My husband and I decided after many years our pre-lit Christmas tree needed to be retired. We went tree shopping and found a great tree. It looks and feels like the real deal.
I was in home depot for 30 min before someone could help me. No one on the isles anymore, and it's all self checkout. What happened? It has gone so far down hill. Plants are SO over priced. Guess I'm moving over to Lowes.
In March of 22 we brought back an American Standard toilet that was 3 yrs old with hair line cracks in the front near the handle - we were told that we would get a credit for the new one we had to buy - we have been at the Enfield Ct store many of times they keep telling us the same thing they are waiting on American Standard and we are paying interest on a $400. Toilet very very upset and disappointed with the customer service

The best thing I love about HomeDepot is the staff. They are always willing and ABLE to help me with my projects. They are well trained and have a lot of knowledge they are willing to share. If they didn't have such awesome employees HomeDepot would have to call themselves Lowe's.
At checkout, as usual I asked employee for Veteran Discount (which I've gotten in the past, and still get at Lowes) she and the chain of command all said NO. Must have a smart phone and some kind of App in order to get it. Most veterans I know either do not have such a phone, or no app; therefore, no discount. Whoever came up with this should be demoted as it is totally false advertising. I am a life-member of both the DAV and VFW, and a lot of members are angry about this. Fix it!
Offered 6 months interest free, handy for a 62 y/o guy with Parkinson's living on disability. Charged $129 on 1-13-22. Called 3 times requesting a bill, said would send but didn't, 3rd time said it wouldn't get to me on time! Received bill on 3-23-2022 for payment due 2-18-22, with purchase + $35 interest and fees! Sent check immediately the next morning to pay the $129 charged. They send a new bill every month adding interest and fees on top of interest and fees, since my purchase was paid in full immediately upon getting the bill. Fraudulent. Lowe's has hired 30K military, and their stuff is much nicer, and that is where I will do my shopping forevermore!

We love HomeDepot service, very good. But, we get to the check out and ask if they give military discount and the checker says "Yes, we do" and we present the valid military card and thought we received the 10% off? We got home and no discount was applied! WE BOUGHT A $800 dishwasher among other things! We had to drive all the way back to straighten out the mess and get our discount, so be sure to verify with the clerk that you actually got the discount before you leave and drive all the way home. SIGH
I've never left a negative review before, but am really frustrated at the lack of customer support. I ordered a vanity from Home Depot and Innovel Solutions was the delivery company. They tried calling a couple hours before drop off, but I work at a prison where we cannot bring phones into the facility. I thought they would just drop it off. They left me a message saying the house looked vacant so they didn't leave it. It was, I am remodeling it. I called them and they spoke to me about redelivery. I asked how late they deliver, they said to 9. I get off work at 3:30, so that would leave plenty of time for them to redeliver. They said they will redeliver it during that time frame. I waited a week without any contact. Contacted the 24/7 Home Depot text support and explained the situation. After a few questions about what assistance I required, I received no response.
We made a telephone call to our local Home Depot and we're transfered due to the employee that answered the phone couldn't help us. The second employee also couldn't help us and was talking in circles and not making sense. This employee hung up on us.? Our issue still has not been resolved. A $900+ issue.

I went to the Palm Coast Store om 7/24/2022. Went to the counter with me cart. Showed my VA Card and was told I have to have the Home Depot App on my phone to get my 10% discount. Didn't have my phone on me and when I did it didn't work! After talking for a few minuets I got mad and asked " listen, what's the bottom line, Am I getting my discount or not" she replied a little snotty. Not without our Home Depot App. N I left the cart with my purchase and just walked out!
I then went down the road to Lowes were the counter person ask if I was a Veteran, I showed my Card and with a smile she gave me a 10% discount and thanked me for my service. Lowes even had a spot for Veterans Parking.

This is a GREAT store for the do-it-yourselfers. You can always find knowledgeable employees who will guide you in the right direction or find what you are looking for. They also have the best prices and great products with a great return policy.
Border crossers delivered my appliances and destroyed my hardwood floors, didn't level the appliances, destroyed the water line to the fridge and on and on and on. Contacted corporate and these people are fuc)/;(! Clowns! They could care less about what kind of crap you receive from delivery monkeys. I am so pissed off at their lack of concern that I won't shop there again. FU Home Depot!
Placed an order online using a gift card. Got notified that my order was cancelled because the item was out-of-stock. 3 days later trying to place an online order only to find out that gift card balance isn't refunded. Called customer service and found out that I have to come in to the store to receive a refund in store credit. No one notified me that the refund couldn't be processed unless I come in to the store, in any form of communications.
Call got transferred to the Concord store and the lady told me it's not their responsibility to inform me that I have to physically come into the store to receive my refund from using a gift card and that the gift card refund policy is listed on the website.
Spent a total of 1 hour on the phone with Home Depot personnels and my issue still isn't resolved unless I go to the store.
Think twice and look elsewhere if you're looking to get a Home Depot gift card, or shop at Home Depot, this Concord store specifically.
I used to have good esperince with Homedepot but looks like last couple of years they change the way they used to make business. I have used over 6-7 Homedepot stores and in 3 different cities... Lately my feelings changed towards Homedepot. I try to use Homedepot as little as possible... They have lost at least $70-80K business, from me this year alone.
Home Depot would not deliver to my house.
Like many in Cambridge, MA, I live on a one way street with on street parking. I also have a driveway. But Home Depot would not deliver my appliance.
The first attempted delivery was aborted because the truck was too big and could not find parking.
After speaking with the Home Depot expediter, we made arrangements for a second delivery attempt and agreed that I would have cars saving spaces for the delivery truck that would then quickly move upon arrival. I worked quite hard to arrange with neighbors to help with this. But, the truck never called, never delivered, and just said they could not delivery to my house. I'm not sure why.
I called to inquire about my order, and was told if I wanted my appliance I would have to come pick it up myself.
I then canceled my order. I will no longer order appliances from Home Depot.

I ordered two six packs of bug bombs from the site. The sku on the site matched a three -ack so the associate selected two three packs, that I understand. It then took 30 minutes to correct the issue as the sku error need to be reported, a store credit issued and then I had to pick the extra three packs myself. I DON'T expect to ever use the online ordering again as I find error after error with it and since I have to go to the location I might as well pick the item myself which I'll get right.

Of weak government employees are scared of illegal immigrants and make choices to support them to spread disease in our country.
Historically this country has never allowed its legal citizens to loiter, trespass or prostitute in any parking lot.
And now our government employees along with supportive commercial property owners and leasers are supporting illegal individuals to do this unmasked superspreading more disease in our country.
Got a call about a job, I'm all excited. Im thinking Home Depot want to hire me I haven't worked in a long time I need a job, the machine disconnect me to sum person all that just to say no you can't get this job you don't have a car or insurance like wtf now it's gone be a whole 4 months before I hear from them.
Romanoff Renovations was recommended by Home Depot to do my project; tile replacement on my deck. They visited about 2 weeks before work began, to clear all details. They explained I'd have to remove my iron rails in order for the installation to begin. I largely removed them and on day one of installation, I overheard the installation team discussing that morning the difficulty of the job and asking their boss if he could "get them out of it." They left and that afternoon, I was told it was too dangerous, OSHA issues, etc. and can't do the work. Why was it not mentioned 2 weeks ago, now I've chopped up my iron railing, at their request and I and left in a lurch. I offered to reinstall the railing and still no call back, nothing. Engaged Home Depot (Carol - Store Manager) and they were absolutely useless in trying to find a solution. They only wanted to sell materials not actually help the customer find a solution.
I ordered a Patio Door online for in-store pick-up, the order took 2 months in arriving at the store, they finally got the door but not the same one I ordered, they asked me if I want to re-order and it will take 2 months more to come, so I decided no to do it, is totally unprofessional and customer satisfactionless. Also 6 months ago I bought a windows replacement service for 6 windows, after 3 months of waiting they came to my house to install 4 windows because they missed 2 windows in the warehouse so they need to re-ordered, now I'm waiting 3 months more to get the final 2 windows left installed. Do you think this is a serious company?, no way, I will never use The Home Depot ever again.

Then all of a sudden it was gone, called to check and we're told we would not be getting them, but they would refund our money. Thanks Home Depot for not being responsible for what you sell. Never again
Recently remodeled my bathroom. Ordered a new shower door and a new vanity from The Home Depot. The vanity arrived with a tiny imperfection. They offered to get me a new one or give me a big discount on the original. I took the discount and I can't even see the little dent. In addition to that, they gave me the same discount on the shower door and a new toilet. That's what I call good customer service.
Homedopt horrible delivery system you have to call in order to get your pretty much arranged your delivery is all on you or your item will stay on their warehouse for a long time after is been paid for.
The home depot on 2658 s. W. military highway San Antonio texa *******. I went to the store the store has good parking. The staff are helpful and cheerful and happy to help. One employee had the time to help me find what I was look for. GOOD STORE!
Huge problem with their customer service and the fact they can take my money and keep it for weeks and I have nothing. Had an appliance delivery and they couldn't install because I guess my outlet is not compatible which I had no idea. So refused the delivery they didnt even unpack the machine. They cancelled it right in front of me in my kitchen over the phone. Apparantly they didnt thought because today I called to see where my money was and they cancelled it on the phone with me and said I now I have to wait another 7-10 days for my money. How can a company do that? So I'm out 500 bucks for over 2 weeks with nothing to show. Most people cant afford that. I also had to call 6 times to actually get through to someone who could help me. They hung up one of the times as well. Horrible customer service!
Jerry & Jack in the Granbury store are the most knowledgeable, friendly employees I have ever encountered in Home Depot. We bought a exterior door and storm door along with the hardware. They re-keyed the new locks we were buying to our current keys. The doors were just as easy to hang as they stated.
