My husband and I decided after many years our pre-lit Christmas tree needed to be retired. We went tree shopping and found a great tree. It looks and feels like the real deal.
I was in home depot for 30 min before someone could help me. No one on the isles anymore, and it's all self checkout. What happened? It has gone so far down hill. Plants are SO over priced. Guess I'm moving over to Lowes.
I have a DIY project going every time I go into this store. I love going to the tile section and looking at all kinds of choices the great thing about this is that their associates come and help you reach a better informed decision instead of impluse buying it's more the information the consumer.
I enjoy looking at the different paint samples before choosing one an a accent color. Home Depot is a lifesaver to your wallet as well.
Went to get a design on my kitchen, both ladies were too busy on the phone to even acknowledge me; one was definitely on a personal call; the other I'm not too sure. I even stood around a bit, looking at cabinet doors and counter tops but they were too engrossed in their phone conversations to say something to me. I left and went to Lowe's.
This was the Home Depot in Maple Heights, Ohio.
Great piece of equipment. Have a 3500 - 4000 watt Champion generator also and it works great so I stayed with Champion. I bought a 2500 watt dual fuel inverter to use to power my camper and it is awesome. This inverter only weighs 50 pounds and with my back the way it is it's the way to go. Also it is very quiet with only 53 decibels so neighbors at the campground don't frown at me when I start it up.

I have been in Home Depot dozens of times since their inception and walked out empty handed most of the time. Their product quality is mostly poor. Their lumber quality is poor. The aisle stock is disorganized. The attendants do not know the accountabilities of their assignments. The nursery practices are reflective of trade ignorance, low standards, promotion of counter-productive gardening practices, greed, disinfomation and outright fraud. A few days ago I shopped there to buy Rosemary plants and caught them in false advertising.
Love the hassle return policy, love the speed they work on getting my pick up order ready. Just didn't really like the guy in the store lied to me about 0% APR on home depot purchase by opening the card...
They have a large selection of hardware, garden, home appliances and more. Lowes is the same and between the 2 you should be able to find what you need. The customers service is ok but not always the greatest. The prices are reasonable and better than other hardware stores.
I bought a gas range. I had to wait an additional month before it was to be delivered.
At no time was their any coordination on its delivery.
Was expected to go with what's was scheduled.
I called to do a fomal compliant about it. Now I want to warn anyone that does business with them how the customer is treated.
Not taking into consideration we got things we do. Got to be at. Like work. Our anything planned. A it don't matter policy. That needs accommodate the customer in my view.
Tip for consumers:
Don't bow down to a bully!

First it took several weeks before, home depot contact me to schedule appointment for free window consultation. Then, when they finally contact me. The woman tells me that it would be inconvenient to meet after 230pm because of travel time. Well since that is inconvenient cancel it don't worry about a paying customer.
Went in for some carpet to re-do my bedroom and it seemed like a nightmare for several hours until Kevin walked down the aisle and offered some help. Couldn't thank him enough and he even let me know about some cheaper carpets with the same color scheme I wanted! Only wish he had walked by sooner and saved me from the 3 hours comparing carpets alone... place needs more help!
Went to the Home Depot on Washington Blvd. In Lansdowne today. I asked an employee in the plumbing aisle a question about a plumbing part I wanted to purchase. He asked me very matter-of-factly, "What do you think I am, a plumber?" The next time I need to visit a hardware store, I'll try Lowes. Maybe they will have someone in their plumbing aisle a little more knowledgeable about their merchandise.
Have a range that was delivered in November. Shortly after delivery and the light that says burner on would not go off. We could sometimes click and get it to go off in January we had a service technician that told me there was nothing wrong with the range and it was the way I was turning it on and off there's only one way you can turn the burner on and off turn the knob. He had no more than left the house when the light clicked back on and we cannot get it to go off I have called LG for service and they give me the runaround, went Home Depot and they won't do anything
Home Depot is a great store in many ways. Often they have some very good people, not always. Some stores such as Vallejo, CA are terrible. Others like Redmond, OR are some of the best in the entire western USA. It's all about the people who run those stores, some are better than others.
Any time I need to make a home improvement type purchase, I shop Home Depot. Unfortunately I don't think the website is that great. Backward/forward navigation isn't the greatest. As a person who makes 90% of her purchases online, Home Depot is one of those vendors I would rather just go to their store.
It takes Office Depot forever to process orders and ship. Then their prices are higher than the competition too. I placed an order online with their competitor and they shipped it same and arrived in two. I will avoid Office Depot from now.
Since my husband and I spend a lot of time refurbishing/rebuilding our 100+ yr. Old home, we're constantly in and out of our local Home Depot. Service people are phenomenal and most products are reasonably priced. Fortunately for us, we have 3 relatively local Home Depot's near us and if one is out of stock with what we're looking for, one of the other 2 most likely have it.
Ordered 27cs of flooring. Was lied to from their delivery service on the first try. Second try was a total fiasco! Two gringos who could hardly speak English almost dumped hundreds of pounds of wood flooring on themselves while trying to unload it off their truck.
Tip for consumers:
Do not get it shipped to your home. Pick it up from the store.
Home Depot is truly a place of imagination! My imagination added to that of some store personnel. Many times all I have to do is relate what it is that I'd like to accomplish, idea's I've come up with. It seems someone can always help with the idea's on "how" and Home Depot has something of quality that fits my budget! It's one of my favorite stores~
I received a gift card for Home Depot. I used the card once and then the next time I went to use it there was less money on it than there was last time i used it. Spend 30 min in store afterwards trying to find out what happened. Customer support was unable to tell me what was purchased on the card. This is such a scam! Home Depot keeps records of all purchases. I know that from returning items previously. The only reason they would not be able to disclose the items purchased is if they had something to hide. I will never accept or buy a Home Depot gift card again.
Tip for consumers:
Never ever accept gift cards from Home Depot

I ordered several items that never arrived. They know it never arrived as the items were damaged in transit but made no attempt to contact me. I contact them and ask them to send a replacement. They tell me they have to refund me and then I need to reorder. Waste of my time. But it was a gift card, so Ii had to reorder to use the credit. Half of the order arrives, (who knows where the rest of it is) but is damaged. I ask customer service to have it picked up and replaced, and am told that I either have to leave the package on my doorstep for up to a week until UPS picks it up (I can not schedule a time for pick up) or I have to bring it in to the store for a return, then reorder it myself. For the amount of my time they wasted, they should have at least offered a discount. I will not shop at Home Depot again (except to get rid of the gift cards that I'd been given for xmas). Thankfully, there's Lowes.
Tip for consumers:
If you MUST shop at Home Depot, shop in-store. There is no follow through or care with their online/ship to home services.
Each time I go on Home Depot.com I see more unavailable items listed than available ones. I'm spending time scrolling through stuff they cant even sell me. Some items listed aren't even available for delivery only or delivery to a store. This is very time consuming and frustrating when you need a certain thing but have to search through a bunch of mess to find it. On another note most of the time the "in stock" counts are way way off as to what's available in the stores as well on many many items. You can not count on the information on the Home Depot web site. Frustrating :(
There is nothing wrong with the appliances as long as you pick it up and install itself yourself. Home Depot farms out delivery and installation to a bunch of incompetent dishonest and in my case criminal companies. If you want a sample of the problems go to my3cents.com. In my case after 3 visits my range was still not installed, part of my old oven was still not removed and on the second visit one of the delivery people stole a portable power tool from my home. My experience is not unique.
It doesn't matter which Home Depot store I shop it, all the employees are friendly and helpful. It is really refreshing to see this company wide. They usually have the best prices too. If they are just a bit higher, I will still shop from there because I want to support a store I believe in.
I built a laundry room around a Bosch washer and dryer. It has been scheduled for delivery 3 times. They will only give you a delivery time the day before the scheduled delivery. The first two times no one showd up. No call no no nothing. Ive taken 2 days off work to wait. Third time was today and they scheduled it early morning when I absolutely cannot be home. I have a court appearance that I cannot change. Now they say it will be another two weeks before they can schedule delivery. I'm so disgusted I will probably cancel the order. Congratulations Home Depot. You lost a $3000 sale bc I'm going to send the other accessories I bought back. Furthermore I will not shop you again for anything.
Ordered some gardenining supplies online with home depot. They really should know a lot better when it comes to these things. They shipped out the wrong products. I take it back to the store to return and they said that'll get me the correct item. 30 minutes later these geniuses can 't even find the item...

Standing here waiting for someone to help me. Need to schedule someone to measure our living room for carpet but I guess they aren't really in the business. The signs say installed in 5 days… hmmm still no one. We'll I guess I'll go to Lowe's. I just wasted 30 min
