I was in home depot for 30 min before someone could help me. No one on the isles anymore, and it's all self checkout. What happened? It has gone so far down hill. Plants are SO over priced. Guess I'm moving over to Lowes.

HomeDepot Seattle/Bellevue is very poor in customer service and Delivery. Each year that past several years I have ordered a big order of yard supply products. *Homedepot changed the delivery service company that they use and now instead of delivering on one flat truck load they want to delivery with two box trucks and charge for the delivery twice. The thing is they are calling from the Bellevue location and do not know anything about Seattle. At the end of the day - They are trying to do a money grab. The homedepot delivery Route Manager simply does not care about customers or customer service. O.K. - - maybe Lowes deserves my business instead.

Tip for consumers:
At the customer service level -- 800 number - they seem to try - At the store level and regional level in Seattle /Bellevue -- they are a Joke !!

In the past, if I needed any type of tool or hardware, I naturally went to my local Home Depot in Gainesville, Florida. So when our refrigerator went out last Friday, I went on the internet to search for reviews on refrigerators and picked our favorite refrigerator. We then went to our Home Depot to purchase the one we picked out. We went straight to the appliance department and saw the one we wanted (with no help). We then went to the salesperson and waited about 5 minutes for her to finish talking to a fellow co-worker and told her we wanted to purchase a refrigerator. She finally got out of her chair to go get the tag off the one we chose. When she came back to her desk, I asked when could it be delivered? She looked it up on the computer and said "May 27" (23 days later) I asked nothing sooner? She said no and something about the warehouse. I looked at my wife sitting next to me trying to think about what to do. The sales lady started dancing in her chair, waving her hands and arms back and forth while wiggling her butt and the chair (check your video) and she asked "do you want it or not? I looked at my wife and said let's go to Lowes just down the road! This is where I want to THANK YOU and your saleslady. We went to Lowes and went to the appliance department where we were greeted by a very polite salesman and was asked if he could help us. We told him what we wanted and he led us to exactly what we wanted. A asked when could it be delivered, he said tomorrow (Saturday). I said great! Not only did we purchase the $2000 refrigerator, we applied for a Lowes credit card and from now on will do all our shopping at our local Lowes. THANKS!

I literally spent twelve thousand dollars with these people went a tornado. At the end of my job, I need to do a return on things that I bought that I didn't use and all they want to do is fight with me and not take care of me. I will not return to home depot I will spend my money with lowe's

I ordered through online order 4 shower hoses on February 29. I have had a promise order will be ready in 5 days. Now, after almost 2 weeks, still have items in transit for delivery to the store.

Was told someone would call me the day before my dryer was supposed to be delivered to pick a good time. That never happened at all and all I got was a text stating a time they would show up. Customer service was horrible and they said they can't change the time at all and more or less I was crap out of luck.

I ordered a free standing bathtub from home depot on 1/24/2024. When I attempted to track the shipment I could not get any information - it was unavailable. The delivery date moved from 2/5 to 2/8. I texted support and they told me that the tub had not even been delivered to the delivery warehouse and they could not give a delivery date. This is a standard size tub so I am not understanding why it takes this long. I have a contractor waiting for this delivery to move forward with the bathroom remodel. THis is unacceptable and it seems they are lying about the 2/8 delivery.

Post the correct information to the customer so they can plan.

Home Depot installed some of my home windows, they plant to come to do inspections and replace the brand new broken window handle.
It has been months and no one ever showed and I got so many broken promises.
This was my first and last time I will use Home Depot for any service; they have the worst customer care on ever seen.

Delivery man hired by Home Depot was so disrespectful.
They left our old stuff in driveway and basement - drove off and gave us the finger.

Call to East Haven Home Depot four times this morning to ask a question whether they provide free delivery of appliances twice I was put on hold and twice I would talk to someone who eventually hung up or didn't answer. So far I've wasted 20 minutes of my time to ask a simple question if this is how they do business I don't wanna do business with them here. I'm 78 years old I'm legally blind so I can't go on the website and read every detail and they have her in there it seems that talking to a human person is impossible. If this is how they work, I don't wanna work with them. I'll buy my appliance at Lowe's or I know that they have free delivery appliances.

Bought a fridge but they refused to pick up my old one because they said that the purchase doesn't qualify as an appliance...
This is taken from their FAQ on their website:
''Will The Home Depot haul away my old appliance?
Yes! But the haul-away item must be equal to the item being delivered (e.g. Dishwasher for a dishwasher). ''
They also didn't give 24h notice for the delivery (they didn't give any notice). Customer service was rude and barely spoke any English.

Home Depo project they never finalise / finished work if you plan to hire them be ready to do by your self or hire another one to clean around all frames add compound then painting it as this is the final pictures after they done and complete the work that's cost me almost 9 K!

Order placed AT pro-desk yesterday. Delivery scheduled for today. 1230 pm, delivery made. With missing items- identified by driver and myself.
Called store, Pro-desk would not schedule delivery of missing items. ASM Jessica said re-delivery in 2 days, I pay ANOTHER delivery fee, reimbursable.
It is 70 miles round-trip to this store. I refused and escalated complaint to Customer Care.
Lowes is 37 miles from me...guess where I am shopping in the future.

I cannot slam Home Depot too hard when they messed up my delivery, then I picked it up from the store and returned home to find someone's else's delivery on a pallet blocking my garage door. As frustrating as this was, everyone I spoke to at Home Depot in Maple Grove gave me great customer service - let's be honest - it is hard to find good customer service these days. Bobby was incredible to work with. He was kind, patient and very honest. I greatly appreciated his integrity and help today. I am grateful to see Home Depot is able to find employees like Bobby.

Tip for consumers:
Do not rely on your delivery being delivered on time and delivery fees were pricy.

Three week wait to get a refrigerator that was in stock. Then they don't show up. They say it will take 3 more weeks to get it delivered despite we are available to take delivery 5 1/2 days a week. Two staff call us and give conflicting information on dates they can deliver. None of them sound like they have a clue to what they are doing. Sales person and website were nice, though.

I have had several windows installed by Home Depot and I went for the more expensive ones because there was a lifetime warranty. The top of the arch of the window developed a big gap - this is not a caulking issue. Rain comes in! I have called and called and called and I get promises but NO ONE EVER COMES TO EVEN LOOK AT THE WINDOW MUCH LESS FIX IT! I began contacting Home Depot in November 2023 and as I write this, it is the end of February 2024 and they still haven't even LOOKED at it. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER. Do not buy windows from this company!

They give lots of promises that they do not fulfill.

We purchased a new electric lawnmower from Home Depot online. When it arrived the box had been taped shut and you could see it was previously opened. When we got the lawnmower out of the box there was dust and scuff marks on it. I believe it might have been a store model. When I tried to contact Home Depot I got an automated service with no option to speak with a real person. Could not find an email address to contact them either. I was going to take this one back and order another one but now they are out of stock. I think when you sell something for $500.00 it should in deed be new not used.

Just a heads-up if you live in an isolated location w/little or no competition. Found that the local store could block an item from from being ordered online, to be delivered directly to your home or to be picked up at the store itself. Not sure of the exact reason, but think its due to store working w/contractors and only bringing that product in for them. If item not barred from your state & can be carried at other stores, the way around it is to change your store location on the online site, even using store location in a dif state and see if you can now place the online order to be shipped directly to your home. Did this twice on a flooring product, got the orders through and shipping was $5 per case, w/each case weighing 45 lbs.

The after-sales support team is terrible. We have spent hours on the phone, on-hold and with different reps to have our fridge delivered - several months after purchase. We were given all sorts of excuses for the delay. We were also offered compensation, which was not received. It is abundantly clear that the after-sales support is a disconnected group of powerless phone agents, acting as a front for a firm that wants to appear to care about the customer, but avoid supporting their sales.

Only 4 self checkout machines and 2 are dedicated as credit card only. So I have to wait longer to pay cash. Must be you dont want my business since you are deliberately making it more difficult to check out! Crazy!

I bought a LG washer from Home Depot. They were out twice. They think there is nothing wrong with it, well after it's done washing, you open the door and water comes draining out on my wood floors. There is a hump in the boot inside the washer, the water does not drain back inside, it drains outward. But according to them it works properly and just leave it air dry out. I was told it's not a functional problem, well what's the boot doing on the washer then if it's not a functional part. Because it's stacked units, they refuse to send two people out to repair it. Just keep passing the buck between the store (Home Depot) and Asurion.And I got a defective appliance.

Terrible experience with renting a pressure cleaner: lost 4 hours of my time going back and forth changing equipment, paid 3 hours of the cleaning guy and filled with gasoline the tanks if 2 different machines.
And I didn't even get an apology!

Ordered a washer dryer set, expected delivery 6 days out. After purchase changed to 2 weeks then from there to 30 days more don't like to be tricked into a purchase, I will get my money refunded and go buy the set from lowes and pick it up today.

Tip for consumers:
To of been able to pay and leave with the appliances at the time of the purchase. Or be given an accurate shipping date not a week prior to payment then 2 weeks after paid, then 30+ days a week before Im suppose to recieve the set..so being tricked into a purchase. And wait for 45 to 50 days for a washer not feasible.. who can wait that amount of time for clean towels & underwater. Or pay every 3 days to wash &dry at a laundromat. When I should be able to wash &dry at home.

I received my bill for $7442.46 I paid before it was due $7443. Going into next month I charged $268.03. I was charged $71.93 interest. I called customer service And the representative could not explain it to me why I got charged interest he said it was for the amount that I made in my new purchase which is $268 and I'm getting charge 71.93 for interest. I told him I would take my business somewhere else and he said that's fine, Home Depot doesn't care about good customers I will definitely never walk into a Home Depot store again

Recently moved to a new state. Needed a ton of things. Most employees are new and don't really know where things are. Others try to be helpful, are quite nice but don't have the knowledge nor backup to aid customers. Trying to order French doors took three employees, almost six hours, ordered, paid for it and then a month later we were told that their system was corrupted and it will actually cost twice as much. They are a joke and I am so glad I sold my home deport stock as it is not a company that fosters confidence. Once I asked for an item and an employee told me I needed to walk through the aisles to find it. Really, how can a publicly traded company company hire someone that has so little regard for their customers, their income stream and the ones that pay their salaries. Because they are mainly the only game in town they take advantage of this. I give them a big 0 rating. Beware, Home Depot one day people are not going to put up with this mediocrity and poor service.
