely manner.
After reading the bad reviews I'm very concerned about making a purchase of anything other than the Brass Blocks...
Oh well...
I bought a Pro 820 from GF. It arrived promptly and had no finish problem. The action was playable but I expected to have to set intonation and action height. The tuners and hardware, while maybe not the best, work fine and keep the guitar in tune. The main problem were the fret ends. All needed a lot of work to smooth out the sharp ends. This is something I have the tools for but took a while. Also when first plugged in it had a bad hum. I had to add a ground wire from the volume pot to the bridge. I notified them of the problems and they gave me a $20 credit. The neck pickup was not to my liking so I ordered a new neck pick up. With the plug in system it was an easy swap. The selector switch was a box type and I wanted a blade type. So I used my credit and ordered a switch from GF. After installing the switch it was very staticky when switched. I then bought an Oak 3 way switch and problem fixed. All in all a good guitar for the price. It now plays like a dream and sounds awesome.

Overall, one of the premier guitar parts sites for budding builders of guitars. Replacement parts abound, and they often have closeouts from other failing companies that offer stupid cheap pricing.
On the other hand, their line of guitars that they sell has been suspect from time to time, and some models have been outright dogs. I'd stay away from the cheap finished guitars and only use the site for their parts. Pickups are especially good.
I've purchased a couple of sets of pickups, some tuners and a brass tremolo block for one of my Strats. Everything shipped quickly, everything worked as advertised (the pickups are very nice) and prices are more than competitive. I have never purchased a guitar from GFS but I've played one that belongs to a friend and it looked and played okay. These of course were not serious tests, just me trying out a friend's guitar. I see some bad reviews, but my experience with Guitar Fetish has been pretty good.
I have never received a guitar from these jokers that worked out of the box. Every one ended up being gutted and reworked with American parts and pups. They sent me the wrong guitar only once and I kept it and changed it to my liking. I have had pretty good luck with their pups but I have never put them in anything but a beater. Customer service is non-existant! Rude nasty no help! Better luck with Ali Express.
I've been buying from GF for over a decade. They are the Harbor Freight of guitar parts. Lately, I've seen their onsite descriptions, quality control and customer service deteriorate. I just recieved an unfinished body with binding torn off. The description was "hese are "In Production" factory products so they are assembled and ready for your final finishing. You'll need to do all the TLC stuff stuff- sanding, grain filling, final finishing." It did not state that I would have to replace binding. I called customer service and got this reply. "We have a big huge disclaimer on that page that tells our customers all about the status of these parts. These are final sale items, as it says. You can source binding from several different on-line vendors like Amazon and Stew-Mac." There was no disclaimer. Not a company I will do further business with.
Sorry, but GFS Guitars are horrible! I received the SL 55 a while back. After replacing the nut, and having $$$$ spent on fret work, this guitar is still unplayable! The neck is twisted and the frets are super high... not to mention sharp ends and uneven tops. GFS always says, "compare these to..." enter a guitar brand. These aren't even on par with an Affinity Stratocaster. Please don't waste your money. I've tried three different models... they're all terrible!
Tip for consumers:
The pickups and accessories they sell are top notch, but the failed horribly in their quest to manufacture a decent guitar!!

I bought a few bodies and necks from their clearance/ factory buyout section. I want to start building guitars so for 15/20$ a neck 20/25$ a body it's not bad but you will be getting what you paid for these parts need work sanding, finishing, and refinishing. Be very careful while inspecting the photos to determine if you want to fix the part or not. It's not bad if you mess it up it's very cheap. However if you want something affordable and yet functional the moment you get it, go elsewhere.
I bought a guitar and when it came it had a fret that was coming up. I asked for an exchange and sent pictures. They said there was nothing wrong. I returned it but had to pay $70 to do so. Horrible company
I bought a guitar body, and the neck pocket was too large for standard Fender necks. It measured 57 mm. They asked me to send the body back, then said that the pocket was the right size, and charged me return shipping on the refund. The Tech told me that the necks were too narrow, but the standard neck pocket on Fenders is 55.5 mm, and Guitar fetish said their necks are 56 mm. I told the service geek that it was too loose, and he said I could shim it, I said that kills the sustain, and he said it was a lower quality body, so that was as good as it gets. Too bad, because the body would have been nice, but when the company treats a dissatisfied customer this way, I will never buy anything from them again. Also, you can't call ANYONE, no phone number, sign of crooks, in my opinion. STAY AWAY
I ordered a case for a specific guitar which they said they had. When I received the case it was a VERY poor fit for the guitar. These people either don't know what they are doing or, more likely, they just don't care. I would strongly advise anyone thinking about doing business with them to look elsewhere!
Bought p bass pickups and electronics came broken, wire from pickup came frayed and unsoldered. Tried to return but they declined, their policy states ten days to return but it took ten days to even get here! Very disappointing

I have been playing in Southwest Florida for years. Definitely takes its toll on equipment.
To play a $2000 guitar on the beach is just stupid in my eyes. Guitarfetish has been a God send for me. I have been playing a tele semi hollow body with 2 humbuckers with a solid maple neck. Once my partner set it up for me I was amazed! DRUM ROLL PLEASE!
$179.00 + $50.00 FOR A HARDSHELL CASE Playing through an rp255 and I get more compliments on the sound... it plays like a dream and because of the price its low stress for me. Definitely going to buy more form Guitarfetish. Not to mention their service response is great!

I put in a blender acoustic preamp in my Epi hummingbird. First impression was not worth a damn. But after playing with it, I now have an awesome guitar. I used the original under saddle pickup, but the mic was way too hot even surrounded in foam. I installed an Olympus me52 noise cancelling mic. Wow! It is now awesome. It leads me to believe that GFS needs some better choices in mics as well as under saddle pickups.
Ordered a pair of tele pickups. They delivered to the wrong address. Blamed it on my cookies in my computer. Any excuse. Even though I just bought a pickup 2 weeks earlier which was delivered to the correct address. They refuse to honor it. Or resend another set of pickups. Kind of sucks, since these are a basic guitar supplier. I have used them for several years for many of my basic guitar needs. Can't say I would recommend for your higher end needs. But to do this kind of sucks. A real supplier would cover this in a heart beat. But to be a cheap supplier. And to pull a BS move like this really sucks. It's probable pennies for them.
I've purchased from Guitarfetish.com for several years now and I have never had a problem with products, shipping or with service. In fact, I made a purchase earlier this year and had an emergency that required me to travel and be gone during the shipping process, I CALLED them and the offered to either cancel the order or hold the shipment. I chose the hold and they followed through with my request, down to the letter! The XGP products are as good as the "well-known brand" as they like to say and I plan to continue buying from them.
Take your time when purchasing, use the sale codes as they come along and just know that sanding and fitting is required.
GuitarFetish is the place to go if you wanna customize your rig to your own personal preferences, but you have to know what you are looking for. I only bought some basic stuff like strings and picks but if I ever get interested in customizing my rig a bit more this is definitely the place I will go to.
Ordered a ash strat body unboxed it put the neck in the pocket went to put the plate an screws on an found the neck pocket was cut at an angle
So the strings will never be centered you can't uncut wood.
My first sign was there is no customer service phone number
RED FLAG I could pay shipping twice to return it but they didn't offer to
Exchange for the same body with a straight proper cut neck pocket just
Store credit. What good is that? If I don't have a body that works I don't need any other parts now would I! That's all you get ripped off
I hope you read this before you think about doing business there
Keep your money for a real parts place like stratosphere

Gareth posted this review after contacting us last week attempting to return a guitar case that was purchased two years ago (Jan 2017). When we denied the return, he then threatened to leave negative reviews on social networks unless we exchanged the item.
