The company has established a reputation for providing a user-friendly online auction platform, with many customers appreciating the ease of bidding and tracking items. Positive feedback highlights the quality of products and efficient transaction processes. However, significant concerns arise regarding website performance, excessive shipping charges, and insufficient customer support, particularly in resolving issues related to missing items and unclear invoicing. Overall, while the platform is favored for its convenience and product variety, improvements in customer service responsiveness and transparency in seller charges are necessary to enhance the overall customer experience.

I have been looking for a non-expensive car for a while now and the other auction site that I had been looking at had so many hoops to jump through I just didnt want to do it. When I came across HiBid and was checking out the jewelry section, cuz I was also looking for an engagement ring... so I looked at local car auction places and found HiBid is working nationwide and found a motorhome and Mercedes Benz that I just purchased with no hassle and great ease. Thank you!
At the last auction bidding was closing all over the place you had to scroll up then down then back up. They need to be in order it was such a mess
Thank you for your feedback, Josh. We appreciate your input. The movement of auction lot items indicates their proximity to closing. Happy bidding!
I love auctions and have used hibid many times. Not sure why, but whenever I looked at a lot it would take me back to the beginning. In the past I would be where I left off.
Thank you for your review, Antionette. We're glad to hear you enjoyed the auction. We apologize for the inconvenience you experienced with navigating through lots. We'll look into this issue to ensure a smoother browsing experience in the future. Happy bidding!
I won a 14k necklace from Vail International Inc. and they charged me sales tax. I have made repeated attempted to get them to refund that. I am tax-exempt and sent them my ST3 showing that I am a reseller. So far they have ignored my request.
We apologize for the delayed response, Pat, and appreciate your feedback. Auctioneers are responsible for processing sales and handling tax exemptions, so we recommend continuing to reach out to Vail International Inc. directly regarding your refund request. If you're having trouble getting a response, please contact our support team at 844-775-4774, and we’ll do our best to help facilitate communication. We understand your frustration and appreciate you bringing this to our attention.
When bidding on multiple lots, hard to keep track of winning bids and focusing on future bids. Also, I am using a mobile device and I'm new to online auctions.

Amazing experience and the suspense if I win or I did not win.

During the auction, the screen scrolled and reloaded, making it difficult to monitor the auction and bid on appropriate items. After items completed, I was surprised to see the comment "MAY HAVE WON". That was a bit indecisive. I was unable to pay for my items the next day because of technical difficulties.
We apologize for the delayed response, Ann, and appreciate your feedback. We understand how frustrating technical issues can be when trying to monitor and bid on auctions. The “May Have Won” message appears while final results are being processed, but we understand how this can be confusing. You can also contact the seller directly to confirm the final status of your items. If you're still experiencing any difficulties or need assistance, please reach out to our support team at 844-775-4774. We appreciate your input and are always working to improve the bidding experience.
Just as the auction bidding was about to close, they changed the date from Friday evening to Sunday evening. The auction company instructions stated not to bid if could not pick your items on Saturday. They then changed the pickup date to Monday. Why have an ending date if you cannot stick to it? I don't think was HiBid's problem. If you publish a date, you should stick with it.
We apologize for the delayed response, Boompa, and appreciate your feedback. Auctioneers manage their own listings, including end dates and pickup schedules, but we understand how frustrating it can be when changes happen unexpectedly. If you’d like to report this issue or need assistance, please contact our support team at 844-775-4774. We appreciate your input and will continue working to improve the bidding experience.
It was relatively easy navigating through the bidding experience. The watch items page was very handy for keeping track of my bids and when items were close to closing. I've been waiting for direction post auction about when and how to pay and pick up items as they are still shown as May Have Won... I will use the site again!
I used this website years ago and after using it again I was surprised this hadn't changed by now. The fact that auction houses have to use dummy listings to relay the auction information like pickup time/location, shipping, bidding terms, etc is a very gumshoe solution to an obvious flaw with the design of the site
I recently bid on some sealed pokemon booster boxes that LA collectibles had posted. I caught them on one occasion selling a counterfeit base set box. When the original winner of the auction backed out they reached out to me directly trying to sell it. I told them it was counterfeit and highlighted the obvious signs. A second auction came up with a different box set. They reached out to me directly again saying they would sell me one of the 12 they had. I bought it and when it arrived I was able to confirm it also was counterfeit. I reached back out to them to ask for my money back and that it was counterfeit. They ignored my requests and messages and just posted up another auction for the same counterfeit boxes. Hibid needs to do something about this company as they continue to scam customers on their site making hibid look bad.
We apologize for the delayed response, J.D., and appreciate you bringing this to our attention. Auctioneers are responsible for the items they list, but we take reports of fraudulent activity seriously. Please contact our support team at 844-775-4774 with any details you can provide so we can look into this further. Your feedback is important, and we’re committed to maintaining a trustworthy marketplace.
I recently participated in an HiBid online auction. I had viewed items well in advance, and had written down the lot numbers for items that I was interested in. For that reason, I waited too until to close to the start of the auction to get logged in. Since it had been some time since I had bid on things through HiBid, I had forgotten my password and had to scramble to get a link to set up a new one. When I had finally gotten logged in, I was having difficulty getting a payment method inputted using my smartphone and had to log out on it and log in on my laptop. Having gotten that straightened out, I was then able to switch back over to my phone. The point is, had one of the items that I wanted to bid on been one of the first lots to close I would have missed out. I will try to avoid that mistake in the future. HiBid's offer an engaging way to participate in live online auctions and I look forward to my next experience. Thanks.
I would dare say I have purchased at least 8 diamonds, Gold, and designer handbags. In my first order I was nervous for the product to arrive, making sure I was not duped. When it arrived, as they had said the day etc, I was very pleased. I still had doubts, so purchased a diamond tested, and all looked good. Took to big Diamond store to have mounting and they were just another confidence booster in my decision.

I got banded from bidding on auctions because you're misleading site... It says to leave your Max bid and let it work work for you. Well that's what I did and I got kicked out of auctions because I didn't know any better. Now I can't get the items I wanted because of your main page and different rules of the The auction pages themselves.
We apologize for the delayed response, Daniel, and we're sorry to hear about your experience. Each auction house sets its own bidding rules and policies, which can vary. We understand how frustrating it can be when expectations don’t align with auctioneer policies. Won my auction cant find an invoice called auctioner no answer & no way to get ahold of a live person on hibid. Format for bidding is very easy. Trying to navigate the site for invoice or anything else is difficult
We apologize for the delayed response, Denise, and appreciate your feedback. Auctioneers manage their own invoices, so we recommend reaching out to them directly for assistance. We understand how frustrating it can be when communication is difficult. If you need help navigating the site or locating auctioneer contact information, please reach out to our support team at 844-775-4774. We appreciate your input and hope your next experience is smoother.
The bidding process through Hi Bid was terrific and I will likely try again. The problem was the actual auction. I purchases used Emeril 360 air fryer and got it for I felt was a very good deal frankly. The problem is that the handle on the air fryer was broken which I discovered only after I got the item home and the baking racks that came with the item weren't even for the air fryer. If I want to use I will have to purchase Emeril replacement racks at a premium which will place the cost of the item well above what I might have paid through another route. I'm hoping g to be able to contact the party in charge of the auction but not certain how to do that.
Jacob, please contact our customer support team regarding the issue with your auction item, and we'll assist you in resolving it promptly. Thank you for your feedback, and we appreciate the opportunity to address your concerns. To better assist you: our support number is 844-775-4774. Happy Bidding.
Answer: Licensed auctioneer here- auction law is that if you give notice that you need to retract your bid before the hammer falls (or the auction ends online) that the auctioneer is required to retract the bid. Actual law also dictates that bidding must start over at opening bid, not the next highest bid.
Answer: Very easy. If you dont get someone immediately they do call back. But once again if you have a problem with items contact the auction house not hibid. Hibid doesn't auction they only provide the platform
Answer: Most auctioneer there are scammers, a thrift store would be better option.
Answer: YES! Confirmed by an auctioneer I know. Hibid auctioneers can see your "maximum bid" and in most states it's legal to "shill" an auction or to bid against the public bidders - to "ensure reasonable sale prices" per national auctioneers associations. Also, anyone can set up an identity and bid against you. Although that may get interesting when they have to pay a commission to "buy" their own item!
Answer: "Mechanically challenged" is often a term auctioneers use to indicate that an item might not be functioning properly. It usually means that the piece needs repairs, doesn't operate as intended, or may have some technical issues. It's best to reach out to the seller for a clearer explanation to avoid any surprises. By confirming the exact condition directly with them, you'll have a better understanding of what you're bidding on.
Answer: Yes, if you suspect any fraud, please contact HiBid directly at 844-775-4774. Our team is here to assist you and ensure a safe and secure experience.
Answer: Some auctioneers require credit card verification as part of the bidder registration process. This process involves a temporary authorization charge of $1.00 to ensure the card is valid. In some cases, additional processing fees or taxes might cause the amount to appear slightly higher, such as $1.46. Please rest assured that this is not an actual charge but rather a temporary hold that will be released by your card issuer. Typically, these holds clear within 5-7 business days, depending on your financial institution. If the charge doesn't disappear after this time, we recommend contacting your credit card provider for further assistance.
Answer: Thank you for reaching out regarding your bidder rating and the reasons behind it. Bidder ratings on HiBid are determined by various factors, such as your bidding activity and whether you've been permanently approved or declined by auction companies in the past. Unfortunately, HiBid support and bidders themselves cannot view or access these ratings or the specific reasons behind them, as this information is exclusively available to auctioneers. The best way to gain insight is to contact an auctioneer you have a good relationship with or one whose auctions you'd like to participate in. They may be able to provide some clarity or work with you to address any concerns.
Answer: Thank you for reaching out! We understand how it can be confusing when an item is removed before an auction ends, but please rest assured it's not a scam. Sometimes auctioneers encounter unforeseen issues and may need to cancel or relist items. Keep in mind that auctioneers often work with consignors to ensure items are sold fairly, which can involve reserve prices or other considerations that may or may not be visible on specific listings. We recommend reaching out to the auctioneer directly for more details. If you have any difficulty reaching them, we're here to help facilitate communication.
Answer: Yes, HiBid regularly features a wide selection of motorcycles available for auction.
Thank you for your feedback, Riley! We're delighted to hear about your positive experience with us. Making the process easy and providing helpful service is our priority. We appreciate you choosing us, and we hope to assist you again in the future! Happy Bidding!
