I was in home depot for 30 min before someone could help me. No one on the isles anymore, and it's all self checkout. What happened? It has gone so far down hill. Plants are SO over priced. Guess I'm moving over to Lowes.
I had hammer customised in gold but it broke. They couldnt take back, i will speak to jogn who is the manager to see if they can strip and refurbish the hammer to resell, it takes many letters to get this thing done

Bought washer and dryer from home depot Clarksville store. They didn't deliver on the scheduled day, took off from work, they didn't show up. They gave another date, brought to the washer dryer but didn't install it, although installation was bought by us. They gave another date for that, didn't come, again I took off from work. Called them several times, didn't pick up, couldn't give any specific time. Biggest mistake was to buy from home depot. They gave 4th date, don't know what's gonna happen.
Home Depot does not even deserve 1 star. We bought 3 high end appliances from Home Depot and never got them but they had no problem charging my credit card immediately for these appliances but were never able to ship them to us. We were given 3 separate delivery dates and none of these times were we called one day in advance as we were assured they would. So, the day of each delivery, we wasted our entire day waiting on the deliveries that never happened. The store manager, Ken, at the NMB store even told us the last delivery day we would absolutely get the items and he would call us again himself the Tuesday before the delivery day to confirm for us one more time. Shocking!, but we never heard from him again either. We will never, EVER buy from them again and strongly recommend you DO NOT either! Run, Forest, run quickly to Lowe's or Best Buy if you actually want the appliances you purchase in your home.
Home Depot along with only another site basically is our whole house! We built our house a few years ago now & had an account with Home Depot for practically everything it took to build it AND furnish the little things that are so important like plumbing/heating/electric so we not only had them for a lot of structural things.
Louella- Ordered a sliding glass door with Home Depot ' s installation service. The door was in stock not a special order. Immediately after the installer left, we noticed defects with the door. Reported it to Home Depot, they confirmed it was a defect and not a warranty item. They worked with the vendor that they would replace the door and not the glass. They said it should be done in 2-3 weeks, which really meant six weeks. The vendor rescheduled due to lack of part, so now it is going to be 2 months before a possible solution. If we had taken the time to find a contractor, we would of saved money and worked directly with the contractor instead of Home Depot. Home Depot doesn't do anything for you once the product leaves the store. Overpriced and poor customer service.
The Home Depo in Bradenton Florida on Cortez is a less than 1 star in my book. I took my elderly mother shopping at HD for a new planter and plant, found just what we wanted, only problem was it was on the top shelf and this began the problem. After I walked a around a good 15 minutes to find someone to help get get the planter down, 4 HD employees later the queen of rude arrived. Twice this lady yelled at my mom " which pot is it "? And then she pulled a planter from the bottom shelf and said " here you go" and there sat a mold covered planter, which I was told would wash right up. Remember none of this is said in a nice tone or manner. I had enough at this point, told my mom let's forget this and go to Lowes. I'm done shopping at Home Depot, NEVER AGAIN!

Home Depot has by far the worst contractors installing there products, they covered asbestos floor tiles with rug without even telling me, when it was clear that 9+9 inch tiles are asbestos, had they told there was asbestos under the old carpet I would not have bought the house, instead they covered it, when I sold the house after I had to take $14k off the price because a simple inspection showed there was asbestos under the carpet, do not under any circumstances let them install anything, this is one example of five, they even admit they should have told me and did not. Hire your own contractor not Home Depot it will cost you more in the long run

Do not use Home Depot contractors they hire people off the street, and there work is worth nothing, they said they would take care of a problem they caused and did not.
I ordered a color of roofing shingles they they do not have in stock(green). I was told they would be in the following week. A month later the shingles are still not in. I asked them if they would fill the order with a color they do have in stock so that I can get my roof finished and they told me that they'd "have" to charge me a 15% restocking fee if I don't keep waiting on the month late order. I guess not living up to their end of the deal wasn't bad enough, they feel like they need to charge me extra for not getting my order in.

I purchased flooring from Home Depot in August of 2015, that was supposed to have a one year guarantee. In November, the floor started to lift and bubble.
I called Home Depot and they sent someone to look at the floor. The person who came to my home told me 9 tiles were lifting. Home Depot told me the floor was discontinued and therefore they could do nothing about it. I called the Home office in Atlanta, and they said, Sorry we don't have any more of that floor. An employee of Home Depot told me they had so many complaints about the floor that they discontinued it. He also told me Home Depot sells flooring under a name that is really their brand. The floor was LissineTravertine. The Home Depot employee told me they get complaints all the time, and they have over 300 bad reviews on Google, but Home Depot does not care. I would also check the sub contractor who installs their floors. I have filed a complaint with Dept of Consumer Protection and the Fed Trade Comm.
Had made my first purchased for a shower kit on May 31, with a cost of $ 989.47. When the they were going to installed it the shower walls were broken, I called Saturday requested a refund was given tracking # R******* and a telephone # *******085 to reach out to them for pick up. The same day I purchased another shower kit for the amount of $ 934.47. I still have not received my refund to my card yet for $ 989.47. New order came today # CP******* and I told the guy to open the box because it was damage and the new Shower kit was also broken! My second purchased. I refused delivery, they did not give me any paper work when I requested, they requested my signature refusing delivery due to damage and I took a copy of the document I signed. This is a mess, I need a shower kit. Home Depot keeps charging me for another, and it arrives broken.

I needed a lawnmower and ended up on Hone Depots site. It was so easy to research the brands and easy to place my order.
I received my lawnmower super fast.
I'd ordered a too small version and needed to return it.
It was so user friendly to start my return and to save shipping I drove 5 minutes to the closest Home Depot. Since I'd started the return online all I had to do was take my credit receipt.
The entire experience was smooth and easy so I upgraded to a beefier lawn mower which was delivered to me quickly.
I love my new lawnmower.
I honestly would rather buy from Home Depot online than in person because their customer service in person while shopping is below average.
Sorting by price does not work. Searching for 1x6 gives 1x3,1x4,1x6, etc. Wood species pull down says "Trim Boards" instead of maple, pine, poplar, etc. Dimensions are often incomplete. Who programs this stuff, monkeys?
Home Depot in Redlands, Calif. Sub-contracted B&M flooring in Ontario to install agranite floor in my kitchen. It did not match. Looked like a hopscotch. They tried replacing few of the tiles. It was worse. The workers scratched and dented my 4 month old stainless steel refrigerator. They did replace door but I still have mortar splashed on bottom of freezer door and dent in side. B&M and Home Depot's insurance co. Seddgwick, offered $300 for for "appearance restitution". What a joke. The woman from Sedgwick was very rude. Said I need to send her estimate for repair. I've called many company's. Can't find anyone who repairs dents! I will never shop at Home Depot again. Very unprofessional. Also, B&M was not truthful. Not forthcoming regarding event when they spoke to managers and Sedgwick.
We purchased a Whirlpool refrigerator online after visiting the local store. We were provided a delivery date and the refrigerator arrived on the date provided but the front panel where the ice/water reside had a huge dent. After reading all the paperwork provided at time of sale, it advises customers not to accept a damage product so we sent it back on the truck that delivered the product. We were told that a Whirlpool customer service representative would contact us in 24 - 48 hours with status on replacement. Well it has now been 6 days and no one from Whirlpool or Home Depot has contacted us. We called and found that one is going to be delivered next week... but without our follow-up we would have never known the status. Because of Covid appliance products are on backorder at most appliance stores so we will accept delivery but would not buy from Home Depot again.
Bought a table for my father and was waiting for it several weeks. My father in the wheelchair and cant walk so I bought a countertop table for him to be comfortable to sit there. The day of delivery a driver called me long past time of the time frame of delivery and said he would not bring the table up, can leave it outside of the building (21 story) building where elevators go back and worse. So he wanted my disabled father would bring it, but how. And he was happy and said ok ill take it back I texted Home Depot support, they said they were sorry and promised to look into it. But meanwhile my father has no table.
I think Lowes amazon warfare but never Home Depot the worst service ever.

Watch out for the rainflo scam HD has going if you purchase they offer money back gift cards through mail which you'll never get they'll even perform a rigged water test inhouse where no matter water you give them to comes out contaminated, they give away a ton of crap detergents and other liquids which are not free you are paying for it with the over price water softnener and RO system you can buy the a better system anywhere else alot cheaper. I found that out the hard way my wife was overwhelmed with all the socalled freebies she signed the dotted line and I had to pay over 6 grand for a 2 grand system.Be wise don't go for the water test they won't leave your house without making you sign the dotted line.
Customer services in this store is awful and I would recommend buyers to heck the price and quantity of items as they sell couple of items in the pack, but when you open there is only one. Ordered a couple of toolboxes and they took forever to get here. When they arrived they were all beat up (lids don't seal) was told i could send them back but might take another 6o days. Needed them for a trip so i kept them. Home depot ask me to review my experience i did. They rejected the review because it had negative statements I was given a list of nice things to say that they would accept. So i couldn't give an honest review of there terrible service so i left none. Good luck buying from them.
Took 2 hours to buy a washer and drier in store because they had a "new" system. Washer and drier delivered and the delivery folks left screws in the washer which completely ruined the washer. We got stackable kit was installed incorrectly so the drier on top could have fallen on my 3 year old at any given point. I am sure home depot is great at many things but this experience has been a NIGHTMARE. Don't buy appliances from them. We are struggling to get a replacement out to our home in a timely manner. I do not use the internet as much now. I have been running a completely unprofessional challenge of purchasing between H/D and the internet. The majority of times I purchase from the internet, I go to H/D and check prices and availability and guess who wins, H /D. And something else I have a lot more spare time now that I'm not mail-box watching.
Jay, a HD customer service employee demonstrated a hostile and aggressive behavior, intruding in on a conversation between a customer and untrained cashier, (who was poorly trained and wrongfully denied customer a refund). This yelling and hostile violent shouting at customer was reported to corporate, and returned to Tracy, the store manager, who did NOTHING to make certain this employee was removed from public interaction. His inability to control his temper makes him a unstable threat to the public. Tracy stated she would return my call to this issue and blew it off, with no return call or any intention to address this violence.
I bought an item and canceled it because it had the wrong shipping address. I canceled it immediately and then reordered with an updated address. The item had not shipped. 48 hours after I received the cancellation confirmation they shipped the item and billed me twice. When I called the customer "service" they said oh cancelations are "requests only". Cancelling your order and getting a confirmation doesn't guarantee that it is in fact canceled. Mind you I got the cancellation confirmation 48 hours before it was packed, shipped, or billed. Con artists.

Purchased a weed wacker 1 year ago used it 4 times and motor seized up. Called customer service and was told I needed to deal with the manufacturer. Not a problem but asked if they could print me a copy of my receipt and that's where the problems started. They told me that if I had purchased their extended warranty that they could but since I didn't they couldn't print me a receipt. Then the CS person begins to lecture me on keeping receipts for big purchases. That's when I told her I will be keeping all of my receipts from Lowes from now on.
