This was a significant investment for us, but one that was competitively offered. Mike and his crew were prompt, efficient, thorough, and completed the work in two days. The crew left our pool and surrounding landscape in good condition. I would recommend Desert Mesa Pools services to anyone needing pool deck repair.
Angi's leads has been hands down THE WORST lead service that I have ever used. Do not, I repeat, do not use their services. It's a complete rip off. They will send you a "lead" and charge you no matter what comes from it.Even if the lead is bogus. They sent me a lead where the number was disconnected, asked them for a a refund on the bad lead and no, the refund was denied. Sent me another with the wrong number, doesn't matter, still charged me $189 for the lead with no refund. I also found out that they will send you and 2-3 other people the same lead and charge everyone for the lead no matter what. It's a scam. I called and asked to speak to a supervisor, and even the supervisors were like Yep we send you the number and you can charge to matter what. Doesn't even matter if they don't call you back. Angi makes money by ripping off hard working people. So surprised that they are still in business. I would give zero stars if they allowed me to..
Needed quotes on upgrading/insulating our sun-room to extend our usage. Home Advisor provided several contacts for local contractors. I got very quick responses from the contractors and immediate follow-up from Home Advisor to see if I'd been contacted. I am new to this area and Home Advisor was extremely helpful in providing me with information about each contractor.
I had a leak caused by a fallen tree from a wind storm. The day before the appointment, the repairman called to confirm. He asked me if I HAD A LADDER. He found two holes in the roof in which he temporarily patched. He took pictures of the damage on his cell phone. I asked him to forward them to me for my insurance claim. Never heard from him again. Calls and texts go unanswered. Home Advisor emails claim they will "contact the repairman," but he doesn't respond to them, either, yet I keep getting emails from Home Advisor asking how my experience went and how is their customer service. Just typical automated customer service lip service with no intention of helping or resolving the matter. Angie should be ashamed of herself.
I contacted Home Advisor to get a quote on replacing the glass in 2 different windows. The contractor came and took measurements. My debit card was then charged $562.50 for the quote alone. On top of $1200 to get the glass fixed. I will never use this service. Use the Nextdoor or Social Media to get a quote from the same contractors for free!

"The project was top notch. Not only did they consistently show up on time, but did a great job communicating throughout the process and changes. I started out with one thing in mind but as the project progressed I asked for changes. They were eager to accommodate and worked very hard to make sure I was pleased. If you're a really hungry contractor that can work cheap, this might work for you. But be careful, understand what they will be charging you for and how much. You can lose track quickly. Don't assume that what the salesman tells you is correct. Be really clear and take notes.
Personally, as an established contractor with a crew of guys, this is an absolute no go. Crummy leads that have not been vetted for reality. A lot of time and $$ wasted.
This is a FRAUD company! Sign for $287 per phone for all the service, when the money were taken, they suddenly started to take extra $29 per referred customer without any notice, without any information in advance! Referred customer does not mean contract or work for you! They can say no thank you, but you will still going to pay to Home Adviser!
This was the absolute best experience ever when it comes to hiring someone for a job. He showed up on time and kept me informed. He scheduled the work and I had no worries about him showing up. Home advisor was great to connect me to this professional but I can't express enough how wonderful a job he did. We are 100% satisfied!
Fabulous. I took several bids and picked Pro Painting Plus. I could not be happier. Ali's work is perfection and he is a gentleman and easy to work with. I love my new colors on the house. Mine was a tough job... Old house, clapboard siding. Etc... He pressure washed. Then patched... then started painting. You will be happy that you hired him.
One plumber told me they did not come into Cleveland to do work (from Medina) and had advised a number of time to not provide their company info to Cleveland area requests. Aside from that all was as advertised.
Spoke with Angie's list regarding finding someone for attic insulation. Person on the phone had very good telephone etiquette. Was friendly and helpful. I was given information on one company that I included in my search for the job
Had a problem with my pressure tank, never owned a house on a well system, did not want to tackle this on my own, so I called home advisor. Everything worked out perfect I will use these contractors again
Well they gave me several businesses to choose from for my project. I was reading the reviews and researching the companies through other resources when 3 of the companies started calling. Two of them I could not understand and I set an appointment with the one I could. One of the others just showed up and provided a quote but it was very hard to communicate with him. I would have preferred that I made the first contact after my research was done.
Home Advisor was excellent, the follow up was helpful. However, ever since, I have been receiving emails about all kinds of projects. I have a new home, I don't need to fix anything at this point in time. Your service was excellent and the follow up was right on time. But I will let you know when I need help with a different project. I am done with projects at this point in time. Hence give me a break with regard to all of the emails flooding my box daily. Home advisor has gotten very creative and works very hard on how to screw their contractors in regards to leads. You're better off finding a pro on their service and calling them direct after researching them yourself. They have messed with how you receive leads, turn them on/off... etc. To the point where no matter what you do you will get hit with lead costs. And then they refuse to credit you unless you threaten them with litigation.
I contacted Neil and Evelyn to clean and organize because I was injured in a car accident and needed help with housekeeping. In four hours they cleaned, lifted and organized transforming an overwhelming mess. It looks like home again.
Efficiency Air's proposal was the best of the 6 bids. Tim explained everything, and answered all our questions, and had the most reasonable price. They showed up on time to replace our existing HVAC in the attic. They got the job done in one day and cleaned up afterwards. He stayed later to educate us on how to operate the new HVAC. We are very pleased with the services and highly recommend Efficiency Air.
Have almost always been satisfied with the contractors who are on the home advisor list. This is not my first project using Home Advisors. I believe this Company checks out the contractor before listing them on their web site
I really would never use this site again. You can Google the same thing and not have the hassle of someone making an appointment to give you a quote and never show up. Which happened to me several times.

Beyond my expectations
They stepped up and helped me with projects connected to the yard and fencing. Listened carefully to my needs. Understood that this project was time sensitive and worked hard to completion. The finished fence and 4 gates are just wonderful and I know that they will be my go to guys for future projects. As. A new local startup we need to support this new green company. Thanks a heap guys!
Don't know about home advisor, this company called back before I put the phone down and was here in 45 minutes for the estimate. I have called before for other projects ie roofing, siding, grading days of no response.
Paid $29.99 membership fee to sign up. Both projects I tried didn't work out. Both contractors gave fake low price to get an onsite opportunity, but when they came to my house, they both asked more, and literally said 'come on, do you really think the online price is reasonable'? I did fill in my project detail accurate online, and I did feel the price is surprisingly low, I thought I was gonna get a membership discount, it turned out to be a membership scam.
Hardwood floor replacement was complete in 4 days. Ed certainly is a master at his craft. I had ideas. He had suggestions. I utilized Ed's suggestions knowing that this is what he does, and I don't know much about these things. Prompt, meticulous, thorough in his approach to the project. He is persistent, and calls back immediately. I was reluctant to return his call, and received a second call and text. No regrets here. Sheer perfection!
As many other reviewers have posted, just a totally inept company. I had a minor service rescheduled twice, the first time with 2 hours notice on the day of the service and the second time with no notice at all. The service required me to be at home so two days of vacation wasted. It was difficult to contact customer service to cancel the rescheduled appointment and process a refund as I had prepaid for the service. Customer service was completely disinterested in resolving this situation, most likely due to the amount of irate callers they receive on a daily basis.
HomeAdvisor, we are always willing to look over billing and offer refunds when they are necessary. When a dispute is made with a bank instead of contacting our support team first, this is when we deactivate the account so this trend doesn't continue for future bookings.
