Excellent site hobbyking.com. Don't know read many reviews and listened to many opinions. I personally only formed a positive impression of the website. When contacting support, never had any problems, always helped and coached him. The quality of the goods is excellent. Now opened a new warehouse in Russia, has become closer and cheaper, a little minus, but I think will fix it on site shipping address :) (not all automated). Excellent business development. I ordered a Quanum Nova quad copter from this site. The item was advertised with free shipping. The Hobby King courier charged an additional 70 Euros for duty and handling. One of the motors burnt out on the first flight of the quad copter. I returned the unit (at my expense) and Hobby King agreed a free of charge replacement. When this was sent, again by the Hobby King courier, I was again charged 70 Euros for duty. When I complained Hobby King agreed to send out another Quanum Nova via a courier that would not incur a duty charge. This never happened so I asked for a refund. To date this has not happened either. Interestingly when I tried to leave a review on the Hobby King website I was unable to. You need to have placed three orders before you are allowed to review! I will never buy anything from this site again and strongly urge others not to either.
Have bought from them many times and stuff always turns up. Customer service can be slow but the prices are very good.
Only problem is be careful which shipping you choose, NEVER choose SCS EXPRESS as they overcharge for Customs and Handling!
Otherwise great company.
Buyers beware - Placed two orders three months ago and still have not received the items. Indicated that they have 'opened a investigation that takes 4 to 8 weeks'. Wow! Must be a major investigation or perhaps they have lost a bunch of items. Both orders where apparently shipped via Malaysia post airmail. Extremely poor service - Not sure how this company is able to stay in business.
Your order does not arrive, they do nothing, keep telling you wait... until it's too late to get your money back from PayPal. Your order never turns up, you DO NOT EVER get your money back. This is a criminal company, that rips people off! If you try to leave a review they don't like, for a product or generally on their FB page, they do not publish it They sensor reviews and only publish good ones, which they probably have to make up.
Placed an order and paid for items from Hobbyking, 43 days later ( NOTHING)!
Contacted Hobyking by live chat service and all i got there was a run around and passing the
Buck, informing me to go and look for the undelivered items myself. In so many words that it was not their problem...
( REFUND)? Oh yes we will look into it and have never heard from them again four months later. So guess who has gotten ripped off...
Will be avoiding and also not recommending hobbyking to other people
Shipping of items is a long and painful process and follow-up support is non-existent with support tickets being closed when they're not resolved.

Just made my first order with hobbyking, I'm from Europe and I just order items that were available in Europe Warehouse. Right after I payed my order, I just check with hobbyking where my product would coming from and they were fast replying that the origin would be from Hong-Kong. Once I'm from Europe it doesn't make sense, so I ask them to cancel my order so that I could order from their European Warehouse. No more replies to my messages and I'm just receiving robot messages saying that my order is going on. Terrible experience for my first order. Never got this problem with any other RC Company. Once they have your money they just don't care. They just bought bad publicity and they just lose a customer on his first order. GREAT COMPANY!
These clowns are painful to deal with. They had my money (my credit card account showed a charge) but insisted on a photo copy of the credit card showing my name to continue the order process. This was not my first order to HK so it caught me off guard. And since I was traveling in Europe it took about a week to submit the image. After I sent them the picture it took almost another week before they acknowledged receipt of it and released the order. Three weeks (3!) later they still show the order as paid and packed but not shipped. How do they stay in business? Certainly not from repeat customers who are happy to spend their money there. This will be my last order from them unless hell freezes over or they are the only source for something I need.
Pathetic - I would not touch them again with a 20 foot disinfected barge pole! I am still waiting for delivery over 2 months after they took my payment.
Love the way they tell you delivery could take up to 45 days only to change that description to 45 business days when questioned knowing that if you wait this length of time PayPal will not accept a claim. Why PayPal are still supporting this parasite of a company is beyond me?
Nine weeks and counting...
My order was shipped May 21st. I could not pull it up on any package tracking systems after many attempts.
I put in a support ticket on June 25th as I heard nothing about my package. They pointed me to the Malaysian POS site, and I was able to find the package there, saying it was shipped to the US on June 14th (two weeks prior to the support ticket). Customer support said that it would arrive by July 15th.
It is now July 17th and still nothing.
I have put in another customer support ticket to see if they can tell me what is going on. It was a $120 order that I'm missing, and wondering if I flushed that money down the toilet.
I hoping for the best, but at this point expecting the worst... very disappointed, especially given the amount I've spent with them.
I have placed several orders with HIK.
1. They address bottom end hobby needs at very decent prices
2. They offer a very wide choice of material
3. Shipping and follow-up stinks. This is the only reason why I have decided to switch to other stores (mainland China stores known to be slow are much faster than Hobbyking)
All of the above pretty much sums it up. I have payed for items and have not received them. The tracking number dead ends and they tell me it's up to me to find out where the item is. Waiting on Paypal to get a refund. Second bad transaction with these losers and the last. Beware. Easy to fall prey to the fancy site and prices but most of it is junk and they will probably fail to deliver it or warranty it.
I can not give them a rating - they are terrible. I had to give them one star to submit. I was told to wait for over 2 months for order to be shipped. It was suppose to be a birthday gift. The response - "need to hear from warehouse". When I stated to cancel the order - then they heard from warehouse and item could be shipped. As I no longer could trust them - I wanted a refund. Now we have to check with warehouse again and no further response. DO NOT ORDER FROM THEM! Once they have your money - they do nothing.
I finally navigated through their ordering pages & had my order all set. Clicked on "Pay". First I tried using PayPal, and only got very vague errors. I tried 3 times, no luck. Then I created an account & tried to use a CC direct. Also nothing but vague errors. Tried the Live Chat customer service & that was a complete joke. Canned responses, no concern I was trying to pay & couldn't get it to work. I will never order (or try to order) from this company again. Extremely bad...
It seems lately whenever I buy a plane from H. K., I can expect to have at least one bad servo. Get used to it if you want their products. I also accept the fact that if there's something wrong with my order that there's no sense in trying to do anything about it, would only cause more frustration. Can anyone else relate to this?
I wish I had read these reviews before purchasing a $50 gift certificate from them for my boyfriend. Never got the gift certificate and also never received ANY response to the multiple multiple emails I sent inquiring. Also now I look like an $#*! because I gave my boyfriend nothing for his birthday. Thanks for the $50 nothing, Hobby King.
Bought a plane from these people, and the instructions were one notch above worthless. My current order was placed one month ago and paid for with paypal. Items are supposedly in stock in USA, but have not shipped. Customer service is worthless. They stall for awhile then just don't answer messages. There is no phone support so you are totally ignored by the company. Prices may be lower, but you pay for it in aggravation.

Answer: It all depends on the Bank that you. Plus check on why it took the refund. In fact, the refund is quick from an average of 3-4 days. Actually just given extra time for both the seller and the Bank. And accordingly, if the seller has constant operations on a refund, this has a negative impact on the company's rating for the Bank. Especially if there are disputes between buyer and seller. From my experience, the returns are realized in several ways: 1. On credit card 2. On account on the HobbyKing website. 3. Or product if not reached or was spoiled. Damaged goods was a couple of times, and some of the delivery services. Overall, the problems with the refund arose. Sorry for bad English.

Answer: In all honesty, I think it only means they got your money. That's all they seem to care about. I've been going round and round with them saying my order is complete when in fact they still owe me about 70% of the total order. They refuse to split the order and I'm tired of arguing with them. From some of the other reviews, it sounds like it's their method to start the clock early on the return policy. Regardless of whether you have actually received the item or not, the return policy starts when they say the order is complete.

Answer: Hi Peter. Unfortunately I don't have the FlyBaby any more to check the battery bay I can however tell you I used ZIPPY Flightmax 3000mAh 4S1P 20C@ 139x46x25mm. A larger battery will fit but IMHO you will probably be better off with a 2200 to keep it as light as possible. Al
