This was a significant investment for us, but one that was competitively offered. Mike and his crew were prompt, efficient, thorough, and completed the work in two days. The crew left our pool and surrounding landscape in good condition. I would recommend Desert Mesa Pools services to anyone needing pool deck repair.
Angi's leads has been hands down THE WORST lead service that I have ever used. Do not, I repeat, do not use their services. It's a complete rip off. They will send you a "lead" and charge you no matter what comes from it.Even if the lead is bogus. They sent me a lead where the number was disconnected, asked them for a a refund on the bad lead and no, the refund was denied. Sent me another with the wrong number, doesn't matter, still charged me $189 for the lead with no refund. I also found out that they will send you and 2-3 other people the same lead and charge everyone for the lead no matter what. It's a scam. I called and asked to speak to a supervisor, and even the supervisors were like Yep we send you the number and you can charge to matter what. Doesn't even matter if they don't call you back. Angi makes money by ripping off hard working people. So surprised that they are still in business. I would give zero stars if they allowed me to..

Angi leads service
It is a terrible web: I just filled the form without requesting anything. They gave my info to any contractor. I got numerous calls and texts each day.

I search for the contractor for my kitchen remodeling.
Mountain Home Remdeling in Laural MD did my roof. At first glance it looked great,so I gave a high rating. Within a short time I had stains on my ceilings, a sheet rock peeling and falling out of place. They sent someone todo a worthless repair job that lasted only a short while. I have a great deal of damage I have had to pay for broken rafters and repairs to vents system. Repair is needing to be redone where handyman supposedly fixed. Yet, Angi refused to downgrade my review.

My time is valuable, just as anyone else's is, but apparently Home Advisor thinks I work for free...which I DO NOT!
Now that we have establish. This is a concept called "consulting", and consultants cost money.
Home Advisor will have to contact me to make payment arrangements prior to me doing any consulting work for their company. Again, I DON'T WORK FOR FREE, but apparently Home Advisor is nothing but a common free-loading panhandler, expecting something for nothing!
Home Advisor...if you want a review from me, YOU WILL NEED TO PAY ME FOR MY HELP!
Scam company I don't recommend anyone advertise with them. They provide you with bogus leads anything from disc #, wrong # to people that never requested a quote, charge you almost $100 per lead and when you dispute they deny. Their customer service has gone down the drain. Don't believe these fake 5 star reviews. There isn't one single contractor I know that's happy with their service. Screw them anyway you can because that's exactly what they will do to you. There's videos on the web of x employees stating they purposely generated their fake reviews. Also there's been many class action lawsuits won against these scumbags

Stay away
After only 1 month of a year membership I called numerous times to cancel. I Never asked for refund just wanted to Be done with this company. Dozens of calls later and continued leads. FInally Had to block all incoming calls for leads that were still coming to me. HA told me my membership was indeed cancelled 5.2018 Today 9. 7. 2018 over 4 months later my companies bank account tapped for some lead I never even knew about and robbed of 110.00. Called customer support numerous times and told I need to speak to a supervisor. They put me on you on hold multiple times for over an hour then hang up. Fake leads, deceptive marketing and thieves. Biggest contractor rip off of the century! Class action Law suit is forthcoming. Criminals!
Homeadvisor lies to contractors that sign up and refuses to credit money for jobs charged outside of there area. As you can see from the picture they assigned 22 leads and 19! Were out of my 20 radius.
Signed up for annual membership only $347.98, Charged additional $904.52 without authorization. Account closed due to fraud, membership closed after discovering charges within one month. Scam involves setting up a profile and turning on "leads" (leads are unqualified and not verified and you are charged regardless) you are suppose to know how the systems & apps work from day one while they are charging you behind the software where they have set up "spend targets". No transparency and when you request help "the system is down". The live help line cannot see your account to help you understand how the scam/system works. Refunds are promised - don't believe it, they scam and Lie.
Tip for consumers:
DON'T DO IT - YOU WILL REGRET IT!
Have hand nothing but bad experience with this company. I used one of there vented contractor for concrete work and it was horrible. And only help was to use their arbitration. This contractor is still on here so be careful. I'm sure there are other start up contractors. I would not recommend Angie or home advisor. Home advisor as they only seem to care if they get there money even if you get screwed. Just do your homework on any contractor, as any one can put pictures on a site and say that a company can do anything. Thanks to southern Hills Concrete LLC for screwing me.
Tip for consumers:
Don’t use Angie or home advisor
I often get leads that are matched up with multiple people for a small job or not the correct contact info. Don't even think about getting refunds on your leads (they are overpriced to begin with). Here is an example of a "premium" lead that I received today. This stuff has become so common that I had to share because they have taken so much money from my business and I would not recommend relying on them for quality leads.
I called one time just for some information and within 2 days, i have received over 50 emails! Bombarding someone with so many emails is harassment and not how business should be done. I've called twice to remove my account information and I'm still getting emails. I've blocked multiple email addresses but clearly this is Home advisors plan because they are coming from different email addresses.
These folks will tell you whatever it takes to sign you up. After I paid the $300 and passed there background test they had one bunk lead for me. After unsuccessful pursuing that one review, I decided to cancel my account. What a waste of time and money.
Upon calling home advisor for a pressure cleaning service of drive way patio and the roof. Fantastic roofing LLC called immediately. Showing five stars... I gave him the contract to clean immediately thinking that home advisor recommendation and five stars are enough for me. Andre, the owner spoke to me and when I reached home after work and after service day 11-4-2019... the pavers were still with black spots... tried to call him he hung up on me twice... since then trying to reach home advisor customer service no response... rather they will send you more vendors to clean your house... my first ever experience and a very bad one...
The "pro" they sent cost us a new dryer! It should've been a simple part replacement and turned out he really didn't know what he was doing.
It took two weeks to "fix" the problem (see picture) then the first time I went to use it and boom nothing happened. So I wound up contacting another local company for help. Not only was I extremely overcharged by homeadvisor for the "fix" but it cost us double due to the dryer being broken in the process of him fixing it.
Ricky Salazar, Owner will not reimburse me $6,000 for an illegal re-roof according to Oregon State Building Codes *******580, Item 10 a & b. Never received a warranty. He had no workmen's comp. On his workers at the time of my illegal re-roof. Ricky Salazar License *******. Check out his citation on Oregon CCB Website. I am 81 and only have SS. I had to borrow the $6,000 and am paying it back at $271.00 a month.
HomeAdvisor posted the following five (5) star review using my name -
"Project: Install or Replace an Asphalt Shingle Roof
They worked with my insurance and helped me to get my roof replacement covered. They worked fast and were professional. They actually upgraded my roof and gave me a great warranty along with it. My experience with them is one of the best experiences I have had with a contractor. It was easy, fast and everything looks great. They paid close attention to detail and everyone cleaned up very well after everything was completed."
The problem? I did NOT write the review. Five stars for a professional' whose idea of unloading sheeting is to raise the front of the trailer and slamming dozens of 4 x 8 boards into our garage door?
Conclusions: HomeAdvisor does NOT verify reviews!
Any 5 star review of a 'pro' posted on/by HomeAdvisor is most likely a fraud!
Scheduled move out cleaning 3 weeks prior to move out date. Home advisor called and cancelled appointment an hour prior to arrival. Wanted to reschedule it for the day after I moved out. Find a local person to do whatever job you need done and do not use this middle man who will not guarantee anything.
First providers to respond didn't have good reviews or reviews in line with the work that I needed.
Provider info is sketchy at best. Difficult to check; licensed, bonded, insured.
Multi level of sub-contracting.
Our window treatment contractor and water softner contractor were spot on; however I cannot say the same for the others we had through Home Advisor. Excercise some due diligence before signing a contract.
I had actually contacted this business on my own and did not use HomeAdvisor. I find HomeAdvisor to be somewhat of a hindrance, especially when looking for a craftsman at his trade, but can see it is needed in order to keep both parties honest.
Had a VERY small yard that needed a cleanup. Weeds, top off some shrubs, cut down a overgrown aloe type plant. No paperwork, no license, overcharged, job done poorly. Then I see all the complaints online. Why is this company still ripping people off? It just goes on and on and nobody does anything to stop these people!
Hi Don, We're sorry to hear you had this experience with a pro. We recommend getting multiple estimates in order to find the pro that best meets your project requirements. We also verify state level licensing and, while the requirements will vary from state to state, there is often times not a license needed for a lawn cleanup. If you haven't done so already, please share your experience by reviewing this pro here: http://www.homeadvisor.com/write-a-review/. We're more than happy to further address your concerns, please call Customer Care at 877-699-4736 or send your contact info to emailus@homeadvisor.com to speak with a rep. -HASupport
Home Advisor was non-responsive and I had to find a glass contractor on my own. You have gotten too big too fast and cannot compensate properly for your growth and it clearly shows in responding ( or lack thereof) to the customer.
Home advisor was good a few years back now their leads are junk and they let anyone come aboard. The new contracts are not qualified professionals and are undercutting by half or more ruining the industry that I'm in. They set up their app so you can easily press the wrong buttons to accept leads and then have to call to try to get a credit, which is futile. There system even accepts leads for you and they say sorry we can't help you because we can't prove it. Was once a good company now a terrible company. That's why I gave it a two rating or it would of received a one star.
