My husband and I decided after many years our pre-lit Christmas tree needed to be retired. We went tree shopping and found a great tree. It looks and feels like the real deal.
I was in home depot for 30 min before someone could help me. No one on the isles anymore, and it's all self checkout. What happened? It has gone so far down hill. Plants are SO over priced. Guess I'm moving over to Lowes.
The pickup experience seems to be lacking a bit. People don't man the desk well and take a very long time to find the order. Otherwise it's a super experience!
My experience with ordering from Office Depot was excellent. I never had a problems with my orders. My orders were always delivered when they say they would.
Tip for consumers:
The order was processed quickly and I received my order within a few days.
I have shopped at Home Depot since the early 90's. I really like shopping in the store. It has a great selection and you can easily order things not available that will arrive in a few days. They have a great website and the shipping is free if you want it delivered to your home. You just have to reach a certain threshold for the shipping to be free but it is a low figure currently $45. They also offer a 10% discount on most items (lumber is one they do not for example and this has cost them a lot of my business from me because Lowe's gives it on lumber) to veterans and service personnel if you ask for it on
When it comes to facilities, Lowe's has a much nicer set up. At Home Depot, the stores are darker and the aisles are narrower than Lowe's. The stores just aren't as visually appealing as the Lowe's stores. The selection of goods and services are at least as good as Lowe's and customer service is of the same caliber. Home Depot's pricing is very, very similar to the Lowe's stores but you can often find a cheaper price on some items. But you can say the same of Lowe's. I usually shop both stores on line before going in to get the lowest price.
The Home Depot return policy is very liberal and I have never had a problem with a return even if I didn't have the receipt. All in all I would say the experience is about what you can expect at any big box store and I don't think you will go wrong shopping there.
Tried HD website to find stock at local store. Two items indicated unavailable except in 25-packs. Found both items in single quantity at local store, however. Website is inaccurate.
I PAID 3000 FOR AN INDUCTION OVEN AND IT ONLY REACHES 325 DEGREES FOR BAKING ON CONVECTION. SO REALLY IT IS NOT A CONVECTION OVEN. THE STOVE IS A NIGHTMARE IT COOKS UNEVENLY AND GOES OFF ALL THE TIME. THEY CAME AND FIXED IT AND IT STILL DOES NOT REACH OVER 325 DEGREES. THIS LG STOVE IS COMPLETELY DEFICIENT IN EVERY WAY. THEY WILL NOT RETURN IT EVEN IF IT IS LESS THAN ONE YEAR.WOULD NOT GIVE ANY STARS FOR HOME DEPOT IF I COULD THEY DO NOT HANDLE ANY COMPLAINTS AND SLUFF YOU OFF TO LG WHERE YOU WILL BE PUT ON HOLD FOR HOURS ON END.
Tip for consumers:
DO NOT BUY FROM HOME DEPOT THEY SELL PRODUCT THAT HAS MANY COMPLAINTS BUT DO NOTHING TO HELP

Home Depot will Not give a refund for paint even if the can was not open. Lowe's will give a refund for any can of paint you buy that hasn't been open.
Will Never buy paint from Home Depot.
I purchase from HomeDepot a lot. The items I want are available and the location is convenient. Some items that are not in the store are available online. I recommend HomeDepot.
I purchased a bundle package from Home Depot and it consisted of a refrigerator, dishwasher, stove, microwave. When I installed the appliances and turn them on. I found that the refrigerator was in a green LED for all of the controls, the dishwasher was in white LEDs, The microwave in green and the I've been in white. I called LG and ask them why they were different colors and they said that's just the way they make them. Nothing was uniform. The first time I went to use the microwave it had a ladder sound then what would be normal for the microwave and I called to have somebody take a look at it. They told me it would be on a Tuesday and I called them back Tuesday afternoon to see what time because I have not heard from anyone and they said they would not be there till Wednesday and the next day. I called them back on Thursday and they still did not have a set time for me. Five days after the last phone call I had with them I called them back and they said that I would need to call the company who was a third-party vendor myself. I called them and it took me right to a voicemail that said that they were beyond overwhelmed with the number of repairs and that I would need to text message them to figure out where my scheduled time was. I still have not heard back and it's been over a week. What I can take away from this is LG is not a good company to buy appliances from. They are great with TVs, they should stick to what they know. It's worth the money to spend the extra and get appliances from an actual kitchen company such as KitchenAid who knows the inns and outs of appliances.
Tip for consumers:
If they bundle appliances together then they need to match

There's nothing you cannot find at Home Depot to redo an entire house. Prices are fair, staff are more than helpful and knowledgable, and they are everywhere! I like them way more than Lowe's.
Their gardening stuff is amazing and I truly love them. My garden was gorgeous after we were done with it. The complimens we got were amazing and of course made the yard look stunning.
Honestly if you have a house with a roof... wait what am i saying you can build a house with everything they have there. You can buy everything you need to be able to survive!
Chris & Carlos at the Brea location were very helpful with contacting the rental center at the La Habra store and getting me the correct tool for the job that was needed. J.J. Hernandez
Both Lowe's done with both.! And home depot are trying to stay in business by raising prices, both are crazy, also service is, hellooooo can I get a person to help find a item?
I had the worst experience at the Home Depot in Jackson MI. Long story short, we went in store to order a storm door for replacement. After picking out our door, we went to schedule installation. The computers were having issues so we were told the order was placed and we would get a call from installers. After a week, we went back in store to see what the status was. We were told that the order we had was blank and thus cancelled. I was frustrated but I understand things happen. So we went through the process again. I was assured by the manager that we would receive better service this time. We did get the installers to the house to measure the door. Per the printed document we got from Home Depot, we expected a call to schedule the appointment within a week. It is now 3 weeks after and we hadn't heard anything. I just called to check status and wouldn't you know it, our order is blank again. No info on the door we supposedly ordered. The manager I spoke with was completely unhelpful. She transferred me back to Jim in millworks (who was kind, apologetic, and trying to be helpful) only to be told that we would have to start over again. I am done with Home Depot. I can't believe that lack of responsibility the management team took for this. It is a little project but between my dad and my brother-in-law and myself, we have spent MILLIONS of dollars on materials. So I decided to buy the door at Lowe's and will have it installed by a local contractor. It will be done next week. And now I am going to spend this snowy afternoon letting everyone know how disappointed I am in the response from Home Depot.

Home Depot in Seaside is EXCELLENT from Hershel in appliances, to Linda at the return counter to Eric in Millworks to Moshe the manager. Best Service, best pricing and the people will go the extra mile for you. Ten GOLD stars for each of them
Home depot will not Uninstaller and haul away a customer dishwasher after they are the one who installed. Never buy any product that have to be install by them. Bad business

Home Depot carries everything under one roof for your housing needs. The employees are very friendly and willing to help with whatever questions you may have.
#1: Tim Dunfee 'store manager' in Willow Grove PA thinks it appropriate to get in a customer's face using loud, confrontational tones after lazily and loudly asserting repeatedly the blinds I was returning without a receipt sell for 1.50 each?!?... but, after spending a few moments after his ugly attempt at intimidation he reluctantly found a larger amount and acquiesced as if he was doing me a favor... F for customer handling Timmy... bad manager.
#2: in the tool dept asking about bits for drills bought earlier this month... lazy guy comes by and reads the same package I read and then suggests I go to the front of the store to the Christmas display... "there would be MORE items outside of the actual tool dept" I asked... dull look, no effort to get someone with more experience, NAH, too much trouble... F again
#3: came in to get 2 keys made last month... "we don't have the 'regular blanks' cause nobody's ordered them for months, you'll hafta pay 5x the normal amount for those others in different colors"... we get to pay extra for your fail?!?... F again! That's 3 Fs in a row!... seems like they're going the way of Hechingers, you know the store chain that failed and closed.
Home Depot the wendover store in Greensboro the worst customer service ever, don't go over there, we bought a front door lock went to Home Depot to get it, were told that they don't have it, so I cancel my order, and go to the isle that have the locks, and the door lock was there, I will never give my business to Home Depot again
THE HOMEDEPOT.COM WEBSITE IS BY FAR THE WORST WEBSITE ON THE INTERNET. THIS IS NOT EVEN A CLOSE CALL. THEY USE SMALL FONTS FOR ALL CATEGORIES... THEIR SITE "LOADS" SUPER SUPER SUPER SLOOOOWWWW... ITEMS PURCHASED DO NOT SHOW ON THEIR WEBSITE FOR DAYS (YES... I SAID DAYS!). PURCHASED ITEMS ALWAYS TAKE 10 TO 14 DAYS TO ARRIVE AT MY LOCAL HOME DEPOT STORE. THEIR "IT DEPARTMENT" NEEDS TO PERFORM A MASSIVE UPGRADE TO THE WEBSITE USING CUSTOMER SUGGESTIONS FOR INPUT.
I went today to Home Depot in Virginia Beach Celebration Station and there's no sanitize for the shopping cart and also there's no sanitize for the checkout registers the self-checkout it's not that hard to protect the customers from Catching the covid-19! 1 of 2 reasons the employee are lazy to do that or Home Depot don't want to spend the money to do the sanitizing thanks
Had one of the worst experiences with a vendor, that I can remember. Went to your flooring dept. at you Poulsbo Washington location picked a slate flooring and scheduled install. After waiting 2 months they show up today, pull my carpet, cutting it into pieces, remove it with padding, lay out my slate, call manager, manager comes, installers leave. Evidently they do not like to install flooring on chip Crete, which is what I have over my radiant floor heating system. I am sitting in my home with no flooring and no resolution other than oops sorry, we can refund you you're money. Crystal (from flooring) and Shannon (store manager) were absolutely no help. This is how you operate? The measurer came out 2 months ago, measured, pulled a corner of carpet and indicated the subfloor, so what's the problem? Why am I sitting in my home with no flooring and no help! As my records will show, I have spent $15,000. At Home Depot this year and hundreds of thousands over the past decades. This is completely unacceptable.

Home Depot came out to install an oven after they left there was a gas leak and they would not come back to repair it. They just used their attorneys to say it wasn't their fault
