This was a significant investment for us, but one that was competitively offered. Mike and his crew were prompt, efficient, thorough, and completed the work in two days. The crew left our pool and surrounding landscape in good condition. I would recommend Desert Mesa Pools services to anyone needing pool deck repair.
Angi's leads has been hands down THE WORST lead service that I have ever used. Do not, I repeat, do not use their services. It's a complete rip off. They will send you a "lead" and charge you no matter what comes from it.Even if the lead is bogus. They sent me a lead where the number was disconnected, asked them for a a refund on the bad lead and no, the refund was denied. Sent me another with the wrong number, doesn't matter, still charged me $189 for the lead with no refund. I also found out that they will send you and 2-3 other people the same lead and charge everyone for the lead no matter what. It's a scam. I called and asked to speak to a supervisor, and even the supervisors were like Yep we send you the number and you can charge to matter what. Doesn't even matter if they don't call you back. Angi makes money by ripping off hard working people. So surprised that they are still in business. I would give zero stars if they allowed me to..
Had cracks in my house due to the foundation sinking on one side. Found a vendor through HomeAdvisor. The company was just what I needed. I was so impressed with HomeAdvisor that I used them for another project which also had a positive outcome.
I posted a negative review with a small bathroom remodelling company I hired and homeadvisor.com does not publish my negative review at all. I was basically trapped by it's 5 star reviews. It is just hard to believe all the positive reviews any more.
This service should be criminal! They first tell you that "leads" will only be charged when you have contacted the customer, which is NOT the case. They send you these garbage leads (most of the time the customer never had any intention of getting the work done, just inquired while browsing the web) and then charge you automatically before you have even opened/looked at them. They set it up so you can only pause leads for 2 weeks at a time, and then they turn back on automatically at midnight, with ZERO notification, so if you arent watching your account like a hawk, they will charge you hundreds. Already submitted my complaint to Better Business Bureau.
I had Reliable tree service which Home Advisor had call me and they were great workers did a great job removing huge dead tree and large limbs over carport. They cleaned up every limb. And most of all they came just before Dorian hit.
The initial contacts were helpful. I called a couple but it was beyond their scope. Had one call me (Convenient Water} and they said they were the best... and based on my experience... they were right. They were thorough... efficient... capable... friendly and focused. They completed replacing a submersible pump and all related gear, pressure sw, tank, plumbing, wiring, trenching, all updated to the latest standards, etc. in about 6-7 hours. I got tired watching them...
In one day I had my contractor chosen and the work scheduled immediately. The only negative was that although my requests were for price quotations, several contractors immediately assumed I was ready to hire them. HomeAdvisor needs to make clear that a quote request means exactly that.
Neighbors all used different contractors, so impossible to fairly compare.
Looked for a stormdoor repair service which Home Advisor recommended a handful along with an appointment date but not one made contact and then another contacted me via email after the requested appointment date.
After hurricane damage and the insurance inspector, I contacted home advisor. They gave me a few local contractors but was only contacted by 2. After accepting the bid on one the contractor did some preliminary measuring and checking color, returned within a week, and completed the job.
This was the worst company to ever get involved in. It was a total waste of money. If you are a contractor stay away. Build your business through word of mouth. I was told that once I excepted a lead I would be charged, not the case. In less than three weeks I paid them over 650.00. They wouldn't refund my start up fee because it was over the 3 day period. If you do decide to go with them remember every time your phone rings you are charged. They charge you based on the size of the job, and they can deem that any way they want.

Bill Pierce contacted me promptly and I scheduled an appointment with him for the next day. He arrived on time and did a thorough inspection of my heating and air unit as I requested. My system is in good working order with no issues to address. He then installed my smart thermostat (Ecobee 3 lite). He made sure that everything was working properly and that I knew how to use it and the app on my cell phone. The work was done at the agreed upon price, which was affordable. Mr. Pierce if professional and personable. I will be contacting him with any future heating and air issues.
I needed a new roof for my home.
Was recommended to Alluring Homes Inc.
These guys were the most professional I have ever used for any repairs.
Very honest. The crew was so hard working.
So Impressed. If I could give a 10 star rating, I would.
I requested a licensed electrician through HomeAdvisor and they provided contact info on an unlicensed electrician. This was discovered after a newly installed bathroom
Vent would not operate.
It is unlawful to have electrical work performed by an unlicensed electrician.
HomeAdvisors took no responsibility.

We are very pleased with the work that was done by A1 Experts Construction on our fireplace. Albert Brahaj owner, and his crew, were easy to work with and their workmanship was top notch. His crew is excellent; his cleanup was perfect. 100% would recommend this company...
I requested quotes for screen repair and was promptly contacted by two local contractors who both seemed qualified and reasonable. Hired one and job was quickly completed to my satisfaction.
Meanwhile, I received several phone calls from so called "Angi representatives" who claimed to want to help me find assistance, but who then generally asked uninformed questions, and who typically ended calls abruptly. Daily emails from Angi quoting very high prices were also received. I quickly learned to just ignore the Angi communications and deal directly with the local contractors.
Painted exterior of single family home in Sun Lakes. Spots needed repair and cleaning of surface to provide sound base for color coat. Crew did a great job and owner came to direct minor spots that needed touch. Beautiful job and more than any other contractor did.
The leads must be fake. 90% of the leads had a disconnected phone number, homeowner said they never requested an estimate, etc. So after paying for dozens of these leads I decided to cancel them as they are worthless. It took me calling 3 times to cancel the leads. Every time I would cancel the leads they would turn them back on shortly thereafter and start charging my credit card again... totally unethical!... took me 3 times to finally cancel those leads and blocking them from charging my credit card.
Hi Brandon, We're sorry to hear this. Your leads would only turn back on if the decision was made with you and an account specialist to pause your leads instead of canceling your account. Leads with non-working or incorrect phone numbers are also eligible for credit. We're happy to address any other concerns you have with your old account, please call 877-947-3639 or send info to emailus@homeadvisor.com to speak with a rep. -HASupport
Home Advisor let me enter the job I needed done, and then almost immediately I got calls from contractors. I was able to read reviews, receive estimates, and make decisions as I was led through the process. It helped a lot to have some place to start.
Great was more than expected. Outstanding job. From start to Finish wonderful. Job came out better than expected no words can say what a surprise it was to see the finished product. Was more then expected and as for clean up Outstanding. If the walkway was not there would have never know they were here.
You have to pay for leads even if they are bogus, or if the person already got someone. If you don't put it on pause, they send you about 6-8 leads a day (or more, depending on your specialty and area), charging over 20 dollars per lead, so you spend as much as you make.
These guys are a joke. You can't pause your advertising, they will randomly just decided that you should start again and they'll charge you for leads you don't use or want. In order to cancel, you have to call in and face hold times upward of 1.5 hours. They are the scum of the earth.
Vendor contated me in less than 5 minutes after the website posting to schedule the work. This was on a Friday while a cold storm front was moving in. I had a Dr appointment late morning and the tech scheduled around it and maintained good communication regarding his arrival time. He was on time, very knowledgeable about my specific unit and completed repairs in less than an hour. Fee was very reasonable and all forms of payment were accepted. I asked for business cards for myself and new next door neighbor. He provided magnetic business cards. The tech was professional in appearance and courteous in conversation.
With a few tasks that needed addressing, it wasn't initially clear how to zero in on the type of help I was looking for.it was fast once I figured out a handyman might be the right person for all the tasks. I had to try a few things on the website, but eventually got the email listing three handymen and their review summaries. I was getting ready to send a message to the third one listed, with the highest reviews, when he called me. I found the various offers, including the lump sum pricing for tasks, distracting, bit understand the need for marketing.
HomeAdviser gave me the name of a few companies I could use for my project. They helped set me up with Los Tres Reyes. They came the same day, did an excellent job and I would definitely recommend them.
I have been in business for 15 years. I have dealt with many companies that have not always been run properly or need improvement. But HA is for sure the worst ever. I cancelled my account with them leaving 18 reviews with a 4.74 rating behind me. I was called every day after about being gone for a month asking me to come back. The salesman that day told me everything I wanted to hear. They got me AGAIN. Signed me back up and was told that I now have an account supervisor.
Not the case. Please do yourself a favor. Do not sign up. Unless you have a credit card you dont care about getting a ridiculous charge every week.
Stay away... its not good at all once you sign up
I had new flooring installed in my kitchen, foyer, and a small bath and closet. A section of the quarter round was not stapled into the wall. I was holding it when I called Empire. I have called twice in a week with no response from Empire. It would seem to be an easy fix but, once the project is done, there is no incentive for them to provide any kind of service to their customers. I would never recommend them to anyone for a flooring project. My other choice for a contractor I did not even consider. I called him at 9:30 AM and I think I woke him up. He did not sound like a viable company so I told him I had a wrong number. I don't believe HomeAdvisor does a good job of vetting its contractors.
