This was a significant investment for us, but one that was competitively offered. Mike and his crew were prompt, efficient, thorough, and completed the work in two days. The crew left our pool and surrounding landscape in good condition. I would recommend Desert Mesa Pools services to anyone needing pool deck repair.
Angi's leads has been hands down THE WORST lead service that I have ever used. Do not, I repeat, do not use their services. It's a complete rip off. They will send you a "lead" and charge you no matter what comes from it.Even if the lead is bogus. They sent me a lead where the number was disconnected, asked them for a a refund on the bad lead and no, the refund was denied. Sent me another with the wrong number, doesn't matter, still charged me $189 for the lead with no refund. I also found out that they will send you and 2-3 other people the same lead and charge everyone for the lead no matter what. It's a scam. I called and asked to speak to a supervisor, and even the supervisors were like Yep we send you the number and you can charge to matter what. Doesn't even matter if they don't call you back. Angi makes money by ripping off hard working people. So surprised that they are still in business. I would give zero stars if they allowed me to..
If you are a contractor and Home Advisor is bugging you with promises of a steady lead of eager homeowners... RUN! Do not give these scam artists free reign of your bank account.
They charge you a lead fee to send you homeowner contact info, even if the homeowner is window shopping or simply browsing ideas. When the homeowner doesn't call you back, after several attempts, you're somehow still "ineligible for a refund" of fee HA charged. Customer service promises to send an email of explanation, no email ever comes. They take your money (as well as the money of the two or three other contractors to which they referred that same lead) and they don't look back. They are 100% scam artists.
I am highly disappointed in the lack of service I have received from Home Advisor. I was supposed to have leaves removed from my front and back yard last Monday, 11/4. It is now Friday, 11/8, and the job that was supposed to take 2 hours is still not complete. Home Advisor has sent 3 different contractors who have failed to complete the job. Today the 4th contractor was supposed to come to finish the job and didn't show up. I have wasted hours on the phone this week being transferred, put on hold, told I would received calls back that never were, and been given assurances that the job would be complete. I have asked numerous times for their corporate office's direct line and email but was refused. All I am asking is for the job to be completed, but for some unknown reason this still hasn't happened. Does anyone at Home Advisor care about customer service. Obviously not.
I have been having trouble trying to find a contractor to fix my pool heater. Home Advisor stated for a fixed price they would send a contractor to fix the pool at an agreed upon time. Two days before the appointment they confirmed the appointment. At 6:45 the morning of the appointment they text me that there was a Pro call out and would have to reschedule. First what the hell is a "call out", second why confirm, Third they didn't even have a contractor to do the job. But I paid in advance and yes "$#*! happens". But the next appointment the same thing happened. I can't keep rambling on about the poor customer service. Suffice to say just find your own contractor and stay away from Home Scammers.
I have been a contractor on Home Advisor. I would say 80% of the leads you receive and have to pay for don't answer or call back. 19% that answer say their information was stolen, that they never signed up to receive any calls, and that it is a scam! Usually they are extremely upset to be getting called. That leads us to the 1% that might actually need work done. I wonder where Home Advisor gets peoples information? It's not right if they are actually stealing homeowners' information so that we the contractors have to pay for a lead.
Hired through Home Advisor for a contractor to fix soil erosion in my back yard last year his name was Shawn Powell charged me $800.00 for the job that was clearly worth around $350.00 -$400.00.
Complained through Home Advisor and their policy was to contact the contractor for their response, the next thing when I checked for his response Home Advisor deleted my post.
Beware they are trying to maintain a 5.0 rating to compete with the other companies but their reviews for their contractors can be deceptive and misleading customers in the process of trying to find a good contractor that's honest and actually do what the job right.
It is not often that you find a quality contractor. Weatherproof roofing company is the exception/ We needed our flashing repaired ASAP. Adam came out on the weekend and gave me a reasonable quote and then had the work done a few days later. The price was reasonable and he did what he said he would do. He even fixed a couple of leaking pipes on the roof too.
The leads that they send are not vetted. Some leads won't return your call. Other leads are just in the planning or budgeting phase not really interested in a real project. Some leads are not related to your business. You cannot get a real person to get issued a credit. Some leads I paid $75 dollars and it was like flushing money down the toilet. Their automated answering system denies virtually all inquires for refunds. Absolutely worst investment I made in my business. Don't make the same mistake that I did. Stay away from this rip off scheme.
I needed some large tree limbs removed, that were hanging over my house. Home Advisor made it easy for me to locate a tree service.
Family Tree Service did an excellent job at safely removing large limbs from trees close to my house. They got the job done in a timely manner, chopped up the limbs, and cleaned up all the debris. I am very pleased with their work.
Will never use home advisor again. We hired a professional plumber to turn our single vanity bathroom sink into a double vanity. We explained what needed to be done and was quickly accepted by the "plumber" After 6 trips to the hardware store and multiple people coming to help the plumber do the job they confidently accepted we quickly learned these plumbers had NO idea what they were doing. They offered to be paid under the table to keep it cheaper. Needless to say, the whole ordeal was sketchy, and when they told us they would need an extra day we told them to not return. Due to the fact we would need a professional plumber to fix the mess they had created. I found multiple lawsuits against home advisor, so please just google a professional company to get your home improvement work done. It's not worth the headache or money.
I'm posting this review for contractors. This company is not legit. They take your money and the leads go nowhere. You're charged for leads that don't respond as well as the ones you don't respond to. I've lost so much money dealing with HomeAdvisor. I suggest you promote your own business. And word of mouth goes a long way.
Tip for consumers:
Contractors should not use this site!
This service does not screen their leads before they attempt to charge for them. I cancelled my yearly membership within one week telling them that it did not work for me and they charged me for some idiotic false leads approximately 5 in the amount of $ 250.00+-. I am very disappointed in the absence of professionalism with clients.
I would have given Home Advisor a higher rating, but I am not pleased with their new procedure. When you need a service and don't know who to call, they can provide this information. But then it is taken out of our hands! I want to have companies and their reviews provided directly to me. Then, I would check them out and contact the best ones I selected. Now they are having contractors contact the person seeking help. It then comes out of my control! I don't like it!
Stop using this app. It is unfair to the contractors. If 4 companies bid on the job, all get charged regardless of who wins the job. Up to $90 each! Many "leads" can't even be contacted and yet you are charged a fee. Try to get your money back and you might as well forget it in many cases.
I hired Longhorn concrete to resurface my sidewalks as they have sunk several inches as a result of multiple floods. They came and stole a sheet of my plywood to make their forms. They had no power, so I ran a cord from my garage. They poured the sidewalks and left a mess of pulled up grass and paper. The sidewalk is so rough a
Nd wavy as to preclude comfortable walking. The surface is covered by small rocks and dust from the concrete. They didn't even sweep off the surface. They used my garbage cans for their refuse. I wanted sidewalks that were at least simi smooth. I paid them without a close inspection.
I was having a lot of trouble finding a contractor to repair my deck, a relatively small job as decks go. HomeAdvisor set me up with three contractors right away, as a result I selected a quality contractor and had the work done in minimum time. Fabulous!
Using Home Advisor was able to quickly find a company that I could afford to do a repair that saved my family from freezing in the middle of winter. Calling around would have taken forever and doing all the price comparisons and negotiations would have probably made me give up. I liked that I could communicate with several companies all on one app and I could see who was the best fit for the job.

I was trying to find a vendor to replace a water softener it was past its useful life. The company that came out did not do a hard sell. They just tried to inform me about my options and what options might be best for my family.
Needed a landscaper for a cleanup job for new tenants. Home advisor gave me a few options but I also received phone calls from different prospects who could offer me quotes. I chose Miguel's Landscaping and it was the best thing I could have done! Exceptional work.
I was sent ample contractors to choose from, they all were different in their own way, after time passed home advisor checked in to see if i needed more. This gave me the opportunity to make an inform decision on the personality i wanted to work with.
I have been trying to get my screen repaired through a company called handy that home advisor connected me with. These people have sent 2 "pros" in the last 2 weeks neither of which knew what the job was before they arrived after i put specific instructions on what needed to be done. Neither of the so called pros had the tools they needed to do the job. Not the materials the tools. The last guy showed up and didn't even have a ladder! This site is a rip off. I am out my money and the job still is not done
This was the best experience I have EVER had with a vendor. I am telling everyone I know about this company. They were on time and completed the job exactly as they promised. I have already put them in my calendar for 3 years from now. Awesome!
I would never trust this site for another referral. I am actually concerned for my safety as the contractors from this site know my location, seemed to canvas my home, yet never provided a bid and promised lots that was not delivered. Just horrible service... stay away!
I was a first time Home Advisor user. Home Advisor made it easy to connect with several potential contractors to obtain quotes for work performed. Additionally, I feel the company went above and beyond to ensure that I had an adequate pool of assistance to choose from.
They lie so much, this place are specialist in stealing your money and acting innocent, a lot of make made up leads that are probably made out by them. Stay away from them, they will ruin your business. If you get any leads that are fake or people not even trying to buy your service even if you can prove it, they won't credit that back or even care at all.
Tip for consumers:
Don’t use them

Fake company, they are supposed to refund you but they just steal your money, if I could put negative 10 I would not stars

I've been with Home Advisor since 2016. I have stayed with them in hopes they make changes to their company.
Instead they charge me even when my leads are turned off! At first they told free it was a system glitch.
The second time this happened in two weeks is awful. I have realized they charge people even when leads are "turned off."
This is not right and is dishonest and is not trust worthy. Contractors check your account because if you don't catch it you will be charged.
I have posted two pictures of my leads being turned off at 12:00 AM
THEY CHARGED ME AT 4 PM (same day).
