This was a significant investment for us, but one that was competitively offered. Mike and his crew were prompt, efficient, thorough, and completed the work in two days. The crew left our pool and surrounding landscape in good condition. I would recommend Desert Mesa Pools services to anyone needing pool deck repair.
Angi's leads has been hands down THE WORST lead service that I have ever used. Do not, I repeat, do not use their services. It's a complete rip off. They will send you a "lead" and charge you no matter what comes from it.Even if the lead is bogus. They sent me a lead where the number was disconnected, asked them for a a refund on the bad lead and no, the refund was denied. Sent me another with the wrong number, doesn't matter, still charged me $189 for the lead with no refund. I also found out that they will send you and 2-3 other people the same lead and charge everyone for the lead no matter what. It's a scam. I called and asked to speak to a supervisor, and even the supervisors were like Yep we send you the number and you can charge to matter what. Doesn't even matter if they don't call you back. Angi makes money by ripping off hard working people. So surprised that they are still in business. I would give zero stars if they allowed me to..
I wish home advisor checked their clients as ones like "all superior" are worthless. They offered a bid that was extremely high compared to others received. It would seem that this firm was not interested in doing a small job as the weather had obviously done damage in the area and they wanted only the big ones. I would have acceped a " no bid" as a proper response to my issue. Why are your, home advisor, so low. Don't you care?
This was my first experience using Home Advisor. I made a booking through the app with a vendor that was recommended, the work was done, I paid through the app, all was good. Then a second vendor I didn't know and had never spoken to showed up at my house to do the work that I had already had completed. I was charged for this, even though I had ZERO indication through emails, the app, or otherwise that I had booked this person. Absolutely no confirmation or evidence that this booking was made on my end. I disputed the booking with them and they just kept repeating to me that the booking was confirmed on their end. I only got a refund after hours on the phone escalating the issue. And at the end of it, I didn't get the sense that they would treat subsequent customers better if this happens again. From what I've read, I've seen a couple other reviews that sound like this is not a one-time issue.
I am grateful to HomeAdvisor for recommending Rising Phoenix. I don't think I would have ever heard of the company without the suggestions provided. I no sooner had submitted my request than 15 minutes later Rising Phoenix responded. I am so pleased with the work that was done. I appreciate everything the owner did to make this a pleasant experience. And the work done was phenomenal.
Tag Drywall repaired a partially collapsed plaster ceiling in my kitchen. They were punctual, friendly, and ever so effective. As they progressed in their work, they left my kitchen clean and usable every evening. I appreciated that. Also the owner, Tory, was always available for a concern or update. Most importantly, they left me with a ceiling that looked like new--all of this at a fair price. I would definitely use them again and recommend them highly.
It took a while for home advisor employees to stop contacting me after my job was complete. They kept wanting to send their own people out to do the job, even after I was done. Google companies in your area, and if they have quote forms, make sure you read the fine print to make sure you are not signing up for a home advisor quote.
I recently had a modular home repainted on the outside at the Lakes of Melbourne Fl Community. By M&K Custom Painting and I was amazed! At the professional work they did. The home looked brand new! The husband and wife team was so pleasant to work with! They are very friendly, knowledgeable and fantastic painters! They gave me a fair price and did a great job! Highly recommended!
Steve was highly professional, stayed in contact with me regarding the estimate process Steve has a wonderful personality, very friendly and funny. Answered all my questions, even when I flubbed up and we laughed about them. I enjoyed working with him very much.
As a business owner for over 10 years i would with branches in 3 states i suggest not wasting time or money on homeadvisor scam which is that you pay so much and will get next to nothing and they even send you leads to customers that do not know there info is being sold and d not want anything to do with companies calling that way. Home advisor is the worst and angies list has just gone down hill for a few years now you pay more and get less and less. Run away from home advisor
Guy Zengle, Wonderful work wall papering our bathroom. A very neat job. Did a great job wallpapering, and cleaned everything before he was finished. We will have him come back to do some major painting in our home. We give him five ******.
I used the home advisor app to search a company to build a disability ramp onto the front of my home. They called to let me know of three companies. I chose Allied Restoration. I was pleased from the beginning. The price was right and the salesman (Kyle) didn't have or try to pressure me into a contract. I was informed of tentative start and finished date. Carpenters showed on time and worked non stop to completion. I was happy. When I used the ramp the first few times I found the bottom half to be too steep an incline and was difficult to maneuver. I called Kyle. He responded with a quickness. He came back to investigate, we also discussed adding more rails. I was satisfied when he left. We continued to communicate and within a little over a week the problem was solved and I have a safe way to enter and leave my house. Yes I'd use home advisor and allied restoration again and recommend them to my friends and family
I could go on and on but just don't use them. They will not let you talk to any supervisor or manager, nobody answers the phones when you have a problem, no compensation for contractors that fail to show up, and they simply don't care. I have it all in email from them and still no call or ability to talk to a manager after 4 direct requests.
This service is a scam... they lied during signup and I got charged over $500 in leads that I didn't want. And they do not offer ANY refunds... only internal credits for future jobs.
Just cancelled my service after only 28 days... and it took over 45 minutes to cancel through 3 people trying to keep me there. I even need to change my credit card in order to stop the charges from recurring.
SCAM SCAM SCAM
I have used Home Advisor several times. In each case, despite giving hardly any information to them, they gave me a ridiculously high quote. By that I mean several times what anybody would have expected to pay. I declined service. Within just a couple of days, I was contacted by a local vendor and was very happy with the service. I ended up dealing directly with them. Obviously (to me) Home Advisor gives a super high quote, contacts a vendor, then pays them a fraction of what the customer ended up paying. I am glad that vendors are able to see who contacted Home Advisor, then deal directly with the customer for a whole lot less money. (And the vendor was well paid)
On the evening of requesting installation of fixtures in our home, we had an appointment for the project within days of the initial contact with highly rated electrical provider and a licensed electrician.
I am a 90 year old woman who, until this year, have always done my own yard work. This year my walking has become so limited I felt I needed help with spring cleanup of my yard. I contacted Home Advisor hoping to get several possibilities for me to contact. All communication is on line. I was contacted on line with the request that I choose an "appointment time". I assumed this was an appointment to come to my home to see what I needed done and if I wanted to proceed with some very simple leaf blowing for part of my yard. The charge would be $124.48. I chose a time, but later decided to try to find a cheaper bid. I emailed Home Advisor to cancel. Today my bank statement reveals I was already charged. I contacted H. A. for a refund and was told it would be refunded in 3 to 5 days. Strange that the charge could go through in minutes but the refund would take several days. Terrible way to do business!
Garage door opener was not functioning correctly. After putting in request at Home Advisor, I got two calls within minutes. I hired Balanced Garage Door. The came out the next day and repaired the issue. It was done at a fair price and a great value. I will use Balanced Garage Door for any future issues and will recommend to my neighbors and friends.
I always go to Home Advisor for all of my household projects.
This was my first time using Home Advisor. I was able to find multiple providers in a short amount of time. All the places I contacted made contact within 1 business day. The provider I chose was very good and I was able to use the ratings provided to make my decision.

HVAC cleaning service
When contacted an appointment was made thru Homeadvisor with another contractor who never showed up. Homeadvisor called after I wrote on website my annoyance as waiting for someone to keep an appointment. On that call they directly put me in contact on the phone with a second contractor and left a voice message with them. They NEVER returned that call or a follow up call. Homeadvisor later gave me 3rd name and number who made an appointment that day, showed up, was hired and did the work. 2 out of 3 unreliable business not a good thing. They should vet their people better.
Home Advisor has numerous contractors who are predetermined as qualified providers of workmanship.
Inventory may be brought to the project site that will be adequate for the completion of the project. This
Provides an expeditious and price competitive offering and decreases any cause for delay in the project
And the result is a potential reduction in expense.
Email communications that keeps Home Advisor in mind.
This is the first time I've used Home Advisor. We didn't know who to call that was trustworthy to repair our water softener. I called a couple of places BEFORE coming to Home Advisor. The prices I was quoted were outrageous. That's when I found Angie's List and Home Advisor.
I filled out the website information and within an hour I had two calls for the repair. I am so grateful Home Advisor was there to help. This is a much needed website. I will choose it again the next time I need another service.
If you are ready to ' move forward ' on a project within your home, source a vendor yourself. Ask friends for recommendations, they are usually the best. I was ready to have a retaining wall installed weeks ago and today had to cancel my ' Home Advisor ' account due to the fact vendors ( only 2 were recommended) were quoting too high or they were a
No show' from a scheduled appointment. From the beginning of this process to today was February 25th 2020. If you do your ' homework' educating yourself from the wealth of information on the internet you can save yourself a lot of time and aggravation. My advice, source a locally family owned and operated business.
Years ago, I used Home Advisor looking for a contractor. What I dislike about the website is I had to enter my information first then my phone rang off the hook. I did it the first time because I really needed a roofer. How does this site work anyway? I'm looking for a reputable contractor but don't want to enter my information, Do the businesses have to pay if you use their services?
After getting referrals from local friends, we decided to expand the options through HomeAdvisor.
We found what we were looking for through them.
Sadly, we still have someone calling regularly with a St Louis phone #. Looks like a robocall to set an appointment. The job is already done, and we are very satisfied.
Booked a handyman last week, no one showed up. They made me call the contractor to see why. Of course he didn't answer. Rebooked it for today, no one shows up again. There is no customer service at all, they just say sorry and offer to book it again. Never, ever use home Advisor!
Tip for consumers:
Don't use Home Advisor!!!!
I have not use home advisor before. I was concerned there would be a fee involved and usually use word of mouth to find contractors. I was called promptly by the contractor, he came out and gave me a quote within a few days and got the job done quickly and professionally.
