My husband and I decided after many years our pre-lit Christmas tree needed to be retired. We went tree shopping and found a great tree. It looks and feels like the real deal.
I was in home depot for 30 min before someone could help me. No one on the isles anymore, and it's all self checkout. What happened? It has gone so far down hill. Plants are SO over priced. Guess I'm moving over to Lowes.

I love doing business with Home Depot because the buck does stop with the CEO as he proclaimed. I have been a customer at Home Depot for close to 20 years but only a fairly recent on line shopper. I had several problems with my online purchases in late 2012. I emailed the CEO, got a response within 12 hours, a phone call within 24 hours from an online sales manager, and all my issues were resolved in about a week. That is what I call customer service. I have never found customer service as good as this in any other on line shopping business. The very close seconds were Amazon and Walmart.
When I first started shopping at Home Depot, I was overwhelmed by the size. Over the years, their customer service improved and they carry a wider variety of products than could be stocked by the local hardware Stebbins ANdersen, which was known for their service. When STebbins-Andersen told me to of to Home Depot for something I could not find and assured me that Home Depot had customer service, I switched to Home Depot and found that for the most part, the customer service was indeed very good.
I enjoy coming to Home Depot, it has fantastic products for all of your home needs. I am re-doing a bathroom and Home Depot has absolutely everything I need.

My packeges never arrived and they have no customer service they never pick up i ordered 4 orders and they use a rubbish courier service highly unreliable
I went to HomeDepot in Eagan Minnesota and bought a over the ranger microwave. Ended up taking 4 days to get once we had it my husband plugs it in the fan works great however the door wouldn't close all the way. So he held the door close and tried to see if it would heat up and work. It didn't work it was broken. We brought it back and they said that they wouldn't take it back that once it leaves the store it not their problem. So the first thing is they would sell an appliance that doesn't work and not give us a replacement. He argued with them and they finally said they would refund it. He gets home being told that we would have the money returned. Days later I get a call because they did the return wrong and we had to go back in. Are you kidding me it is a 50 minute round trip now for the 4 th time. So I go in and then waited for them to figure it out then call a manager because they don't understand to them wait and finally be told the refund was already refunded are you kidding me I just made another trip for nothing. So I repeat Buyer beware. If I could give them a Negative number I would. I work hard for my money and then to be treated this way Never AGAIN!

It seems to happen more and more I get rude people working there one man in the cabinet department told me when I asked about cabinet doors with a resesed handle I even showed him a picture he said home depot doesn't sell them I said well thats where I bought them but I needed one door he told me I was wrong and didn't know what I was talking about because he has worked there since 1988 and he has never seen them. So I should get my facts straight I just walked away. When I stopped at the help desk and asked for a ma n ager I was told one wasn't available and I should go online and find what I was looking for and come back with a sku number. REALLY do I look like I work there
The only method of contact from the homedepot.com website is a phone number with at least 45 minutes on hold. And after two 1 hour calls to homedepot.com customer service, my issue still is not resolved. Absolutely no response from homedepot.com customer service. Absolutely ridiculous to not have email as an option for contact on your website or another method to avoid the excessive time on hold. "We're here to help" in huge font on homedepot.com customer service page. If Home Depot was here to help, they would be easier to contact and respond to my issue.
I ordered two floodlights from homedepot.com on 5/8/20. I have an invoice for two lights, a packing slip that says two lights shipped, but only received one. The delivery arrived on 5/12/20 but only received one floodlight. The package I received is only 8"x8"x6"and only big enough for one light. I called homedepot.com customer service the same day of delivery. The only method of contact is a phone call. After on hold for one hour, I explained I received only one light when I ordered two. I was given a case number and I would receive a response in 3 to 5 days. No response after 7 days and I called customer service again. After another 45 minutes on hold, customer service called and left a message with the manufacturer and said the manufacturer would contact me the next day. After no response, I emailed the manufacturer myself and after a few emails to show invoice, packing slip, shipping label and box they are sending me my light I ordered, although as of 5/27/20 I have not received it
I used to drive out of my way to shop there. Now I will never shop at any Home Depot again. Dan, the asst Manager is an arrogant $#*! that does not give a damn about customers or customer service. This used to be a great friendly store. Now it just plan sucks, the staff have a screw you attitude, likely fostered by Dan, who will tell you in no uncertain terms he does not give a damn about your business. He does not check to see if the item you need is in the back or at another store, "If it's not under the shelf, we don't have it. The warehouse is closed because of Covid-19, you don't like it get out" So I did, and went to my local Lowes, that was much closer, I only went out of my way to go to Home Depot, Orange City, because in the past I had world Class Customer Service, boy are those days gone. Interestingly Lowes had exactly what I was looking for, and even made an announcement while I was there that they were restocking daily. I guess Lowes warehouse is still open. I have a major Kitchen overhaul I will be starting in a few days, at least $*******, I had planned to purchase the materials from Home Depot, but after Asst Manger Dan, made it clear he did not give a damn about my business, and basically told me to get out because I didn't like his attitude, that business and any future business I have will be going to Lowes or Ace Hardware. Good Job Asst Manger Dan, you just cost Home Depot a customer for life. You have absolutely no business working in retail, if you worked for me I would have fired you on the spot.
I spend more time here than I do at home. Prices are better than Lowe's, products are the same. Altho, I do admit that Lowe's has a better Lighting Dept.
A man named frank from spanaway home depot went above and beyond. I've never built anything or even had the ambition to, or ever even think I could with my lack of skills. Frank believed that I could. I really appreciate all the time he spent on explaining to me, over and over what needed to be done, and how to fix whatever needed to be done after I would mess up. So now I have my man cave after about 3 months, atleast but we'll go with that more like 6 months. In all I would just like to say thank you to him and home depot for everything because I wouldn't of been able to do it with out him and on the small budget I had for it. So all in all, THANK YOU VERY MUCH FRANK AND HOME DEPOT.
I ordered a new dryer on May 4th. A week later it wasn't delivered so I contacted customer service who said the local store hadn't finalized the order. Okay, no biggie, only delayed my delivery by 3-4 days.
I got an e-mail from a Homedepot.com appliance specialist confirming my delivery date.
Delivery day arrives and I hear nothing. Call up customer service who say they have no record of my order. Huh?
I call up Homedepot.com customer service (Because apparently you can't transfer between regular customer service and the website customer service) and they say the same thing.
After pretty much demanding my way through supervisors I finally get a straight answer - the local vendor was out of stock of my item but failed to notify anybody.
Soonest I could get a dryer was in another 12 days.
I got a refund and GTFO
I would never recommend this website to anyone EVER!
Silver lining: The last guy I talked to in customer service was nice about the whole thing because he understood the comedy of errors that had led to my refund.
We purchased a washer and dryer from Home Depot a month ago. Delivery was due that week. At the last minute.after taking time off from work...the delivery was canceled. The same thing happened at the next scheduled time. The third attempt made it to our house but the entire front of the washer was dented in. We didn't accept it. Now it's a month after our initial purchase. The new hopefully undented washer was set for delivery yesterday. The delivery again was a NO SHOW. I've called HD as well as went to the store and have been told that it's an issue between the manufacturer's warehouse and the delivery company. Home Depot has nothing to do with it. A week after we purchased the washer and dryer we also purchased a microwave along with delivery and installation. When it arrived the delivery guys took it out of the box and then said they didn't know how to install it.! And they asked if I just wanted them to leave it so that I could install it or call a contractor to install it. Again Home Depot said...not our problem. We have shopped at Home Depot for years with no problem. Whatever is going on now is totally unacceptable and I would think that Home Depot would care more. These purchases were made at the store in Mechanicsburg PA. The delivery co. Is Estes. I firmly suggest staying away from both unless you like frustration and BS

I went into a home depot in south philly on Oregon st ******* and... they have security just taking it up on the phone mean while two separate people just walked the hell right in the store without a MASK ON! Last time I checked wearing a make is at mandatory in all places and one more lil ting I needed help with looking for stuff and there's not one person stop and ask me if I need help with finding something I had to search on my own to find someone to call someone on that field yet I waited and waited and still iam waiting soo I said $#*! yall n your exit security service was extra rude please up your standers cause you damm skippy do da day lowered mines in just seconds not even a minute God dang
I ordered a french door and they just plopped it in my driveway during hail season. I had to rally up people to help me move it inside the garage and found that it was the wrong door! Had to spend hours trying to get them to pick it up and deliver the right door- emphasizing that they not plop it down in my driveway! After another month I got the door which they plopped down in my driveway again! A couple months later the glass cracked so I had them order a new glass insert. Went to pick it up, unpackaged it, disassembled my door to place it in and it was the wrong size! Had to reassemble my door, repackage their glass, and drive back to the store. They were defensive and rude even though I stayed calm and professional.
The delivery of that glass was delayed for unknown reasons so I asked them to deliver the new glass to the store because I was going to be out of the Country. They delivered the glass to my home, placed it up against the garage and left! This is just a summary of the nightmare I went through. I spent countless hours either on the phone or at their store dealing with this door for 7 months!
Worst experience ever didn't show up called to find out what happened and all they do is lie one lie after another so who knows when I'll get it.

Maytag washer
This thing is absolute junk. Worked for two months and was broke down for the next 6 months because Maytag will not service due us being "too remote". We are 6 miles from the Priest River city center and 18 miles from home depot in Sandpoint. The closest certified repair person is 9 hours south in Boise. Finally got it fixed after 6 months and guess what? Its broken again with the same F2E2 code. Why does Home Depot sell products that are not supported? Shame on HD because they know all of this. Not to mention i bought the extended warranty. Save your money on that too, it's useless. Believe it or not but they actually gave us a brand new Hotpoint washer to use while ours was waiting for repair and that is now leaking gear oil all over the floor. Junk is Junk! & Good Luck!

I went to store #122 and the AfroAmerican man spoke and I told him what I was looking for and he do thing and I waited about 4mins and then I left the store with out my paint. Very Disappointed in the Pour Customers Service!
In April 2021, we ordered custom cabinets for the garage. We chose to go with Home Depot (HD) although the quote was substantially higher than Closet World. Our thinking was the HD reputation must stand for something. The delivery date was July 29 for a job for three walls. HD called to set up an installation date of Friday, August 27, nearly one month late. In the one-month interim, we called and visited the HD in Mira Loma, CA where the designer entered the project on the computer and where we paid for the purchase. The store manager, Nick, was helpful in reaching out to different people at the manufacturing site in Vista, CA. But he too got the run around as we did with individuals lying to Nick that we were contacted by phone and email. None of that was true. Complete silence from HD, except Nick. Last resort, regional managers Linda D. And Courtney were contacted.
On the scheduled install date, no one showed or called. The installation was rescheduled for August 31. The installers arrived and quickly realized the measurements were off on multiple cabinets. When an installer asked who the designer was, he frowned in disappointment saying he hated doing projects designed by her. He called the designer, Joy, to ask about her design and dimensions. She revealed she was no longer with HD and that she anticipated there were going to be issues with our project. The installer suspects Joy was fired because of the bad reputation she had promising work beyond the installers' control.
Photo: Two cabinets made with the wrong measurements. Doors would not open if installed.
Conclusion: We sent the installers away with all the material. We have to start all over again or ask for a full refund and call Closet World.
My wife and I ordered flooring and carpeting from Home Depot. Biggest mistakes of our lives!
After coming to our house twice at 6am, the installers realized the new flooring didn't fit correctly. They came two more days to put in new flooring -- but didn't have enough material!
In short, they came to our house SEVEN times. It took my threatening to uninstall everything for them to finally finish the job.
I canceled the carpeting (which was going to take 6 weeks to install), because of their ineptness. (The other folks came to the house, and installed carpeting 2 DAYS later.)
I wrote to the corporate office, and was assigned a case manager. I had to call her TEN times before she finally emailed back that she was trying to reach me, which was a lie.
The customer service is the WORST I've ever experienced. I will never, ever walk into Home Depot for anything. This business is filled with employees running around like chickens with their heads cut off. All they care about is money -- not about the customers.

Terrible customer service and couldn't find a person to help wirh ordering a stove and microwave. Store opens at 7am but cannot order an appliance until 9am.
So i went into the store and spent and hour picking out appliances with the sales rep and i told her from the beginning i needed them asap. After picking them all out none were available to be delivered. She swapped them out for more expensive appliances that could be delivered on four days later. I waited on the day of delivery all day and no one arrived. When i called homedepot i was hung up on multiple time, transferred, disconnected, promised call backs with no call back. Eventually they told me the appliances would be delivered but a week later. They blamed the supplier or vender (what happened to instock!?!) I told them no i can't wait so cancel it. They said the can't and just wait for the appliances to come and then don't accept them. I said i can't do that because i need the money back to go buy appliances elsewhere. I spoke to sales associate, store manager, homedepot national customer service. They basically told me they look into it but couldn't do anything. This is absolutely the worst customer service on the plannet. Multiple chances to fix things and they did nothing. What a gigantic waste of my time and energy.
I ordered a vanity from home depot online with an advertised delivery date. The item was shipped and through tracking I could see that it was within an hour of my house a couple of days before the advertised delivery date. Then the date came and went and the calls began. NSD is who does the delivery for home depot and each time I would call I was told I would get a call back blah blah and nothing which put me on the phone again with home depot and then NSD back and forth over a week. Another date was set. You could tell taht NSD had clearly put it in the eyetem for delivery but when 8AM came it was taken out of that status again. They had no intentions of delivering on that date. At this point I am pretty certain something has happened to the item. I leave a scathing review of NSD and low and behld I get a delivery date of the following day, today. I wait around AGAIN and they do show up. As the guys are taking the box out of the truck you can clearly see its damaged and parts are actually falling out. Imagine that?!?!? I refuse the delivery (Thank god I was here) and call home depot. I get a "Supervisor" that advises me I can only get a replacement by paying again for a new one and then waiting for NSD to report back to them to get a refund. Steer clear people... Shop at Lowes.

I have been a Home Depot Customer for nearly 30 years and have been relatively happy with them. However, I have made four online orders and every damn order has been an absolute nightmare. I ordered a shower door from online and the order was canceled before delivery. I re-ordered the door they said it would be in April 16,2023. Did NOT arrive. It came in four days later. I ordered shower tile, same damn thing, was supposed to be in the store on April 20,2023. Got an email saying it is in. Got to the stgore, they said not in will be in next week. 15 Minutes after AI left the store they called and sid the ile is in. Drove back to the store and it was there. Wen to to pick up my shower doors and they had the hardware for the door BUT NO THE DOORS. Last week I ordered 66 Bags of concrete to be delivered on Friday morning 5-19-23. Got an email saying they were unable to delivery the order as there was no one over 18 to sign. After 6 phone calls was finally told the order was NEVER put on the truck. Now the next delivery date is May 29,2023. So I cancelled the order and will be dealing with Lowes, Bernards or anyone other store rather than Home Depot. Absolute $#*! service
