This was a significant investment for us, but one that was competitively offered. Mike and his crew were prompt, efficient, thorough, and completed the work in two days. The crew left our pool and surrounding landscape in good condition. I would recommend Desert Mesa Pools services to anyone needing pool deck repair.
Angi's leads has been hands down THE WORST lead service that I have ever used. Do not, I repeat, do not use their services. It's a complete rip off. They will send you a "lead" and charge you no matter what comes from it.Even if the lead is bogus. They sent me a lead where the number was disconnected, asked them for a a refund on the bad lead and no, the refund was denied. Sent me another with the wrong number, doesn't matter, still charged me $189 for the lead with no refund. I also found out that they will send you and 2-3 other people the same lead and charge everyone for the lead no matter what. It's a scam. I called and asked to speak to a supervisor, and even the supervisors were like Yep we send you the number and you can charge to matter what. Doesn't even matter if they don't call you back. Angi makes money by ripping off hard working people. So surprised that they are still in business. I would give zero stars if they allowed me to..
Are project was contracted to another company that has the worst customer service so when the man who was suppose to do the project showed up 30 minutes late and then didn't have the right tools we offered are own tools which where left a complete mess. What made it worse is that the job was not finished when they left. I would never recommend this service to anyone we paid way to much for an absolutely horrible job!
Booked a moving out clean two weeks in advance. They cancelled on the day, but promised to come on Monday (so I didn't book anything else). Then they didn't come on Monday either and now it is too late.
They are not reliable!
Tip for consumers:
Perhaps they are good at other things, but they seem to be unable to procure contractors in my area.
Keep in mind that I've become entirely frustrated by their BS. As a consumer you should know that they charge the contractor for each referral sent regardless of outcome. The scenario I've experienced again and again is they send referrals during the weekend which is way outside of my posted hours of operation and still collect a substantial fee upwards of $15 each. They've also collected fees for other contractors for the very same referral! This is after the initial fee of $347.98 to join with promises of qualified leads galore. Their explanation to me is that is my fault for pausing my leads just before the weekend, that made the leads turn on automatically 2 days later on Sunday.
I smell a class action suit coming. Shame on what was the very reputable Angie's List, for selling out to this Racket.
You get charged for leads you don't get... they put your personal information on google search, they won't give credit back for jobs you didn't do and they just SUCK. Before you know it you owe hundreds of dollars in leads, and it racks up quick. Basically every call you get is $30 bucks down the drain weather you land the job or not... Do yourself a favor and stay away from Home Advisor because it's a $#*!ing joke!
Home Advisor is great to help a new business get their name out there. We won some of the leads we received and met some really great customers. However, they give a disgruntled customer the ability to leave a review even if you didn't do any work for them. The call their contractors "valued" but yet, they do nothing to assist the contractor. Anyone can do onto your Home Advisor page and leave an unverified review. And the only option the contractor has is to respond. Would be nice if these valued contractors could rate the customers!
This company is a rip off from start to finish. They charge you a fee to even start the program. Then charge you every time they send a "lead" regardless of if the lead answers the phone, is just shopping around or already books a contractor before you have even called. A complete and utter waste of money. You are better off making flyers and putting them on mail boxes. Do not fall for their scam like I did!
I recently had my bathroom redone by Eddie Mac's Home Improvement, LLC. It was completely gutted down to the studs and the floor fixed due to a leak. It was then totally transformed. New plumbing, electrical wiring and all new fixtures. Eddie added a few little extras to the tile work and even scraped and repainted my floor grate to blend with the floor tiles. He texted me often to keep me updated with the progress, often including pictures. He answered any questions or concerns I had and never made me feel like I was bothering him. It came out beautifully and I am quite pleased. I would definitely use his company again.
I have been a user for many years but find the "new and improved menu driven choices" do not always fit my needs. I would like more opportunity to fine tune my request and hone in on a best provider. Service Pros that we have gotten have all been good at what they do, but I find the ongoing calls and emails from Home Advisor are annoying in the midst of what is already a problem. I would prefer to have a contact that I can call if I need more help and a way to turn off the follow ups when I do not.
Ability to read reviews
Chris Kelso of Prestige concrete was very punctual and his company did a great job planning our new patio. Very friendly and cleaned up when the job was completed. Giving the team 5 stars and do recommend then. Very satisfied customer. Thank you Mr. Kelso. 2/1/21
Still have no show/no call back vendors and since I didn't hire them I can't submit a review. The fixed pay option is useless if they don't look at the problem first. I found two of ten companies I liked and hired. You must have them look at a project and get quote before trusting phone estimates. Things are not always like it sounds over the phone
We are a smaller family owned company and they are miserable to deal with if you are not able to babysit them charging you. If I had been able to monitor every single charge made on our five cards attached to our CC's then I would have noticed that we had been charged inappropriately over $500 the past three months. I just assumed they would be doing what is right by the contractor. The app they have does not allow you to cancel your account, and when it comes to trying to get them on the phone as a contractor... GOOD LUCK! Been holding almost 30 minutes and still havent been able to speak with anyone.
Customers looking for professionals do not understand, when you put in a home advisor request it is sent to 3 or so contractors (that home advisor is charging now 30+ dollars per contractor). The contractor is under HUGE pressure to be constantly attached to his phone and answering leas instead of actually focusing on his product.
Signed up and from that moment on it was nothing but lies after lies! They could even define the type of work I do as I did not have the proper license? So they randomly threw me in a different field! I would stay far away from these ppl or scam artists as I would call them, and did not give them your credit card number whatsoever!
It's a RIP-off. They are tough to reach by phone, probably by design. The leads are below average. One in 5 is a serious inquiry. The rest are price shoppers who don't realize that they are costing the contractors (like me) money... or are just trying to find out how much to pay their neighbor or family member to complete the project. Home Advisor claims to help you build an online brand, but they are really trying to boost their own brand on the backs of hard working small businesses... and if you leave them... all those reviews you worked so hard to get... belong to them. So, as a contractor, think hard before you jump on with Home Advisor. As a shopper, consider finding local contractors by scrolling down a few links on your search. Finding your local contractor without using Home Advisor will save them some money and it will likely be reflected in a lower price point because the contractor won't have to pay to call you.
I contacted HA for a tripped electrical circuit breaker and hired somebody else.
HA called to follow up and asked if I had any other projects. There is a short retaining wall on my property that started to lean do to the wood posts rotting out. HA recommend Prodigy who submitted a price and completed the work. They did an excellent job and I would recommend them.
The worst service you can ever get! No one showed up to plow the snow. They lied and said they came, but the cameras did not capture them. It was a no show right before another storm. Do not rely on this service if you actually need something done.
Wallet raping owners of service industry companies. Lead fees are so high you can't make any money. You only win 30% of your leads received. If they are creditable leads. Home Advisor is the worst about crediting leads fees for bogus or bad contact leads. Great idea, poor management.
Excellent and had several to choose from. Everything went well. He went above and beyond to accommodate when the hot tub was delayed 8 weeks. He stayed in touch and did a fantastic job. Hired him for more wiring and fan installation in attic. Highly recommend! Thanks home advisor.
Mr Green of Appliance Guru called immediately after I signed up for assistance and came out right away to review the job. He gave me the cost and day of return. He provided excellent customer service. I will definitely call upon him again and I highly recommend his services.
Iv been charged multiple fees for leads that I talked to for 30 seconds resulting in no business as they say the price is to much switch is cool, but there needs to be a party from homeadvisor that talks to these people and find out what they need and price they are willing to pay before making the contractor pay for the leads. I have paused my account with homeadvisor for the fact it seems they will send you any lead just to be getting money from you without even talking to lead. Again I am highly disappointed and would recommend anyone looking for more business to create you a website on your own and pay for a little radio time and small promotions in restaurants and other local hardware stores. Homeadvisor you suck that's all.
John Driscoll is extremely professional. He always let me know exactly when he would come. He finished replacing the glass on my window within the same day as he promised and even showed me some extra tips to keep the window functioning better. John is nice, kind and friendly. He is certainly trustworthy and I will definitely hire him again if I have another window related issue in the future. I highly recommend Window MD for the professionalism, quality of work and the good price.
Within minutes I had several painting companies ready to bid on my project. Finding these skilled professionals made my life so much easier and I trust the website to only recommend accredited workman. I was not disappointed.
Home advisor really makes finding a contractor a good experience. I have used more than once and have had positive results and am provided with professionals that get the work done on time, correct and within budget.
My house's central air conditioning system had stopped working. Called Joe Cool, They arrived at appointed time and date, got to work promptly and replaced the old system with a new one. They did very good work.
Found online after searching for air conditioning repair.
Looking for gutter cleaning and found them on the site. I had calls from leaf filter representatives but they do not do cleaning without installing their product. Probably do not need to be listed under "gutter cleaning".
They charge you an annual subscription to maintain your account and keep your listing, additionally they have two different billing schemes one for exact market match which they sale as a direct lead where they advertise a company as one of the best when in reality they are not, they feature companies with only one or two verified reviews when they have other providers with numerous positive ones which never appear. The same company the owns home advisor also owns Angie's List which double deeps, if you subscribe for a lead on Angie's List it will also push a request on Homeadvisor charging the contractor on both sites. Their leads are also incredibly expensive and range between $25 - $40 per lead.
