This was a significant investment for us, but one that was competitively offered. Mike and his crew were prompt, efficient, thorough, and completed the work in two days. The crew left our pool and surrounding landscape in good condition. I would recommend Desert Mesa Pools services to anyone needing pool deck repair.
Angi's leads has been hands down THE WORST lead service that I have ever used. Do not, I repeat, do not use their services. It's a complete rip off. They will send you a "lead" and charge you no matter what comes from it.Even if the lead is bogus. They sent me a lead where the number was disconnected, asked them for a a refund on the bad lead and no, the refund was denied. Sent me another with the wrong number, doesn't matter, still charged me $189 for the lead with no refund. I also found out that they will send you and 2-3 other people the same lead and charge everyone for the lead no matter what. It's a scam. I called and asked to speak to a supervisor, and even the supervisors were like Yep we send you the number and you can charge to matter what. Doesn't even matter if they don't call you back. Angi makes money by ripping off hard working people. So surprised that they are still in business. I would give zero stars if they allowed me to..
I could list a litany of complaints. It would take waaay too much time so here are just a few. 1- You call them and sometimes you're put on hold forever. 2-You call them and sometimes their answering service isn't even working. 3- You call them to have a service done and at least half the time a contractor doesn't show for one reason or another. 4- If a contractor does show, they often do not know the details of the job you need done even if you specifically told Home Advisor exactly what was needed. 5- You can be quoted different price structures depending on which agent you speak to at home advisor. 6- Many contractors have complained to me about Home Advisor. Yes, mostly the ones they sent. That's all I can warn you about for now. I do not know how Home Advisor was years ago, but if you want a quality company, this is not the one to deal with.
Everyone that we have chosen have been top notch. They take care of the
Background/screening process so you have no worries.
They choose local businesses and contact them for you.
Inquiry calls are promptly returned.
Wouldn't use anyone else!
I read all the reviews below and agree 150%! These guys are a joke! They take your money and never deliver. We were getting leads out of state! Got one lead 4 times! Was charged 4 times! AND the lead was bogus! DON'T DO NOT EVER USE THESE GUYS! We are trying to get our credit refunded but they don't do that of course. Call the card company, let them deal with guys. No way to do business.
Home advisor. Charged me when my leads were off. They did the same thing last years gave me a free years sign up. This years they did the same. I have email proving my leads were off. They kept sending me leads and we all know how home advisor sends out B. S. leads so I always have mine turned off. They sent it to a collection agency mean while calling me to offer me another free years sign up. This is a scam company who changes there name who are also called Angie's list and they changed it previously before that. They send fake leads all the time. Warning to anyone who goes with this Company
I was charged 1205 for just clicking 8 leads none of this leads responded, I'm sure it was fake most of this leads had same phone# and extensions. I was only two weeks with them and got ripped off they threaten/harassed me stating that they will send to collection and sent final notice, I was forced to pay as I didn't want face collection. I wish I had read all reviews before signing up with them. I saw so many bad reviews everywhere specially BBB hopefully someone stop this company taking advantages of small companies by providing fake leads.
Quick. Having dealt with a unreliable person who had not mowed my lawn in almost a month. I was getting desperate to locate a reliable contractor to help me. Home Advisor came to my rescue. Thank you.
If you need work and are the cheapest contractor in the area, this site may work for you. Please note, approximately one out of four leads are legit and the one that is will be looking for price only nothing more. I gave them over a year to see if things may change and they only got worse. If you're desperate for leads or a brand new contractor willing to work for nothing, this may work for you? As a long term business owner, I warn my fellow contractors to not get sucked in. You think you can cancel and they remove you from their site... WRONG! They leave you there for months, selling off your leads to other contractors. What a nightmare for me, been battling them for months to remove us from SEO and their site with nothing but excuses of why this cannot happen.
Home Advisor sounds great but beware, they send irrelevant leads and charge you handsomely for them. We spent a small fortune for worthless leads. When we tried to cancel, they kept charging us. Two years after canceling they renewed us without permission and charged our credit card!
Take these bad reviews seriously! They are rip-offs!
Called to get a person to check my well casing. They sent a plumber, he called me and asked the problem. When I told him he said he did not do that kind of job, and now he would have to call them and get the 50 dollars he was charged back. So what seems free really is not because I am sure that your bill will have that 50 dollars in it. By the way I found and fixed the problem myself, since they did not seem to have any well guys signed up.
I'm very pleased with HomeAdvisor. They have wonderful customer service, and they led me to a great Patio installer near my home. I would recommend HomeAdvisor as the "go to place" when starting a home improvement project
Erin and Abe at Home Advisor were both most helpful, particularly Erin. Erin arranged for two contractor appointments. I used one of those contractors.
I did not like getting two immediate email request for payment from Home Advisor when I was going to pay the contractor directly. I paid the contractor the full amount, on the day of the work, and he deposited that check the same day. He could not have gotten his money faster.
I am a general contractor with kitchen and bathroom remodels as my primary business. The leads generated by home advisor, which the contractor pays for, are, for the most part, just fishing expeditions by homeowners wanting to know "about what" a project might cost. They have no specifics, direction or budget, making it impossible to bid. The leads are very expensive and are virtually worthless. Contractors... BEWARE!

Joined this company thinking have some leads would fill in the slow periods between jobs. But it turned out, my slow periods were being consumed by have to call them for credits on leads that were not creditable. Being on hold for 30 to 60 minutes or more. They did not care if the customer not answer the phone, or suprise a contractor is calling "i did not want to hire anyone, just a price", or no response form customer at all.
Garbage leads and only lies for the sales people and customner service
I spent way to much money for leads that were garbage, stay away from this company.
Sooner or later it will all catch up with them.
Rotten experience with both Home Advisor and Angie's List looking for painters. They both charged carpenter to whom I was incorrectly lead.' They won't resolve complaints either! STAY AWAY! Ask around locally for home maintenance work.
I paid in advance for Home Advisor to send a professional painter to paint 3 basement rooms and the hallway walls. Painter permanently damaged the floors with paint and did a terrible paint job. I do not think the man ever painter before. He was a very nice man, that never painted before. He even got paint on my $900 vanity. He had paint all over himself and the bottom of his shoes. Yes, he tracked paint on my finished floors. HE DID NOT CARE. He paint most of vfc 2 rooms and started painting 1 wall of the 3 room. I left him alone to paint because he would stand there and talk and not work at all. He was paid in advance for 7.5 hours.
Having never used Angi before, we didn't know what to expect. However, we were pleasantly surprised. We placed our information on Sunday night, received a call on Monday morning and our three porch posts were replaced by that afternoon. The workers cleaned up any/all items. We are happy with the results.
I always use Homeadvisor for recommendations when needing work done at our winter home since we aren't familiar with most of the local businesses. They never fail to suggest dependable competent vendors who we can trust and easily work with to complete the work in a timely fashion with excellent results.
You can spend your money better ways. I tried it out and most of the leads are very poor. Even when someone chooses a category it could be wrong and Home advisor does not care. They are not a partner. They only suck your blood. Caution! I wish I had seen this site and read all the bad review before I tried it out.

My experience with C $ S Fence Co. Was a very pleasant one. They do quality work at an affordable price. They were on time and did not rush the job. We have received multiple compliments on the fence. The entire team is vey personable: office staff, Larry and the installers.
Always find this to be a good source. I like receiving more than one contact for comparison shopping, price shopping and sometimes scheduling. I also like the follow-up call. I know the people being offered are consistently vetted by Angi's list through this follow-up process. That makes me comfortable with the referrals given. Next to word of mouth, it is the next best thing.
They promise a lot of new businesses but they charge you ahead of time for every lead even if you don't get the job... but the problem is that when you call customer within the minute... they don't answer, they never request anything, wrong phone number, fake people etc etc and they still take your money. Before signing it they used to call me everyday... now that I have questions and concerns they never return my messages and they take your money from your bank account every week... which I'm going to call my bank to stop these automatic withdrawals... companies please stay away from home advisors and find another way to get business... imagine getting money from 3-5 different companies from fake people?... they are Smart
Be careful when using the web service HomeAdvisor.com. If you use this site once to gain information on homes for sale, you will later find yourself enrolled in a "service" provided by someone called "propertyrecord.com." Then you will be billed $18.95 every month afterward. When seeking information on a house for sale, I gave HomeAdvisor's site what I thought was a pretty thorough scrutiny, and found no mention of enrollment in a "service." On receiving a second and third charge for $18.95, I figured I was being taken; I could only clear it up by phoning propertyrecord and asking for my "service" to be canceled. I am leery of returning to the HomeAdvisor site to try to find any small print I overlooked, so I cannot make this a more detailed warning. Still, be careful.
My wife and I have had good success with Home Advisor in the past. That all came to a crashing halt when my wife was thinking about getting the kitchen cabinets painted. One day, she called them and they said they could do it for $300 (yes, I know, that's why I discourage my wife from making spending decisions on the phone). I got home and she was thrilled until I informed her that was simply impossible and please get a refund and cancel. Long story short, no work was done and we were out the $300 after canceling. We disputed the charge and HA still insisted the work was done. Sorry, you lost a good customer for a pittance.

Why waste time with a company that charges exuberant prices for low quality leads? I'm done with HA and moving on to MyProHome, which is a smaller company, but they are down to earth and actually care about both parties. For me leads have so far been in the $10-25 range.
Easy to find matched companies to do the roof repair. After the first one, Bulldog roofing disappeared after inspection. Home advisor reached out to me and helped to find another company, Roof Tech Advisor, which is awesome! They came and fix the leaking in the same day. So overall good experience with HomeAdvisor. Will use it to find services I need in the future.
