I purchased a few different bare root roses a few weeks ago. One was per my mother's request, a "Don Juan" red climber. It arrived as what I considered a "twig" lol. I am super new to roses & quite nervous. Anyway, I followed the planting instructions precisely. It's only been 2 weeks & it has quadrupled size already! I'm totally astounded!

Bought two roses (first time)- both were ridiculously small for the price. One did ok- the other never grew more than 12 inches tall and was so sickly I removed it. I have a strict routine of watering, pest control and fertilization- which Heirloom roses claims is too much watering and fertilization. I wonder why my other 13 co-located rose bushes- some of which I purchased from Walmart for $13- have grown 4-5 ft in the same time period. Seriously- this is a joke. I have years of experience successfully growing roses. Only buy from them if you have no other option

I received my roses in a timely matter and they were packaged very well. They were easy to plant, but I had a few questions about the weather conditions and so I got in touch with customer service and they were very helpful. I would highly recommend heirloom.

I was concerned about the fact that my roses would be in the shade for probably a few months during the winter season. They were prompt in replying and reassured me that they should be fine and gave me information as to what to expect during this time.

There are roses we've had in the fire here or at previous homes, and since we lost our home and over 92% of our trees to wildfire we are working to replace trees and flowering plants that we had. During a salvage logging several rhododendron were lost as well. We are just getting the plants into the ground but hoping they will restore some of the beauty we have lost since the fire, as the County is giving us grief about replacing our home. As a beekeeper, I am anxious to have have enough of a nector flow to keep my replacement colonies alive and thriving.

Reason I chose this business:

We had roses from a company that is no longer in business. One we had developed from a cutting is thriving, but we have significant acreage to re-develop, and I am using vinegar/salt solution to prevent anything from growing close to the homesite or our solar system. I saw a white, pink and yellow rosebush in a yard and longed to own that plant! As I couldn't find that one specifically I may go and ask the owners to sell me a cutting. We are seniors who have always had roses and I enjoy them immensely, but the vanilla peppermint rose we had from Jackson/Perkins is no longer available. I hope that the replacement heirloom rose will match both it's color and schent.

I ordered 6 expensive roses from Heirloom Roses. 5 of them had disease. Then when I complained, they tell you the the roses are under warranty but they make you send pictures of them and what happened; which is fine. But once they realize the roses were a bad batch, they want you to write like an essay on each one of the roses with pictures. What they are doing is pretty rotten. The process is so cumbersome especially if you placed a big order that you just give up. Don't do business with them they are a fraud!

Not a knowledgeable rose gardener myself, I recently made a mistake in ordering five beautiful hybrid tea roses for a friend of mine. I had no idea that when they arrived at her northern New Mexico address and there was snow on the ground and overnight temperatures in the teens that my gift would be less than welcomed and cause her to panic rather than to be happy.

She refused delivery, called the company, was instructed to take them back to the deliverer, which was Fed-Ex, she hesitated when requested to pay the shipping fee, BUT all was resolved. I received a full refund, and she received the full shipping fee she had paid to return them.

I am sorry I made that error, but I am very grateful to Heriloom Roses for being so prompt and helpful in resolving our issue. In the future, I will check ahead with gardening friends to make sure I am choosing the appropriate gift at the appropriate time of year.

This was my first time to order from Heirloom Roses and I was not very pleased. I received and email with a video explaining how I should expect to receive my rose. The package was delayed by several days and when it arrived, it was missing the rod to keep the plant from shifting in the box, the plant itself was protruding out of the box, and the contents of the container (dirt and rose plant) were emptied into the bag it was wrapped in. This was ordered as a Mother's Day gift, so it was quite an embarrassing gift to give. I also am not sure if the plant will live considering the condition in which it was received.

I received an email saying that my email would be sent to a person to address it. I have not heard back. That was just yesterday, but then I received this email to rate my experience. I’m still hopeful that someone will respond to my inquiry.

I had seen a review on Instagram and explored the site. I was impressed by what I saw and hopeful to have a beautiful plant to add to my mother-in-law’s garden. I was also hopeful to order for myself in the future.

I was happy to find another of the elusive Lady Elsie Mae rose that survived and thrived in the Texas Snowapocalypse and subsequent drought. A nice surprise was a good selection of musk roses, so I am taking a chance with a lovely purple one. So many pretty roses. Mine arrived well packed and in such good shape. The website was easy to navigate. The difficult part was choosing which ones to purchase.

Had such kind and thorough help from Brittany. Ordered a supply of fish fertilizer for the year - supurb product! Unlike what I've seen on the market in its category. This is a fine company.

I made some suggestions about the website, one include a disease-resistant section, and was blown away with the positive response. I wrote to Heirloom Roses a month ago about a problem with a rose I bought. Immediately I received a notice that "a Customer Service Representative would get back to me soon". Fast forward to today and I have heard nothing. Correct that, I've heard nothing concerning my issue but I have received daily solicitations to buy more roses. I should also say that when I bought the rose, I fell for the pitch that I needed the bone meal, fish worms etc to help my rose grow. The rose is as dead as a door nail. Don't buy from this place.

I am an avid rose gardener. Unfortunately I fell and have significant injuries to my shoulder and neck. I had the remaining four roses from Heirloom to be delivered but I had to cancel my orders. Heirloom roses very generously cancelled, refunded and responded quickly. I have over 15 roses from Heirloom roses this season. It was a reassurance that Heirloom not only have excellent roses but excellent customer care. Thank you Heirlooms!

They have the worst customer service of any company I have ever dealt with. I wish I had never opened an account with them. They just want to take your money, They send unhealthy plant to the customer and don't allow returns or even replacement. I found one plant they sent to me was unhealthy and reported to them 5 days after I received it. They don't answer the emails, and they are not accommodating over the phone (after an interminable hold). I have called again and again, I escalated to the manager and then * at Heirloom Roses told me she would terminate my account, no refund, no replacement, I am not their customer any more, then she ended the phone call.

I purchased $300 worth of roses. They were for fall planting. I filled out all the information they wanted. I told them I did not use fertilizer but they said I did and so they will not warrant the 2 roses that didn't make it out of the 8. Roses arrived very late possibly from covid but we had already had snow. I would think that the others being alive would show that I know how to plant roses.
Very poor service with very slow responses. They do as not trying to keep customers happy. I wish I would have seen all the other bad reviews beforehand.

As a follow up to the initial review below, I received notification from Heirloom Roses that they would not even replace the dead roses because I planted them when I received them (10/1/2020), citing I planted them during a "frost date". I live in Zone 5b. I've planted roses here in November.

The title pretty much says it all. CS nasty, not helpful, not professional. They do not stand by their product and will NOT refund your money for dead plants. DO NOT USE!

We are a family business, owned by Ben and Kara Hanna, that values premiere, quality roses and the preservation of unique and rare roses. Located in the fertile Willamette Valley in Oregon, we are continuing the legacy of John and Louise Clements who founded the nursery back in 1972 on their own small farm. Our offices are still located in the farmhouse where they lived in St. Paul, Oregon.
