This was a significant investment for us, but one that was competitively offered. Mike and his crew were prompt, efficient, thorough, and completed the work in two days. The crew left our pool and surrounding landscape in good condition. I would recommend Desert Mesa Pools services to anyone needing pool deck repair.
Angi's leads has been hands down THE WORST lead service that I have ever used. Do not, I repeat, do not use their services. It's a complete rip off. They will send you a "lead" and charge you no matter what comes from it.Even if the lead is bogus. They sent me a lead where the number was disconnected, asked them for a a refund on the bad lead and no, the refund was denied. Sent me another with the wrong number, doesn't matter, still charged me $189 for the lead with no refund. I also found out that they will send you and 2-3 other people the same lead and charge everyone for the lead no matter what. It's a scam. I called and asked to speak to a supervisor, and even the supervisors were like Yep we send you the number and you can charge to matter what. Doesn't even matter if they don't call you back. Angi makes money by ripping off hard working people. So surprised that they are still in business. I would give zero stars if they allowed me to..
Tried calling 7 or so local Septic tank pumping companies with no luck. Tried HomeAdvisor (for the first time) and entered my problem/info. Within 5 minutes I got a call from Panico Excavation who ended up being an awesome 5-star company! They solved the problem and were very professional and personable! Would recommend Panico Excavation and HomeAdvisor to anyone, great experience!
Doesnt get any easier. I called, Sue answered, and I felt right at home with her. She scheduled Matt to come and his ideas/suggestions were on target. The installers came and accessed the situation worked great together. Attention to detail, trained well. Reynolds should be proud of their ownership of this company. No need to shop around.
I am advisor recommended a company that was fraudulent and they have done nothing to protect anybody from this fraudulent company. Home advisor is a scam and they do not care about the consumers they are all about making money for themselves by these deceitful companies that cannot get business otherwise do not use home advisor unless you want to be ripped off
Tip for consumers:
Do not trust home advisor as they are not a good company

The Companies that they advertise have not been checked out for insurance or licenses. They just take money from anybody who wants to advertise with them and they have no oversight to this fraudulent and criminal companies
Where do I begin. We just had our one acre property cleaned, top soil, seeding, fertilizing and plantings done by John and Jeff of John Conservo Landscaping Company. The work they do is thorough, meticulous, focused on providing us with what we want and need and at the same time considering our budget. They offer options and cost comparisons to help keep costs down. They even go the extra mile taking care of little things which were not discussed to help improve the look of your property. When they are done, you don't even know they were there except for the beautiful work that they do. I give them 10 Stars out of 5. You will find no company better than John Conservo Landscaping.
David Hunsucker founder of The outdoors group did an excellent job explaining their process and addressing our problem with our bats in the attic. We would highly recommend his company to anyone needing help with wildlife issues.
This is an excellent way to find exactly what you need in a timely manner.
Those is a conflict of interest for Angie homeadvisor to promote contractors that do not perform. I learned this the hard way for a contractor that Angie gave 5 stars who was one of the worst contractors I dealt with "Top Pools" in Katy Texas. Its been over a month and still they haven't showed up. We purchased the pool pump and they have it but have not made am appointment that they did not cancel with excuses.
Excuse #1 rain forecast
Excuse # 2 forgot some tools
Evxcikuse # 3 office forgot to schedule
I wouldn't trust Angie homeadvisor ratings for top pool services
Research and use other ratings like sitejabber.com that are more authentic and fair unbiased and look out for the consumer
Tip for consumers:
Angi is unreliable for reviews due to conflict of interest to promote contractors. Use sitejabber.com

None still waiting on Top pools services Katy tx after they received the pump
Went online to Home Advisor app and filled out questionnaire for the job that needed done (less that a minute) and clicked done and immediately received Kyle's power washing service number. Called and set up appointment to come to the house for an estimate the next day. The price was very reasonable so I hired him on the spot. He did a fabulous job, and showed up on time. Home Advisor really came through for me on this job!
Paid by Discover card $215.50 on 6/30/20. Was told by Home Advisor work would be done on 7/10/20 at 10:00. Multi Lakes Handyman Services assured me they could do the work, but not on that date. I've texted, given the benefit of the doubt, have been told he'd call, hadn't forgotten me. We'll, I give up. Don't pay in advance to Home Advisor, they are not a responsible business. I'm still in the dark, no working yard light, UGH
Home Advisor are con artists... I signed up and immediately got 3 (leads?) that went nowhere.
No call backs or responses in any way. Stay away!
I cancelled Home Advisor within two business days and they said that a refund would be given in 14-20 days. So far nothing, calling tomorrow. Scammed $400 out of me.
If I explained everything that went wrong with my HomeAdvisor experience this would be a mile long post. They are misleading to say the least. They also charge you without basis and then refuse to refund your money. We were not supposed to be public on their website, yet we received leads (incorrect leads) and then were charged for them. They finally refunded those charges after many conversations and some yelling. THEN I cancelled mHelp Desk... yet I got charged $59.99. I then lost 2 hours out of my life to try and get that money back... only to find out they actually do NOT give refunds. Weird. Because they were able to when it was their Leads... confusing. Confusion. Expensive confusion. That's how I would accurately describe this experience. We are a small business that just lost money with this company. Run. Run fast.
" Most of the leads were not legitimate. Made actual contact with less than 20% of the leads... even when calling back within seconds, making multiple calls, sending texts and sending emails. On some callbacks, the numbers never even rang, 3 beeps and a disconnect. They will also renew your membership automatically, without notification, and refuse refunds. There is a class action lawsuit pending against the company.
I am over all very satisfied with Home Advisor. My husband is a General contractor and we own a remodeling business. He had back surgery around 4 months ago. We were down to starting our last job. I was scared to say the least. Long story short... He is released back to full active duty and we are as busy as we were before his back problems. I thank Home Advisor for rapid results and enough good leads to get us going strong again. The only thing I didn't care for is quite a few leads came in that were not a complete remodel or had painting cabinets and things of that nature, which we don't do small jobs like that. You can request a credit but only a certain amount. Then you will be refused. With that being said... I spent somewhere around $1500 for leads and sold somewhere around $100K in remodel jobs. So for that I am blessed and very grateful.
Home Advisor is one of those sites where you click on it and right away it starts asking for more and more info, email, phone number, where do you live, etc, and that can make you hesitate or pull out of the web site. If you follow thru entering the data, you almost immediately start getting emails and phone calls about your project. Bottom line however, I've used the site a number of times for both association projects at our condo and for our own personal project needs and I have to tell you, we've been lined up with some really good professionals.
Best part (aside from top quality work) was being able to speak directly to Tim. He called within an hour of our contact with HomeAdvisor. My description of the project was enough for him to tell me he could do the job that day, since he would be in the area and it shouldn't take very long. He was even able to arrive earlier than he planned and finished the tasks (4) in about an hour and charged per task, which was significantly lower that two other quotes we had gotten—one online and another at a home supply store. We showed Tim two other projects for which he gave us good estimates and we'll plan on using him again for those.
I was excited to find an organization that would help take the pain out of finding contractors. I booked window cleaning and provided a ton of information on storms, number of windows, how many storeys the house is, etc. They charged my card immediately. Apparently booked someone - who never showed up. I spend ages on hold and trying to find the right number to ask why. Got no answer, but they booked someone else. Who showed up 4 hours late and then said she couldn't do the job, and left. At least they refunded me. But they sat on $300+ for 3 weeks without providing a service. Will never use them again.
I am a general contractor who has plenty of business through reputation and referrals, so you can imagine I turned down Home advisors calls for the last 3 years. Finally after them calling me every month for that long I finally gave in on 4/13/20. The rep never explained to me that I would be charged for leads even if I didnt accept or call. I literally signed up and haven't called or even messed around with the app too much and just discovered I ha e been charged for over $600 in 3 weeks. After hours of fighting with them there is no refund in sight. Worst of all they were all leads for Design, which I dont do and never asked for... I'm In remodel, not a freaking designer... RUN RUN
I got matched with a highly qualified professional. I would suggest that when choices are given of what you need there should be a "write in option".
Enough times the project i have is not
Iisted (as well in requests for reviews).
Otherwise a very good experience
We want to give a five-star rating to Jeff Heath for repairing our hardwood floor. Because of a leak in the wall, workmen previously had removed a 5'x7' section of wood flooring. Jeff responded promptly to my contact through Agi/Home Advisor and came promptly as planned. The boards we had left over from the original project were within 1 sq. Foot of being enough. Then he volunteered to secure the proper baseboard for us and installed it the next week for which we happily paid him extra. The job looks terrific. He came each time promptly on schedule, was helpful and competent. We will call him again if we need another floor job.
Used Home Advisor/Angie's list for my roofing project. It is confusing how it works. I wanted to initiate all the calls but I very quickly had contractors calling me. I would first like to review ratings and pick and choose who starts calling me. Although AL and HA seem very separate, they were completely linked together. Confusing.
I ended up with a quality contractor that I wouldn't have selected, so the process worked out great in the end.
If I could give no stars, I would. I'm a Contractor, and this is the worse company I've ever did business with! First of all, they renewed my annual membership without my approval and took the money directly out of my account creating budgeting problems, so I call and speak to a guy named Rocky that told me once the money has been taken out, you can't get a refund. I disputed with him for a few minutes, then asked him how could he even sleep at night knowing that they are taking Contractors money and nickle and diming people. He said he slept quite well every night. Secondly, they have sent me mostly phony leads which they also charge you a lot of money for, even if the customer doesn't answer the phone or ever call you back. They will not refund you but tell you they can only credit your account with another lead supposedly which is phony in most cases. Take my advise! Stay clear away! A law suit is in the making!
A customer care adviser hung up on me and then stated in their notes that I had disconnected the line when I was waiting for accounts receivable's phone number. In addition, when I decided to chat online I was told it would take 8 business days for a supervisor to call me. I was put on hold for over 1 hour. I would not recommend home adviser for any home professional services provider and the leads that they provide are not always legit. When you do want to suspend your account they will do so for a max of 3 months at a time and I've had several occasions where they "forgot" to freeze my account. When I did cancel my account all my credits were cancelled on the account and I was told to pay the full balance. Simply put, a business that strong arms you to stick with them or you will pay.
I joined home advisor several months ago, didn't take long to see that I had been scammed, bogus leads, all dead ends. Asked for my money back, they refused. My credit card company credited my account, now I am being threatened with collections if I don't pay!
I have tried Home Advisor a couple times thinking it would be easier for potential clients to find us. This last time I thought maybe because they had acquired Angies List things would run better. Well the first leads I got were just people browsing they really did not or ready to look for a cleaning company. So I called them back up and said you have not improved, they gave me my leads for free if I'd stay. Well today was it, when I called one lead and the lady told me the person home advisor said inquired was dead. They would not refund any of my yearly fee as a good customer service company would. So if you are looking for help finding customers just find a way to get your name out there on your own, because Home Advisor is not worth the cost or the effort and will screw you every time.
HA will charge you for leads that are non-existent. We received a lead, called it. The person on the number given had no idea what we were talking about. Requested a credit from HA and it was declined. No reason for the declination was provided, just long winded explanation about how the money spent with HA should be looked at as a total marketing budget. From the comments here; its only a matter of time before HA is facing a Class Action Lawsuit. I'm glad I'm not an investor. Revenue and profits aren't real.
I received several potential contacts within just a few moments. What would have been for me a monumental, back-breaking project, was 15 minutes' work for someone with the right equipment and knowledge. I couldn't be happier.
