Wanted to get my kitchen cabinets stripped & retained. Got two phone calls from painting companies. First company came out, measured and then went back to office to prepare a bid. The next day company called to ask if they could send another person out to take more measurements. Never heard another word. Second company I hired did not include the price of replacing hinges (I was too stupid I guess to realize that would be a separate job), workmanship was mediocre (I have a lot of re-staining to do) and when I contacted them to report the cabinet doors had shifted and were mis-aligned they never showed up. Very unprofessional (both companies) and I should have been suspicious when I went out on Home Advisor and saw nothing below a 4.5 in every review (for different companies and different projects)!

This company provides fantasy leads that don't exist. Phone numbers provided are not answered and calls not returned. I signed up and quit within three weeks after receiving NO credible leads but they attempted to charge me over $600.00 for nothing! I am disputing these charges on my credit card and the representative for my bank indicated that they had numerous complaints about HomeAdvisor and their business practice. STAY AWAY this is a scam.

HA provided contact with needed help. We were able to get estimates from a few companies and selected the absolute best- I don't know if we would have found the right company for us otherwise. The reviews helped tremendously.

Several jobs in preparing to sell out home, power washing, sprinkler system, pavers. They provided multiple professionals to work with, got some estimates and selected a contractor. The contractor did an excellent job.

I'm a top rated Contractor in my city because I care about my customers but this company only cares about the $$$ so I must warn all of you out there, if you plan on using this company be prepared to receive 1 good lead (@ $80-$120 per lead) for every 5 leads sent to you and then remember you also have to bid against competitors, so you roughly spend $500 for 1 lead that may not pan out, bottom line is the "Juice isn't worth the squeeze". Also their customer service reps are somewhat robotic and you can easily detect an underhanded tone over the phone, a complete lack of sincerity. Until Homeadvisor changes their policies, lead generator and ethics I urge you to consider this review as a strong warning to stray away.

Mick contacted me the next day after posting my request. He came out to my house the following morning and explained what he could do for and give me a price up after taking some measure and discussing the project. Two days later he E-mailed design concepts. He is very knowledgeable about the latest construction techniques. Gave me a couple of good designs and discuss cost as well.he visited four time. The whole process from first meeting to final drawing was a month, very responsive and easy to work with. I highly recommend him for any remodeling big or small

I just paid $284+ to have a 4 bedroom 3 bath house cleaned in Edmond, ok as a gift. It was the most pitiful job and she stayed less than 3 hours. No dusting no showers or mirrors cleaned. One large rug in den not vacuumed still had pet hair on it. Kitchen counters were left with residue on them. The comment was I believe I did everything! Well I will never ever use this service again!

I contacted HomeAdvisor at their website. They provided me with the names of three Locksmith businesses, their contact information and review ratings. It was then easy to decide which company to call and arrange for replacing my mailbox lock

I've always seen the commercials about HomeAdvisor but never considered using it. That is until Hurricane Zeta. Find quality craftsmen using Google was not working. I would call and never get called back, or be quoted a 4 week turnaround. I tried HomeAdvisor and two major issues I had been having were resolved within a week's time. Thank you for allowing smaller companies who need the world connect with consumers who need the work done.

Terrible customer service. The contractors all seem to be lower quality/poor reputation outside of their own review system. Try to leave feedback and they make you jump through so many hoops if it is a negative review that I assume most people just give up leaving just the positive reviews. With that kind of system its no wonder everyone looks great but when they mess up your home good luck getting them to let your negative review go on their website.

Sitting at computer looking for an irrigation specialist, no more than 2 minutes went by and the phone rang with Levi on the other end. Despite having to come all the way from the west Valley, he was here on time (in fact, a little early!) and did a great job. Very nice, polite and courteous young man.

I was able to contact a reputable, previously reviewed Home Inspector in my area. Communicate with him, schedule the appointment, receive results and pay for services, all without being inconvenienced by travel, missing hours at work, meeting and waiting, etc. Everything is convenient and at my fingertips. HomeAdvisor is a very good site/program.

Consumers! Beware! This is a full scam company! They will charge you for services they can't provide. They made me drive 4 hrs to supposedly meet another contractor of their ( because first one couldn't fix the plumbing issue I had) only two cancel few hrs before the scheduled time. Not only that but they scheduled a second time which also did not happen as no one showed up as they claimed it would! Don't trust these scammers. They will gladly charge your card and good luck finding solution to your project then!

For the first few days they will promise you the world. After that your on your own and the leads we are receiving are never quality, if they even ever call us back. Also receiving credit is difficult. My original contact person, which said it was the greatest since sliced bread, and he would could reach him any time. Well 3 months in I can't reach him or anyone else.

We started dealing with these crooks on 4-11-18 and tried to cancel membership after them taking 572.00 out of my account within 2 weeks which was 4-26-18. This company gives false leads and then charges 32.00 for that fake lead! They won't respond to your calls and keep taking from my account even though we cancelled them, I had to go in and close out my account and start another one so the deductions would stop! Which messed up my checking account severely! This company needs a class action law suit put against them to shut them down now! Anyone interested? Let's put these scumbags out of business and get all the money back to honest business owners that are owed!

Filled out a "form", and within minutes, I was contacted by the perfect person to fix my dryer! We communicated via internet, and made an appointment. What a relief to find someone here, rather than on Craigslist! Seriously!

The first party that contacted me hector was contractor I hired. His experience and price were spot on. He looked at my project on Tuesday and started work on Wednesday at 9 am completed it 339 pm with the three workers. Everything was cleaned up and not s piece of scrap

Angie's provided several options quickly! It was great to know the contractors were vetted thru Angie's list. I will use this service to help me find the right person or company for all my projects. I especially appreciate not being inundated by many contractors, only a few viable prospects which served me well.

I was contacted quickly and given a couple providers, they even checked back to see if I chose someone for my job. Workers are awesome, as well as being licensed which is also gives a sense of comfort.

After finding HomeAdvisor online, we were connected with Affinity Appliance Service. John of Affinity scheduled our work quickly, solved our problem easily, and charged a reasonable price. We'll definitely call again.

Forcing "leads" on you and charging your credit card on a recorded line. If they are recording you should hang up.

Giving me a list of my competitors is not appreciated, I know who they are. Giving me leads in 30 story apartments is not useful, I need property owners. Couldn't refund because older then 30 days.

Seems like elderly, lonely people looking to talk to someone. Most don't remember contacting home adviser. Might as well be a cold call.

Bobby and his team were Top Notch! Punctual, courteous, and efficient. Worked quickly, despite two flights of stairs, and took the time to ensure all furniture was wrapped to prevent damage. I had several antique pieces that I was concerned about but everything was delivered without a scratch. They even returned, off the clock, to my former apartment to pick up a very large plant that I didn't think would make the move. Pricing was competitive and their estimate was accurate.
