This was a significant investment for us, but one that was competitively offered. Mike and his crew were prompt, efficient, thorough, and completed the work in two days. The crew left our pool and surrounding landscape in good condition. I would recommend Desert Mesa Pools services to anyone needing pool deck repair.
Angi's leads has been hands down THE WORST lead service that I have ever used. Do not, I repeat, do not use their services. It's a complete rip off. They will send you a "lead" and charge you no matter what comes from it.Even if the lead is bogus. They sent me a lead where the number was disconnected, asked them for a a refund on the bad lead and no, the refund was denied. Sent me another with the wrong number, doesn't matter, still charged me $189 for the lead with no refund. I also found out that they will send you and 2-3 other people the same lead and charge everyone for the lead no matter what. It's a scam. I called and asked to speak to a supervisor, and even the supervisors were like Yep we send you the number and you can charge to matter what. Doesn't even matter if they don't call you back. Angi makes money by ripping off hard working people. So surprised that they are still in business. I would give zero stars if they allowed me to..
If you need an Electrician, I strongly suggest you get in touch with Krueger Electric. He is located in Queensbury, NY. Jonathan was very prompt and did not take even one break! He fixed my Casablanca ceiling fan in just minutes, while others suggested I just throw the fan away! In less than five hours, he fixed that fan; installed an on/off boiler switch; installed light for the garage attic; installed light switch for basement. Very friendly; kept it neat; very professional.
Just sod was recommended to me to replace my lawn. They did a terrible job and left the biggest mess on my street you would ever see. They charged me for 2000 square feet. When i measured it later i came up with 1700 square feet. If you want to ripped off call home advisor.
I dont know why a company like this could stay in business they give fake leads then charge you when you dont even respond to them if any lawyers are reading this there should be a class action lawsuit against them
Quick response. Immediate email followed by phone call. Consistent follow up. Good list of candidates were provided. Candidates all contacted me either br email, phone call or both. I felt like I had numerous qualified contractors to choose from. Very Satisfied.
The company people were professional. They actually called and asked if they could come a day early which was agreeable to us. They did the work to our complete satisfaction. In the future we will more than likely use them again.
My husband &I had a similar project done about 5 years ago, but we were very dissatisfied with the work. The plumber was one we hired through Angie, but he installed the faucet backwards (hot & cold) and left us with terrible water pressure. Michael installed the new faucet perfectly and was able to take care of the water pressure. I would definitely use him again.
I am a contractor and they just will not leave me alone I know this company is a scam and any home owner with the ability to connect with Home Advisor can find local contractors on their own. I tell them I am not interested and stop calling me they stop for a month or two then start up again. They bombard my email with so called potential leads people who are looking for the Cheapest contractor regardless of ability I am not that contractor.
So contractors and trades stay away from this scam.
Surprised how quickly it worked in about 4 hours I had my 5 bids set up for appointments for the next week, and this was on a Sunday. Chose the contractor the following Friday they did the install 1 week later.
Derek did an absolutely great job in his welding services for my project. His high level of both customer service and quality work far exceeded my expectations. He paid very close attention to detail, and made sure that I was happy with the services performed. I could not have asked for more from him. I would recommend Derek to anyone who is in need of welding services. Thank you for a great job.
Small business owners beware of HomeAdvisor.
This firm is a scam. The contractor pays for leads that the client either doesn't exist or fails to respond to the return a call. There customer service is a joke, not open during weekends. Try to find a person in corporate to discuss your issues with is almost impossible. The company has been sued because they treat their contractors terribly. The company is owned by the same folks that own Angie's list, so they pass leads to HomeAdvisor that the Angie's list gets first crack at, then they distribute the same lead to 4 different contractors.
I am thinking about finding an attorney or taking them to court locally. They have already lost a class action suit and if there is an attorney that would like to take this on I would be delighted to speak with them.
Do not waste your time because you will have fixed price for the job. My order was to paint my Apartment and they said it will cost you 2 days = 16 hours so it little over $850. However if pro need to come back he will have to charge you more.
Also be very specific about job details, also they cancelled and never showed up 3 times. It is total waste of time and energy. Garbage
Pro could Milking it for 2 more days and I have to pay double... forget it.
This whole process has been stressful and unpleasant. I booked a month ahead of time, and never got confirmation that someone had taken on the job. Even then, that was at the last minute. I have a very narrow window of when this job can be done, so it just added a ton of stress to me. The overall experience was not good.
I own two houses and hired many workers for years. From now on I got the experience of hiring thru Home Advisor. It was incredible help. They supported me 100% and promise myself that ONLY will order jobs recommended by Home Advisor
Went to website for Home Advisor for a small project. I needed for repairs to cabinet that had water damage. I completed questionnaire regarding project and had 3 Pros named that could have interest in project. Was contacted that evening by 1 Pro and spoke to him next day, provided pictures of repair agreed on price and time. Project completed very satisfactory.
Experience with Home Advisor was great they followed up all along the way. And called when project was completed. Saved me a lot of time searching around for someone
So far, in both instances I consulted home Advisor to locate home repair specialists, it has worked out very well. In both instances, the contractor's we hired met & even exceeded our expectations with regard to price, professionalism & precision in executing each project. Home Advisor definitely saved us money, time & stress over finding quality contractors we might not otherwise have found.
We had an initial experience with them that went very well & decided to return for the next project.
Home Advisor provided a 1 stop shop for us to gather potential prospects for the yard work we wanted to have done. I recommend them highly because it was a time saving resource.
There were many contacts very quickly after posting the issue. I replied to all in order of response. Any that were not local or could not accept a return call due to being an out of state call center I excluded.
I went with the most personable and schedule friendly contractor 1st and scheduled 2 others for later. After meeting with my 1st choice I called the others to cancel as the work was completed.
I had a small paint job so I thought I would use their flat price service. The job was a disaster - the painters left an absolute mess, messed up the paint on walls they weren't painting that I have to have them repainted, and damaged my floors. Homeadvisor's response was talk to your insurance company. Unbelievable!
You have no idea who you are getting (clearly they don't vet their contractors well) so do not use!
I contacted home advisor for small handyman projects. They matched me with a pro and gave me assorted days and times available as well as took my credit card information. I chose a date and time that worked but when that day arrived, no one showed.
Called customer service and they told me I was rescheduled for another day and time over a week later. I received no notice or even was consulted to see if the future day and time worked. Poorly communicated. Won't be using Home Advisors again.
If you are proud of what you offer, then DO NOT sign up for these scammers. They will take your social and act like they're the best people ever until you sign up. The moment they have your social security and agreement you're basically done. You'll pay thousands of dollars and no work will come from there. Stay true to your self, be honest and promote ethics! PEACE
Tip for consumers:
SINPLY DO NOT SIGN UP!!

Pay per lead
But experience was good and I was provided several companies as an option for hiring for the job that we needed to have on our property. What's good about this service is that you get to this criteria about a small Job large job a removal or just basic cleanup or heavy duty pruning on larger trees that you can't reach on your own. Not everyone can climb a tree or has equipment when the job gets bigger then they plan for. It's great to be able to go online and get a service to help you narrow down all the possibilities.
Get it done with a confident professional at affordable pocket money. He was on time and ready to work. Quick in and out. Ceiling fan replaced and bathroom sink repaired and upgraded. All was perfect and looks beautiful. He is a keeper I will call for future needs.
I was told I would not be charged for leads unless I won a job. After the initial join fee I was then charged nearly $200 in lead fees! Non refundable. Such B. S. they charge you despite sending the leads to other people as well. Dishonest company.
Worthless company Will steal your money and not refund anything not even sticking to the their own refund policies. Too many customer service reps with a personal opinion which has no business in the business field Just do yourself a favor and find any other way to advertise
I've used HomeAdvisor in the past, and have been generally satisfied with the service, but recently I had a cracked sprinkler head that needed replaced. I was not happy with the results. I got a call, and the woman said they could fix it for $450. I was so offended that I just hung up, and proceeded to look at some DIY videos on replacing a sprinkler head. I was shocked to find out that the part I needed cost $4.50. Long story short, I went to Home Depot and bought the part, and replaced the broken head in less than 10 minutes.
I did get a HomeAdvisor email later stating that a company could do the job starting at $170, which is a lot better than $450, but still, we're talking a 10 minute job, so my advise is to check into DIY first, and at least get some knowledge about what the job entails before jumping into having these companies call you.
My first time to use this service so part of the problem may have been my lack of knowledge and with rainy weather figured in I felt a lot of pressure to get something done. One company had their estimator out to our house within an hour of my signing in, but they never provided a written bid or photos of the job... texted the rep a couple of times but he never followed up or came by again. Several other companies on the list never called or made contact so we ended up with one contact and one bid. The crew of two arrived at 9:30 and left at 3 minus a lunch break and it cost us $3600 which included about 12 tile replacements. Even with the estimators time and office staff's time it seems like a lot of money for the time involved... did a great job!
