This was a significant investment for us, but one that was competitively offered. Mike and his crew were prompt, efficient, thorough, and completed the work in two days. The crew left our pool and surrounding landscape in good condition. I would recommend Desert Mesa Pools services to anyone needing pool deck repair.
Angi's leads has been hands down THE WORST lead service that I have ever used. Do not, I repeat, do not use their services. It's a complete rip off. They will send you a "lead" and charge you no matter what comes from it.Even if the lead is bogus. They sent me a lead where the number was disconnected, asked them for a a refund on the bad lead and no, the refund was denied. Sent me another with the wrong number, doesn't matter, still charged me $189 for the lead with no refund. I also found out that they will send you and 2-3 other people the same lead and charge everyone for the lead no matter what. It's a scam. I called and asked to speak to a supervisor, and even the supervisors were like Yep we send you the number and you can charge to matter what. Doesn't even matter if they don't call you back. Angi makes money by ripping off hard working people. So surprised that they are still in business. I would give zero stars if they allowed me to..
I called to close my account after reading all the bad things they can do (use your name to sell leads, and charging for non closed leads) so I wanted to close my account. They then got mad and started saying how I wont make money, I don't know what I'm talking about, etc. Unprofessional company and these reviews show it!
Most leads are false and they do not give a credit back. I have had leads tell me they did not do anything on HomeAdvisor; their work was done months ago; or there is never a response from lead via phone, text, email. They will only give credit back if number is disconnected AND email is returned. Most of the leads they give now are people who do not even own the home as they are price checking on homes they wish to buy and do work on. Stipulation used to be you had to be the home owner. Terrible company that just steals your hard earned money!
Did the quick survey on home advisor and got an estimate of costs. Thought that was it and I might contact someone later in the week because it was a weekend. Marquez lawn are called me in minutes and came out to do an estimate. They were very friendly and fairly priced. Worked hard and completed the job in 6 hours.
Mr. Scot reached out to me very fast. He was able to give me a quote in a timely manner.
The job only took i day. The fence looks amazing and i am so grateful for him coming to see about me.
I will refer Him to anyone that needs their fence repaired. Thank You. Ruth Murray in savannah ga
I needed to find someone to refinish my mother-in-law's floors in two weeks. I am from our-of-state, so I so I had no prior knowledge about where to start. Using Home Advisor, I had two qualified candidates come to her house and offer quotes within 24 hours. Work started the next week and finished on time. We are thrilled with the result and will use Home Advisor again.
When I entered my project into your site, you had no one to recommend... because I needed to get this done, I called and an agent gave me 3 phone numbers Belmont being one of them, thank goodness. I had all 3 come out to look at the work to be done and had 3 completely different bids in scope and price range, but because I found great reviews of Belmont, I chose him.
Then I was charged ($60) by you for one of the other companies. I called and asked if I was being charged for an estimate. It was taken care of, but definitely doesn't make me feel confident about the company... and no one could tell me why I was getting emails asking for payment.
I did tell Belmont I got his number only because I called and was insistent they must have someone to recommend. I assume he pays for this service and if I were him, I would not be too happy.
Despite hearing a gym buddy had a bad experience with the provider who served her family. I was pleasantly surprised by the warm, welcoming, and laid back attitude. Very easy to work with, personable, yet hardworking and gets the job done. Very happy!
I wanted a service that vetted their contractors. I knew Home Advisor did that. Despite, hearing a friend was displeased with their contractor.
The crew arrived early, were efficient, courteous and thorough completing the job beyond my expectations. In fact I was so impressed By the team's work ethic I plan to hire them for snow removal this winter and laying some sod in the Spring
If you have been lucky enough to have a contractor from Home Advisor contact you... consider yourself fortunate! We have submitted two requests... one was 1 year ago and we are still waiting for someone to contact us to provide a quote. The other was submitted in February. We heard from only ONE contractor who says he only works in the summer months. At this point, even if I heard from anyone, I would be reluctant to use them based on the lag time for responding.
Total incompetence
They sent a non-licensed electrician to install a ceiling fan without a ladder.
He could not install it and never tried, as his ladder did not work. Her drove away.
Now they are trying to charge me for no work done
Very bad company stay away as they quote a low price and cannot do the job.
Additionally, they were extremely rude when trying to resolve the matter.
Stay away from them. They send unqualified handymen who is not licensed to do electrical work.
I looked into Angie and Home Advisor to get suggestions on who locally could redo our backyard with a new large patio. The suggestions were plentiful and the first contractor that was recommended was the one we selected. Very easy and painless process.
I have gone to HomeAdvisor for most of the big jobs around my house. I have used them for several years. Recently, the lack of response from vendors is disappointing. I requested multiple quotes on a tile replacement job that was fairly large. I got 1 response. I have made a request to get roll off quotes and am still waiting for any response. I will still use them, but will have to start looking beyond HomeAdvisor for contractors willing to put in bids on projects.
Home Adviser allows anybody to say anything they want regardless of how vile and slanderous. They do not verify or filter complaints. Our qualifier is also a customer with a separate account and he owes Home Adviser $80 an even though OUR account is paid up, they shut off our leads and refuse to do anything about it. And get this, if they have to go after this other guy and terminate his account, they will terminate ours as well even though we're current on our tab.
I contacted this company to assist me in finding contractor to remove some material from my yard after I tore down an old storage building. The representative on the phone took my information, and told me that someone would contact me the following morning to give me an estimate on the work that I needed done.
NO ONE contacted me the next day. Don't waste your time dealing with these people. Hire a contractor yourself instead of depending on these people to assist you.
My experience was good, no complaints they called the day prior to ensure that the service was still needed. On instillation day the technician arrived as scheduled and completed his job in a timely fashion.
I recently began looking for a job with homeadvisor. I got a call from a sales rep a week ago telling me to sign up. I spent some time talking to her about how it worked and everything. I did not want to sign up but at the end of the call I was charged a membership fee. They had my card info because about a year and a half ago I was also looking for a job with them. They charged me right after the call. I called three times and every time the word refund came up I was hung up on. I am outraged they are still in business. Don't give them any of your info, you will receive spam calls, texts, and unauthorized charges. It is ridiculous.
We had four small home repairs done. The team was prompt, professional, courteous and excellent at doing repairs in a timely manner. We were very pleased with the results and definitely would hire them again.
I was easily able to find someone close to my area for tree removal. Who responded back to me that morning- instead of having to call different landscapers one by one from the telephone book and playing "telephone tag" hoping one of them would all me back. HomeAdvisor shows the ratings and reviews for each business also... and that helped me greatly in making my decision on whom to choose.
The gentleman asked me what was needed quoted me 1400. 00 plus for half the job, ( for which Home Advisor had calculated approximately 500.00 for the whole job) then he charged me 89.00 for showing up and left. I felt used and dirty. If not for Chuck with Your Plumber I would be giving this a single star.
Very bad practice, does not give a receipt of all the work that needs to be done, then will try to collect on a price that was never agreed to and then starts a job and pulls the man off the job after doing more damage then was there originally. I have pictures to prove it!
We needed someone to build a small apartment in our lower level for my elderly parents. We put our information/need on Home Advisors. That very same day I got a call back, had builder come out, talked to him telling him what we needed done. About a week later he gave us a bid and we ended up hiring him. Very pleased with the bid and outcome of our apartment.
I needed assist with demo and removal of a shed in my backyard. I received several fair estimates. The company I hired assessed the project and completed it within 24 hours. Great crew, highly recommend!
I was given several contact numbers for different contractors who never followed through. I was about to go a different direction when someone from Home Advisors called to see who we had used. After explaining that none had worked out, he had another company contact me within the day, with a backup contractor. That made all the difference.
