H&M charged shipping fee automatically and relaying on customer to apply free shipping code on their own and refused to refund me the shipping fee for $7.99 + taxes after 3 days of purchasing over $100 dollar item. And they are the only company I know CHARGE RETURN FEE for $4.99 + taxes. So if you buy online and trying to return, you will lose ~$15 dollar just on shipping. BE AWARE!
Made an order at 9:15am and didn't have the option to cancel it. Called customer service for assistance at 9:30am, after being on hold for 27 minutes, the call ended prematurely. Called a second time and was then ultimately told that my order cannot be canceled so I have to wait on it to get here to have to deal wit the hassle of returning it. Seriously, no one should shop here.
I ordered two times and both times I was really surprised because at least half of my order was totally unwearable - very poor fabric, not elastic, I mean I should at least breathe normally in a dress, I ordered same size but their sizing is complete disaster. And for the end - they charge for returning the items. I DO NOT recommend and will not buy there anymore.
I have big complaints from this stopped h&m they have lie employees and also deliver when you want order it's arrived in 2 days but they shipped after 20 days and after 1 months you will receive they order when you're calling costumer service they're saying lie lie lie after lie lie they saying sorry sorry what the hell I don't want sorry i need my stuff I ordered

I ordered a pair of boots on11/25 in the amount of $72.79. The funds were held agains my account until 11/28. At that time the funds were captured. On 11/30, I received an email that stated my item was sold out, despite it saying it was available when I placed the order. So, after waiting on hold for 39 min, I was informed that my monies would be returned in 3-5 days. Basically, they had $72.79 of my money for what will be a week or so... for an item they did not have and did not ship. This is why online retailers are not supposed to capture the funds until the item ships. They have my money and I have nothing. I will not shop h&m again.
My tshirt order is cancelled because not available but i pay it, i dont know how to refund my money. And my second order is sandals instead of size 36 I received different size. Left sandals size 36 and right sandals size 37, i'm so disappointed.
During the promotion of the Loyalty Program running by H&M I was promised a coupon/discount (20% off) if I would join the program. I joined, but didn't get any promised coupon/discount, there were no option to apply a discount in my Shopping Bag. I contacted the customer service and was confirmed that the promotion discount (20% off) was NOT applied to my order. I am not sure I'll have any business with h&m after such lie!
Their online store is horrendous. Having an account on their website is also necessary to buy ANYTHING in their online store, which is ridiculous in my opinion. If I do have to make an account in order to buy something, then I at least expect it to be easy but it is the absolute opposite of that. The process of making an account is absolutely grueling and impossible, in my experience. As I tried to put in my birthdate to confirm my age, It kept saying there is an error and something is wrong, which I do not understand because I then made at least 2 new accounts with the exact same birthdate as I put into the website and they still said there was an error. In conclusion, I do not recommend their online store unless you want to go through a grueling process to make an account in their incompetent website.
Nice clothing but not enough merchandise. Popular items sell out in a hour. They only restock 2 sizes out of the 10 listed at a time. I put a order i and recieved a confirmation email. A week later I was told it wasn't fulfilled and something went wrong with the website. I didn't get a cancellation email. I recieved nothing. I'm VERY dissapointed as this has happened before. I called customer care at least 5 times to check on the order and was told it was fine then find out it was cancelled a week later. Unacceptable!
I ordered from a sale they had, mostly basic shirts and tights but I love their material and the way the clothes fit me. I mostly shop at Charlotte Russe and their clothes vary on size. A medium may fit too tight and I don't like that. I like the selections and pricing of their clothes and will be ordering again. I received my package fast but the only issue I had was that I wasn't able to track it. I use the app and the tracker wasn't working for me so I had no idea when my package was arriving, I just knew it had been delivered. I wouldn't count that as an bad experience though because it happened the first time I ordered from Vans too. Definitely would recommend others to buy
Ordered something and it sat in Greenwood, IN for three weeks. Customer service was super rude, asked to put me on hold, then promptly hung up on me. After a month of not receiving my package, they finally allowed me to file a missing package claim and opened a case number, citing that management will be in touch. Been a week and still havne't been in touch... Moreover, almost two months later now, I finally received my package but some items don't fit and now it is past the return date. EXTREMELY DISSATISFIED. Had always shopped at H&M before but will no longer do so.
I returned something for 19.99, I had paid cash, they did not return my money because the store had no change, and I did not want to give $20.00 because I did not have the penny in exchange for the store to give me $20.00, I had to give them 10 cents that they had so that the store could give me back my 20.00. The store couldn't give me a penny, but the store kept my 9 Penny's
Purchased a large online Christmas order 11/24/16. Out of those items, a pair of jeans didn't fit the gift recipient. I tried to exchange them for a larger size on 12/28/16 but they didn't have the size needed. The store would only give me a store credit saying that it was over 30 days. I explained that this was a Christmas present bought during Black Friday sales and they said too bad, it's over 30 days, you can only receive store credit! This is the ONLY store that I know of that does this for Christmas returns. Buyer beware when purchasing Christmas presents during Black Friday, I know I WILL NOT be buying from H&M during this time period again!
So I ordered a pair if jeans and a bra from H&M. Dter like 5 days, I realize that I never receive an email confirmation from them, so I contacted customer services and they told me that since I order stuff with the guess checkout option, I will not receive any confirmation email and so I can't track my package. Luckily, my package arrived the next morning, but whn I opened up the package, I founded my bra and... a blouse! So I never received my jeans and now they out of stock, I will return the ugly blouse they send me and pray to have a refund, but seriously it's ridiculous. I mean, there is cleary a difference between a blouse an a jeans. Anyways, I learned my lesson and will not purchase with them anymore. There are some other company with better service out here. I'm just very glad that I ony ordered two things from them.
Ordered and paid online. Email to say order had been delivered when it hadn't. Only means of contact is via 30 plus minute wait on phone to speak to customer non service. Very polite but say they will call you - they don't. Say they will refund yoo - they don't! Still waiting for refund. Never again
I was trying to make an online purchase and the website rejected 2 of my cards, I called my banks immediately to see what's wrong and they told me that the transaction was approved by the bank but the website is rejecting the card. So I chat with 3 customer rep. And they couldn't helped me at all nor did they know what was the problem, the only thing they told me was to try again later or use another card. So, I did but still no luck. I have already tried 3 different cards now and I do not have a 4th one. I called twice and they still CANNOT help me. As last, I emailed them and guess what? STILL CANNOT HELP ME! On top of this they gave me a 25% off for NEXT purchase! What I am going to do with that if i cannot even place the first order!?
I ordered clothing online on H&M website, I have been waiting for 14 days and only receive one of my shipment, the other one they said it was delivered, but I didn't receive it. I call and email customer service, they didn't mention anything for refund or help me to look at missing package. So I call customer service again, they told me I have to wait another 14 days from the shipping date to get the refund. I feel really frustrated that I couldn't get my refund right away, they might just take away my money. I have to wait another 14 days to ask for refund and I am not sure if they are trustful. I never buying clothing online within Canada retail store have to wait more than a month to get my shipment. I will not use online shopping from H&M again. It is terrible
This is for Tokyo stores in particular, as I haven't been to others.
It used to be a pleasant experience. Recently the staff in both the Odaiba and Shinjuku branches have been terrible. My clothes weren't folded but wadded up and thrust into the bag. Instead of running a price check, in which I was right about the price, the staff member just said no. More recently in the Shinjuku branch there were incorrectly priced items that weren't explained, and staff members called customers to the register without looking then walked away, leaving us to wonder if we had misheard. There was no eye contact, and no interaction on their part.
This service would be terrible even in North America, but in Japan it's truly pathetic. Even though I generally love the style, I've been shopping there much less because of the unhappy experiences.
