I purchased some items online and they were delivered to the wrong address. I know this because whoever delivered it took a photo and the photo was of a porch that I do not recognize. I have been going back and forth between the Hobby Lobby Customer service and the shipper for over a week, and both companies are telling me the order has been delivered. I explained multiple times that it was delivered to the wrong address and that I would like a resolution, and they will not budge. This is so frustrating as I paid for the order and someone else has it, and they will not give me a refund. The one item I ordered is no longer is stock, so I cannot even repurchase it if I wanted to. Hobby Lobby has just lost a customer. They can't even support their customers by making the situation right! I have heard that others have had trouble getting refunds from them also. What a sneaky and disloyal company. I wasted my hard earned money on a purchase I will never see and that someone else now has.
I would NOT suggest buying large frames from Hobby Lobby! My daughter purchased a 20x30 frame with glass and when she got home and took the back off to put her picture in it the glass broke in 3 pieces! I called the Gainesville Ga. Store where she purchased it to see if she could exchange it or return it and there response was There is nothing we can do! And now she is out $30.00. And she sat in the floor balling because she doesn't have money like that to spend! Oh it was for a gift!
I passed an aisle where there was a woman sitting on the floor. An employee was bringing her a wheelchair. Past getting her off the floor, the staff refused any help. I was told it was against their policy to call 911. I called for the woman and wheeled her out front to meet the ambulance while the employees watched and then silently went back to work. I will never step foot in another Hobby Lobby again. It's not safe for women my age. Anything can happen at any point and I would expect some sort of action from the staff.
Chelsea, the clerk who helped us in the framing section, was the best! She had suggestions as she walked thru the frame section and then did all the hardware attachments to make our 3 pictures look very good! Pleasant, helpful, efficient & affordable service at Danville VA Hobby Lobby!
I just started trying my hand at crafting and it's been a learning experience! But, purchasing all the items I need at Hobby Lobby has been a smooth transition. They carry everything a crafter needs plus, they always run a discount (depending on the day of the week) You can find the most unique products there. From wood pieces, jewelry pieces to scrap book paper and decorations for the yard! Furniture, beautiful flowers and so much more! I definitely recommend them for crafter's but for anyone looking to find great products at affordable prices!
HK has hundreds of items and people buy them! Which is the problem when you were trying to check out. They need to start up an Xpress line, for people who have five or less items in their carts. I have walked out of the store on several occasions after spending 10 minutes standing in one spot in line with four people ahead of me with tons of items in their carts- when I only have two. I have made the suggestion to a store manager to start an express line. His response was - "oh but this is the way we always do things." Basically he was completely uninterested in improving customer service. They do not use barcodes, everything is manually entered which is just archaic in this day and age especially in a store that has so many customers. So they will go the way of the dinosaurs eventually unless they improve their checkout procedure.
I just wanted to give a great shout out to Vincent Reyes, he went beyond what anyone would do. I brought my pictures in to have new glass done and some mats made for these old pictures. The glass was not cut to right size nor was mats so he called me to bring frames in and he measured and put them back together. He went the extra mile and used white gloves to put glass in and blew out dust and debris. He even took the old nails out and stapled it for me. He was such an awesome guy to help me. If want your professional framing done go see Vincent Reyes in Greenville Hobby Lobby.he evened wrapped them
Hobby lobby is a private business & can run their business as they choose. Closed on Sundays, not selling Halloween items, if they want to lose the monumental sales from these & other events they do not see as appropriate for them so be it. My issue is with basic customer service that ALL retail establishments should adhere to.
In a nutshell - the attitude of their employees is far from "Christian". They are actually judgmental & rude. Which leads to their horrendous return policy. I used to be a regular customer & without a receipt they will not return, or even exchange items - sealed in hobby lobby packaging. They actually treat you like a shop lifter - so very Christian.
That is not to mention their archaic checkout system at the register where you can only rely on the young, often uninformed cashiers to give you the correct pricing advertised. If you get a more seasoned employee more often than not they have an attitude.
Their online website is so out of date it's pathetic.
I must say this is the second negative review I have written in my life - I'm not a picky or a difficult customer but I can't NOT comment on this!
I made all my Christmas gifts, all the materials coming from here. The quality is okay, sometimes tipping toward cheap. The prices are just okay. If you are serious about crafting, you need to buy in bulk or really shop around.
Their political stances are also terrible. I honestly feel guilty about even perusing the online catalog. If there was another craft store by me I'd go there instead.
I went into the Waterloo, IA store today with a receipt and damaged merchandise. The balloon straw and the plastic wrap was missing but that shouldn't have prevented an exchange. I informed them the balloon column kit was defective as well. Most of the balloons either popped or were misshapen. They didn't care, the manager kept saying I can't resell that. My reply was you shouldn't it's defective! How rude.
Answer: This shop reeks of racism. I will be using Michaels. Thank you
Answer: Unethically legit. HL really needs to evaluate their own marketing plan and step up their hiring practices in addition to stop buying B2B products from outside mass production sources. At least look at the quality before sticking and reselling total garbage. And ask yourselves "why are our employees so miserable"? Unhealthy culture = unhappy customers.
Answer: I have never been to Winston-Salem in North Carolina.
